P.S. You can now safely move your bytes and BTC out of the linked addresses.
Why people are so prone to withdraw their Bitcoins out of their linked address ?
What do they do with their Bitcoins between 2 GBYTE free distributions ?

I keep mine in cold storage. I didn't know how to sign a message from cold storage but I'm figuring it out for next time. I'd suggest others dothe same if they're in the same boat as me!

JUST GOT SOME BYTES
442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to sign a message from a paper wallet without importing your private key? on: June 09, 2017, 06:30:32 PM
without adding my private key onto the internet

You can run your software locally, without connecting to the internet.

Some software is required, humans are error-prone when hashing and signing messages Smiley

Is it possible to do in a live environment for extra security? If not, what would I need in order to do this? Bitcoin core?
443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / How to sign a message from a paper wallet without importing your private key? on: June 09, 2017, 04:51:44 PM
Is there any relatively simple way to sign a message from a Bitcoin paper wallet without importing the private key into a wallet? If there's a way to securely sign a message without adding my private key onto the internet I'd love to know what wallet I need in order to do it and how to actually sign too. Even if there is no way let me know so at least I'm aware!
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: June 09, 2017, 04:34:36 PM
The linked address is not an exchange, exchanges arent allowed.

The dude who is loaded with 54k deserves his bytes just as you do. Stop being jelly.

Exchanges are allowed. What's not allowed is exchange users pretending to own exchange hot wallet addresses by making withdrawals from the exchange hot wallet to the transition bot.

What about this? It is very deceitful and honestly just seems like fraud to me. For those that don't think it is:

Quote
fraud
frôd/
noun
noun: fraud; plural noun: frauds

wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain.
    "he was convicted of fraud"
synonyms:   fraudulence, cheating, swindling, embezzlement, deceit, deception, double-dealing, chicanery, sharp practice

Ok so the 'snapshot' happened, right? Meaning they are basing everything off of the block that happened at 9:10am EST (13:10 UTC) and I can move my bitcoins if I so choose? Right?
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CrowdSale Live]🌟🌟🌟🌟 NVO Decentralized Exchange | Multi Wallet 🌟🌟🌟🌟 on: June 09, 2017, 12:53:57 AM
If I invest say, Bitcoin vs ETH is my investment based in USD at the time I sent it, is it based in USD at the time that this ICO is over or is it just based on bitcoins at the end/when the TX is from and you happen to accept other currencies that will be taken into account as a portion of a bitcoin at the end of the ICO (ex. I give 1 ETH and it tanks to 0.06BTC. Did I invest 0.09BTC[today's rate give or take] or 0.06BTC or $260 or $150?) With so many different currencies accepted it'll be good to know that 30 days later I'm getting the same deal as someone else got. Obviously we all know prices are all over the place so that's why I'm asking.

Will this be similar to shapeshift only in the sense that I could trade Bitcoins for litecoins for maidsafecoins for ETC and back to BTC and it's just 1 fee to go from each or is it like current exchanges where there are bitcoin and eth markets + a few other coins on certain exchanges?

Sorry if this has already been asked/answered. It's just kind of a huge thread and I didn't find it with the search function Wink.

Oh and I suppose it wouldn't matter if I sent 1, 3, 18 or 4068 different transaction from the same address right? I'm just thinking of investing some now, siting on it and possibly investing more without having to use lots of different addresses. You know, the K.I.S.S. principle.
448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: COINDASH - Future of trading - ICO July 2017 on: June 07, 2017, 01:47:38 PM
This is exactly what I was looking for! Having some small stakes in a few altcoins is kind of a pain right now just to gather all of the information and find out what kind of value I'm at. This looks like a promising project so I'll be watching and doing my due diligence.
449  Economy / Services / Re: Earn 40$ for this job on: June 07, 2017, 01:38:00 PM
I'm sending you a PM OP. Send me the details or better yet just post them in the OP. Your description of what you'l actually need done is so vague it's hard to tell if this is going to be spamming/unethical.
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: June 07, 2017, 01:27:57 PM
is it normal that I already received MCO tokens on my adress ?

I have also received some MCO tokens (myetherwallet).

What's happening? Thanks.
Are these words really proven, that you get these tokens, whereas you do not use their campaigns, so how can I trust you ...

man the life is not only bounty, I don't know what are you talking about...
I invest here and I got tokens already on my adress, it surprised me because ICO isn't finished yet  that's all

I can confirm this. I invested a small amount just for speculative purposes (too bad they only take ETH. I had to sell some bitcoins for ETH. That was a first for me.) I received the MCO almost instantly once the transaction was confirmed. I'm looking at this like a flip of a coin, double or nothing. Don't invest more than you can afford to lose. Just make sure you follow the instructions! I had never used ETH before so it was very confusing for me. I can see my tokens now in the ImToken wallet.

The last time I checked you needed 11ETH to get one of the last black cards. I'm not even remotely close to that and I don't see the value of it so won't be investing anymore. I read the whole whitepaper and I'm glad it's actually one I can understand! There's basically no technical side to it, which seemed a little strange to me for a whitepaper but as a normal person with no coding abilities I appreciated it.

