441  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Development & Technical Discussion on: July 13, 2019, 04:40:11 AM

TL;DR:

#1 If you're struck by lightning 21 or 22 times I will start to worry.
#2 Isn't really up to devs lol. It's up to the general public. We're well on our way.
#3 Proof or it didn't happen. Also, "China" is not a singular entity.
#4 LOL. Weak Googlefu. Mining never stops although minting new bitcoins will end far later than 2045. Don't worry about it. You'll be long dead.
#5 Lighting.
#6 Not a dev issue.

You seem very salty about BTC. Which shitcoin will save us from this evil coin?

I appreciate both of your comments

1. so you both said the same thing for (which I already said I don`t care if the possibility is low, it is a possibility) Yes, there is ways around it, how do game devs make it some people can only have one user name?, easy if address is in use, do not allow duplicate address creation. How do they do it with emails? same thing.

It is ridiculous you can generate someones address, even if it is a .000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% chance.

2. I mean it is pretty damn complicated for the average potato to obtain bitcoins, why not just a fiat exchange built into the wallet? (since you all think bitcoin is suppose to be a store of fiat scam)
I mean a tutorial could of been built into the wallet already on what everything does. The hud could be upgraded, the wallet is pretty buggy and glitches out a lot. There could be a built in exchange (fuck the regulators) etc etc. I can see a lot of improvements to be made in this field.

3. https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/mining/china/ this was months ago, What stops a rich dood to obtain 51% of the hashing power, nothing. They can halt all transactions and ruin the network, sure they might lose fiat money, but perhaps they don`t care about fiat money and the bitcoin network. (ever seen a jihad bomber?)

4. 2140 sorry, still I suggest you look into this simulation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7TLFyK_3Pk I don`t care so much about today, I been pro in over 3 major video games top 1 on the ladder, What matters is the end game on how to win, everything else is irrelevant if you get the "victory" on your screen, I am looking out for the future of our kind, I want my species to prevail.

5. Lighting is a good start, but why not apply lighting into the bitcoin wallet itself?

"That's your opinion and has nothing to do with bitcoin development. "
6. Not my opinion as you stated in the above post, that is a ERIK FIN`s and I can see what he is talking about.

I am not salty about bitcoin, I actually respect bitcoin much more than the traditional system. I actually would give up my life for satoshi to come back and help make a better system as I am not a coder, just a pro gamer/farmer/roofer/bricklayer, I would let the guy remote view my computer and take the fall for the guy and spend my entire life in jail if he unen$laved my kind. I am however salty about giving up my fruit, my limited time, my blood, sweat and tears for unlimited b.s. backed by nothing government $lavery $cam money. I don`t think bitcoin is evil, I don`t even think evil exist.

Well I have a theory of a system based on time/duration. Where everyone creates the supply and everyone votes and every address is a side chain to keep the networking running hella fast (real scalability). So universal basic income built into it and a direct democracy to support it as the job. Unlimited jobs created if the people voted rather voting people to vote for them. One that is not prone to duplicate address creation. One that does what was intended in the first sentence of the bitcoin white paper. A coin where everyone has equal hashing power and 51% attacks are out of the question only unless 51% of the people want it. In which case it would not be a attack, but a change decided by the majority of the users, not the majority of the hashing power.

Now there is a way to do all this within bitcoin, but it would take some serious brains to make it work. I know how to do it (in theory). I know how to keep all the miners happy and everyone happy and apply these changes if I had the power, but satoshi is the only one that could convince the majority of the miners to mine on the new chain to keep the network secure. Unfortunate he told everyone to mine the longest chain, I mean I can see why, to keep his wallets safe. I guess it will have to be done by a altcoin. R.I.P his starter wallets. He or she or them deserves them.
442  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Development & Technical Discussion on: July 13, 2019, 12:47:06 AM
Hey when can we see some Development on some of the major bitcoin problems?

