441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC in your country on: May 15, 2015, 09:53:14 AM
Nice to meet another SEA user at Bitcointalk. Hmm.. if the country you live in have several ATMs, why only 1% of the population know Bitcoin? I'm thinking that they might know Bitcoin but they just dont use it.

Nice to meet you too.  Grin

The percentage who might have heard about Bitcoin might be higher. But I am certain that less than 1% knows for sure what Bitcoin exactly is, and what are its advantages. There is a lot of negative propaganda going on currently. It is very difficult to counter all that.

Yup I think in my country hardly anyone knows about bitcoin honestly speaking very few people knows about bitcoin but i doubt whether they have used bitcoins anywhere or not I haven't seen any ATM's yet in my country which makes me feel sad so need to wait for the right time.
442  Other / Off-topic / Re: If BTC goes to $1000 or more, what would you do? on: May 15, 2015, 09:48:43 AM
If bitcoin reaches $1000 or more I would prefer to sell a part of my bitcoins and earn the profit and keep the rest with me for the future and if in future the prices goes down i would prefer to buy again and watch the market closely and sell it again at the right time.

Yup selling it at a right time is important rather then getting greedy and wait for more price hike so it would be a wise decision to sell it off at a right price and gain profits out of it and buy it in near future when the prices lowers down and just follow this process
443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks and Bitcoin on: May 15, 2015, 09:45:56 AM
Hi evrybody,

i have a general question.

in your opinion, how banks can earn with bitcoin?

well from my point of view, i trust banks today because its more regulated and more established than bitcoin
because i see many exchanges being hacked thats why i think banks are safer place for your money

I think yes banks are the safest to keep your money as banks are also involved into hitech systems which keeps money more safer and it gives quick access to its customers across the globe so people prefer banks more as compared to bitcoins as bitcoin is new concept.
444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should the government do to make women start using Bitcoin? on: May 15, 2015, 09:42:21 AM
Government should start a workshop on creating the awareness level of bitcoins to the society and womens should be invited for free without charging anything from them as the womens are the best when it comes to shopping so they must be motivated to use bitcoin as more as possible.

I think government should ban fiat currency and the usage of credit cards that will make women to attract towards bitcoin and that will make bitcoin community more richer one as womens population is atleast 40% across the globe so if they get into bitcoins then it can be a profitable venture.

they can't ban their own currency, it would be stupid for them... women will eventually follow adoption, when it become more wider it will come naturally, you can't force them for sure

but besides this, what about transgender and other category like that? does they also need to use bitcoin

Yup that's true women should start using adoption of bitcoin that will make bitcoin more popular and I believe the users of bitcoin should introduce it to their friends and family so that they are aware about the bitcoin and start using it as mode of payment.
445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you have a favorite city or country to spend time and Bitcoins? on: May 15, 2015, 09:31:12 AM
Hmm.. I do travel to another country once every two or three years. Have not spend Bitcoin in another physical country. Would like to travel and use Bitcoin in the future. To be honest, I never bought product physically using Bitcoin. Most of my spending is on the internet.

Same here even I haven't tried bitcoin yet in shopping or any clubs or restaurants. But hopefully in near future would love to do so at present I am using it only in converting to my local currency when I am in need of money. So we need to go Cashless no need to carry fiat.Bitcoin will take care of everything
446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin? on: May 15, 2015, 09:27:23 AM
i've been around this community a few years and i still don't get why anyone would chose bitcoin.

don't get me wrong i believe in an alternative p2p currency, but to me bitcoin certainly doesn't cut it.

about the only answer people have is first mover advantage. but that's pretty much it.

bitcoin seems to, over time, be drifting more into a centralised system, core dev team where so few as 5 completely control the code, backed by what has come to light time and time again a very questionable central organisation.

have VC with their little startups jumping on board left right and center, and we know their goals  Kiss, bitcoin's heading more and more like being the bank product it was meant to be an alternative to  Shocked

seems the only way to back bitcoin is keep your head it the sand and hope it'll all turn out good in the end........

well i think it is because bitcoin is already an established crypto currency unlike those altcoins even though some of them are innovative are not yet well established and not much of it are supported by many people

invest in other altcoin is like a gambling with no guarantee return of your initial amount there is much big risk involve in it but Bitcoin is the safest investment for bright future, so much public awareness and merchant acceptance around the globe.

I Agree. Altcoin is not a better option no doubt it is attractive at present but there is high level of risk involved with it so its better to stick with bitcoins and as the adoption and acceptance level will go high the bitcoin will regain its popularity and the perfect value.
447  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you do with your btc? on: May 15, 2015, 09:24:01 AM
HODL & wait for better times  Grin
No matter what price you bought in at whether at 2 USD or 1000 USD there is no point in selling now.
The price will get better than what it is at present, it has to.
Be patient and wait for better times is my advice.

