4381  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto vs stock markets on: December 18, 2019, 03:59:06 PM
Depends on your country. Stocks generally do not do as well as crypto in terms of price increase. Being long I traded it. Probably around 2006-2011 when things weren't as fast as they are today.
My experience back then wasn't a pleasant one. Most of my stocks were disappointing that I had to sell everything. I probably was patient and experienced.
4382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance USDT Lending (Fixed 6% interest for 1 month period) on: December 18, 2019, 03:44:05 PM
Hey Guys!

Do anybody here lucky enough to invest on Binance lending 6% interest in USDT? I waited on this event but its already full after few minutes when it opens.

Yes, it is filled up within few minutes but anyone can lend other option too. Besides lending, there are few coins which are offering staking facilities. I am doing staking of TRX, ONE, and other coins. I think Binance is giving a huge chance of income for its members. I really appreciate this type service specially staking.

Seems there is very high demand for this USDT lending by lenders and borrowers.  Op should probably follow it closely for the next opportunity.

Wonder how safe is staking on the exchange staking facility. I personally do not think staking on exchange is a good idea. I guess most people will eventually choose the staking approach rather than running things themselves.
4383  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: handling bitcoin volatility on: December 18, 2019, 01:48:39 PM
Everyone who has ever traded for more than a couple of hours have had episodes where their trades are wrecked because of bitcoin volatility reflecting on the whole market.

What tips do you guys have regarding protecting yourself from bitcoin sudden moves?

You should consider using stop loss. It's automated trading feature that will quickly move back your fund to a stablecoin or other pair,  giving you peace of mind and allowing you time to plan your next moves. Altcoins tend to move along with Bitcoin...this is one of the reasons some prefer Bitcoin Stablecoin pair.
4384  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best Comparison between p2p exchanges on: December 18, 2019, 01:15:34 PM
yes it specifically for fees for p2p exchanges . if something is not right can you please specify , it will help others as well . I dont think its for promoting , though i checked other platforms and for me seems to be right , can you please name other p2p exchanges which works same way.

You missed more important ones like Bisq, LocalEtherum etc. I guess you should check them out as well to see if they are worth Including. I do not know how their fees are structured though
I guess your post title should read "fee comparisons between peer-to-peer exchanges". The current one sounds a bit like you're comparing the exchanges overall quality.
4385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Decisions for a better life on: December 18, 2019, 10:49:31 AM
We all know that being an addicted gambler is a very tough spot in our life, but what if you need to decide what to choose, your addiction or you family? i.e., the given situation will be that you need to decide on the spot if you want to pursue your "career" in gambling or make a good simple life with your family? what will you choose?

I think OP needs to make it clear, is it career or addiction? Gambling can be a career like a professional poker player does. Or you can also be the house, it is in line with gambling as well. Addiction is different. The gambler does not have control of his gambling habits.

Well, if you are an addict, you have limited choices actually unless you commit yourself to get cured by getting professional help. If I am an addict, it will be hard to choose family because addiction will make it hard for you to let go of the habit.

But if it is a career, then Family is the choice. I can always find another career if gambling is a conflict with my love ones.

People's bad experiences with gambling have made many to see it as evil... It is just as some people can get criticized for drinking alcoholic wine by those who dislike alcohol. It boils down on moderation. Things that have little to no harmful effects when taken in moderation shouldn't be a problem.
4386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use betting tips? on: December 18, 2019, 09:08:43 AM
I read tips but I dont use them blindly.  I have to agree with the idea behind the tip discussion or narrative.   It is my money after all and an opinion can be wrong as obviously knows for sure, the balance of play is the tricky part to play.   Hopefully there is enough info given and for genuine reasons thats its explainable and able to judge the likely accuracy.    Its rare to find a good tip, mostly people just go with someone whose had previous success and hope for the best, its alot quicker also I guess.

Good point. I guess Op blindly followed the tip without confirming it through additional research. Beside, before paying for such service, he ought to have asked the tipster(or read the terms of service) if he/she guarantees winning. I doubt any of them can guarantee that. If this is the case, he should never pay for tips and expect a good result.
4387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Importance of Double Checking while playing Roulette? on: December 18, 2019, 08:18:51 AM
Played Roulette in one of the reputed casino, on consecutive bets value spend was 0.00008192 eth. For the first two bets this was the value and mistakenly for the third consecutive bet unknowingly my fingers have touched the chips based on which value can be increased. This made the further bet amount to 1.00008192 eth, and the bet lost. Further I wasn't able to go for further betting. This ended the day a loss of more than an ethereum. If I've double checked I could've escaped such a massive loss.

Double checking is definitely the most important thing to do to avoid such mistakes. This kind error is one of the most common mistakes people make while inputting figures.

