441  Economy / Marketplace / [SOLD] 9 Gram 14k gold ring on: June 13, 2013, 02:20:53 AM
SOLD to user: flavius for 1.4BTC

Terms of deal

Flavius has sent me 1.4BTC I am shipping tomarrow afternoon

I'm selling a mens 9gram 14k gokd band for BTC1.8. There is no engraveing or marks other then the 14k FF Mark on the inner band.  The ring was appraised by a jewler who told me I could easily get $150 out of it. He offered to buy it but I'd rather have the bitcoin if anyone is interested.  I will ship it in a well packaged insurance providedbox an d ssupply a tracking number.  I will subject to escrow and the fee can be taken off the cost of the ring.  I'm very comfortable useing bitcrow.

As far as metal trade go's I've made several deals on this fourm as the seller.  I can supply those names of who I've dealt with if need be.  I can supply photos if need be as well.

I do not have my own scale to provide photo proof of weigh. That is where the escrow comes in handy for both of us.  I will be patient for 3 working days. That should be plenty of time to look it over and insure yourself it didn't come out of a quarter machine LOL.

Please feel free to PM or post here.

Edit: Holding at 1.9 as a poster bellow made a valid point about the price.  If it doesn't move it doesn't move.  Will take a low offer of 1.6
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: These physical LTC look awesome! on: June 13, 2013, 01:05:37 AM
So let's say you buy one @ $40. $20 of that is ltc value the rest is the silver, cost and profit for the minter.

If one physical coin ..= ltc value for 10ltc ..+ silver value no matter what's done your investment is still solid.  Even if you spent the ltc you could sit on the coin or trade it at market value.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hard Drive Mining? on: June 13, 2013, 12:54:53 AM
Make a coin that pays active nodes for uploading the blockchain for said coin to other nodes and there you have some primative "hard drive mineing" I think a test of dropping a percent of coin to fulltime nodes is something that really needs to be looked into.  The list of trusted nodes os based on founding members and die hard supporters.  But they won't be around forever.

An incentive to leave your node up would add strength to a network.

I didn't want to say... TOR!

But there, I said it: TOR!

And I don't want to say...TOR has been breached long ago, and is a far cry from secure. It's better than nothing, but infallible, it is not. I'm no cryptography whiz, but a simple search on this forum will lay it all out there for you. I just assume that anyone can set up a node and skimming data. A forensic analyst can turn a spiderweb of IPs into a glaring red arrow to your bedroom. It's not cheap or easy, but it wouldn't be the first time Johnny Law decided to make an example of someone.

Aside from all that, the human factor will kill you. All it takes is one little lapse where you operate unsecured and you are done if someone really wants to jam your life up.

Honest to god it doesn't even cost that much to trace a tor node to someone's parents basement.  I'd never trust TOR to hide.  Basically all I use it for is to see what the other side of the mirror is looking at. Everyone kicks and screams about how scary the deepweb is.  If you are not looking for trouble however you usually won't find it.  It's a wonderful library.  Shit like 80% is archive.  Totally not the point of this convo but hey... jus sayin
448  Economy / Services / Re: [NEEDED!] Experienced eBayer (Money is instantly available) on: May 28, 2013, 12:47:21 AM
Johnny I hope you know I wasn't trolling you in reguards to the selling coins on eBay. I've been an eBay user since 2001 and have seen the sudden rise and fall of the digital item scene. To be honest this gos beyond btc.  A group of people could produce brilliant music abd decide to sell it on the eBay market.  The company would find something to hault thay from happening.

Like I said in other threads I do not believe even the charge back scammers are to blame.  It was a good year or two of the internet marketing scene flooding the market with 1page "ebooks" that in even less words said

"You wanna make money? JUST change my name to yours abd charge a dollar less then you paid for this pile of ass whipe".

449  Other / Off-topic / Anyone around these parts comic book collectors? on: May 28, 2013, 12:12:34 AM

I've been an avid collector since I was old enough to comprehend.  I would say I'm pretty geeked out on them.  Not to the point where I collect action figures as well.  But I have a pretty heavy archive.  At this time in my life I collect more signed copies of comics then anything else.  But I still do enjoy some of the marvel on going stories
450  Other / Off-topic / Re: US Govt working with two ET's on: May 28, 2013, 12:02:33 AM
I believe the second post sums it up well.  I'd like to further add that I do not believe the world at large is ready to have the solid awareness that we are not alone.  What used to be fiction is slowly becomeing fact.  And it's hard for some people as it is to accept technology change.  Let alone the outlook of the stars

It would really show we are bashful in our progress as a race of beings.  Religious beliefs would be changed as well as what we teach our children. The world as we know it would surely end.  Ether becomming more hateful or accepting.  What ever direction at the current pace. .. we are not ready to know
451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to get BitCoin noticed in your town... on: May 27, 2013, 09:23:42 PM
Is Bitpay how to start accepting Bitcoins on a website?

Bitpay abd Coinbase are pretty easy for quick injection.  You do have many devs who have taken the time to build scripts for some of the popular commerce software.

Hey I might act like a teenager.  But at least my morals are high enough to not bare false witness against innocent people.  I saidwhat I did to pprove a point and you fell right into the trap.  If you dish shit out you better be ready to take it.
453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to get BitCoin noticed in your town... on: May 26, 2013, 06:28:12 PM

Jeez , you are going around spreading this FUD while at the same time saying that we have to get the "real world" businesses into bitcoin. How do you propose to do it and have no connection to facebook, youtube, google and the rest? this IS the real world today ( as much as I hate it).

