If that was the case, you can't blame BPB for it I think. Sure, he owned the service, but he wasn't doing the illegal stuff with it.

Not attaching any blame. You missed my " LOL ". I thought it was funny.

VPN means virtual private network so I guess it wasn't so private. I pay for a vpn service and have no privacy issues whatsoever.
442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the best Investment Option for Bitcoins? on: June 12, 2015, 04:31:46 PM
The best investment option is cold storage.

Too many thieves, scammers, and hackers are out to get your btc.

Keeping 10 btc on an exchange for trading is hit and miss. Making money on the highs and lows is not as easy as it sounds. Then you always have the risk of the exchange getting "hacked" and losing your coins.

You are guaranteed to lose your btc trading altcoins, cloud mining, or gambling. Too many sharks and whales out there.

$10 or $1000. Either way is quite possible.

445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: alt coin rise? on: June 11, 2015, 09:08:50 PM
As the scamcoin devs slowed down their crap from feb-may, now whales/manipulators are going back to "older" coins for summertime (after they accumulated some with their spare btc).  thus, now they can easily pump though and put higher sells so all us "regular" ppl will buy at inflated prices.  if you have some low or get in before the dump, good for you - otherwise be carefulllll.  i'm sure we'll see a bunch of ninja scam coin releases when sept-early dec rolls around.  you will see.

This is very true. Also people have lost interest in buying new scamcoins. Since the whales and developers cannot generate enough interest in the scam coin of the day, they moved to old coins which they were able to pick up at bargain basement prices over the last year or so.

I think we are seeing the decline of altcoins. I'm getting more notices from exchanges about delisted coins and some are the older coins.

Let's face it, altcoins are not moving towards real world usage. In fact, we hear very little about it from coin communities and developers. Even btc is struggling.

I'm sure there will be a some winners in the future but which will survive to become viable currencies is the million dollar question. Right now its looking grim.

Trading has become a joke and a good way to lose money for the less informed.

could be also self orchestrated buy/sell activity in order to draw individuals in to milk them dry later (sorry just joking) its the nature of this whole beast

Whales rule any coin pump. Little fish can swim with them but have to be careful not to get swallowed.

I agree, funny all this... also saying this because addiction can be devastating.. it is going to be long time before CC will take on real public sphere.. I saw addiction (to gambling) devastating entire families.. so writing this on purpose

ok..! yielding forum to others

Good conversation. No need to yield. Your posts are not at all inflammatory. I agree with you 100%.

Trading altcoins today is gambling and contains a huge amount of risk. There was a time you could buy any coin and resell it a day later for profit. But then there were only 50 or so altcoins.

I don't trade much anymore.  I don't mind holding established coins like Vert and a couple others but I stay away from one-pump-wonders.

will mintcoin go to 10 satoshi or not?   Huh Undecided

Mint is obviously gaining traction from the action we are witnessing this year. I would not count on sub 10 sat prices anytime soon. Looks like its year of the Mintcoin.

Vert does not pump often but when it does; its EPIC.

How old is Vert? Year and half or so. Good, solid coin. No drama. No scam.

Sure glad I had a bag full.  Wink

I used his free VPN service for a bit. Got a nasty letter from the RIAA though. LOL.

Whats RIAA?

Did you get your VPN taken away or something? Its a shame that BPB went away, I was going to ask about his vpn service he had cause mines about to be up.

Bob shut down the vpn. I think it was something he was interested in and wanted to experiment with.

Buggers were downloading music and movies and got him into trouble I think. Nice fellow with a big heart for sure.
451  Other / Off-topic / Re: Creepy way of dying on: June 09, 2015, 12:05:58 AM
Dying is never pretty.

Lung cancer is nasty. The lungs fill with cancerous fluids till you can't breath anymore. A very very slow suffocation/drowning. Not so creepy or exotic as dying by snakebite but just as horrifying if you have to witness it.

454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone else selling their bags yet? on: May 28, 2015, 05:03:57 PM
Something has to survive the altcoin holocaust. Looks like the "oldies but goodies" are hanging in there.

There really isn't any profit to be made at this time. A lot of these coins were bought when bitcoin was 3 times the price so its still a losing proposition in the short term. A resurgence in btc price could/would breath life back into several altcoins.

Too many coins "here today and gone tomorrow" (with peoples' money). Mint is here forever and it looks like people are taking notice.

I admire your work and dedication, keep it up and thank you!

Ditto!

Without you Mintcoin would have languished and faded away like so many others. Dedication and integrity are rare in the altcoin scene.

all u.s. government, judges, politicians and other officials can be shot on site as the traitors they are.  It would probably be best to coordinate the effort and exterminate them as much as possible on a particular day.  Most likely will have to kill off a number of retarded citizens as well.  Whatever is nessary to protect the constitution should be done.

I heard John Hinckley, Jr. was up for parole. Now we got him.

I can not fathom how someone can be as delusional, sociopathic, manipulative, and still have the ability to walk with so many people being taken to the cleaners over and over again. You can not make this up, and it just keeps coming ! I am dumbfounded and amazed that there is literally no breaks on this train.

I thought it was funny when the hashpeople ate up his bs in December. Now, its pure incredulity. This whole scam saga should have wrapped up months ago but somebody insists on throwing money away.