The casino owners should also try on their part to make it harder for their customers to make such mistakes. I believe they can do this by rearranging or designing things differently
4388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Strange Network Activity behind Litecoin Active Addresses. on: December 18, 2019, 08:01:55 AM
Does the periodic automated action affect the price of Litecoin in anyway? I guess the Litecoin people should observe if the periodic behaviors affect Litecoin in anyway specifically at the time the automated actions happen.
4389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to introduce crypto currency to newbies on: December 18, 2019, 07:26:45 AM
The Brave browser is a good way to start.

I think it's a good idea to get them earn cryptocoins without buying them too much or atall. And they should also be able to easily buy/sell things with their favorite cryptocoins. It would be nice to create crypto-based local/international marketplaces for them to buy and sell basic things.
4390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a better consensus based on mining? show your opinion! on: December 18, 2019, 07:07:15 AM
I think that the main point of energy-saving should be on the algo, if you are seeing more and more developers are creating new algos with more and more efficiency compared with the old algo. Remember when it comes to the algo that is having a very high efficiency that can reduce energy consumption.
I think that you must try to see X20 or X11 algorithm. both have been used by some coins too.

I agree with you that X20 is a good algorithm, but it is still not decentralized.
If there is an algorithm that allows existing ordinary computers to participate in mining at home or in the workplace, it is foreseeable that this method has unparalleled advantages.
To achieve this goal, low energy consumption is necessary, and another necessary condition is that no professional equipment can have higher efficiency. The 10%, 20% advantage may be acceptable, but 100%, 200%, or higher is not acceptable.
In addition, the waste of social resources caused by ASIC is great. Not only energy waste, but also competition with IC production capacity, the price of iPhone may therefore be higher.

I guess people who prefer the current model are  doing it for security reasons or
popular economic principle. It could fail eventually for many reasons.
The  important thing (I believe) is to have as many random people as possible participate in mining for the sake of decentralization and security  of a cryptocurrency.

4391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will centralization keep its dominance on the crypto industry forever? on: December 17, 2019, 05:13:36 PM
In my opinion, centralized exchanges/platforms should exist but shouldn't be promoted too much or above decentralized platforms for the sake of decentralization and security of cryptocurrency. The crypto communities should be promoting the decentralized platforms. The outside world could choose to promote what they want.

I think any cryptocurrency that has most of its value on centralized platforms shouldn't be seen as very decentralized.. Most of tradings should be happening peer-to-peer or via decentralized platforms. The point is to keep things censorship resistant, immutable, secure, trustless etc. Centralized usage of cryptos shouldn't be more than 40%...the less the better.
4392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A BOLD player is considered a dangerous player at casinos and sportbooks. on: December 17, 2019, 04:30:57 PM
He might be bold but he should also be wise on when to stop and when to continue, I have seen players like that who bet big amount just to chase the winning roll, but this kind of people although bold are sometimes reckless and put more funds in the hope of betting more thinking that he can beat the house not only once, or twice but continuously and this is where the problem comes.

Maybe the player is trying to expand or scale up his/her strategy. A good player will probably try to experiment with some strategies that work sometimes on larger scale. Example: he plays a strategy called Paroli (found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5206782.0) for four days, to win some days and lose some days in hopes of winning more days and making profits?
4393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese City Warns Investors: Crypto Isn’t Blockchain on: December 17, 2019, 02:36:35 PM
Weihai, a port city in Shandong province of eastern China, has a stern warning for investors: make sure you are really investing in blockchain innovation and not cryptocurrency masquerading as blockchain.

The Weihai Local Financial Supervision and Administration said Friday investors should be more cautious because illegal crypto issuance and trading are on the rise, according to a statement from the authority.

https://www.coindesk.com/chinese-city-warns-investors-crypto-isnt-blockchain

Interesting warning.
The government should probably warn people not to invest in centralized projects masquerading as Blockchain.

People should simply avoid projects that are under centralized control but not regulated by governments. True decentralized and solid crypto projects are safer.
4394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, Spouses and Divorce on: December 17, 2019, 01:44:57 PM
Just to clarify - I personally don't hide my BTC from her, if anything I wish she would be into Bitcoin too!

I'm just curious if anyone's partner has suddenly "woken up" to the value of Bitcoin and demanding you cash out immediately, perhaps after listening to the MSM and thinking it's some kind of bubble or ponzi scheme...  Angry

You should start listening to news that tell you the whole truth about Bitcoin. Bitcoin is not worst than fiat currencies. It's much better in my opinion. This is one of the most important things you need to let her know. Its price behaves alittle like gold... and it even has more purposes than gold.

I guess you should print out some fine bitcoins on paper to make them look like fiat currencies, maybe she will be convinced quicker if she could feel the fancy papers lol.

The "deflation" is as useful as other features of Bitcoin. So it is not a bubble nor mlm

I totally support you on this:

4395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it good to talk about big gains? on: December 17, 2019, 10:05:59 AM
Depends a lot. For crypto casinos you can safely tell, in general I think we should if we win. Partly because it is to help others identify that the casino is legit and not rigged (as in,,, they actually award the prize to a real person and not a fake user like some do). That makes more people join, your casino grows more and you can take advantage of more challenges and prize. For me,,, it is win-win all around to do this without giving away your privacy too much.

