Guys, help me...

[...]

They have three caracteristics: They never share my faucet as needed; They claim from infinites different bitcoin address 24h per day; They are all from the same referral address.

How could I fight against this?

What are you doing about these situations?

Try blocking iframes. Maybe they're not bots at all but rotator users (and generally rotators are low-quality source of traffic).
If that's not the case, check your logs. Do users come from similar IP addresses?

I'm thinking how could I redirect the Faucetbox blocked IPs, Domains and BC Address to an other URL.

I guess I should change some function into the index.php file. But I didn't found the exactly point to do this change.

Today, When a banned visitor try to claim, the faucet just reload/refresh the page. I think that redirecting I could do something smarter.

Could you help me?

Main index.php file, function called "banned", lines 1435-1439 in r60.

Hi
I'm thinking about creating a faucet with faucetbox. I'm not sure if it's a good idea so I'm looking for advice. I apologize if these questions have been asked before Smiley
Be honest, can a faucet be profitable?

Yes.

How much to put in balance at the beginning?

Impossible to answer, depends on how much you'll give away and how aggressively will you advertise it.

How much to give at every claim (rewards)?

Don't know about that one.

Which captcha is better to avoid bots?

For now it looks like FunCaptcha with high security settings works best, but nothing is perfect.

What are the best ad networks (to cover the costs of the faucet)?

Google AdSense.

I visited my dashboard after some users complained that they didn't receive their funds. Then I got this in the API page:
Error: 401- Disallowed IP
Scrn shot hosted on imgur:
http://imgur.com/9a8m6Tn
I am using faucetfly and since Monday, my users weren't able to claim ("claimed" on faucetfly, no funds transferred to their address in faucetbox)
Any reasons that faucetfly's IP is blocked/broken?
Help pls... I need this up and running ASAP.

You have ACL enabled in your FaucetBOX.com Dashboard in "Security" tab and you didn't add Faucetfly's IP address to the whitelist.

We're seeing an unusually high amount of traffic, but not enough to call it a DDoS. It seems to be enough to cause issues though...
I've implemented some simple countermeasures, it should be a bit better now.

Cant you just revert back to the old one? This list is even easier to manipulate

Let us judge that Smiley

Whens the list going to change?

I don't have any ETA yet.
448  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: October 07, 2015, 10:35:02 AM
As you can see below the yellow marker btc address receive payment through referral.

But when I check this btc address on my faucetbox admin page, I found that, there are no referral with this btc address. You can see below.

Than I want to say that , If this is an error then please fix it. & If this is a bots then I am going to ban those user.

The admin page works the other way. If shows who was referred by a given address, not who a given address was referred by. There's nothing wrong here.

Is there any way to get whole faucets payouts history from adress checker?

Currently no.

It's more of an an issue with the GUI than anything Kaz. Everything else is fine.

As I said, I've already convinced our frontend developer to change it back to a table/list Smiley
452  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: October 05, 2015, 03:54:58 PM
I never cheated like that.

I'm not saying you did, but many others have done that repeatedly.
453  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: October 05, 2015, 03:39:33 PM
You could make that you'd have to be registered to faucetbox to vote or that you should place a cap on upvotes and downvotes per day/week. That way we could have votes of higher quality because there'd be little/minimal spam.

Only faucet owners can register on FaucetBOX.com and we want to keep it that way.

How else do you explain going from rank 30 to rank 500 overnight? My payouts didn't change, neither did my traffic. The only thing that changed was your list. This new list feature is clearly flawed.

I already explained that. Just a few down votes is what it takes to move you from rank 30 to 500. The list has just started and as long as votes count is low the changes will be big and sudden.
The list is for faucet users so that they can jump into faucets world easily, it's not for faucet owners. And from that point of view the new list works much better, I don't see any scam faucets at the top anymore, which was usual with previous list.

New list are really bad in my opinion.

Whats wrong was with previous list? Was powered by visitors earnings. Thats say a lot about faucet if peoples keep visiting it.

I vote for old list Smiley

The problem was that it wasn't powered by visitors earnings but by how much coins the faucet owner sent to himself. Most faucets on the top were cheating the list.

Can anyone create new thread with voting system for new layout and old list? Smiley
No one likes the new layout lol.

Don't worry, I already convinced the Front end dev to stop using boxes and change it back to a list Smiley.

I am creating a btc faucet through a faucetbox script but at that time I receive an error " Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in /home/u953702383/public_html/index.php on line 131 " Can you help me please!!!

PHP older than 5.4 is not supported.
454  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: October 05, 2015, 08:21:45 AM
I prefer an objective faucets list which can detect at real time (even every few days) the minimal reward, time between each claim and then give you the possibility to sort them the order you like.
I know it's too difficult to get it all automated but I think it is possible in case you are planning to remake another one kaz.
What do you think?