1. Duplicate address creation
(I don`t care if it is very unlikely it needs to be impossible)

2. Mass Adoption
(I asked 50 people on the street today if they know bitcoin, 5 did, 0 could explain it)

3. 85% hashing power in One Country
(CHINA CENTRALIZED ALERT)

4. No mining for people born after 2045
($lavery premine it looks like to people born later than us)

5. Huge transaction fees
(not scalable into real world when the cup of coffee you buy cost more than the coffee in tx)
You know people are just going to use clone chains, and charge 1/10th the fee and give a 1-1 ratio of bitcoin and just avoid the tax all together, then probably just keep their bitcoin as bitcoin(clone) since it is cheaper to buy stuff with it and more people will end up using it to avoid the high tax fee.

^also in government fiat the taxes go to support garbage, roads, schools, military, medical etc, not just all the tax goes to miners(bankers)... well it kinds of does in a way sadly.

6. For the ppl working on the above to stop being cultish
(he is right that teen ERIK FIN, sad a teen has to tell you)

446  Other / Serious discussion / Re: I would like to understand how Bitcoin price move on: July 12, 2019, 11:06:45 AM
That is pretty much it, supply and demand.

Price will go down, when people sell
Price will go up, when people buy

Merchants who accept bitcoin will normally sell right away to get the fiat price of there material or product cost back, so anytime bitcoin is used to buy goods and services it is normally sold instantly for fiat.

News can have a factor in these, or Tech developments.
Big pump is caused by lots of people buying
Big crash is caused by lots of people selling

You should never worry about the fiat price though, 1 bitcoin will always = 1 bitcoin even if 1 bitcoin = $0 usd or $10,000 usd.

If you read the first sentence of the whitepaper, bitcoin was never meant to be traded for fiat money like euro or usd for they are financial institutions.

One thing is for certain the scarcity of bitcoin after 2045 will only increase, but there will be something better than bitcoin by then, I hope. Even tho I am like one of the biggest bitcoin lovers in the game.

There is one constant if you look at the charts, Around Christmas price tends to dip a little after the new year for a month or two, then summer comes and price starts to go up, every year.
447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anthony Pompliano and Peter Schiff to Debate over Bitcoin and Gold on: July 12, 2019, 10:37:42 AM
oh no the pump guy to debate him? I had to block that guy on twitter, shit is annoying always talking about the price of fiat. I think Pompliano is a fiat lover.

Let me debate him.

1) They confiscated all the gold before, you should know Peter Schiff you are a gold bug.  Executive Order 6102 (they can`t take your password from your brain, yet)
2) Gold cannot be transported across the world in milliseconds, and when we become a multi planetary species, across space in milliseconds.
3) We need the Gold for electronics not a currency, for if we use it as a money supply we will check mate ourselves onto this planet, it is needed for the computers and spaceships to expand our race further into space.
4) Bitcoin is more divisible, if gold were to replace fiat, we would not even be able to see how much gold we trade for 1 apple, it would be impossible to measure.
5) We know the supply of bitcoin, what happens if we find a planet full of gold?
6) We are literally destroying mountains for a little bit of gold, We are pouring chemicals (Mercury) in the mountains just to break down the gold. I literally went to B.C/Yukon last year it is sick what they are doing to the land.

One pro for gold is, it is written in the Constitution that all debts must be paid back in gold, but the founding fathers had no clue WTF computers were at the time, let alone blockchain, we live in a new age, The Digital Age.

Anyways really it should be a debate about Gold and Bitcoin both being better than FIAT and why goverment/private banking family money is a $cam and $lavery.

Another debate I would school both these guys in, is TIME and DURATION being better than all of this shit bitcoin, fiat and gold. FOR WE ALL WORK FOR IT ALREADY and it is the only way to have fair distribution in a currency.
448  Other / Meta / Re: How can i get Merit? on: July 12, 2019, 10:22:20 AM
I`ll give you another merit if you move this post to meta discussion because that is where it belongs. (bottom left of page)

You earn merit based of saying something people like pretty much, or doing something people like, creating something people like(like a post or code).
I would not worry about merit to much, it is like counting the pats on your back, stroking your e-ego. Most peoples merits are forgery's anyways.
449  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is preparation for war a means to achieve peace? on: July 12, 2019, 09:06:37 AM
No, preparation for peace is a means to achieve peace.

war
a state of armed conflict between different nations or states or different groups within a nation or state.

peace
a state or period in which there is no war or a war has ended.

