Does anybody kwow what happened with the 207 BTC sellwall at 142k @mintpal around 12 hours ago.
Was it gone or eaten
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: May 20, 2014, 06:43:58 PM
Bitcoin rises 10% and suddenly pretty much all altcoins are in the green. HAHA, I am so looking forward to BTC = 1000$...

I can't wait until BTC-E and Bitstamp pickup Darkcoin.

What makes you think BTC-e would add DRK. I would be great but don see this. They havenīt changed their coins since months.
Even DOGE wasnīt added.

looks like some guys cash out to buy som MRO. Already half the price of DRK with a very strong rise within last 24h.
Could be a hard landing for people want to make a quick profit and sell DRK to go in.
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: May 19, 2014, 04:47:51 PM
Just to inform you after around 13 hours my cryptsy DRK deposit has finally cleared....

Its always the same with this exchange. People are waiting hours on hours for clear their deposit and then in one breath they clear all deposits and price crashes as some have autosell option.

This behavior killed price of VTC from 650k to 175k over weeks. Shxxx exchage

I did try to do a bit arbitrage trading between cryptsy and Mintpal.
Afer done on a volume of 0,25 BTC i did recalclulate my trades as i did wonder where my profit was lost.

So i found out i payed 0,15% fee of volume at mintpal and 3% on cryptsy.

Cryptsy Charged me 3%, Iīve been done with them. Not only their bad transaction times, they also rip off their costumers !

Has somebody a link to their fees table ?

The one on Mintpal is easy to find, the fees table on cryptsy  Huh

Cryptsy charges 0.20% to buy and 0.30% to sell. Are you sure about your numbers?

I found out, they list their fees with 9 decimal places (instead 8 as usal for BTC ) and you cant import their table with copy and paste in excel so i did it by hand. They charge me 0.3% fee, it was a sell order

Can somebody explain from where the masternodepayments come from. Itīs not from transaction fees, but 10% from mining.
Does that mean reward for miners will drop or will these 10% be ontop on the blockreward, which means more coin supply ?
Miners will get 90% of the block / masternodes 10%. So, it's miners -10%.

Thanks, this will make DRK the most most unprofitable coin to mine even it is on a ATH ( since minimum 2..3 months now )
Is there anything i canīt see. Wtf is mining this coin instead of buying ? Dontīt get me wrong i think there is something behind i cantīs see.
I transfered all my DRK finally to my walltes to not let me loose one more by daytrading.

449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Vertcoin | Scrypt N | Beat ASIC on: May 16, 2014, 07:03:50 PM
I'm actually happy that the price has dropped, I want to mine this coin for the next months at low difficulty because in July/Aug we will see the first flood of ASIC scrypt miners and we will have a huge flood of GPU miners migrating to VTC and shooting up the difficulty.

Are you sure the Asics arenīt already on the networks ? Manufactorers mine until they got their ROI and than they sell and make the second time profit.
Private miners finally never get back their invest even if they sell all coins they mine !

Why the f** they need months to deliver. Only one reason, ripp of the lost $ out of their costumers when they already ripped the market :-(
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Vertcoin | Scrypt N | Beat ASIC on: May 16, 2014, 06:57:36 PM
On current diff and price you better buy than mine if you pay more than 0.1€/kwh

Merged mining.

Innovation = you bring something new. Namecoin was being merged-mined like 3 years ago.

For every claim of a "good dev team" the question should be: Show me what have they developed.

They should be able to demonstrate something. Right?

Yes, I think the last couple months clearly show that it's a "show me" market now - not as much tolerance for promises/platitudes that aren't backed by substance, or for coins that don't have something unique in place or planned.

Exactly. The time where people were joining on 50 news coins per day is over. Now it's you either deliver or you get obliterated. Changing the hash to something else to avoid ASICs is something that ANY coin can do. It doesn't need a "great dev team", just the willingness of a coin creator to do so.

Since ASIC resistance is the main selling point of Vert, it will need to deliver something right there. Perhaps develop a new hash function that is not even GPU-mineable / can't be ASIC'ed. Otherwise its promise to simply change the hash is something that anyone can do.

If it can also do stuff on other fronts, even better. It's unacceptable for top20 coins to still have clone-coin mentality.

itīs nice to see how good vtc is doing today wilh a lot of people need btc to go into DRK. ( BC seems to loose a lot )

ALSO - MON is back on the track - looks like the pools dumped their stock and now we find a price that compares to Nethash and diff
452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MON | Monocle | Merge Mined on VTC Vertcoin - No Premine - Scrypt-N on: May 15, 2014, 03:25:48 PM
I'm trying to make MON transfer but the wallet wants to charge a huge fee of 0.25MON for 200 coins or 0.67 for 377 transfer wtf  Huh Huh Huh

let them in yor wallet instead selling too cheap. looks like people recognice they sold to cheap. There are only a few coins on sale and available.
This morning i was able to buy 430 mon in range of 32..48k
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: May 15, 2014, 02:33:20 PM
A thought and honest question to all GPU miners supporting the DRK network:

Are you mining this coin in a profitable manner? If not, why are you continuiing to mine DRK, instead of simply buying?

Good to see so many traders are profiteering on the wild ride, but as a miner I have only lost money mining DRK.
No matter how valuable I think DRK is, I can/should no longer support it through mining.