The one thing that confused me was how the tokens were supposed to appreciate to $500MM by 2022 (I believe that's what they said). I don't believe for a second that's going to be the valuation in 5 years, but I'm hoping I'm wrong. It looks like the 1% fee they charge will go back into a 'pot' that will go towards the tokens. I had to read it a few times to understand it fully but it does make sense to me now. Basically you'll be getting a sort of dividend on your investment into their company.

The one thing I don't like about the project is that it's based on ETH tokens. What if ETH fails? I'm not a believer. Not by a long shot. Growing in market cap doesn't mean you have a good coin. having a real use means you have a good coin.

I'm anxiously awaiting the cards and app to come out. I'll be a user for sure, just don't make me buy any ETH ever again. I don't want to touch it.
451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wouldn't this Monaco card mean you would be taxed? on: June 07, 2017, 01:12:40 AM
Technically, yes. In any country where selling bitcoins is considered capital gains this would be the case. Technically you are also supposed to claim any gifts you receive too. Did you claim that $100 your Grandma gave you for your birthday?

It looks like bleutrade has stopped all deposits and withdrawals. I'm not sure about yobit. I just thought I'd post an update as I didn't see anything specific here. They have a notice up that it was a 51% attack.

He deserves to be banned  because of massive account abuse on bounty campaign. He already earn dozen of bucks from cheating.
I see that he used the multi accounts in the aeternity company the manager of which you are.
I think that it is necessary to deprive of him all awards.

Please, guys, hold your fire, we are investigating and better know what to do with multi accounts holders.

Regards

Lol I finally see a post from the famous irfan_pak10! You have no idea how many times I see your name when looking for alt accounts.

I'm hoping to start picking this up again. I had a lot going on IRL. It's too bad too because I was right in the middle of an investigation and it looks like I'll have to start it over because the web of posts/addresses is just too confusing and I didn't exactly have it consolidated and organized yet.
455  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How to recover just over 100 btc on: June 01, 2017, 12:55:05 PM
Seriously speaking, how did you forget the email that you used on your account. Even though it is just a hundred dollars, it doesn't mean that you can forget that email. Maybe you should browse on your emails from your friend that you have contact back then.

If you're like me you may have 100± emails. So telling them it could be lollypop7484939@hotmail.com, or hambananajam12345@gmail.com, or monkey_face847383@live.com with a big list of emails isn't exactly going to help you out. What if someone hacked your email address and all they had to do was send a giant list of emails to recover the account? That's not secure at all.
Your IP would be changed by now if its like few years back unless you have the same ISP maybe you can contact them to get you IP info of the date you created/used those emails, I hope you get the BTC back and I always write down all important stuff in a small diary which I keep safe just in case anything happens I wont lose all my stuff.

I hope your diary is kept in a safe, or better yet a safety deposit box.
456  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How to recover just over 100 btc on: May 25, 2017, 12:44:11 PM
There are other ways to prove this. Did you have to provide any credit card or ID back then? Did they have your name? Could you give them a list of possible emails that it would have been under? Explain the situation and I'm sure there's a way to prove who you are. Do you know the IP address that you used? If not, do you know of any website you use regularly that could give you IP logs?

I would just keep trying and trying because in the end it's your money so they need to give it back to you!
457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day everyone ! on: May 23, 2017, 02:17:20 AM
Sounds like a neat project, a lifetime supply of Pizza's for Laszlo would be amusing or maybe someone will make a Bitcoin Pizza franchise and he will be the face and advertising of it. Ha-ha

Sounds like he would appreciate it. I don't think he held onto very many bitcoins at all. His last posts say single digit. Ouch!
458  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wish I didn't dump at $2000 on: May 23, 2017, 02:12:49 AM
This post has now become relevant for those dealing in USD! $2000 was too soon... $3000 makes a lot more sense.
459  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Looking for broken laptops/laptop parts (Canada) on: May 18, 2017, 10:15:58 PM
Woohoo I have made one whole laptop. I still need some DDR2 (pretty much  1gb+, just to test if old laptops MOBO still works) and I need a bit of DDR3. As usual HDDs 120gb+ and SSDs 32GB+ I'm interested in. SATA or mSATA.

I still have that DDR3 PC3 RAM if you needed -- also I can get you several 160GB & 320GB 2.5" HDs

I may take you up on the offer in the future. I just found out today that I have quite a significant vet bill coming up... So my 'play money' is now 'vet bill' money  Undecided ugh.
460  Other / Meta / Re: [SMAS] Signature Managers against Spam (light version) on: May 17, 2017, 02:07:06 AM
So if I understand this correctly, you guys are making a list of spammers and hoping that other signature managers will exclude them from their own programs?

If so, I am a programmer and I could potentially help you automate some of the process. I.E add a website where signature managers can search easily and get information about users.

That might be handy for looking for alternate accounts too. Currently I use Achow101's https://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info.
