441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does possessing information play an important role in betting ? on: March 09, 2024, 02:05:29 PM
There is no perfection in gambling,no matter the strategy you may use in gambling, all may turn you down. Even prediction or strategy used by experts still disapoint them. The only strategy I see is the strategy of using lesser odd in gambling a huge amount. Apart from that I see no other option.
This has been the reason I do not really like sport gambling anymore unlike before, but I still do go for the ones that are very common but not very often. You will make analyses to look for the correct team to win and yet many of the matches will be the opposite of what you took. I prefer casino games now which will cause me no stress.
442  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have Bitcoin, looking for USDT on Tron on: March 09, 2024, 01:59:49 PM
Do you want someone that can do it for free? Or you will add interest to it? If not more than $500, I can do that at 5% interests. But I am open to negotiation if you do not like the offer or you want to add to it.

444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Simple mistake that makes you lose everything on: March 08, 2024, 09:03:19 AM
Personally the only mistake I make is to continue playing when all things tell me to stop, losing a lot is the best indicator that you should stop.
I also made such mistake in the past. If a gambler is losing, the gambler needs to stop because the way he will think and gamble at that time will be different and it would be in a way he will waste more money on gambling and later regret it after losing all his money. Another mistake that is common to me is when I win enough already but still tempted to continue playing and end the day with massive losses.
445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you avoid some games because of racism? on: March 08, 2024, 08:58:42 AM
This happened a lot of times in boxing and I lost because of the obvious reason being rigged because of racism. Maybe this is the new normal nowadays in sports but yeah hard to predict when will happen so we really are left being disappointed with results though we just accept and move on.
I only go for big boxing game like the Anthony Joshua versus Francis Ngannou that we are expecting to come. These kind of boxing matches can not be manipulated. I can say I hardly bet more than 3 boxing games in a year. I prefer football and I do not think there is racism in big leagues. Underdog leagues is where that can happen and I can not go for it. To what I have known, I do not see racism in the matches that I go for.
446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Even as a sport fan be careful! on: March 07, 2024, 08:32:31 PM
Well these kinds of things happen on a steady and this happens as a result of the fans not being cautious that they are actually not at home and the need for them to know this is vital because at every moment something might pop up football is really crazy and it makes football fans do all sort of things just because of the love they have for the game. And moreover football is only a sport and the people watching or supporting the club are of different personalities so I would like to agree that staying off from arguments is best because you never can tell the person you are arguing with.
Is it more than ball? Some people are just too wicked. You stabbed someone which can lead to death all because of football. Those stabbers need to be arrested. But to be arguing in another country which is not yours, that is not good because you are not in your country. Even if you are in your country, some people do argue about football, but it should be the people that they know like friends. Was argument the cause of the stabbing?
447  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto news sources on: March 07, 2024, 06:31:27 PM
I use Cointelgraph, Coindesk Coingecko and Coinmarketcap.

I do not follow the crypto news on X but I do get some people tweeting about crypto news. On Twitter, you can follow some crypto well known people and sites.
448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making decisions while betting on: March 07, 2024, 11:34:41 AM
Aside from what the majority said about managing your betting size, having a betting tracker could help suppress those emotions. Instead of making sudden decisions through your emotions, you'll be more aware of your losses and make better decisions once you start tracking your betting activities. Another solution that helped me was remembering one of my many mistakes because I tend to repeat unnecessary mistakes that could have been avoided if I only paid more attention to the bets i'm placing.
You are remembering the past mistake and use it to correct your present for you not to make the same mistake again, that is good. Some gamblers will make mistake but they will not correct it. Some gamblers will make mistake and think of correcting it but their emotion will not let them be able to correct the mistake. But if you correct yours, that is good. I do not agree with the first thing that you said, that someone should have a tracker. I do not have a tracker but I can easily know the amount of money that I lose in gambling. What that is best is to have a gambling budget which others have said.

You can also check the topics created by people that are getting merit and also be checking what they are posting. Continue to learn from them and you will understand what are necessary to earn merit. Be reading from the good posters than posting for now. To earn merit on this forum is not hard at all, but many people just do not understand it until they understand what they do not know that is causing the lack of merit. Post useful information, read people's post and quote them like you are having a conversation with someone.
450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making decisions while betting on: March 06, 2024, 07:44:24 PM
Your experience will help you out to control your emotions. It is important that when you gamble, you still have the control to your emotion because if not, worse things will come to you as you gamble.

