1070 will hash about 28MHs and about 100W, it is more expensive, but you have more mining option.
Could you please point me in the right direction to get information/setup information for that kind of mhs for a 1070? I'm only getting 23mhs with my 1080  23mh on eth was reported on 1060, correct me if im wrong. I want to get some too and searching around I was looking at whattomine number, are they wrong? I'm more than ever confident that ETH will overtake BTC. I would not be surprised at all to see 500$ in the near future (in less than a year). Look at it now, it seems to be touching 200$ again.

Depends at what price you can get em really. 570s are ridiculously overpriced like the 580s most of the time. Fortunately you can get those overpriced cards for less than some 1070s. Unfortunately for folks like me I prefer to pay in BTC on Newegg for GPUs and they sell out in minutes.
I was lucky to get gigabyte 570 4g for 184$ each on newegg and pushed them to 29Mh/s but what about 1060/1070 hashrate ? 1070 will hash about 28MHs and about 100W, it is more expensive, but you have more mining option. |

There is also something else different than in late 2013, is that it's been more than a year that mining ETH is profitable. And guess what? Last year (in feb) it was the same talking, don't buy GPU ETH will go POS soon and so on..
In fact, it's better than last year, because we have far more option to mine (ETH, ETC, ZEC, ZCL, LBRY, UBQ, etc)

In my case I found transactions confirmations WAY too long with BTC, and can be a problem when you need to react quick in this volatile market.

I think BTC is a good buy now vs alts because:
when it pump, alts go down because people selling them for btc
when it go down, alts go down because people selling it asap to cash out btc too.

What is your status now,how will you deal in a bear market like we saw today,what are the exact reason for the market to go down,if there any specific reasons for the investors to book profit today.I am pretty new to this whole deal and i really cannot figure out entirely how the market runs .Since we have seen a massive growth in the price of all the alt coins is it possible to see those values again,i just like to hear your opinion.
The present situation is pretty simple, BITCOIN is aiming at 2000$ right now, and everyone know that major alt coin were beeing pumped very high and that can't always go up. So they are now selling for BTC. My situation right now, I'm at some fresh alts that seems to have good potential and that did not get as massive pump yet. So my major bet is Bitsend for now (BSD) They have about 268 Masternodes running, and each cost 25 000 BSD , so that mean that of the current 14 000 000 (a little more) existing coins, about 6 700 000 are keep under hands that strongly belive in the curency. So that means that if a pump occur, it will jump fast, as there is only a low supply that is trading. Maybe when the drop in major alts will stop, it will be time to buy back, but today is still unsure, that is why new alts are less prone the be dumped 30-40% down. For now , I hold 50% in BTC waiting for all of it to settle back. Interesting times! |

Here are some altcoins that I think it could be a good move to have in 2017. It would be nice to recheck in say, 3 months (march 2017) what is my success rate. I will explain how I would distribute in % of holding I would go. (So for example, I have 1000$ to invest, if I say I would go 10% on this one, then it's 100$)
1) ETH
Price this moment (2016-12-16): 0.01 BTC or 7,90$

Yes ETH price dropped a lot, but it seems now that the drop is over. It could go back to 1 000 000 000$ marketcap but of course I'm not all in for this one. Let's say 20%
2) Bitcoin

Not that much to say, it's the king and since the halving in july 2016 that price is still rising slowly, but I don't expect it to double, so a safe bet. Another 20%
3) Monero

UPDATE 2016-12-28: 13,72$
Stay solid at over 100 000 000$ marketcap, could go easy to 150 000 000$ marketcap again. Another 20%
4) Blackcoin (BLK)

This one is a different strategy. It seems to always oscillate between 2 000 000$ and 3 000 000$ marketcap. So right now it's time to buy and watch when a pump occur and then resell for profit (just before 3 000 000$) Another 20%

Ok this one is more for a homerun or nothing. It cost nothing, so risk is very low. If it gains attention it will enter BTC market and more exchange. So an easy X10 on this one if this occurs. so 10%

so u tried this miner? what is the fee on it? have any screenshot for speeds and settings? thx..ill try this miner in some hours. I tried it. It doesn't work on the pool.. You get low readings on the pool. I confirm the same thing here, 725 mhs on a gtx 1080, but much lower in pool and get memory errors in 30 mins of mining. |
