441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GOOGLE BANS BITCOIN MINING APPS.ON PLAY STORE on: October 07, 2018, 07:10:07 AM
Googl has always not been friendly of cryptocurrencies in general, latest update is this: Google has placed a ban on mining apps hosted on google play store https://news.bitcoin.com/google-bans-cryptocurrency-mining-apps-from-play-store/?utm_source=Google%20Bans%20Cryptocurrency%20Mining&utm_medium=telegram&utm_campaign=Telegram%20Channel

Most of the apps removed are very scammish and users gave quite a lot of complain to the Playstore support, which I feel it's a good thing they've been removed rather than been left on the app deceiving users.
442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi. What did he found to create something like bitcoin? on: October 06, 2018, 03:47:00 PM
I have been reading a lot of documentaries in the internet (maybe a little bit of too much) Grin

So the question is why?
For someone to create something he must have a will to do it. He must have found something which is wrong with the currency that we are using now specially USD.

It is not written in his whitepaper.
So what could it be?

Suddenly after a successful programming and all the editing he have done which could be seen in this forum he vanished.
Is there a threat to his life?

Roth - when you google it one word or name suddenly pops out.

The Rothschild family is a wealthy Jewish family descending from Mayer Amschel Rothschild (1744–1812), a court factor to the German Landgraves of Hesse-Kassel in the Free City of Frankfurt, Holy Roman Empire, who established his banking business in the 1760s.

500 trillion worth. This goes on to their family from centuries ago until now.
Could they be a reason behind the sudden disappearance of Satoshi?
He is creating a currency where no one controls it. He became a threat. It could be a possibility.

Am I just full of imagination or it could be a possibility?
Please let me hear your opinions.

I want to believe he left or made himself invincible as he doesn't want to face the global authorities threatening him to take down the technology. Another reason is because the technology is self sufficient, reason he took his time to get everything done.

444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Congress Requests SEC Clarify Crypto Security Laws to Support Innovation on: September 29, 2018, 09:46:45 PM
The United States Congress has sent a letter to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requesting that the agency clarify crypto security guidelines, to support innovation and to lessen the increasingly tense mood in the crypto space caused by widespread crackdowns led by the SEC.

Congress says they believe crypto is important for many sectors of the United States economy, and that the SEC’s view that all cryptos are securities, besides Bitcoin and Ethereum, is leading to an exodus of crypto and blockchain companies and talent from the United States. Congress is concerned that the United States will fall behind in the crypto and financial technology sectors due to the SEC’s behavior, explicitly stating that the SEC is inhibiting innovation by using law enforcement instead of making the rules better and easier to understand. Congress explicitly demands the SEC clarify guidelines by making them more articulate and improving them.

Currently, the SEC’s definition of a security cryptocurrency is any crypto which is purchased by investors from a centralized organization with the expectations of profits from their investments. Congress believes this classification is too broad since it basically includes all cryptos besides perhaps Bitcoin and Ethereum as security within that definition. Congress is asking the SEC to expand on its definition of crypto securities and to reference the Securities Act and Howey Test in its response. Furthermore, Congress wants the SEC to create easy to understand educational materials, like FAQs and examples, so crypto users aren’t confused.

445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wall Street And Crypto: A Brief Overview on: September 24, 2018, 06:34:01 AM
institutions are waiting out the financial year.
those that bought at the wrong time are actually enjoying their positions. they can claim losses and write off some taxes(while still holding the assets).
and start the year fresh with their ETF's and be in a good position for a 2019 big rise in their shares and profits.
so they are just waiting out year end.

they have buddies in the SEC whos trying to delay and hold off the small guys from starting ETF's so that the big institutions can be the first movers and be the big names. so again waiting out year end

2019 will be the year of institutional subsidiary startups in the bitcoin ecosystem. . its just a waiting game now for them to get their eggs in a row

And many will still fall for it by selling off easily while the institutions bag all to sell off at high prices. The tactics and manipulation in Cryptoworld is just too much. Only the rich want to always be at the top.
446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why we should all use Bitcoin and no more credit cards. on: September 23, 2018, 01:04:12 PM
To be honest, I worked as a call center agent before in Amazon and this shopping website have so many tricks to manipulate their customers and we are taking a lot of complaints about unrecognized charges on their card, most of them are from a free subscriptions. At first, they advertised it for free but without your knowledge, your account will automatically be set for auto renewal. Once your free trial ended, any available card save on your account will be charged automatically for that free subscription. Yes, I agree with you that if we are using bitcoin or an altcoin as a payment, that automatic charge will never take place because we always have full control with our funds and no one will be  able to take out those funds unless they have the private key.

