441  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: [ANN] MinerFarm - Virtual Mining Game for Real Bitcoin on: October 06, 2015, 11:51:43 PM
Just in case you decide to give away some additional miners to some active noobs, my IGN is BitcoinsForJoe. I'd appreciate a nice little surprise the next time I refresh my account on MinerFarm Cheesy

Or if you want to support a long-standing member of the community, toss something my way, :p.

I know that's right, most of the newbie's that won aren't even investors of the site. I would love some free ghs since I am a investor, username Gecox22

You also kinda doge my question with your give away. Could you please take a second look and explain.

Dear MinerFarm users,

We identified that 5384 accounts are created by bots to abuse the system. We will ban all those accounts. After this operation, there will be 45 Th/s decrease in total hash power. If you think that your account is banned by mistake, please contact support@minerfarm.com

After that process there will be 45 Th/s decrease on total hash power, this is normal.

We will increase the security systems to detect and prevent abusers.

Regards

Wow thats alot of bot accounts. I mean 45 ths thats 4500 free 10ghs accounts. I mean what would be the point of creating so many accounts. You would still only receive pennies per day from all those accounts.

And if there was 5384 accounts that where banned wouldn't that be a total of 53840 ghs or 53 ths and not 45. The numbers don't add up.

Imagine that most of the users where in the Zeus pool as well. Shouldn't there be a plan to recoup all those mined cheated block from the banned accounts I mean we missed out on a ton of blocks on nasty's pool because of all the invalid accounts. Along with all the other pools that missed out on those mined blocks.

Are the balances in those account zeroed out and that income pushed back into the system to raise the current blocks?

I mean I feel kinda cheated knowing my my earnings could have been a lot more since most of the banned account came from a pool with more hash and now that those accounts are gone they are still pretty close to nasty's pool. I only gripe because I invested in the game of course.

443  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Nexious.com- Premier Mining Pool - Pays Tx, PPLNS, Block Finder Bonus! 0% Fee on: October 05, 2015, 10:11:44 PM
Unfortunately, if you try to get a bunch of people together to rent hash, you'll all be competing with each other on the rental site.  It would be better if you could get a trusted member to run a group rental for you.

Of course, you need to realize that even if you do manage to get five people interested in supporting this pool by throwing 200TH/s at it for 24 hours, you're still not guaranteed a block.  In fact, with 1PH/s, your expected time to block is just over 3 days at current difficulty.  That's a pretty significant risk for most - a cost of about 1.6BTC to get a 1 in 3 chance of finding a block where your maximum possible payout would be 5BTC.

Please don't misunderstand me, I wish OP the best of luck with the pool and hope it finds a block.  Once the pool starts finding blocks, it will start to attract more users (especially if the current users are happy with the pool).

Actually I think your numbers got jumbled a bit... it would take about 1.6 BTC to run 200TH for 24 hours and it would take a whopping 12 BTC to run 1PH for 24 hours

Wow 12 BTC for 1 PH on 24 hours. But what would be the payout if the pool hit a block?

Haha thanks for the info I feel bad for sending stars a email now. I thought it was weekly every Monday. Two more days to go then.

Any know how much payout would be for a S3? Just trying to decide if sending my S3's would pay more than my current pool.

First 5 people who posts their Miner Farm nick under this message will receive a 100 Ghs miner and a power supply!
ain't that the truth. They got more than I have spent on investment.

I'm always late. Bonuses collect fast when newbies are allowed.

Hey, there are quite a few people in this world who scam for pennies, so it's not surprising that there are people who create bot accounts that get a couple of pennies per account. Smiley

Yea I edited my post I got to thinking a little but more about it reread my post again.

450  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2900 TH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: October 04, 2015, 04:56:54 PM
Finally bloke that one - still under 250% Diff
I threw in a pool restart jast after the block since there's been a few updates to ckpool in the last few weeks.
Most miners should have just continued mining with a reconnect message, though some may have failed over.

Awesome gotta go check and see who found this one. Let see if we can get another one today!

455  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: New Bitcoin Challenge - WIN BITCOIN COMPETITION on: October 03, 2015, 09:15:33 AM
gecox22 congratulations you are the winner  Shocked very quick time.

Send me your bitcoin address and I will send your winnings.

Unfortunately this app will not be continued as Google just deletes apps like this from the store.

I am happy and sad all at the same time. I am happy I won but sad to see this app die so soon. There are so many worse app's in the google app store. I am surprised that you have had such a hard time with them.

But I thank you for all your hard work on the app and here on the thread as well as having the opportunity to compete in the last competition. I wish you the best and hopefully will see your next endeavor.

I will update the thread once I received my reward to show your user base.

Thank again

Congratz for your win gecox22.

0.1BTC bonus is great.  Smiley

Hope the competition will relaunch again next time.

Keep up the good works, Tricks221.

Just wanted to show every that I did receive the prize. https://blockchain.info/tx/332b0a0396634c47f3eedf1a4339141845cdc25fd43b08ab8fc7af461b717932

Thanks Tricks221. I really hope there will be another competition!
456  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Secured my first S3, getting yet another one shortly. on: October 03, 2015, 12:53:35 AM
Can't wait. Now for some money to come in to get the power supply and the connector cord. Now I saw where I insert an ethernet cable in

and I have an ethernet cable plugged into the S3 now. Should I go ahead and get the WiFi card now or get it next month when I can get two of them and plug the ethernet cord into my computer's Ethernet plug for now before everything else gets here.

Also looking for the adapter for the power supply. I know to get an ATX power supply for the current one before I pick up the next power supply for the other one coming later.

Congratz I think

Dont buy wifi adapters you will lose some hash rate stay hardwired. Also it should be plugged into your router not your computer. Go with a server PSU instead of a computer power supply way cheaper and just as easy to setup.

Here is one for 28 bucks http://www.amazon.com/HP-441830-001-POWESUPPLY-1200W-12V/dp/B002S4LUTQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1443833523&sr=8-1&keywords=1200+watt+server+power+supply&refinements=p_n_condition-type%3A6461718011

I really feel this is also in the wrong section and or just a random post for your signature campaign.

You must enter your inventory and click the repair button in your miners line. Then You will see your miner is repairing in your repair room. After repairing you must restart your miner too in your inventory.
in my inventory dont have any repair button, so i pay 20000 for nothing.

I had this happen as well. The first time. Follow these steps.

1. Rent tech. This rent will only be for 1HR only so you have to be fast.
2. After renting tech go into your inventory and choose the miner you would like to repair and click repair.
3 After clicking on repair now go back into the main menu and click on the menu repair room.
4. you should now see your miners in repair with a time limit.
5 Once the time limit is up remember to restart you miners so that they can start earning once again.

After 1 hour you rented tech will disappear.

Not sure what ajohnnyjohn is doing, up to 220TH/s and down to 20TH/s. Maybe hes just testing his rigs Shocked

I think he is renting most likely thus the up and down roller coaster. Current the hash rate of the pool is around 29k. But I am having issues with the webpage as well showing offline currently.