Yeah that is correct its better to keep on hold at present as prices have lowered down. Have patience and wait for the best time  to sell. In my opinion if you have some savings than grow your bitcoins at present as this is the best time to invest and wait for the right to sell if off.
448  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is Bitcoin Legal? on: May 15, 2015, 09:19:09 AM
I Don't think its legal. It can be only legal if Government accepts and confirms that it can be the currency apart from the fiat. Till Government doesnt permit it I guess its illegal as Govt and Law are the highest Authority of any country so without their confirmation its not legal.

No I think its legal. It is decentralised and nobody has control over it and unless if you are not involved in criminial activities or money laundering I think its legal. And talking about government I believe it will take long time that government starts supporting bitcoin.

455  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Net Neutrality in India on: May 08, 2015, 07:15:21 PM
Internet is the most powerful invention of our time, it has changed the game just like the wheel and agriculture did for mankind. Any attempt to make internet dependent of fancies and greed of politicians and big corporate houses will defeat the very purpose of internet.
Net neutrality is really important for India like developing country.

Yup that's true that net neutrality is very much important for the developing country like India as now everything works on internet but due to Government of India participation in it the service providers are charging very heavy rates as compared to other countries which should be lowered down.
456  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Poll - Where are the most lies told? on: May 08, 2015, 07:07:37 PM
The Politicians lie in every stage and at every step. And they take support from the press and media. As the media people spreads the news in the most dramatic way and they know that society is influenced by media So society agrees what media shows them the story.

Yes Politicians are on the top of the list responsible for making false commitments and promises to the society and they don't even turn up once the elections are over. The society should take a pledge not to vote them as they don't contribute anything in the betterment of society.

It's easy to point a finger on anyone around us. But we forget that lies are told by everyone. We don't notice our mistakes and we start judging people around us. So ya politicans are liars but are we honest?? we also lie at many stages and for very small things..

That's true. Its always easy to blame others and its every very easy to point out others mistakes. Politician lies and they get support from media and press but i think media people are more  liars then politicians as they will add fuel to the fire when it comes to spreading rumors.
457  Other / Politics & Society / Re: My mommy bought me an education, am I smart now? on: May 08, 2015, 07:01:25 PM
It has been observed that some of the private colleges in India take donations from students without giving the receipts , in turn, proving to be a source of 'black money'. Furthermore, the entrance exams are not conducted in a fair way. Deserving candidates are not able to gain entry to colleges due to financial problems.

@bold: In India?  Huh  My mom completed her post graduation in Law without paying a penny as she got a scholarship from the Government and Freeship as well. I too got a scholarship from the Government during my Engineering course.

It's wrong to quote statements which are untrue.

You must be talking about 19th century then..lolz..I don't know what your age is but just go the universities for  an admission and you will get the clear picture. Are you really from India?? I doubt. That's why students from India prefers to go abroad and study as the expenses are same but atleast you also hold a PR in countries like Australia and Newzealand till your course is over and that is an added advantage.
458  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate? on: May 08, 2015, 06:56:07 PM
Yes But the thing is people did this many time they dont stay away from it .....they always think that im right and the next person is wrong whether he is wrong or right.......Sad

No one have tedency to accept their own mistake....they always blame others

That's Right. What is the most Easiest & most Difficult thing in the world? And the Answer is "Mistakes".

Easy to judge when other does it & Easy to ignore when we ourselves do it.

That's the mentality of a human being and its a human nature no one will accept their own mistakes and when you have this attitude you start hating others.
459  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: May 08, 2015, 06:47:43 PM
No neither its dead nor dying. Bitcoin has a great future and it will grow its value in coming years Once the Government start accepting as a currency it will grow more and that would directly increase its value so i don't think its dying for next 15 to 20 years atleast.

But how are you so sure that government will acppeted our bitcoin is this world? There is so many things that they must do before they are going to aceppt it and I dont think they will do that. There is fiat that government control so I dont think its value will rise with this kind of way

That's the problem we are facing that Government will not accept the bitcoin as currency. It's really difficult to believe that Government will accept it as its an threat for an fiat money and banking system so lets what future is going to offer us is it bitcoin or fiat?

I dont think I get you word. But what I know is we just can wait for the best, may be government will came out with new regulation about bitcoin that profitable to us. Why not we going for it? For noww we just can save or earn as many as bitcoin we have and make it alive not let it dying

Yeah believing in the best we can think positive that Government gives full support to bitcoin and start adopting and accepting it as a currency. Need to have patience and preserve the bitcoins for the future and can trade when the right time and right value is offered.
460  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I invest? on: May 08, 2015, 06:43:05 PM
Investing in USD would be a greater option. As the value of USD is increasing day by day and one day its worth would be more then EURO. And it will most powerful currency of the world so i suggest you should go for USD as an investment option as USD is the king.

Bad Option. You can never know the future of USD. It doesn't guarantee you that it's price would be at the highest level in the future. You can't assume that investment in USD would be profitable infact the value of fiat  would go down in future so i think at present bitcoin is better option to invest.