Those exclusive charges that members aren't aware of is killing the credit/debit card system and to give this a lasting solution is the core reason why the global world needs to enbrace Bitcoin and/or cryptocurrency as a better option. Like you rightly said, users are in charge of their funds and would only send what is actually needed to pay for goods and services.
447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CHINA, RUSSIA, USA IN RACE TO USE BLOCKCHAIN FOR MILITARY OPERATIONS on: September 23, 2018, 07:12:41 AM
I feel they are just been unreasonable stubborn about it but on the long run, they would have a second thought and have no other choice than to embrace it fully. Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency as a whole is passing through refining processes and the result afterwards will be mind blowing.
448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / CHINA, RUSSIA, USA IN RACE TO USE BLOCKCHAIN FOR MILITARY OPERATIONS on: September 23, 2018, 06:17:31 AM
Militaries across the world are always looking for cutting-edge technologies to get a leg up on the competition. Blockchain is certainly not escaping scrutiny.

Officials inside of defense agencies are particularly interested the technology’s distributed consensus and anonymity capabilities.

NATO has been looking into blockchain’s use cases in regards to military logistics and procurement, and are also studying how it could mesh together with other cutting-edge concepts like the IoT.

So far, the United States, Russia, and China seem to express the most interest in researching how blockchain can be used for purposes related to the military, general national defense, and for cyber-related endeavors.

A CHANGING MILITARY LANDSCAPE
In the United States, entities related to the military have been looking into blockchain for a while. The 2018 National Defense Authorization Act, Section 1646 calls for the assessment of blockchain for military employment purposes.

Recently, the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command said they were looking into blockchain to help keep tabs on aviation parts, which could help lower the costs of operating and maintaining military aircraft.

Others speculate the technology could be rolled out by the Department of Defense (DoD) to manage nearly $100 billion dollars’ worth of inventory.

A Government Accountability Office report from 2015 specifically highlighted issues with the DoD’s systems for tracking and delivering supplies, something which blockchain has partially helped solve in other (non-military) areas, like the palm oil industry.

Besides the United States, Russian military officials have also been exploring use cases for blockchain.

This is getting very more interesting, no wonder ETF regulation is very important to the US Government.
449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Wall Street And Crypto: A Brief Overview on: September 21, 2018, 11:12:37 PM
Despite 2018’s market tumble, Wall Street institutions are still showing interest in offering crypto-related products, services, and solutions that are aimed at retail and corporate clients alike. As pointed out by the most recent issue from Diar, a fintech-focused publication that provides in-depth analysis of the cryptocurrency and blockchain markets, the foremost American banks have overtly shown interest in crypto assets. The Diar team wrote:

Excluding Wells Fargo, the 5 largest US banks have all indicated now their interest in servicing client requests for trading Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

No doubt Wall Street and other big players want to buy from investors at relatively cheap rate for the only to enjoy the full ride!

451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH is $174. It is the bottom of the chart. on: September 16, 2018, 11:02:49 AM
Ethereum is really a heart breaking coin. Hard a huge loss trading it and now I'm staying away from it till, if possible, it gets back on track. Even Vitalik isn't helping with his choice of words and comments.
452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump's Gives Gives Hope For ETF Future on: September 15, 2018, 07:56:33 AM
"Iceland has launched a new crypto trading platform known as Skiptimynt which offers a Bitcoin trading pairs for the first time since the launch of another exchange known as ISX in 2016. The Skiptimynt exchange will feature two trading pairs; the Icelandic Krona(ISK)/Bitcoin(BTC) and the Icelandic  Krona(ISK)/Aurora coin(AUR). Aurora coin is the country’s alternative to Bitcoin, created in 2014. At the time AUR was launched, it got the cryptocurrency community, the media and even politicians interested in the potential of a Bitcoin alternative. Due to very little adoption of AUR in Iceland, the coin has since been neglected. "

As we see, many countries want to have their own cryptocurrencies. But the universal and generally accepted must be bitcoin

Which buttres the point that Bitcoin isn't going anywhere as against those spreading FUD around on how Bitcoin will die and all sort. The cryptospace us gaining more attention each day and as it it SEC can't stop us at all.

455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrency so difficult to understand on: September 09, 2018, 01:15:25 PM
I engaged with young people and layman people in my communities on the quest of exposing them to cryptocurrency. During the period I discovered that they find It so difficult to understand the concepts, they are so much acquainted with fiat currency and traditional ways of making payment transactions.
I will be impress If I can get a valuable ways and methods in making them understand what cryptocurrency is all about and engage them actively.

It's not any way difficult yo understand as long as your mind is set to it. Just like every knowledge, it involves dedication and consistent self study to have a good grasp of it.
456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 4 Bitcoin Bull Markets: Big Lessons to Learn on: September 08, 2018, 07:17:38 PM

Wall Street’s so-called “experts” are creatures of habit. They behave in patterns that are as predictable as the tides.
When a market soars into bubble-land, they pour out of the woodwork to cheer the “powerful fundamental forces” that are driving prices higher

458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook reverses ban on cryptocurrency ads on: August 27, 2018, 12:16:00 AM
This is great as it tends to bring back more crypto related adverts on Facebook. Though I feel Mark is really upto something up his sleeves. I sense Facebook cryptocurrency coming in board soon.
