Global currency markets are a sea of red in the wake of this morning’s shock Brexit news. The pound is down 6.44% against the euro and weakened 10% against the dollar. But one currency–or more accurately, cryptocurrency–is surging: Bitcoin is up 7% in the last seven hours of trading, adding gains to a rally that started as the UK went to the polls yesterday (June 23).

443  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-06-24] For Cross-Border Payments, Blockchain Is Like "Email for Money" on: June 24, 2016, 04:28:30 AM
A group of the largest banks in the world is working on a global standard for Bitcoin’s blockchain ledger technology, a secure funds-transfer system that advocates and industry watchers have likened to “email for money.”

At first glance it seems that bank-backed blockchain payment systems like the ones being developed by R3 of New York are redundant to the Bitcoin network. But such commercial systems—built with government and industry regulatory requirements in mind—may hasten changes in the payments industry that benefit cross-border merchants and global consumers.

444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: June 24, 2016, 04:28:06 AM
Just the transaction confirmation is always the problem with bitcoins, It sometimes takes 24 hours before the transaction finishes, That is my problem encountered except scammers that own hyip sites

it's very long time, im never waiting more than 1hours to get 1confirmed, i think it's depending about how much your fee and how much you send bitcoin.

The main event that traders are watching this week is the EU referendum, which has been pushing bitcoin price action around so far this month. Surveys suggesting a lead in favor of the UK leaving the EU have supported bitcoin since this scenario would bring a huge amount of uncertainty in the financial markets, leading traders to pursue alternative investments.

The official results are set to be announced soon and so far the lead is in favor of a Brexit, leading to sharp declines for the British pound and European futures. This could spill over to the rest of the global markets, as weaker economic activity in the European region could weigh on demand for commodities and trade activity in other parts of the world.

With that, bitcoin price could be poised for further upside in the event of a Brexit, possibly even pushing past its highs this month and creating new ones closer to $800-900.

450  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: June 24, 2016, 03:09:17 AM
Now that the price is climbing up again, I would have to wait for a pullback to a price below $600. I was able to buy a few at $560 yesterday and we are already at $640 today. The price swings could really put you on the edge of your seat, while a lot of factors really affect how the price moves.

confirmed new support line in bitcoin wall, i think we will see new high line, we can reach $800 in this day, prepare your self , prepare your bitcoin, we will leaving earth and going to the moon.

452  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-06-24] Coinbase brings bitcoin support to PayPal, credit cards on: June 24, 2016, 02:50:32 AM
Coinbase, the digital bitcoin wallet company, announced Wednesday it now accepts PayPal and credit cards for bitcoin sells and bitcoin buys, respectively.

The company said in a corporate blog post that through the PayPal integration, Coinbase customers are now able to sell bitcoin and have their USD funds deposited into a PayPal wallet. Coinbase is currently offering PayPal cash-out service to U.S. customers only, though it hopes to add support to other nations as well as add support for bitcoin buys through PayPal.

Coinbase’s support for credit cards follows the launch of debit card buys in March, with the service expanding to all 50 U.S. states by the end of April.

454  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin goes up very high should i buy a house? on: June 22, 2016, 08:59:29 AM
I don't think so. A house isn't something tangible at all, as it is a piece of paper that assigns you the ownership of this house. So really, it is not real estate by any means possible.

While bitcoin if you have the private key, then it is yours.

i think buying bitcoin is good idea,  we can life at that's house, then we made accumulated depreciation for 10years, of course after 10years the price will be rise so we can collect some profit.
455  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: June 22, 2016, 08:53:47 AM
normally trader will buying bitcoin if the price down, some of them buying at high rate for dump it.
for holding people buying bitcoin in randomly rate is better, because he will buying bitcoin when he have money for buy it then hold it.
456  Other / Off-topic / Re: If i give you 10 BTC what will you do? on: June 22, 2016, 08:49:53 AM
I think that I would hold on to them for when the price is somewhere in the thousand and then I would sell them all at once.
Then I can buy a new motorcycle with that money instead of my own.

nice idea. i think with 10btc you can buy new car, it's better than you choose motorcycle.
for me i will use it for trading in poloniex, take 10% profit perday.  Cheesy
457  Economy / Speculation / Re: 10 BTC. Will I be a millionaire by 2030? on: June 17, 2016, 09:50:45 AM
thinking of that too far ahead it not possible for me..but for few years it is good to hold bitcoins..you will not be a millionaire but still you should be on a really good profit

yes too much to wait even in the course of 2030 before reaching 2030 we will reach the highest price. as it is today, if you have 100 BTC I think you really become a millionaire, just waiting for it to go to $1,000 Smiley
458  Economy / Speculation / Re: It is Buy time! on: June 17, 2016, 09:46:27 AM
Its definetly buy-time regarding long term investements.
But regarding short term it might be lucrative to wait 1 or 2 weeks until it dropped again a bit.

No I think it'll be more profitable for short term investments to buy more. If you're holding short term, you can buy now and sell at halving. If you're holding long term, I think it'd be better to buy during the crash after halving.
Exactly if you are looking for quick profits then you can buy it anytime before the halving as price will go higher at the time of halving for sure so keep on buying as much as you can.

yes if you want to buy at the current time, it is better to play fast, to wait when prices seen falling and buy it, then sell it again.

I have been doing this and get a good enough profit.
459  Economy / Speculation / Re: When Bitcoin will pass 1000 usd again ? on: June 17, 2016, 09:39:15 AM
I predict $1000 will be achieved when halving occurs. but it depends if we can continue to increase rapidly as today. tomorrow at least we could see $800
460  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining coins save or sell it? on: June 17, 2016, 09:32:11 AM
Bitcoin will be more worth in the future and that is really nice so you can better wait a longer time to sell it and that is important.
So the chance will be higher that you can earn some profit in the future so that is really nice.

Mining is not profitable now, either you buy it or earn it and save it for future as price will achieve new levels in the coming years so you can sell at that time to earn higher profits.

Agreed mining will waste your time, money and energy the best thing to do right now is to save coins for future as it is predicted that price will be too high at the end of the year.

Are you sure mining just waste time, money and energy? if you can see the potential of the coin, then you mine it. you can get a huge advantage. My friend had the experience, when he was mining coin and managed to gain 15 BTC. but it is quite foreign coins, because not many people who know and coins that exist in the exchanger china.
