442  Economy / Gambling / Re: "Unfold" button in poker. Would that work? on: November 11, 2015, 11:54:40 AM
that would be a totally new game , it may applied actually in the future
most players were complaining when Pokerstars launched their spin&goes , they were complaining about having a long term profit in them and also the way that it attracts recreational players and pushing them away from regular tables , after a year we can see that there are plenty of players who only play spin&goes and are making a good profit also regular games are still going on and pokerstars still #1
my point is when a new game appears you can see a lot of complaints cause people are not familiar with it

every poker game is beatable and every poker game has its own strategy , this unfold button will change the strategy but that doesn't mean that it's not good or not beatable
this unfold button may be a good bluff in low boards , also people will tend to fold their small pairs pre flop and then involve if they hit  Grin

Pokerstars have made very game just about beatable for sure yep, generally though they extract maximum rake profit and make games all tight and boring, it probably would be cool to see a popular bitcoin version of this game.
443  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Women are "either bisexual or gay but NEVER straight" on: November 11, 2015, 11:48:58 AM

Its more socially acceptable if women have sexual inclination towards other women.  For men its still very risky, you could get bullied, beat up, socially ostracized.

If i was to look at both men and women objectively with no bias though the female form does seem to be more sexy so maybe thats why.  Saying that men can copy most of these sexy traits.

Interesting times ahead me thinks.
444  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Jews and Israel on: November 11, 2015, 11:44:25 AM

I have found quite a few people do blame jews saying that they control the world/they are the rich elites etc.  I argue that the problem isn't because they are jewish its just they've been smarter than others.
445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin v. Bitcoin on: November 11, 2015, 11:41:32 AM
No harm holding some of each really. I have 60 /40 split

Agree im not current holding 60/40 but i have done when LTC was higher price. I will pick up some more LTC if we go lower and wait for a pump.
446  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: November 11, 2015, 11:40:15 AM
Share with us what's your main reason for buying bitcoins?

Because the idea is so strong and works.  This means the price will go up. So people get it and some people dont. Other people have heard about bitcoin but haven't yet thought much about it.
447  Economy / Gambling / Re: "Unfold" button in poker. Would that work? on: November 11, 2015, 11:34:31 AM
This would not work!!! And it`s nor fair to even think about that button. On very simple example:
I have two king`s and I rise 2000 chip`s.
You have 2 and 7 you fold.
.... let`s not look other player`s. So on flop there is next 3 card`s.  2, 2, 7..... So now u are stronger and now your would pay much more then 2000 chip`s. It`s funny when I even think about it. I regreted many times cause I didn`t pay much less then this amount in example but it`s poker. This unfold button is not fair then, why would anyone rise after that?  This is not good idea at all!

Thats why you'd have to pay to buy back into the pot.

If you really want some smart poker dudes to give this some thoughts could ask over at 2+2.  But hopefully some site in bitcoin land could test this game.
448  Economy / Gambling / Re: "Unfold" button in poker. Would that work? on: November 10, 2015, 06:24:52 PM
This could be a good or a bad idea .It would be a bad idea if the opposite person has good cards he can lose out on winnings and vica versa.Other way round it can give a nice chance for the unlucky one to save some cash. There should be a unfold button provided he has to pay some mbtc to use that service.

Best thing to do is give it a test run. Seems to me like you'd create a whole new game strategy but thats no worries. When they made zoom/rush poker the game play changed - overall the game plays tighter and aggressive.

With this unfold game it seems you'd get really strange scenarios in each hand.  Should imagine starting hands would be tight since people dont actually have to play to be involved.  Another interesting thing is that people have to focus on each hand entirely.
449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 10, 2015, 04:56:21 PM
Chesea have star players and a star coach and look at where they are right now  Cool On the other end are Leicester with no star players and no star coach  Cool

Leicester have a few decent players and caught a good bit of form at the right time, but yeah they will fade over time and probably be out the prem and back up again.  Thats how it goes.
450  Economy / Gambling / Re: "Unfold" button in poker. Would that work? on: November 10, 2015, 04:52:43 PM

If you play poker often, you've probably heard someone joking 'how do I unfold?' or 'where's the unfold button?' after the flop.

What if there actually was one?

Would it be an interesting idea to create variation of i.e. standard no-limit Hold'em including 1 extra option: the 'Unfold button'?.
For example, it would only be active after the flop (but not after the turn or the river), there would be say 5 seconds pause after the flop to give time to 'folded' players to make decision whether they want to go back in the game or not.

To use that option, player would have to throw in 2x current pot on the table (but not as 'raise'), possibly there could also be additional fee payable directly to the house (say 0.2 of the current pot, non-refundable).

