To me, In today's world, anyone that sees Bitcoin as a scam Is just misinformed, because if you go out in the street of Nigeria and do a survey, and be asking people of what they know about cryptocurrency, I am very positive that like 80% of people will tell you what it is and the risk involved, especially in this my country Nigeria, and the set of people that are still ignorant about it are mostly the elderly one, because as of now, most of them are actually still old fashion, they still see business that happens online as scam, due to their past experiences, though it's quite understandable If you put into consideration of their past experiences doing business online, so right now, it's mostly the youth that buy into the idea of investing in cryptocurrency, because their generation believes in it unlike the elderly that still sees it as a scam.

As a newbie, you are prone to get caught in unrealistic offers here and with new projects that will sound extremely profitable. I have been a member of this forum for approximately six years. During this time, I have observed numerous scammers becoming active whenever the market is experiencing a bull run. To prevent newcomers from losing their investments, I decided to share some of my experiences. In the current market conditions three most common and effective scams you will encounter. These three scams are so effective to date that scammers tend to use it whenever they see the market is in a bull run and would use them for their benefit. - Pump-and-Dump schemes

- Rug pulls
There are numerous topics about these three scam techniques within the forum and also available on Google. If you want to know what they are then copy the sentence and search as it does not make any sense for me to again go through them here. What I am interested is providing you with newbies to identify such scams. Let's start with the first one and then we will discuss the others one by one. Pump-and-Dump schemesThey are not something that any newbie should focus on as it will get you destroyed if you believe in them. The scammers would first invite anyone to join a channel on telegram where they will show how much gain every joined user has made. If you do join the channel and see such a user and then view their profile you would 90% of the time you would find it to be a user telegram bot. All you would need to do is to check the username and you will not find it. You will see the info with the username which means it is a user bot. Stay away from such telegram channels or WhatsApp channels that give unrealistic hope and promise good gains. Fake news and FUDBeware of news circulating in social media and chat groups as they are always dangerous. It is imperative to verify any news coming out from those networks and those circulation in the mainstream media. I have seen how bad it can be in the 2021 bull run and do remember that influencers are not gods or people you can follow blindly it is better to do checks before believing in them or anyone. One simple task you can do is follow the social media handles of cryptocurrencies where you have invested and check with mods of those platforms whether the news is correct. Remember fear, uncertainty, doubt, and fear of missing out is the biggest reasons a newbie incurs a loss in cryptocurrency investment. Rug pullsAnother devastating scams involve developers abandoning a project after taking investor's funds. Be cautious of projects with anonymous teams or unaudited smart contracts or a new shit coin project wherein you trying to ride the hype will lose everything. It is again important to check the project papers and roadmap to assert that the new project is good for investments. However, it is risky as there are new projects with a lot of promises that have done this scam without much effort. Actually I really don't think they are that much similar, because savings is like keeping your money in a bank or anywhere safe for a long period of time, which in most times have reduced in value due to inflation, and sometimes it serve as an emergency fund if the needs arises, while Bitcoin on the other hand is like storing of an asset that haves the ability to make you rich in a long period of time, because it increase in value overtime compared to savings that are static, and is mostly devalued by inflation. |

