441  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buying online with crypto? Its worthed? on: January 05, 2020, 02:51:44 PM
I used crypto to buy things in past but not anymore. Every crypto I buy now are intended to be traded to make a profit or hold till I get a good profit. I'd rather buy anything with fiat than to convert it into crypto and buy saving the conversion fees. I have in past lost a great value using crypto when it's prices were low.
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Pyramid Schemes are still Amongst Us on: January 04, 2020, 04:25:12 PM
One of the reason why they still exist is there's no clear line between a legit project or a Ponzi. Miracletele was surely a Ponzi from the start but when I called it so, I was bashed by people in this forum. Because they were having a profit from it.
Similar are many products that would give profit to early users and go bust sooner or later.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Death of ICOs on: January 04, 2020, 03:04:03 PM
Crypto is a rapidly changing tech and ICO was one of the first experiment of using blockchain for raising funds. There were several reasons for it to fail and the prime of all being the security of the funds as anyone could set up an attractive site and pay for a well written piece of fiction as whitepaper and get easy money. ICO is dead for the good. We still need improvement on how we invest through blockchain.
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just a quick warning on: January 04, 2020, 02:58:31 PM
No matter how promising a project might look, especially if they are new projects just look them as if they have nothing to offer and invest only what you can afford to lose. Do not keep your eggs in one basket, do you fall in love with a single coin, no matter how good they are always keep digging, many more good gems won't hurt than relying on a single gem 💍. Be smart

Yes. It's wise not to put more than 1/20th of your total funds on a single new project and you should at least hold 50% of your coins on tested and proved cryptocurrencies that are here for long. How good and promising may the project looks and how much you may believe in that, don't jump in with everything you have. Putting all your eggs in one basket can make you go vegetarian.
445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How easy is it to start your own crypto exchange? on: January 03, 2020, 11:02:03 PM
It could be quite easy to start a crypto exchange. You could buy a ready made script and set some APIs. The trouble is on running the exchange.
Even if you get users, your exchange would be a target for hackers and abusers. You would need an active team to counter any security threats and keep the site running.
With so much exchanges on rise, you need to have something unique to succeed.
446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Market Is Manipulated on: January 03, 2020, 10:23:55 PM
Bitcoin price is determined by the few whales who happened to hold since the early days. If they want they can pump BTC to 1M $ and if they want they can dump BTC to 100$.
Doesnt matter who you are, A BTC holder or a daily trader, whales control BTC price.
What I mean by whale? The person who have more than million Bitcoin.
Bitcoin technology is great but Market is compeletly different story.

Every markets are manipulative to some extent. Bitcoin has become one of the less manipulative but as there are fewer restrictions, the changes could be volatile.
I don't think a single or a group of whales would be able to move its price the way they want. They might be successful on most but they as bitcoin is one of the most decentralized value, the market sentiments have the larger role to play.
447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending Bitcoin over Bluetooth? on: January 03, 2020, 09:05:35 PM
It would be possible if both of the parties are genuine to each other. The transfer through Bluetooth would be similar to sharing private keys between two users.
If the sending party is to do a fraud, they can claim that bitcoin before the receiver and transfer away as the real sync occurs only on internet.
448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin fail if Satoshi is found? on: January 03, 2020, 09:00:34 PM
Bitcoin had became so large and independent that no single individual or even a powerful government could make it a fail.
Though finding the real satoshi may have some negative impact on it's price for a short period.
The pseudonym satoshi considered to be the father of bitcoin is flawless in every aspect.
But when we realize the true identity of that person/team/organization, not every of us would be satisfied.