I want you to take a look into the psychology of gorillas, for you will see, that threatening and fear is not the answer. No matter how many times the silver back gorilla beats the others, they will only get more and more sneaker to sleep with "his wives".

Negative reinforcement does not work, it just builds up the anger until the animal snaps. Look at dogs, sure they might seem tamed if you teach them with negative reinforcement (punishment) but one day that dog will bite you, for the dogs that are treated with positive reinforcement never trigger agasint their owner, they have respect, not fear, which turns into anger and rebellion.

I am not a fan of Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies, which are not money, and whose value is highly volatile and based on thin air. Unregulated Crypto Assets can facilitate unlawful behavior, including drug trade and other illegal activity....

....Similarly, Facebook Libra’s “virtual currency” will have little standing or dependability. If Facebook and other companies want to become a bank, they must seek a new Banking Charter and become subject to all Banking Regulations, just like other Banks, both National...

...and International. We have only one real currency in the USA, and it is stronger than ever, both dependable and reliable. It is by far the most dominant currency anywhere in the World, and it will always stay that way. It is called the United States Dollar!

Anyways, I rather have die than use any coin on these list.

for all of them are for fucking slavery.

Make 1 coin, everyone gains at the same rate... ok, now we have a non shit currency and anyone is free to enterprise more. The network fees go to public votes, everyone who has one address can vote on the network. What else do you need? Instead you rather be divided and conquered by these shame of a men we call our leaders. People only in it for themsevles. "how can I get more?" you won`t get anything I promise you.

Surely you don't think you're the only one, just check this forum and see P2P trades going on every day. See payments being sent and things being bought every day between people. See on social media people posting addresses and donations and transactions. Sure, some of us still sell btc to the bank through someone else or an exchange, what's wrong with that?

But you are right, people should remember that btc survival is because of us, not because of financial institutions!

Yah I think .2% of the people get it though and 1% of the people understand bitcoin so the odds are pretty bad for us atm, just sick of loading up twitter and seeing stuff like this every damn day.

I think it is cool, but I think some are no longer punks.

A punk to me is someone who does not conform to the norm and is kind of anti establishment. I think greed has turned some of these punks into posers. Clearly one of them is a real punk still (whoever holds all of those early wallets has not conformed to the norm).

Although if I was satoshi I would crash the market in a second just to prove a point to all the fiat lovers and then drink all the sweat tears on twitter, and buy back in and get double the fiat and bitcoin for free then use the fiat as my toilet paper.

For real tho, All of these men deserve unlimited money for their contribution to our species. If any of them ever created my system(based of a address being a child chain and each chain gaining duration from birthdate at a fixed rate, so we have trinkle up economics, with a tax fee on the network to support not miners but public projects like space exploration and garbage etc etc) and got it to work with some time banks. I would give them 50% of my time for the rest of my life, If they really wanted since they un-enslaved my kind, I would give them 100% of my time for now my brothers kids will not be slaves their entire life, like I have been. I hope these people in the op ate some of my cherries and peaches and not the bankers.

Anyways, Kudos to all of you gentlemen. I will see you on the other side. You are welcome into my universe, just know there is no such thing as privacy in the absence of duration Wink You will know everything instantly or nothing at all by the end of it. Ignorance is not bliss it is oblivion, total awareness is perfect happiness.

These guys have some interesting stuff going on here https://cryptotradernews.com/cryptocurrency/bitcoin-vs-usd-for-storing-value-purposes/

Today, I would personally pick USD as it can be used world wide and for a variety of purposes. However, if BTC were to stop being JUST a speculative asset I would contemplate making the switch. I like being in control of my cash without having to depend on some greedy bank!

Thoughts?

USD = Unlimited Slavery
BITCOIN = If USD is gone = Limited Slavery (at some point they will have to work to get the btc back)

As of now, since fiat can buy bitcoin, it really is useless.

Now, Time *fairly distributed via duration to all users* = Real money and not slavery.