I was rooting for Francis Ngannou to beat Anthony Joshua. I fell for the underdog story, it would have been amazing to see someone come from the MMA to compete with top boxers and get one over them. Francis Ngannou already won me over since his match against Tyson Fury. I was expecting to see that same beast in the ring last night, but Anthony Joshua was a waayyy better fighter last night. Knockout in the second round? Wasn’t expecting that.
A good fight and enjoyed the amazing moves from both fighter and this is exactly what we call professionalism in fighting. Anthony Joshua have his brilliant style of hitting harder against oppositions. He have done it in the past and doing it again does sound easy for the British boxer. He has experienced weigh more than Francis Ngannou who was very tough in his previous matches, however this match taught me a new lesson in boxing, never to predict or place wager in favour of a fighter due to the past fights. Francis Ngannou against Tyson Fury, he was a beast and a pro but against AJ, he turned to a newbie. It was a flawless victory for Cameron boxer as he was unable to survive the second round due to his weak effort in the fight. I think he underestimated AJ, who has being training tirelessly to make sure that he defeats Ngannou and got back his respect. What a bad night and fight for Ngannou. Ngannou should know that AJ is strong and has heavy punches that can make someone collapse after been hit by one of the punches. I think that because Ngannou won Tyson Fury that was why he felt that the fight between him and AJ would be an easy one, but he got defeated so easily and so quick like a baby. Ngannou underestimated Anthony Joshua? No I really don't think so, because this guy has nothing to his name, like record of victories and title, compared to Anthony Joshua who have seen it all, so if he actually underated Anthony Joshua, that is stupidity in highest level, and what he fail to understand is that, Anthony Joshua has that power and built like him, and besides, they are both Africans from original, so Ngannou shouldn't have expected an easy fight, because to me, fighting someone that has almost the same qualities as you is extremely difficult, compared to someone totally different, so congratulations to Anthony Joshua for showing superiority and experience over Ngannou. |

When we are at Extreme Greed you need to be taking some profit off the table. Most people in crypto fail to keep the money they've made. They either sell too late or they selfishly watch all profits fall back to zero.
I've seen this happening each cycle.
We all need to understand that 1st priority in crypto is surviving. Profits are in 2nd place. Yes that sounds counterintuitive, but it's really simple. The real skill is not in making money. The real skill is in keeping it.

You are actually right on the aspect of surviving first, most traders fail to understand that risk management is one important thing we as traders have to masters first, before venturing into trading, because if you capital is in tact, you can still try again, since opportunities comes every day, and every minute, so I believe that managing your risk properly helps you stay in the market. Actually I really don't think this will solve the immediate economic crisis going on in the country, though it's might help a little bit in the sense that, since the Brics nations are not trading with the us dollar, Nigerian economy will be forced to depend less on dollar trades, because right now, the reliance on dollar is too much in Nigeria, which have contributed in the inflation going on in the country due to the devaluation of the naira.
Another thing is that, if the Nigerian government really want to bring back the country economy to life, they have to invest more on domestic production, so that they will not be too reliance on foreign made goods and services, by doing so, the economy will recover gradually on it own.

It is so difficult to look for money this period because of the hard economy, this is a time everyone needs to take his or her job very serious. Because if they fail and money stops coming it will be difficult to get something doing by this time because their are no jobs and this not an easy time to go into business because everything is expensive, to start up a business you must have a good amount money for capital of the business.
Getting a well paying job is no easy to find, once a person is opportune to get one, he/she should adhere to the working ethics and try to be much more productive than any other employees. Nigerian bosses prefer those who are well mannered and contributes effortlessly to the growth of the business or company. Once they see how important the job is to you and how you manage the business like it's your own personal investment then they will appreciate your efforts and would not let go even if takes them to increase your salaries. Never in a second thought Ngannou was going to be defeated in such a kindergarten manner by Anthony Joshua, even though i never really gave it to Joshua I had the conviction that peradventure he won he was going to feel it like he hit a rock for sure after the fight but the show was the opposite.
I had to repeated watch that Joshua's punch that knocked Ngannou off his feet as I was shock myself for someone that never expected things to go this way. I think Joshua seized the day and proved a better boxer dispelling all misgiving comparison among fans. At least for now congrats champ...

It's very sad and regrettable act by the Nigerian government to take such a hostile policy toward cryptocurrency, Because cryptocurrency is a major source of income in the life of most youth in the country since they aren't providing any job opportunities, I just believe that no matter what they does, they can't shut us down, for us not to and use cryptocurrency as a source of income, because technology is a bitch, they actually don't know what we can do technologically, we will fine our way around it.
Instead of them working to strengthen the economy so that our naira can appreciate in value, they are putting the blame on cryptocurrency and forex, that it's because of them the naira is loosing value, this is the most incompetent set of politicians in charge of affairs I have ever experienced as a Nigerian.
