441  Economy / Services / Re: Coinoindex.com signature campaign! on: August 11, 2015, 02:55:33 PM
Oh, now i read that the link below points to the coinomat-signature campaign. Does this mean only members of the coinomat signature campaign can switch to the coinoindex.com signature campaign?

If that is true then why is that not stated in the OP?

So how can i apply here now? Do i have to apply for coinomat and then switch to conoindex? That's really confusing and i really don't get why no official gives an explaination.
442  Economy / Services / Re: Coinoindex.com signature campaign! on: August 11, 2015, 02:50:08 PM
Hi,
I want to participate in this campaign:

Name: Blawpaw
Post count:398
UID: 146583
Rank: Senior Member
Bitcoin Address: 1DewTFBKWPXi4djGaEEkJuFknuAfzrM8UH

Let me know if I'm in.

http://www.bitsig.website/Coinomat/
just enter your UID there and it'll tell you if you're in or not.

I don't understand this system. So that link is checking if i'm enrolled in the campaign. I added the signature and applied to the campaing on here in the thread. I did not get a reaction, no acception, no rejection. So now i check my uid on that form and it says i'm not active.

How can i join? BitcoinRichman wrote that my signature is not valid. But i checked the signature in first post of this thread and it looks exactly the same.

Do i miss something? I think my post quality is great but i'm even more confused about the missing feedback from campaign overseer. If i have an error somewhere then i would want to know what's wrong so that i can fix it. I would like to join before this campaign gets full.

i see it too
Profile uid : 387541
xx Signature Status : Not active

may be you must ceck again your signature code

Yes. I have the same result. I now copied the code again and put it into the signature field and saved. After that i checked the form. Same result. The profile uid is correct too.

I don't get that.  Huh

444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transactions speed prevent us from going to Mainstream ? on: August 08, 2015, 02:57:23 PM
I wanted to add that your 10 minutes are only an average. You could get a confirmation in 1 minute but it can take 45 minutes not seldom, or even a couple hours, very seldom.

You can't await someone waiting for that long. In that case, let's say a car was bought, the merchant would simply get a contract and the payment is done. He then waits for the payment to confirm. If it doesn't for some reason then he knows the person and can charge him afterwards.
445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transactions speed prevent us from going to Mainstream ? on: August 08, 2015, 02:53:32 PM
I mean if you want to buy something from McDonald are you supposed to wait 15mn while that's the time of your launch break ?
No, you're not. You're comparing apples and pears.

Maybe this clarifies things:

Transaction time (the time it takes to process a payment)
Bitcoin: 1-2 sec
Credit card: 3-5 sec

Money arrival time (the time at which the merchant actually receives the money and can spend it)
Bitcoin: 1-2 sec
Credit card: several business days

Confirmation time (the time at which the merchant can be sure the payment won't be reversed)
Bitcoin: 10 minutes
Credit card: 6+ months

So, what was the problem with Bitcoin, again?

*lol* I like your quote. I quote it for future reference in case i get this question again somewhere.

If you see it that way... yes, credit card payments are a risk.
446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transactions speed prevent us from going to Mainstream ? on: August 08, 2015, 02:50:47 PM
Could this be the reason , It's like 15-20mn to get at least 1 confirmation if I'am correct ?
Anyway the point is that we need some time to get transactions verified , could this actually prevent us from going to mainstream ?  I mean if you want to buy something from McDonald are you supposed to wait 15mn while that's the time of your launch break ?

When you are buying parking tickets are you also supposed to wait few minuts ?  Huh It wouldn't make any sense .

Honestly , I'am not even sure what controls the speed of the transactions .

It's not a problem i think. Adoption would happen that way that discounter and other businesses would accept no confirmation transactions. They would give out the goods when they see the transaction. Only when the value of the goods reaches a certain level, then they would wait for a confirmation.

I think that can be done because even with zero confirmation the chance to scam is pretty thing.
447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I've been scammed 5.5BTC. What will you do when your Bitcoin get scammed? on: August 08, 2015, 02:45:45 PM
I try to not give up. Running after the scammer until i find him and i get my coins back. Or sent him to jail.

Of course that makes only sense when the amount scammed is reasonable.
448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which celebrity do you think will be the best advocator for Bitcoin? on: August 08, 2015, 02:43:22 PM
Without a question... warren buffet of course.

People know he is a genius when it comes to investment. When he would advertise bitcoins then unbelievable huge amounts of fiat will flow into the bitcoin network.
449  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Purse.io should be the tool to grow interest for now on: August 08, 2015, 02:39:06 PM
I'm not even sure if i understood what you write about at all. Your post is hard to read or to see what it is about.

I think you want to promote bitcoin and think purse.io is a good thing to get more people attracted?

I agree, though purse isn't perfect.

Though at the end they have a lot money. They could very well do advertising and as far as i know he advertise hefty in the net already.