Yeah. Even real world business is having to look to facebook to get an audience. How can you expect to merge with business if you won't even connect with them?

The age old question.... What was life before The Facebook?  Lol
454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to get BitCoin noticed in your town... on: May 26, 2013, 06:21:25 PM
1. Join and make Facebook groups, ex:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/BitCoinNews/

2. Make YouTube videos and hare them with your friends, ex:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dy4-0tJrGnw

Do not deal with Facebook, Google, Twitter or any other dataminers, profilers and privacy invaders! Do not listen people like FinShaggy, who are missing the larger picture here and
might actualy be co-ops. Bitcoin and other cryptocoins are not just another normal thing out there, they are already labeled as a threat to existing system, by the system itself.

I don't use social networks anymore due to the amount of drama that follows them.  However sad but true fact is some people would be unaware of the world around them if they didn't see it on sites such as FB.  But I will also ssy with that logic being known a face book presence would be wasted effort.  Bitcoin isn't pretty. It's peer to peer but isn't social. This is the social side of it.  A good number of the trend whores on FB wouldn't even take the time to use this forum for research or question and answer.  I'm not saying everyone who uses FB is an idiot mind you.  I am saying if they can't plug and play most won't buy into it.
455  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: List of ongoing scams on: May 26, 2013, 06:09:27 PM
You just don't get it do you OP. But that's usually how it rolls with you folks with double standards  You post a list of opinion in a sub forum called  Scam accusations . A sub fourn that when the accused are called out usually someone with a valid claim has proof of the matter.  Thus a good number of the time makeing the body of the post FACT not OPINION.

Not only do you attack these websites but your logic says if 4 people decide to populate a thread that in your opinion is a scam and converse they are scammers as well. I posted some serious slams that naturally wher deleted however you did get a chance to read them.  No fact was in my paragraphs.  I simply stated some harsh rude opinion on your sexual nature,  your family abd and your personal health.  And how did you take those below the line comments?  Not well did you.  From this point on you are not going to participate nicely with me are you?

As I said in prior posted content.  If you had delivered this in some other manner that wasn't hostile toward groups of people and members in general of this forum.  Asked questions and maybe just maybe had something to actually back yourself up. You would have dodged your own bullet.  Instead you choose to commit suicide when it comes to your rep on this forum.

Shit like this makes me feel much better about the US legal system.  If the general population is anything like you we would be uber fucked. This was a blatent cry for attention. Hell the least you could have done come up with false evedience rather then none at all

456  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: List of ongoing scams on: May 26, 2013, 03:09:57 AM
Let's retort ahead of time for whatever bullshit statement you decide to pull out of you crusted asshole next.

How easy would it have been to throw your little list up in off topic. Asking the user base as a whole for opinions on these websites.  Further why bfl?  Don't you think after 11 months people are already with a non droneish opinion reguarding them?  All you have to do is search bfl scam as a keyword search to find countless stains like yourself who have pretty much trolled the exact cum girggled jargon you have.

You are an idiot.  I'm sure your the a typical generally retarded sum of the incest pool who doesn't read discriptions, instructions or for that matter anything helpful then piss moans later because something didn't work out for you.  Please fucking kill yourself
457  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: List of ongoing scams on: May 26, 2013, 02:56:33 AM
Glad I got to call this idiot out.

Op is the guy who blames everything of being a scam so that when he's actually right, he gets a sense of accomplishment.

You speak as if I simply say my personal opinion rather than showing objective facts.

 Grin

Encouraging that behavior? Wow...

Point proven.   When the tide shifts assholes like you tend to hit the fetal position on the ground.  Grab a binky bitch boy. Your not going to get famous with your populated list of opinions that have no valid points or resources.

459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to get BitCoin noticed in your town... on: May 26, 2013, 01:49:26 AM
I introduced it to a local Linux user group.  It became a regular mention and the group membership started bringing friends,  family abd co workers to the meetings. For awhile it was the primary buzz.  Still is but it's more sneaky now.  The coffee shop that the meetings are held accept coin and about 8 of the members use abd promote it among the brick abd mortars they own or are apart of
460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens when the US makes crypto-currency illegal? on: May 26, 2013, 01:23:40 AM
IMO is obvious that sooner or later factual powers will attack Bitcoin. But banning it may very well be a short sighted and counterproductive strategy,  and they should know it.

Mid term would be more effective for them to buy as many coins as possible and then crash the market so millions of people are ruined. Sure, they would have created notable fortunes in the process, but that's just collateral damage. Most of people would just avoid to go nowhere near Bitcoin, at least for a while.

Long term, not even that kind of stunt may be enough to kill Bitcoin (or a superior decentralized crypto)

Many people would be ruined.  But huge buys would be seeb miles away in a sence.  Lots of people would cash out rather quickly with the hike.  Look what happend when it hit $250. The winners wher the ones who bounced some serious coin at that pinnacle price  I certainly bounced a fair amount.  Most didn't really give two shits.  They would hang on reguardless.  The losers however kept buying at that high rate without feeling it out.  The same thing would happen if the feds engulfed the market.

The major problem I do see.  If it was to hike up to ab insane price would these exchanges be able to pay out? Can you see btc cashing out a few million?  Not I