450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teen crook hacked into 75 phones and stole $1M in cryptocurrency: authorities on: December 20, 2019, 04:05:00 PM
People can't always depend on others and they should learn to secure their devices themselves. Everyone learns from their own mistakes but a wise one should learn from others as well. It's a really bad idea to keep a large amount of coin in a mobile wallet. Though I too may be careless at times but every place I have more than $1K worth of coins stored. I increase security for that access.
451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Promoting cryptocurrency through altcoin on: December 19, 2019, 05:40:08 PM
Crypto has largely been synonymous of online gambling. So, online gambling without any restrictions could be one pulling factor for new users.
Earning crypto and getting rewards playing games, In game tokens as crypto would also benefit the use and adoption of crypto.
452  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: December 19, 2019, 05:35:52 PM
Never seen this happen. The game has stopped working for last 3K seconds. (over 50 minutes)
It's much larger than any maintenance I've ever seen on bustabit. And all of it unannounced.
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ETH dump even more due to PlusToken? on: December 19, 2019, 05:33:08 PM
There's no fault of the coin or blockchain if people are naive enough to jump into a ponzi. I too think the ponzi was just creating a increased number of transaction but had no significant effect on the price of Ethereum. It was not as popular in other parts of world and it got stopped before they ran away with most of those coins.

455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 32 ETH for staking?! on: November 17, 2019, 06:59:19 AM
It is definately high but while comparing it with some popular masternode coins like dash etc it is quite affordable for some people. But still it is not for average people. Average people must not do staking as it is not profitable for them.

If the beginner does not have a good strategy it is best not to take the bet and that is absolutely right. This becomes a matter that continues to be thought of by them if losses begin to approach them.
I was thinking about using a little money first to learn the market algorithm. Large capital certainly has a big risk, if you are just starting out, you should use less funds to find knowledge and use other funds for real work in daily life.

It's a gradual way to gain knowledge about opportunities to make money from what we have invested. If you are smart at it maybe this is not so dizzy for you.

Ethereum mining is also not for everyone. You need to have enough capital if you want to start a Ethereum validator node and 32 ETH is not only the full cost of the node. There would be other expenses involved. Most probably a VPS would be required for your node to remain active 24/7.

If you want to get involved, there certainly would be a online pool to invest in. Binance has already hinted they'll support staking of Ethereum in their wallet. Though the rates would be a bit lesser than running your own node but you would not need to worry about technical aspects of setting up and running.
456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How we can introduce bitcoin to local people on: November 13, 2019, 03:02:45 PM
Accepting and offering bitcoin as a payment could be the first step towards getting attention towards bitcoin.
Bitcoin is already popular in the news and people just need a small boost to have their first bitcoin wallet.
A simple banner about how bitcoin works or a banner about process of creating a bitcoin wallet could also be an option.
457  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex has moved to the Seychelles on: November 10, 2019, 04:08:11 PM
I'm not favoring the Poloniex and I too have left using it but ditching US customer was not the choice of Poloniex but was to prevent it from clashing with US authorities and I believe moving to Seychelles too was done to save the business. US is being one of the most restricted market for crypto. They wouldn't afford to keep their HQ in an unstable country in terms of crypto regulations.
458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a new process to reject more user from getting tokens? on: November 06, 2019, 05:35:45 PM
Actually the team must decide the kyc issue at the beginning of the prize or at least when the prize is running, so, we can decide to join the project or not, with a duration of 4 days of course it is a short time, and not all participants will be able to monitor their telegrams every day because of another busyness , it might not be wrong if some people think it's a game from the team not to send payment to prize participants.

The KYC was mentioned from the beginning. The users were told to verify the KYC while the campaign was running. The one that failed to verify the KYC for the 6 weeks were given a second chance of 4 days after the completion of the campaign. That was a generous move from the team and the  manager. They were not obliged to wait 4 days, yet they did. 4 days are enough time to verify KYC for a person that's following the project.
459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 18,000,000 bitcoins have been mined! on: November 06, 2019, 05:03:10 PM
In the mined 18 million bitcoin mined, half a million might already have been lost. Now there's not much bitcoin left and it would get rarer and rarer each day. And with the next halving in under a year, we could expect bitcoin to have a price boost within a year. So, it might just be the best time to buy bitcoins.
