Story time  My nephew, who is around 15 years old, has gained knowledge about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies through exposure to discussions between his father (my brother) and me, as we frequently talk about bitcoin. Whenever he has free time from school or chores, we allow him to listen in on our conversations and ask any curious questions he may have. For instance, he often asks questions like, "Uncle, what is bitcoin?" or "Is it a type of currency? Can I have one?" We do our best to explain the concept to him, but sometimes he grasps it easily while other times he struggles to understand. What I do know is that this young boy is displaying a keen interest in the subject. Recently, he expressed his frustration about his teacher and classmates labeling bitcoin as a ponzi scheme or a scam each time he talks about it. I'm seeking a variety of advice that I can offer to my nephew in this situation. Although his father suggested that he should stop discussing bitcoin, I don't feel comfortable with that approach. What are your thoughts on this matter? As a person who knew bitcoin during times where scammers are everywhere, and people falls to their scheme, you should tell him to ignore those people why? just like the people who bash bitcoin before they will eventually jump in when its too late, instead of wasting his energy and effort to those people focus on increasing his knowledge and share it to people who have interest on it, although its natural for people to say its a scam getting mad will not bring him to the top, ignoring them and showing them the result is the best way for them to regret what they said, and they will eventually regret it. |

Constructive criticism is one way to learn few stuffs from others. Well its really hurt being corrected though you knew to yourself its correct but figuring out your wrong have a slight feeling of ache but if anyone learn to overcome that and accept it. Could help you grow as a user. We are in forum anyway a place where debate could happen whether what is the correct concept or solution to such dispute.
As a person like myself who knew little on a field or something there is no need for me to get mad, if they correct me and give me advice, and I am more willing to take shot as long as i learn from it, sad reality is some people don't want to hear comments, they take it personally and leave, they don't know that they are being corrected, take all the hit and learn will help a person in the future because they will also learn patience and controlling their emotions is also good to develop. |

Some people don't want to be teach by someone responding with hate when they were corrected by people who knows more about something, in return they learn nothing and stuck with little knowledge that they thought they know it all, Tips on how you will learn along they way, and be on track with crypto currency and also in real life scenario. - Be open to comments by others accept and learn from it
- Don't get mad or upset when they correct you when you make mistakes
- Always be hungry to learn
- Apply and test what they have told you
- Surround yourself with people who are not greedy with information
- Distance yourself with negative people, they will pull you down with them
- Share what you learn from others let it be a cycle of learning, to help others also, remember people never hesitate to help you to learn, you should also do the same.

This all started with the issue on the MEXC exchange and I had no choice than to look for help on the MEXC telegram group and someone did helped me out, and later she started texting me on telegram about crypto discussions and stuff.
She asked questions about which projects I am currently buying and if I know anything about crypto mining and these brought us good discussions for a while, later she claimed she no longer work for MEXC that she is now a Binance Employee..at first it makes sense because this discussion lasted for months.
I let all this in because she helped, I never let my guide down in any way, I was also waiting for a possible scam habit like referring me to a link, sending me a suspicious link, or a copycat website to steal my fund, I don't trust anyone online.
Fast forward to days ago, I brought up the issue surrounding Binance and SEC, for discussion sake, you know, to learn one or two things, to my own surprise, she knew nothing about that, this was where things aren't looking right, she never knew that Binance got sued.
That's when I started asking questions, and she end up blocking me, I guess we are having those good conversations for months to make me lose my guard, she must be waiting for a perfect time to use me and rob me.
Since she once helped me, she planned to use that on me and take advantage of me I guess, this is where I learned that not following what is happening in the crypto space as an investor is wrong.
It's good to always stay informed about what's happening around crypto lately, get a crypto news app on your phone or subscribe to crypto news feeds online to stay informed, this person was busted because she knew nothing that's presently happening with the exchange company she claimed she is working for.
Its good that you never let your guard down, they maybe have help you in the past but they might help you because they have motives in the future, i have the same experience and my friends before where someone pretends to be working in a projects and he knows lots of it, we have decided to invest and let the person manage it, in the start he seems to deliver what is promise, fast forward, he is asking for a bigger investment, which makes us think twice, we have back out and not invested later we heard that he scammed some of the people with the investment and never get anything in return, always be careful who you interact, transact with, when it comes with information you can exchange but always be curiois and alert because, they might be pretending to be someone since, whe never knew who they where, remember even your close friends will tricked you, how much more someone who you never met in your entire life |

