441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: June 09, 2017, 08:28:36 PM
I received my bytes.

The price recovered pretty quickly after the airdrop dump, looks like people are more interested in dumping at any price than support the coin, or at least be clever and wait until the price recovers.

I was expecting some 7 days until full recover, but now I can see the price fully recovered.

446  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 02, 2017, 07:05:54 PM
In the meantime, OKCoin assumes the lead on the price, $100+ above bullstamp and almost $200 above the average.

447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA FINALS (Golden State Warriors vs Cleveland Cavaliers) on: June 02, 2017, 07:01:27 PM
This year's playoff are boring. Last year GS and Cleveland lost some games, now they just roflstramped everyone, with two 3-1 turning into 3-4.

I hope this doesn't become another boring series
448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What type of chatbot you would like to see? on: June 02, 2017, 06:54:04 PM
I think some altcoin have a chatbot. Byteball maybe?

More important is: where you are going to put your chatbot and why are you creating one?

450  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 02, 2017, 06:41:58 PM
Sooooo tempted to short the weekend. But I've been burned too often, trading using leverage. I'll just set a low buy order instead I guess.

CNBC is telling the world we're going to hit $4000. Bloomberg has taken over shilling for us. I wouldn't short now if you paid me.

I thought OKCoin opening withdrawals would start either a pump or a dump, but now I'm not so sure.

If OKCoin's $1m annual withdrawal limit applies to both Bitcoins and fiat it could lock a significant number of Bitcoins on the exchange for years. How many Chinese whales have millions of dollars worth of Bitcoins on that exchange? I bet some of them used to withdraw a million dollars every month to buy another lambo to add to their collection.

I suppose they could still trade them despite the withdrawal limit. Will the withdrawal limit affect the price, or will it have no effect as the whales could still trade?

Quote
A representative for has OKCoin confirmed a report today that withdrawals had resumed at the exchange, one of the largest in the world by volume. The spokesperson added, however, that withdrawals would be contingent on passing a verification requirement and prescribing to a $1m annual limit.

How will the limit be calculated in terms of Bitcoins Huh
451  Local / Economia & Mercado / Re: Exchange FoxBit - Tópico Oficial on: June 02, 2017, 06:38:01 PM

Recomendo experimentar a exchange Walltime.

Vou avaliar a Walltime. Tks!

454  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-06-02] Here's why regulators need to get serious about bitcoin on: June 02, 2017, 06:25:47 PM
As bitcoin's price skyrockets and popular demand increases, some of the world's largest wealth managers have started giving their clients the opportunity to invest in the digital asset.

Last week, Boston-based Fidelity facilitated investor access to the asset, and on Thursday, UK-based Hargreaves Lansdown followed suit.

Hargreaves Lansdown now gives clients the option to invest in an exchange traded note (ETN) that tracks the price of bitcoin. An ETN is an investment instrument typically listed on a major stock exchange that can be bought and sold similarly to a stock. As more well-known wealth firms give their clients access to bitcoin investment, interest in the asset by mainstream investors will undoubtedly rise. However, these firms also risk exposing consumers to the dangers associated with unresolved regulatory issues around bitcoin.

Bitcoin still exists in a regulatory gray zone, which makes it different from most other asset classes. Mainstream asset classes include securities such as stocks or bonds and tangible assets like art. The former typically have dedicated regulators — like the SEC in the US, while investment in the latter results in the ownership of a physical product. And in both cases, investors are clear about what they're acquiring. However, in most jurisdictions, bitcoin is legally neither a security nor a tangible asset, and therefore does not fall neatly under any regulator's mandate. At the same time, most mainstream investors don't have a clear idea of the asset's nature. This ambiguity, compounded by bitcoin's relative novelty, arguably means that bitcoin investments are a special case and should be treated as such by existing financial regulators. Otherwise, it will remain unclear which regulators are responsible for consumer protections regarding the asset, putting investor capital at risk.

457  Local / Brasil / Re: Comprar BTC em moedas estrangeiras on: June 02, 2017, 08:47:03 AM
458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: so what happened to MegaUpload 2.0 and its revolution! on: June 02, 2017, 08:36:04 AM
Kim Dotcom have a reputation, he can't simply run with funds. The release was postponed but but the development is still active. He already shared a video about it a couple of months ago: https://twitter.com/KimDotcom/status/848731692638453761
We are still unsure about how is he planning to use Bitcache/Bitcoin on Megaupload but It definitely looks promising and the crowd-sale went just fine on BnkOfFuture

Then he did a crowdfunding like campaign for his Megaupload 2.0?

I hope it doesn't end as Star Citizen, or even worse, as No Man's Sky
459  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 02, 2017, 08:31:27 AM
I think we might have a weekend dump again like last week.
It seems like when the markets are open, the price rises, but at the weekend crazy stuff happens.

I seem to remember the big falls back in February being on Fridays, and last week it was too.  If it does happen, I hope it is less crazy than last week!

It propbaby will but surely it's irrelevant. I mean we are back to 2430 5 days later

but will be a good opportunity to short and earn some bits
460  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculation about this month bitcoin price on: June 02, 2017, 08:28:18 AM
June is the month where nothing happens in the financial market.

So same level until end of month