You'll never know how much you'll be able to bet and lose when you're not on your right mind and you're out of control of your emotion. With that, too many gamblers fall to their own emotions because it seems unreasonable for them to control it when they can't think correctly.
Experience will not help some people but the result is gambling addiction. But for a wise person that has lost before, he should be able to know when to gamble and when not to gamble, also when to stop gambling he supposed to know that. Not able to control oneself while gambling will only make the person to gamble in a way he will always be losing all his money to gambling. You are not wrong that what will happen to such person will be worse.
451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the most you have ever won gambling? What is the most you have ever lost on: March 06, 2024, 01:00:54 PM
I think most of us here have lost so much in gambling all throughout the years that they are playing. And no amount of winnings will ever recoup that lost, unless you win the lottery.
You will be a good gambler. Or let me say you would have become a good gambler by now. Most of us are not making profit but losing to gambling sites and that is just what it is. People that know this know that they should avoid using huge amount of money to gamble and not to depend on gambling as a means of daily/weekly or monthly income. Since I have been gambling, I lose than win.
452  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy Buy Buy or Sell Sell Sell? on: March 06, 2024, 09:06:03 AM
This is the problem people have. They will not not want to buy when the price is low but later want to buy when the price is high. The safest coin to buy right now is bitcoin. If you buy it, it is better not to be checking your wallet balance in dollars. Just leave the coin and be expecting bitcoin to get to $100000. Because the price is falling, some people will panic and sell just like what happened yesterday. Do not do that. Do not sell if you buy even now.

455  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dont chase your loss on: March 05, 2024, 08:05:31 PM
when is the time that it's necessary to gamble?
however, it's been the usual advice not to try chasing the loss. the more money will be lost in doing so. the martingale strategy is basically chasing the first loss and then you who applied the strategy kept doubling to get back that loss.
Martingale strategy is good but some gamblers use to abuse it and making the wrong calculation to the amount of money they can afford to lose, leading to them using more money to gamble and if the strategy failed, it would be a big money loss.

i have not seen a single user who tried chasing their loss and got it back successfully, i hope to see one actually.
I have chased loss before and later won but it is not common. But chasing loss is bad because if I will count the number of times I chased loss to be 10, I won only ones and the rest got all the money in my account lost to gambling. Chasing loss is not good.
456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I don´t have acces to my bitcoin wallet on: March 05, 2024, 06:50:01 PM
Also, how did you generate your private key? It is significant to know, because perhaps, if the address is P2PKH, it could be uncompressed.
I do not think that is what that happened but you are not wrong. Let me say I have a private key which starts with 5, that is not compressed. It is not possible to become compressed unless I use a tool for it. People will prefer to just write the private key down in the format they generated it. If he follow what LoyceV put up there, he will see his bitcoin.
457  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dont chase your loss on: March 05, 2024, 06:42:25 PM
They don't intend to gamble for fun, and neither would they like to gamble in vain without actually actualizing some profits before the end of their gambling day.
That is the problem many people have. Are they stupid? They see a betting company increasing in workers and having more money. Do they not know that is possible because most gamblers are losing and the gambling companies are making money? If a gambler do not want to gamble for fun, he should not gamble. If he is looking for money, he should get a job.
458  Other / Off-topic / Re: Need advice regarding safe internet surfing. on: March 05, 2024, 06:21:14 PM
I installed Proton VPN with the feature NetShield + KillSwitch + SecureCore (I don't use antivirus).

Is this protection enough so that the provider does not see what pages I visit, so that he does not see that I use telegram and desktop Bitcoin wallets? (Electrum and Exodus).
Yes.

And is this protection enough for surfing TOR sites?
No.

For tor sites, you will need the .onion link and use tor browser for it. For wallets like Electrum and Bitcoin Core, use tor instead of VPN.

Tor is better for privacy because it is not centralized like VPN. VPN should be used for sites that do not allow tor.
459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I don´t have acces to my bitcoin wallet on: March 05, 2024, 05:40:37 PM
Apart from LoyceV's answer which will probably solve your issue, do you want to share with us the address type?
Is it P2PKH (starts with 1), is it P2SH (starts with 3) or is it P2WPKH (starts with bc1q)?
Also, how did you generate your private key? It is significant to know, because perhaps, if the address is P2PKH, it could be uncompressed.
This question is not necessary because LoyceV has already answered the question. If you do not add any thing to the front but you just paste the private key, that is bitcoin address that starts from 1 which was what the OP did. While LoyceV has also given him what to do for addresses that from 3 and bc1.
460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Decentralized vs Centralized Gambling....Which do you prefer? on: March 05, 2024, 05:15:44 PM
No guarantee that more people would do so. Of course if it is within this forum, there would be a larger number of people to choose decentralized gambling sites over the other option simply because we are 'aligned' with understanding in this technology.
We should not call it decentralized but web3. Web3 has been used several times to defraud people that connects to a fake websites. That will make us see more fake gambling sites that clone a legit one just to deceive some people to connect to their site so that they can wipe their victims money and steal it. I prefer centralized gambling sites. People on this forum prefer centralized gambling sites as long as it is reputable.
