I believe he got everything back I hope so, all the more reason to backup now to paper, and so should everyone else. Plus, as we've seen it isn't enough to have backups, you need to verify them each time too if possible - I know it's a pain in the arse but it saves grief down the road. Nobody takes backups seriously until it's too late and they're screwed. A newbie question - how do you back up to paper? Is the private key stored in plain text? Or is there any app to get it out of wallet.dat? I have a few digital backups but would not mind the paper as well |

I got one of those too. My first though is that it's a block mined by a pool still on RC3, so my RC4 MN missed out on the fee as the two are incompatible. indeed looks like the pools didn`t updated yet... Correct. Wallet of pool's didn`t updated yet. Payee is not in MN list(current). Who gets the payment in this case? Does it remain with the pool or goes to DRK RC4 celebration fund? ;-) |

Ridiculous based on what? DRK needs them to perform anonymizing functions. There also needs to be a "bunch, but not too many" of them. If you take away the incentives for running one, you likely end up with most of the owners being people that just want to snoop. If you leave rewards but take away the requirement, you get an unknown (but really, really large) amount of (likely) inferior nodes. It's because DRKs marketcap is inflated as hell. There are tons of anon solutions out there right now, and some superior to DRKs. If you think DRK is going to keep its current marketcap when other coins are advancing beyond DRK... Think again. First mover advantage doesn't necessarily last forever. Other superior coins? In terms of nicer logos? :-) Currently DRK has 20% of TOR infrastructure and you fail to see the benefit? |

I vote for Pseudocoin.org - pseudocash sounds cheap - as if someone was already faster with pseudocoin and we had to go for an alternative.
Bitcash or Litecash would sound lame as well - so pls go with Pseudocoin.
Anyway, we have to stick to one - bittrex has pseudocash and cryptsy has pseudocoin - that does not help the brand

I just lost the overview a bit here. I saw some post from Evan saying that he has a lot of ideas after RC4? Any details what is planned?
I mean when RC4 is working well with Darksend+, Darkcoin has got a lot of opportunities / ways to go. And its maybe (don't get me wrong I have no complete overview over anon coins and every anon coin says its the best bla bla ..) the first stable anon coin.
Another thing.. I found it quite funny (no offense, sorry for the dude!) that when the Mintpal thing happened yesterday/day before that the guy choosed Darkcoin to steal in the end. Could the community track them?

That's waaay too long to wait. Re-build your masternode. I've had two 'bad luck' masternodes that weren't getting paid properly, that I rebuilt from scratch, and now they are great performers.
