1) Never sell lower than you bought in at. You will regret it.
2) Now is the time to buy.
3) Bulls make money, bears make money, pigs get slaughtered.

I made 8 cents worth of bitcoin when I solved captchas, I wanted to have reason to have a wallet and see how well transfers were, now its worth like 70 cents or something, the faucet's gave me a little to play with and I came to understand wallets a little, they serve their purpose I think.
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: QRK prediction ? on: December 14, 2013, 09:03:05 AM

445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quark Coin Dev Says its a SCAM "Kolin and Max have disappeared" on: December 14, 2013, 08:40:15 AM
All I see is a coin war going on, somebody is willing to spend BTC to run this coin into the dirt while somebody is willing to spend it to prop it up, what would be interesting to see is some well known figures in the BTC community that have no stake in alt's come out and give the Alt investing folks a rundown about the security of the network compared to others with an unbiased objective approach, we have not seen this yet, I do see people attack it and they may have a good position to do so, but, they do it with unfounded allegations (or buried in the past reason's) and i see supporter's that cannot put in layman's term's the benefit this particular coin has compared to others, the random hashing of multiple types of encryption make it appear as a good solid possible (as alt's go), if the above thread makes any sense lay it out for me, i hold about 550 QRK, wow right? if you followed this alt then you know as well as me that several people holding other alt's are dead set against it, makes alot of sense to paint a bright target against your competitor, WARNING!!!! Your trading action playing with this supposedly unregulated currency may bring civil and/or criminal charges! (just saying) any and all exchanges are subject to any/all International law and any court that wishes to subpoena server information may do so if a court action is triggered by any person within its jurisdiction (just saying), as banks and governments put out warnings across the globe about crypto currency they gather information about the players, traders, distributors, and developers, if you own any alt coins - that information is stored somewhere, if you have used your holdings to manipulate a pump and dump in an unethical way then you might be in the same class as DPR, a class that is split into 2 category's: 1. Ignorant to the real possibilty's 2. so far gone they do not care.
With all that said, I still think QRK is a good coin, I happen to like its random multi hashing and I hope my 550 coins will be worth something someday (looking off into the distance).
446  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hey there, I'm making the Bitcoin movie on: December 13, 2013, 04:38:34 PM
801 backers, very cool, very cool. i hope this film shows the positive side to crypto currency and not just the lawlessness happening with it, cause i think people have gotten the wrong idea about it which makes them slow to use it and then they are kicking themselves later.
447  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Difficulty level predictions - is mining toast - Is everyone heading into war on: December 13, 2013, 04:29:29 PM
As cost of mining goes up wont the cost of the coin? seems about normal to me, 4 months time to double your investment? That is pretty good I think
448  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hi all. on: December 13, 2013, 04:19:38 PM
I'm kinda new to the whole coins scene and mostly I joined so I could ask some questions. Am sort of wondering how much luck I'm going to have with Bitcoins considering I'm having problems with the install (details are in another thread that I just posted), but I'm hoping things will smooth out once I get up and running. Mostly I'm interested in the whole ecommerce with alternative currencies thing and it will be very interesting to see how long it takes before virtual coins are as widely accepted as credit cards.  Wink

I don't think, why the price of bitcoin, so crazy  Shocked
at the beginning of 2012 the price is very low, I follow mine small at triplemining.com, mining.bitcoin.cz, btcguild.com and 50btc.com from january 2012 until september 2012 and I stop.
There is alot of discussion about how crazy the price is, personally i think its cause it is new, there will always be some fluctuation but the sell offs are going to get smaller and smaller and price will stop dropping so low, maybe only 1 more time that it crashes, who knows?

451  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: where to buy BTC on: December 13, 2013, 05:42:09 AM
Search for bitcoins locally, a local meetup is a great place to get started, I found sellers in my local classified ads.

453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: QRK prediction ? on: December 13, 2013, 04:22:15 AM
You might like to put a time limit on that $10 smurf thing. all alts seem to be to be rising.
454  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is coinbase safe as an online wallet/Group Buys on: December 13, 2013, 12:31:13 AM
coinbase is supported by the local meetup community where i am, they ask businesses to use them to hold a bitmob, usually restaurant's, in the U.S and there have not been bad reviews by the members.
455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All this mining is ultimately meaningless on: December 13, 2013, 12:23:02 AM
bitcoin mining should make some sense, the currency needs a secure network, there is an alt with a purpose for science, not pushing it here, but along with primecoin and datacoin it does have a purpose  curecoin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=330685.0

457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Altcoins could be extremely beneficial to invest in? on: December 12, 2013, 11:44:50 PM
For a bull run? litecoin is set up to take make a good play, either way, short or long, I would say LTC cause the main currency BTC has a rather large community and the larger portion has accepted LTC as here to stay, its tested and proven, there are other high risk alt's but I would think if were talking currency some of the coins out there do not fit in the category, say like master coin, protoshares and the like, they may be in the altcoins list's, but are rather more of a security.

459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New altcoin - Searching for dreamers- Code name: Bernoulli on: December 11, 2013, 12:24:07 AM
New feature, I would like to see something like this:

Now after having read a little about datacoin and I really like the idea around something like PTS and being able to earn a return on a digital currency, would it be possible to store coins in a blockchain? With them in the open is there a way for them to be secure? If so could something be made that you pay a fee for deposit your coins into and come back 1-5 years and collect interest on them?
Could it be possible to deposit other coins such as BTC, LTC, PTS or whichever, I think yes
Could mining (forging) be done by depositors when they turn on their computer? small amounts of processing, why not?
This is surely a way to decentralize banking, I have no clue how all this programming works, I just have high hopes that something like this would be possible, and when I read about datacoin, well you get a crazy idea....