It's not possible to reliably detect minimal reward by us. Faucets will just force payout thresholds, so you'll only be able to withdraw to FaucetBOX.com when you get 1000 satoshi etc. That will do more harm than good. Faucets with thresholds were the main pain of previous list.

Time between each claim also can be easily spoofed. The faucet owner just have to send 1 satoshi twice to himself without delay.

I know voting isn't perfect, but there's no way to make an objective list and we're too understaffed to keep the list clean ourselves. Voting is the only option. It'll be rough for now, but we'll fight with abuse if we see it and the list should get more stable over time with more and more votes.
455  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: October 05, 2015, 08:16:32 AM
The new "voting" feature seems widely abused. My faucet moved from the top 30 to now over 500th in rank in a few nights because competing faucets have voted me down. My faucet is one of the most widely accepted and appreciated sites, no gimmicks or tricks. DailySatoshis.com is 1000x times better than some of the top listed ones that just use a pre-made script and are overflowed with ads. Sad to see that the faucetbox list has turned into a cheated voting game.

Your faucet isn't very popular, the top ones have many, many more users, so they're more likely to get a vote. You have only 10 votes down, it's not that much and it's definitely not abuse... Maybe ask your users to vote for your faucet?

It sucks to be at rank 300 - 400... where the low paying/broken faucets are, while you are paying <1100 satoshi each claim.
It sucks even more if you can't generate enough traffic to get enough ad revenue to replenish the faucet balance.

Like I already said once in this thread, the faucet list isn't here to make you a living. It's for users that are just starting to use faucets.
You should advertise your faucet through many channels, like forums, ad networks, twitter, other lists and rotators.
Don't expect that you'll have a successful faucet just because you're on FaucetBOX.com Faucets list Wink. Just Google the most successful faucets. You'll find tens of sites where they advertise it.

Also I think it can be a good idea for faucet owners to kindly ask users to vote on faucet if they like it. And remember, that voting has just started and there isn't many votes yet, so now yours best chance to get to the top.

@Kazuldur

Hack your system pls and send me the 1 satoshi that i got 35 seconds too late, on the previous day  Cry Cry Cry

https://faucetbox.com/en/check/17L94a1S9Mn41vNGYsrWymsvM9cWPP9AKV

These 35 seconds don't matter, payouts aren't based on day start/end.
457  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: October 04, 2015, 12:03:26 PM
please, give me advices for my faucet. i was placing adsense in my faucet site.  any something on my site which breaking the adsense rules? thank you .. here : mbtc.cf

The horizontal ad is too close to "CLAIM FREE BITCOIN!" button. You must have a proper distance between ads and interactive elements to avoid accidental clicks.
458  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: October 04, 2015, 09:53:35 AM
I have a small problem with the new list page:

Code:
A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, open the script in the debugger, or let the script continue.

Script: https://static.faucetbox.com/js/general-0214fced31.min.js:2

I can click "stop script" and it seems to work well enough, though. (edit: well, the order of sitess is strange, and one site dropped after I upvoted it)
I get that too. It's too much information on one page and the CPU can't keep up. It's very resource intensive page...

I'll see what we can do about that.
459  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: October 04, 2015, 12:14:50 AM
That's what we did on the previous list, but with such low fees faucet owners could just send coins to themselves over and over again for pennies, artificially increasing the average. There were faucets where over 60% of payouts seemed like ones made just to boost the stats.
However, if the faucet does not pay the average you would expect it would be downvoted and therefore sent to the end of the list. I'm unsure, but I do feel that there should be more information on each block. However, on the other hand if it would be arbitrary there would be little point showing it at all.

There are things we can try to show reliably like how long the faucet has been running without going dry or how old it is. We're still thinking about this, but we decided that it's better to release it as it is for now, as previous list was almost useless by now. Updates will follow Smiley
460  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: October 03, 2015, 11:44:47 PM
Well, that one is tricky. We have no reliable source from which we could get that data and faucet owners notoriously lie about it and forget to update it.
That's a good point. One way could be maybe tracking the outgoing transactions from the faucet and calculating an average or something, but that could prove difficult.

That's what we did on the previous list, but with such low fees faucet owners could just send coins to themselves over and over again for pennies, artificially increasing the average. There were faucets where over 60% of payouts seemed like ones made just to boost the stats.

Also due to the way we count votes we can't show any meaningful numbers on the bars.
In this case, could I ask how the votes are counted? I can't image a voting system which would use no numbers.

It does use numbers, but:

1. it's not realtime, for reasons I'd rather keep undisclosed, so showing numbers would confuse users. I can imagine support tickets with: "I voted down, but the number didn't change, did this faucet pay you for that? You're scammers!".
2. we use a few factors to calculate an arbitrary score that's used for sorting. The number itself really doesn't mean anything except that bigger is better. It'd give no real information to users.