It's been a great day, I've read enough threads. I saw quite a lot of senior/hero/legendary rank discussions, but if I'm honest, I found a lot of comments that have no value, they just write nonsense. Maybe I did too
I realize that the quality of a post is based on the knowledge of the account owner. But stupid people are still needed to continue the discussion, if everyone is smart then there will be no more discussion. So both are needed.
I know for sure there will be a lot of comments that blaspheme me. I may be a newbie but I know that a post has value and a good argument. Maybe I haven't read all the threads, so I have to ask about my statement, that many high ranking members have low quality posts? talk nonsense and have no clear arguments. Is my statement correct?
Post is not about the knowledge of the owner, or even the comments, the fact that we are in the forum says it all, everyone has ideas and needed to be share to everyone since there are newbies and some are already, been here for so long, but post are here to be discuss, everyone have different ideas, if your saying that it should not to be continue and stop there, we should have created a FAQ thread and read from there, even the great people need to continue to learn or else you will be left behind. I have been a few months in the forum and for me if you don't like what is the topic he/she post don't reply, sometimes post from newbies and others have sense but since they don't know how to write it , it became non-sense, by replying to them sometimes their questions and ideas became clearer and we are able to help them, on how we understand it. |

Every time I see people doing crypto then complains that they have done everything but still does not work for them.
The reason behind why they wont succeed is because they are counting the hours they have done the work, while they are complaining others are hustling and doing things extra mile.
Making extra effort will make things improved in everyway, for example you wan't to learn a lot of things in crypto, things will not be done in one day, remember how elon musk Tesla, SpaceX
almost go to bankrupt, but instead of complaining he continue doing things even though there is a lot of failure on his company.
What is the lesson im trying to say, keep your focus even though things get tough, keep moving even though its slow, because eventually those sacrifices will have a positive results, never get tired,

He already invested in Bitcoin some time ago and tries to dedicate at least 30minutes to 1hour to learn about Bitcoin after work. Recently when we met and we're discussing about his learnings and what new thing he has learned. He started to mention the latest advancement in the Bitcoin space from Bitcoin ordinals, BRC-20, etc. and how he gets confused trying to keep up. Because it is like as soon as he's trying to understand on concept another new one is springing up somewhere. I get his point. Most times, this can be really overwhelming. I think there is a fear of missing out here and being behind. What advice do you have to give to my friend who is trying to juggle getting grounded in the basics and keeping up with these latest update on Bitcoin?
Your friend is on the right track at the moment, but the problem is he wants to process everything in a single go, which is not possible, you should advice your friend not to hurry, because it will give him problem in the future , tell him to take it slow and one step at a time, this is not a race, timing and patience is very important, he should be cool and relax when making decisions, to avoid mistakes in the future. |

I joined cryptocurrency in 2021 based on recommendation from a friend. Since then, I focused mainly on trading in exchanges. By this I mean, buying in exchange and holding till price rises and I sell for a profit. I wouldn't say it was a bad experience entirely but it is a slow process that tests patience, wisdom and greed.
Nevertheless, I believe there should be more ways one can find opportunities of making money from blockchain technology in general; this is the reason for this thread. Kindly, give recommendations as to how one or what one can do to make income (passive or active) from cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
There are lots of things that crypto currency have to offer, in the world such things are as follows: - Transfer of money from country to country are way faster unlike banks that will take-up 2-3 days depends on the bank sometimes
- Blockchain technology will help regarding running programs that will have less downtime or nothing at all depending on how they will use the technology
- Security since it will not be tampered that easily
- Fee's are much lower when transferring large amount of money with faster transactions like what i said from the start
There lots of thing that this technology can improve our daily lives and its right there waiting for us to discover it. |

