441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Research: 14% of young Japanese people invest in cryptocurrencies on: April 07, 2018, 11:52:55 AM
Crypto is mainstream in Japan, it's not strange to see those stats, Japan is an example for the rest of the world.
442  Other / Archival / Re: South Korea will launch its own coin-coded "Seoul-Coin" on: April 07, 2018, 11:10:53 AM
This seoul coin is not a decentralized coin and is just a centralized coin that is using the blockchain to mantanain the network,it's nothing related to bitcoin and it doesn't show any recognition of South korea to Bitcoin.

As I see it, it would be a local currency, many cities have one. For example, in Liverpool they have Colu that is a local digital currency.
443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Are Reasons for 1% only in Cryptocurrency on: April 07, 2018, 10:56:30 AM
What type of reasons do you think that only 1% of the world is really into bitcoin and other cryptocurrency?

On the one hand, we have the FUD, when people read articles about cryptocurrencies in mass media they come to the conclusion that cryptocurrencies are something negative and risky. On the other hand, there are not many places where people can use or spend their cryptocurrencies.
444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a new phenomenal innovation on: April 07, 2018, 01:17:39 AM
Today as we modernize some of the aspects in the economy like in the production wherein pneumatic machinery are being introduce. Thus, innovation has already prove its efficiency in the production which lowered the production cost. In the areas of transportation, there are cars also being introduced that run by a battery and efficient also and economy in terms of expenses maintenance compared to gasoline powered cars. Other than that there are already other inventions that promote the comfort of living in life. Thus, digital currency is another innovations. Could you consider bitcoin as the new innovations for fiat money? The answer will be used in my research term paper for the adaptation of unified digital currency that could be used by the people around the world.

There is no doubt about the innovative nature of bitcoin and the blockchain. Moreover, bitcoin has a great potential as a global virtual currency used all around the world.
445  Economy / Economics / Re: "Bitcoin's true value the cost to mine one" on: April 06, 2018, 10:01:38 PM
The cost of creating something does not equate to the value of that thing. For example, the cost of building a car is not equal to the value of that car. However, some people use the cost of mining as an indicator of the minimal price bitcoin can reach, assuming that in case that mining is not profitable for miners, they would stop injecting new coins in the market.
446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't it funny that countries are testing their own crypto? on: April 06, 2018, 03:06:41 PM
I don't know if the idea of a government backed cryptocurrency makes much sense. Virtual fiat money exists and can be used in many ways, credit/debit cards, mobile apps. What would be the purpose of these cryptocoins? Would this coins be traded in exchanges?
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The real reason why Facebook is banning ICO ads on: April 06, 2018, 02:09:41 PM
I don't think that is the reason of their ban, the only menace to facebook is facebook itself. With the data breach scandal, they have shot their own foot and it would not be strange if they become irrelevant in the future.
448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to deal with India and countries that ban Crypto currencies on: April 06, 2018, 11:13:06 AM
Stop amplifying things, The real news is Your bank will not allow you to buy bitcoins anymore
It is planned by governments to try to regulate the Bitcoin and at least limit the entry of large capital funds.
For you, this regulation will not affect you very much unless you intend to invest in large amounts(more than 10 Bitcoins).
you can use some temporary solutions:

People need to be a little patient. Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies will be accepted and normally used in every part of the world, in some places it will happen faster, in other countries the process will be slower. You need to take into account that this is a new phenomenon and governments are still trying to understand it.
449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The crazed battle for your attention on: April 05, 2018, 11:05:42 PM
Usually, when you browse the internet you have to deal with numerous ads than can be really annoying, unless you have downloaded an extension to block these ads. This new model lets you choose if you want to see these ads and compensate you for that. This is more fair and interesting for internet users. At the same time, advertisers know for sure that their ads are seen by real people. It's a win-win situation.
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency adaption on: April 05, 2018, 10:55:42 PM
How will crypto be adopted by the mass population? What will dealing in crypto be like?