So i think they do their part already.
450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the Headlines: Rolling With the Punches on: August 08, 2015, 02:34:40 PM
That's right. There were way too many bad news about bitcoin. Scams happening, crashes, risks of terrorism and so on.

People now even have trouble to believe that banks are actually look into the blockchain tech. They can't believe these news since... bitcoins is bad. Cheesy
451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most expensive thing you have purchased using Bitcoin? on: August 08, 2015, 02:22:37 PM
I guess only direct buys count. Not when i took bitcoins, exchanged them to cash and bought something with that?

If so then the biggest buy i made was some notebook parts i needed. SSD-Disc and so on. I bought them through someone who ordered it for me so i bought in bitcoin. I believe the amount was something around $340.
452  Economy / Marketplace / Re: BTC-E.com exchange BTC/GG/SC/TBX/LTC/FBX/RUC/NMC/RUB/ <-> USD\BTC\RUB on: July 23, 2015, 07:10:52 PM
I know thats an old thread but it's the only one i found that is opened by btc-e and is open for promoting the exchange.

I wanted to ask how long does it take to get an answer from compliance@btc-e.com? I sent numerous requests via ticket and they only tell me they work on it. By the way, why do they write in russian all the time, even though i told them often i can't understand it? Strange support.

But i did not get any reaction from them in a month now. Nothing that they work on my case, or what happens. Only support writing me in russian that the check things. For a month?

The btc-e accounts don't react to pm's too.

I really would like to know what is going on. Thank you!
453  Economy / Securities / Re: Anything sustainable worth of investing? on: July 23, 2015, 07:03:00 PM
Barter on Havelock
EPL 2015 on NXT
BFTB on NXT

These projects look dubious. Barter? Investing in startups? Sounds risky and is so broad that it can be a cover easily.

The second project i didn't find.

The last one is mining? Why invest there? These things never went good in the last months.
454  Economy / Securities / Re: Anything sustainable worth of investing? on: July 20, 2015, 12:23:01 PM
So how long should the age? Or is that not so much important? I got the point with the difficulty.

So are you a developer?

DMD Diamond went up 100% during the last 24 hours. I hope at least some of you guys followed my advice and snatched some.

Can you explain why that happened? The price was stable for a long time it seems and now it jumped that hard? Any news happened or was that only price manipulation or something like that?

What do you mean what happened? A couple of whales who re interested in 50% stake rate and a coin which is obviously long term investment happened.
No manipulation, no major dumps, this is what people like and this is why DMD Diamond s been around for almost 2 years.

Sorry, but that looks more like pump and dump. Especially when the price was very stable all the time and then suddenly it is rocketing.

Might be that its a good stable coin but i would be feary that the price will drop to the old levels fast.

I understand your concern, it s not up to me to convince you to get into DMD or not. I ll just say we are about to celebrate 2nd DMD Diamond Bday in a few days. How many pump and dump coins you know have survived that long? Nah, DMD Diamond s not a pump and dump coin.

You might be right. I'm not so much in altcoins that i can judge this. How long did the other pos-coins survive that died, maybe created as a scam from the start, or so?

Very few other PoS alts survived their first bday. Also, many other alts are based on premine where devs just wait for the price to go up to unload these premined coins and kill the entire coin.
With DMD Diamond, it s a bit different, this coin has been very resilient to pump and dump, the price s been going up constantly, slowly but going up. IMHO, it s a safe long term investment.
We celebrated the second DMD Bday yesterday, take a look at the cakes. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=580725.msg11870935#msg11870935
In case anyone s got any questions about DMD, let me know, I m always glad to help.

Are you one of the developers? When i would hold some coins of them, how would i hold them so that i would stake the most? Simply in my wallet, should i create blocks or use a service that does this. Whats the most profitable way to hold these coins?

That s the beauty of DMD Diamond wallet. All you need to do is to get as much as can/want, place it your wallet and wait for it to age and mint.

Differently from lots of other PoS coins where you need to rearrange you block all the time, follow difficulty so you can start minting when it s low etc.etc, with DMD, all you need to do is have coins and put them in the wallet. The wallet ll do everything else for you and you will get 50% annual stake until the next block halving.

This coin is designed for people who have no time to follow the market constantly and would like to have stable and sustainable PoS income. This is why I like it.

Yes, I am a member of the dev team. This is not a one man coin, we have several people on the team. The minimum staking age is 9 days and your coins will stake some time after that.

What do you think about stakeminers.com? Would you suggest them? Are they real and do they handle the coins really in a way that they get the most staking?

A thing i don't like so very much is that you need to know the rules for successful staking for each coin. Having someone who does this for you, i mean maximizing profits, would be a good thing. Only thing is i don't know if to trust them.

FastBets doesn't pay per post anymore. They have a fixed rate per month now.

There are not many campaigns for newbies it seems...
