441  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [708 Gh] MtRed (PPS, LP+, API, 0 FEE) Merged Mining Test LIVE on: September 08, 2012, 02:20:24 PM
I have a question on how your different nodes work: I normally connect to the main node, but sometimes when its down, I connect to pa.mtred, how does this work? Does the pa node have its own connection to the blockchain for work, and do our workshares count towards finding a new block, or are they in essence "stales" until the main node comes back up? I just fear that by me mining on pa.mtred and submitting shares is costing you BTC.

Luke-Jr:

Is there a way to change pool priority or failover order without changing the order of the pools in bfgminer.conf? And is there a way to make this persist through a restart? I know by using the Switch Pool command, I can change the priority of one pool to 0, but that reverts after a startup, even if I write the conf again.

Love the software, can't wait until I get my MMQ to use it.

Sad whoops!

Meh, MtRed with backups is still the best way to mine...

Still no word on MHs/J. This could get interesting especially for people with expensive electricity... Even if one has higher cost per MHs it might be cheaper in the long run due to using less power.

It'll definitely be interesting to see finalized specs for both.

btcfpga.com > butterflylabs

Will be preodering from btcfpga.com today.

October shipment > November/December shipment Smiley

Place an order with BFL right now. Good luck getting it before March Cheesy

Exactly. If you place an order today for both a bASIC and a BFL ASIC, chances are you'll get the bASIC first.

Ok thanks for the update!

Rex, it appears there is a problem with pa.mtred.com syncing its work submissions to the web frontend(I hope that's all it is) because I was connected and mining on it for most of yesterday, but when the website came back up, it didn't(and still doesn't) reflect my round submissions. Thanks!

WOW!

Tom! I'm blown away by this announcement! I'm extremely tempted to switch my order. But chances are I'll stick with the Quad until I see you're shipping units out and then I'll take you up on your rebate, or if I come up with the $1100 in the meantime, I'll definitely buy one from you.

Can't wait to see the specs. Sounds amazing!

"5 dedicated Bitcointalk forum advertising slots"  I don't know what that is - but if it's real - it's effect seems underwhelming!

They definitely work, I clicked on one and found out about it that way.

in Canada their called Ration Packs...

No they're not. They are called IMPs(Individual Meal Pack).

my miner keeps disabling your pool because of "stale-on-arrival" work. I'm not sure what that means exactly, but I take it that its not good.

Hello

I would like to start a relationship with your organization and mine, to start moving forward with making the ModMiner Quad able to mine with your bitstream. Ive got some very talented programmers on my team, that could help you out - and develop some cool stuff and make a whole new (and large) group of customers able to mine with your tricone bitstream. A collaberation between the two of us could benefit both of our projects, I will contact you via email, hopefully we can get together with you and my team and put together a game plan.

Thanks Eldentyrell Smiley

-Tom

Any word on this collaboration?

Fair enough, Tom. I think "definitely concerned" was a little strong, I wasn't worried about you stiffing me or anything, I just was disappointed that my e-mail got lost.
455  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ModMiner Quad High Efficiency FPGA Bitcoin Mining Devices 840Mh/s BTCFPGA.com on: September 01, 2012, 05:32:14 PM
usually my email responses are very quick.

I sent an e-mail Aug 23 and have yet to get a response. (regarding order 215) I figure i'm in the next production run from this thread, but not getting an e-mail reply definitely concerned me.

I had that problem a couple days ago, but that was during the instability. It seems back to normal now though i'm only mining at ~600mhash

My Sapphire ghz edition 7770(stock 1150) is running stable at 1300 core and 650mem(AB won't let me go lower for some reason) on stock voltage at 241 mhash/s on BFGMiner on win 7 64bit, using Diakgcn kernel. very impressed.
458  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [708 Gh] MtRed (PPS, LP+, API, 0 FEE) Merged Mining Test LIVE on: August 29, 2012, 11:52:55 PM
Does the worker stats page update if you are mining on pa.mtred.com, or does it only update if mining on mtred.com?

Thanks,
-Dave

it updates for all. If you read about a page back, redditorrex says he's been having issues with it syncing with the main stats db, but all your shares count if you're able to connect.
459  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [708 Gh] MtRed (PPS, LP+, API, 0 FEE) Merged Mining Test LIVE on: August 29, 2012, 10:20:17 PM
Ooh! MM is back!

edit: spoke too soon, but I do have about 1500 shares submitted.. hmm...

Dear users! Right now we are doing server maintenance and miners' statistics may display incorrectly for about 30 minutes. All submitted shares are still accepted and will be counted correctly. Thanks for understanding!

Are you aware that you are talking like borg ? lol

We are the Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile.

nice pool btw Smiley , hashing happily

Most likely english is not their first language, so simple sentences are the best way to get their point across... sentence structure is about the only similarity.