Genuinely want to know what prevents your friends/gf/ colleagues from investing? Did you have any barriers when you first started?
Here are the things that make me hesitate when i first started Way back 2011 my friend ask me for us to invest in bitcoin, my first reaction is its a scam that make me regret everything: - Aside from thinking that its a scam which later i realise its not, is because i don't have the money to invest
- I thought there is no other way than investing money, later I found out that you can earn without investing money
- Some Friends discourage me not to invest since its a waste of time , unlike working 8hrs work
- Ransomware before i thought having bitcoin will me look like a scammer, since some office are being ask for ransom
- Lastly lack of support will really bring you down, but try to focus on it if you like , you may find the light at the end and finish at the top someday

I am used to read forum posts and replies from everyone. Because I know that Knowledge is Power. I try to gather knowledge from every users who share. First of all I want to say that every board in this forum are useful in their way. Specially local boards are also very much effective because some users aren't used to use English and they feel comfort to discuss in their native language. But for me the most favorite board is Beginners & Help. Why this one?
1. Because this is the best place where new users can learn and ask about crypto. This board is the perfect example of helping nature. In this board everyone are helpful and they are always helping newcomers by giving valuable advises and information.
2. If you just read the threads of this board you will get enough knowledge and maybe you can also find the solution in the reply section. As an example you are scrolling and saw that someone asked about the best crypto wallets. You will get the proper advise about it with some additional information from users who replied.
3. New users are valuable in crypto and they should start a good crypto journey. There are hackers and scammers everywhere in crypto to trap newcomers. So they need some information and advices about how they should avoid scammers. These types of useful information and advises can be founded in this board.
I just shared my experience and you are welcome to share your opinions.
And best wishes for every newcommers in this forum, in crypto world.
As a beginner or don't have lots of information acquire it is important to go where you are comfortable, the reason why is to not be overwhelm with information where you are not be able to process it since you don't have knowledge about it, also as stated beginners & help section, it is more likely that in that section, help and answer questions, and also i have seen it is where other share information more often, also experience, member told me that this is where newbies should start, maybe after 3-6 months you should by then know a bit more, but its also recommended to check other sections if you have other things to know like mining, and bitcoin discussion. |

Our children will not be as lucky as we are, we have to help them to know about bitcoins on time so they can have some for themselves.
Don't force your children to become Bitcoin investors and let them free to choose what they want to do. You can educate them about Bitcoin but give your children freedom to make decisions. We are lucky because we are of age to know and understand what bitcoin is at this time when the value of bitcoins is still expected to increase not like our children who have no idea and it may be too late for them to make any gain from bitcoin when they finally know about bitcoins if you leave them.
Do you think Bitcoin will stop its growth next 20 years? If you are thinking so, invest in Bitcoin now looks to be not a good investment decision. I can not give you financial advice for future, as I myself don't know about future, but if you think about Bitcoin future like this, don't invest in it. A good gift any parent can give to their children for their future is to enlighten their children about bitcoins so they have some knowledge about it at an early age and buy some for the children even before they can begin to get for themselves. What do you think?
You can do something for your children by yourself. Work, spend less money for your expenses and have more savings which can be used to buy some bitcoins as inheritance for your children. Agree with this one, don't force your children into crypto, their focus is to enjoy life, give them things that they will appreciate doing, and not forcing them to learn in the early age, if you really wan't them in to crypto, try giving them games where there is a reward, but if they don't like it, then let them be, play with them, or take them to parks, once they get old they are the one who will find their way into what makes them happy, if its crypto then your dream has come true but if not, support them, crypto is not for everyone, but it will be a part of ourlives in the near future. |
