Well I do care, because I own bitcoins.

Bitcoins shouldn't just be a concept, it should be practical.

Wow, lucky dude.

I knew that it was a scam but neglected the bitcointalk posts. I invested straight after the scam warnings were posted, since I didn't check bitcointalk for some days.

Although I got my investment listed on the site, but there's no confirmations...

How many hours did you have to wait?
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never buy ico: ByteCent, EQX, Sys, Craig, Vior... on: February 26, 2015, 08:02:31 AM
So much scams recently. What is causing that problem?
445  Economy / Service Discussion / Is Paidverts a ponzi scheme? on: February 26, 2015, 07:49:54 AM
I have read the FAQs and the forum posts but they were very unhelpful.

In the first place, it sounded like it's an obvious one. I mean 1.55x profit from investment just by clicking ads, and you get 50 views on a nominated website as well.

People click those ads to earn money, and you distribute these ads to make a 1.55x profit as well. Isn't that just too good?

Any ideas guys?
446  Other / Meta / Re: TIL Activity does not work on precisely 2 week intervals + interval timings on: February 26, 2015, 06:42:38 AM

Found this pretty helpful, thanks.

Just wondering why isn't it exactly 2 weeks, but something like 10 minutes more?

I think it is because the bitcoin mining dufficult adjusts every ~ 14 days.

So the time is actually based on bitcoin mining difficulties?
447  Other / Meta / Re: TIL Activity does not work on precisely 2 week intervals + interval timings on: February 26, 2015, 06:19:20 AM
Apparently , the activity changes every 1210000 units of the UNIX timestamp.

This equates to 14 days , 6 minutes , 40 seconds.

This means , after 3026 2 week periods , you would expect to gain 42364 activity.

But no , you would get only 42350 activity.

TLDR; Every 116 years you will lose out on 14 activity. Sad right ?

In order to make this thread more productive, here are some of the next timings :-

( All times in GMT )

12/9/2014 10:13:20
12/23/2014 10:20:00
1/6/2015 10:26:40
1/20/2015 10:33:20
2/3/2015 10:40:00

Here is a list of all the ACCURATE start dates of the 14 day periods till 2060 !

FAQs of the Activity system
(All of these can be found stickied in the Meta , but just in case)

Q : How is activity calculated ?

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Q : Help ! My activity (or rank) has not activated yet , even though I have sufficient posts and have posted in sufficient time periods !