As a miner I'm an essential element of the DRK eco-system, without us there is no DRK.
No network, no security, no transactions, no minting.
Unfortunately, we loose money all the way through.
Two months ago, last month, today, next month.

And the traders are hyping and cashing in hard on this coin, providing no intrinsic value to the DRK eco-system (?)

Considering hedge mining profitable, implies one does not understand that it's still (much) better to buy DRK now with the same capital than to invest in mining.
My personal situation is that I cannot even break-even on a daily basis (power cost), let alone have my investment back.
Just stating a fact. I'm still supporting the network currently.

How many miners have been supporting DRK in the past months running an unprofitable setup like I have?
Most people can't or don't bother to calculate if they're profitable or not, they usually find out the hard way after they already made the investment and for unclear reasons somehow continue after all. How do you see this network growing with many? GPU miners wondering if they should continue mining?

The miners should just continue to loose money while others are making huge gains simply buying?

So (most) miners loose money, yet we are a fundamental layer in the DRK eco-system..
So (most) buyers/traders gain money, but what's the value to DRK..

Miners = sheeple ? :|

My DRK 0.02.

I was also mining in unprofitable area (EU) but now buying instead. I am getting min. 50% more than by mining.
It could only be that there are a lot of areas around the globe which have very cheap energy prices.
In germany we have prices around 0.36US$ +
In US 50% of  that and maybe in china much lower
Each miner is also a trader and investor and be sure they all can use a calculator.
Also some big farms maybe have very good contracts or can buy cheap energy which is supported by industrial subsidies like it is in germany.
All private consumers have to pay for the big companies to have cheap power for them.

Big buyer has returned for more

Rally on  Grin

It's so nice that DRK is taking the attention away from VTC at the moment, we will enjoy low difficulty and cheap coins while their bubble lasts.
Once DRK crashes and burns we'll be here waititng

VTC in BEAST MODE

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vvuLAl99ec

As much as i beleive in vtc.
DRK is favored by miners due to low power consumption and low heat as well.
Summer time wont help vtc fast enough either.
Once DRK fpga miners are busted then we'll see vtc jumping again.

DRK isn't favored by miners... it's unprofitable even if you factor in the lower power consumption.

My fav. by mining was X11 because my dayly loss by mining DRK was lower than VTC because of powerconsumption.
Both i can buy 50% more than mine them so i shut down my miner for now.
Both seems to be undervalued in compare of mining/buying in my area but it lookslike there are still enough places you can
mine profitable and sell them immediatally.

Donīt discuss even DRK or VTC, go for both

'Flower Technology products’ newly announced capability to mine Scrypt-N coins is revolutionary, though you may not have yet realized why. Scrypt-N coins, such as Vertcoin, were developed to counter the imminent influx of efficient ASICs miners to the Scrypt-based cryptocurrency market. Scrypt-N is a different algorithm than Scrypt, but our engineers have brilliantly tweaked our product to be able to mine either variety of coin. We are now able to offer our customers financial mitigation against the forthcoming flood of Scrypt-based coins to the market by offering the world’s first and only Scrypt-N ASIC miner, securing your Scrypt-N investment up to a difficulty of N=16384'

Time for Vert to change algo?
I like that VTC dropped the "ASIC Resistant" for "Beats ASIC".

Thats a good point - change "resistant" to "beat" - thats why we support it
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: May 15, 2014, 10:42:42 AM
100K......I can't beleive it
i predict it will be 180k soon then who knows maybe to 300s

100k now Huh? That was weeks ago. We are at 1,000k now
457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: May 15, 2014, 10:41:19 AM
The only thing why you should sell now is to buy it back cheaper later - i donīt see any other reason why to sell.

Itīs like playing lottery. Sell now and you maybe sit on your BTC because you are not able to buy back cheaper.
If you win you can own more DRK, if you lose you sit on your BTC.

Looks like selling now is a loose loose game Grin  I like more playing win win games

Buy the way, if you had followed the advise of AC2 you would be out of the game since 2 weeks now and you would
damm hin selling your DRK for BTC on levels like 200k
458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MON | Monocle | Merge Mined on VTC Vertcoin - No Premine - Scrypt-N on: May 15, 2014, 10:17:51 AM
TO THA MOON!

After VTC is growing over the last days i like more to buy some MON than VTC momentary.
For me it would take weeks to get 500 MON, on that price people given them away for nothing
itīs a bargain. Itīs time to switch to longer term thinking than only from day to day to get some
more shit BTC. DRK and VTC short term to overload -> buying MON instead   Grin

459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Vertcoin | Scrypt N | Beat ASIC on: May 15, 2014, 09:38:51 AM
So this will be the end of gpu minig.

So as the VTC market began to rise within the last days you can expect people are sure it will be dead soon.
They want to loose their money and invest into VTC. Thats how markets are working

This was announced weeks ago. Donīt be scared about that. How much memory do they have to build into their machine to
support N=16384 ? A variable canīt be coded into a electronic cuircut without loss of performance copared to a hardcoded circuit without
a variable parameter. Thereīs a big fight about the asics manufactorers and only to be able to mine scrypt n they developed something with a lower performance than others be able to Huh  All bullshit. Let them come out in a few months or longer and weīll see.
Do you have any information about the finacial background they have to be able to develop such chips ?
The only thing they do is to sell their worthless hardware after they mined out the last shit with their asics and then sell them to customers to made the second time a profit on it. When you buy today until itīs delivered diff of ltc has reached levels youīll never reach ROI