It will be like when people started to use credit/debit cards, phone mobiles or any innovation. People will start to use them for paying for a ticket or a dinner and in a few years it will be something normal.
451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jack Dorsey, chief executive of Twitter BTC Will Wecome Primary Global Currency on: April 02, 2018, 11:48:14 AM
It's a bit of an exaggeration to say that bitcoin will take the place of the dollar, I think that bitcoin will be a currency that will be used globally and that will be something normal for most people but I don't think it will take the place of the traditional fiat currencies.
452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 40% of BTC daily Volume is Japanese on: April 02, 2018, 09:57:54 AM
It's not strange given the adoption levels of bitcoin in Japan. What is worrying is the 40% owned by whales because it would suppose high concentration levels, too much bitcoins in few hands.
453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rootstock (RSK) - Smart Contracts for Bitcoin on: April 01, 2018, 10:52:13 PM

RSK is the first open-source smart contract platform for Bitcoin.
The goal of RSK is to give added value and functionality to Bitcoin's ecosystem by enabling smart contracts, instant payments and more system scalability.

RSK network can withstand 400 tx/sec (simple payment transactions). However, RSK goal is to reach 2K transactions per second using its Lumino technology. It will be possible to make Instant Payments, Payments in Stores  and Shops and payments for Online Gaming.
According to the information from their site, RSK Platform will use Bitcoin as its original currency and have already released their network test phase while working on the final product.

Take a look at what RSK is all about on their site
https://www.rsk.co/

What do you think about RSK and smart contracts for Bitcoin?

It can be a game changer for all the crypto industry and especially for bitcoin, the possibility of making instant payments in stores is very interesting in terms of bitcoin adoption.
454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It’s Confirmed- Twitter Will Ban Cryptocurrency Ads on: March 31, 2018, 10:57:18 PM
Even if they forbid commercials for bitcoin, now everyone knows. The need for crypto money raking has already been the year of 2017 crypto money.
I hope 2018 will be the year of the subcoins.

They are not against bitcoin or cryptocurrencies, they are just banning ICO paid ads because there are so many ICOs that they can't check if they are legit or scams.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is going to replace bitcoin? on: March 31, 2018, 10:17:07 PM
I don't think there will be any coin that replace bitcoin, there will be others that will have their own space and will be important like Ethereum but bitcoin will keep being the main cryptocurrency.
456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Positive News about Bitcoin on: March 31, 2018, 08:46:26 PM
They are using Bitpay as a payment processor, so they are not exposed to any change in bitcoin value, they receive payment in their fiat currency. This is how things will work in the coming years, there will be an interesting competition between existing and new payment processors that will facilitate bitcoin payments and adoption.
457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN have spread it wings in football world on: March 31, 2018, 06:46:30 PM
I just read the news about Mr. Yong Hong Li, a Chinese bussinessmen and the chairman of Italian football club A.C. Milan tried and failed to refinance his club with bitcoin. So, what you have in your mind about this, is this news good for bitcoin or what??

The link about the news:
http://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/milan-chief-to-refinance-the-club-using-bitcoin-30172

This news makes people talk about bitcoin since football it's the most famous sport in the world and Milan is one of the most important teams. However, nowadays, it's difficult to be allowed to refinance a football team with bitcoin due to its volatility.
458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: telegram is now struggling on: March 29, 2018, 08:38:52 PM
It's normal that telegram begins to have these problems, it's an application that is increasingly known and used, not only by the users of cryptocurrencies. The increase in the number of users makes the servers fall because they can't support so much volume.
459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: By which year you think? on: March 29, 2018, 05:10:38 PM
i think we all are expecting to takeover paper money by digital currency. if we look around we can see the evolution of digital era. what do you think?
1. by which year digital currency will takeover our everyday things?
2.why you think that years?
3.how you see this change going to come?

It will never happen, even if we are talking about digitized fiat money, there will always exist paper money that does not depend on technology.
460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Purchasing biggest crypto exchanges by banks on: March 28, 2018, 12:25:28 PM
If banks were against cryptocurrencies and wanted to destroy them, they would not allow their users to use their bank accounts to buy/sell cryptos. Banks see an opportunity in cryptos, in fact, many banks are investing in exchanges or crypto companies.
