The quality and usefulness of the protocol is not dependent on the developer's name or popularity. Its dependent on the function of the protocol. No one knows who satoshi nakamoto is, yet there is real usefulness in the bitcoin protocol. Don't trust the developers, look at the code. If you cant look at the code, look at the features of the protocol, judge if there is intrinsic use for them in society and then trust the community that peer reviews the code.
If there is no peer reviewing of the code, you are dealing with a closed organization... good luck to you.

i see one feature in bitcoin desktop wallet is passphrase, can i set passphrase to my wallet.dat then send it to my friend ?
Yes, you can, but anybody with access to this email can see the balance and the public keys - even when encrypted. If you use GPG as a second encryption layer you can avoid this.

hello, i want to send my wallet.dat to my friend, but i want he only can access my wallet to get information (cant send out my coins), anyways to security my wallet before send it to my friend ?
Encrypt your wallet with a strong password and use GPG as a second encryption layer. This way your wallet.dat file will not reveal any information, like the public keys or in- and outputs. You can send it by email or you can even post the PGP ASCII file in public anywhere you want.

TWO strategies are now challenging bitcoin core Bitcoin ≠ Bitcoin Core well you will have to defend that notion, Bitcoin is a protocol with a consensus, Bitcoin Core is a client based on that protocol.

I thought that using those hardware wallets is the most secure way of storing Bitcoins but now I am doubting, i guess i will keep my BTC on my online wallets with a password that i put on a safe place. But still i am planning to buy a ledger nano to try myself the security of that hardware wallet.
Online wallet is a bad choice. Use Bitcoin Core on an offline machine. edit: https://medium.com/@tednobs/how-to-create-a-secure-bitcoin-cold-wallet-82f82be4bfa

I agree with many of the comments made here. Hardwear wallets (cold storage devices) are much safer than online wallets, and my personal view is that paper wallets are the safest if you are in it for the long haul. Just make sure to purchase the desired hardwear wallet from the manufacturer, NOT from 3rd party sellers ( especially the ones you find on eBay ).
Everything is safer than online wallets...