Would that work at all? Would it make the game more interesting, or on the contrary - too complex and unplayable?

Thoughts?

Disclaimer: The 'unfold button' implementation idea is an intellectual property of pawel7777, if you planning to use it on your poker site, the author would like to get paid Wink

Very interesting idea actually ive never heard this before and been around poker for years.  Players would have to buy back in after folding but how do you judge how much they have to pay to buy back in.  It would have to be judged by the people who raised the pot in order to fold them out - or if there is no raiser they'd have to pay something like BB x2.

It makes for a very interesting game maybe as people could unfold and bluff very often.  I actually really like it OP great idea, it would need to be a separate game entirely, it would not fit into normal games like fold and show did for example.

I think this needs to be talked about more.

452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for a living or a living for Gambling? on: November 09, 2015, 10:55:53 AM
Hi Everyone..!!!

Why are you gambling,  you do it for gambling a living or a living for gambling?
Please share your opinion.
Thanks in advance.

When i used to play poker online professionally it was always gambling for a living which isnt as much fun unless you are extremely successful.  Always suggest you just gamble mostly for fun with small stakes, if bigger things comes your way then judge that at the time what to do.
453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: November 09, 2015, 10:53:21 AM
It maybe but depends on the way you do! Smiley
You need a profitable source and a method to gamble which suits you.

Mine is sports-betting. ;P

What do you mean by that? I think all gambling is just the same, and I dont think there is profitable source because it is depends on yourself when you are gambling and method? Is there any method on gambling? All game is just the same on how you doing it

People do well on sports betting and can make a living.  There is a guy who made the WSOP final table this year who was originally a poker professional but was making more from sports betting so he quit poker full time for that.
454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 09, 2015, 10:50:56 AM
WTF Liverpool you ruined my night  Shocked what a poor performance on home ground.
Liverpool was just out of luck,
lfc controlled the game last night, with 63% ball possession
LFC made a lot of opportunities, but the less fortunate

win if choose BTTS

Liverpool also cost me, didn't see that coming probably just have to assume its down to variance i watched the game and liverpool probably deserved the win.
455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 08, 2015, 12:14:50 PM
Liverpool is ready win its match against Crystal Palace now it is playing more consistent and improved game so that is the reason to place my money on ML @1.65

I agree with you. Liverpool is in great form with no lose in the last 5 matches. They also need a victory now to stay in the top of the rankings. On the other hand Arsenal is on a winning wave so it is high expected to smash Totenham.

Tottenham are not playing bad either atm i think it will be a close game but overall arsenal have always been the slightly better side in recent years.
456  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can we organize a poker tournament? on: November 08, 2015, 12:13:04 PM
I think there is people here that actively play poker for sure. I wonder is it possible to organize one. It would be nice if we can organize some tournament with some buy in like 0.0005 btc or less, maybe more ( depends how serious playes would like to play). I don`t know did u ever think about it, I search for similar thead but i couldn`t find. For sure that can be interesting, to test skills between us and to see who is the best poker player here.

Need to find a site which offers private tournaments, funny enough pokerstars offers password protected games, also cash games. ARGH! when willl they just have bitcoin games!

I wouldn't trust Seals now that the multi accounting scam is erupting. Pokerstars on the other hand have been going for years. There's a few people on here wanting to swap Pokerstars for BTC.

I could maybe help with some of that, it just sucks to support pokerstars like that when they aren't supporting bitcoin.  They are the best though Sad
457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 08, 2015, 10:02:07 AM
Today im going with:

Aston Villa vs Manchester City -  Manchester City
Arsenal vs Tottenham  - Arsenal
Liverpool vs Crystal Palace - Liverpool win

Pretty easy day to predict.
458  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betting in Sports on: November 08, 2015, 09:59:38 AM
Sports betting for me.. NBA,PBA, tennis and UFC. Dice and casino games are complicated and confusing to me.

Dice may look confusing at first but its one of the most simple gambling games, think whats why its been #1 in bitcoin so far.  Some casino games just take an hour to learn also like blackjack.
459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 08, 2015, 09:57:55 AM
let play 4 matches from tomorrow

Bournemouth - Newcastle win Newcastle
Manchester Utd - West Brom    win MNU
Sunderland - Southampton win Southampton
Stoke City - Chelsea win Chelsea

let see if i win all four

Brave man to pick chelsea away right now although they are playing stoke who have been very poor and bought badly this year.  Shaqiri looks a very bad buy and already past his best.

haha looks like i was right about picking chelsea being a bad idea, anyone else have stoke as a bet?