I'd rather use the cryptocurrency casinos or this forum to anonymously share my testimony. Doing this for physical casinos without anonymity can be quite risky. I will probably share if I live far from the physical casinos.
4396  Other / Off-topic / Re: Viagra vs Masturbation on: December 17, 2019, 06:59:23 AM
Dude what does viagra and Masturbation have in common I do not understand and to tell the truth Masturbation is extremely useful for the health of men.  It seems to me that it was paroxitine that caused your sexual dysfunction and erection problems.  At your young age, having no sex drive for a month is very strange. You should take otc viagra immediately and in this Canadian pharmacy you can order it without a prescription. Either start taking Viagra immediately, or immediately consult a doctor, because your erectile dysfunction can become chronic.

Well, if the world knew the spiritual implications of sexual lawlessness, most people will flee from it.
Too many evil are born into the world due to this lawlessness.
There is a curse attached to sex outside of marriage. So be careful people. This is not superstition.

If you are addicted to sex, destroy everything in your possession that causes the addiction.  Stop feeding your lustful flesh.
Kill the lustful flesh and walk in SPIRIT of Righteousness.

*SPIRIT of Holiness & Righteousness*.
Only the "I AM" can free you. HE is the SPIRIT of Holiness & Righteousness.

For the sake of those who will be pricked by their consciences after seeing that^ :
Children born under sexual lawlessness are redeemable, only by the ONE who sacrificed HIMSELF to break the curse.

Hear HIS words here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=j6ENtjQqgoA&list=PLIxhnx0kb33ORn8RQgHH54rdJMmqaRfmd&index=40

I was in the mess too but HE saved me and continues to guide me.

4398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be realistic for the world to run on cryptocurrencies? on: December 17, 2019, 05:31:34 AM
*run on real Blockchain/cryptocurrencies*

If cryptocurrency communities could do things better than governments in the area of regulation (self-regulation esp) nothing can stop us. We should be swift in dealing with crypto crimes and preventing them altogether.

*The key is to be ruled by laws that are extremely hard to circumvent*

To be honest, the decentralized world has been fairly immuned to many of the problems affecting the governments and centralised communities. So I think it is safe to say that "luck" will always be on our as long as we continue to do things right. No lawlessness! No tolerance for lawlessness!
Both the governments and the people need to be regulated or ruled by systems like Blockchain. Blockchain & other similar platforms appear to be one of the most effective ways to keep lawlessness under check. Everyone must be subjected to this fair system.
I don't not understand why a "honest person" will be so scared of real Blockchain/decentralization. I believe simple & effective education will help.
4399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 100% FREE 100% guaranteed gambling strategy 100% no-loss ever on: December 16, 2019, 08:21:17 PM
It's not just ignorance, some people just have a tendency to think that laws don't apply to them, that they are special and have luck, and they surely will win. So, a person can understand that the odds are against them, and still gamble like crazy because of their superstition. I think this is far more common than not understanding the math behind gambling.

That's true, irrational behavior is a big part of it but that's a bit different issue and it also involves self-control, addiction, and other problems. My focus here is those who just don't know and there are many people like that. There is no knowledge test that one needs to pass before starting to gamble, and casinos may show some generic legal text about "games of chance" before opening the account but they don't really tell their users "YOU WILL LOSE!!!" - might be bad for business. That's where all sorts of scammers come in, trying to sell scripts and strategies to misinformed/underinformed gamblers.
The irrational behavior of people will assure that they will keep playing, even if all the casinos around the world put a huge sign many times larger than the one that they use to advertise themselves and they put the message that anyone that dares to cross their door will lose their money people will still gamble and it will make no difference at all, it is similar to what happens with cigarette packs which have lots of warnings about the long term effects of smoking and very few people care about it.

Not sure if cigarette smoking is a good anology.
Smoking cigarette doesn't have much advantages or benefits unlike some gamblings. Besides, I don't know if there is such thing as moderation in cigarette smoking unlike gambling, like lottery, dice, etc.

A better analogy (for skill-based gamblings esp) in my opinion is the Drinking of alcoholic wine. Too much can get you drunk while moderate consumption could be beneficial. If you notice someone drinking frequently and too much, you should intervene to help him/her. Not sure if most casinos do this.

4400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2 Dice Strategies that Might be Proven Helpful on: December 16, 2019, 06:44:07 PM
Trying to understand the Paroli strategy properly... not very easy to understand I must admit.
Want to know if the first strategy  depends on luck as the second strategy? And if you lose the first bet, you bet again with another amount from your pocket? I wonder what the chances of winning the first round is... 50% and above? Or is it much lower than 50%? I  am not sure I would take that risk if my chances of winning is much lower than 50 except I rely on faith.
