441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] eMulah (EMU) - NOT a BitCoin fork/clone - call for beta testers on: May 30, 2013, 09:10:01 PM
I'll test it. Sure sounds a lot more interesting than the off the shelf clones.

Will it be open source during the beta as well?
442  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is Ashish Gulhati, et al., Satoshi Nakamoto? on: May 29, 2013, 09:22:59 PM
A few more just for fun.

Adam Back sure wants hashcash credited with bitcoin's invention. That is enough for me to think it isn't him because he is trying to claim credit for it. But Ashish... that's a little more interesting.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WTS 1000 GameCoins- Auction on: May 29, 2013, 05:44:03 PM
naa, preferably something like BTC, LTC, TRC or MNC

Well you didn't say that. You think that you would accept junk coins for junk coins. Okay, I'll offer 0.00000001 LTC. Quadrupling my original offer.

10 Sexcoins.

This is probably one of the best investments mankind has seen in a very very long time. This baby is paying a sweet amount of dividend out as well as rising in value like a monster. God I love myself for buying at the right time  Grin

I hate myself for not buying more at the right time!
446  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-05-29 Forbes - After Liberty Reserve Shut Down, Is Bitcoin Next? on: May 29, 2013, 04:14:03 PM
I think the better question would be, After Libery Reserve, are Bitcoin exchanges next?

Liberty Reserve was incorporated in Costa Rica, and they grabbed his ass. One article I read said that one of the guys they had gave up his US citizenship in fact. The whole thing is pretty interesting. It definitely seems like a step towards attacking Bitcoin as the next enemy to the state. But good luck.
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] 'foo' and 'bar' coins--a "how-to" guide for cut+paste cryptocurrency on: May 29, 2013, 04:06:24 PM
Compiling binaries with step by step instructions will remain a hurdle for some.

However, this ought to quadruple the amount of alt coins, not like we weren't getting them already.

450  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [30000 GH] BTC Guild - PPS/PPLNS with TxFees, Stratum+Vardiff ASIC Tested on: May 29, 2013, 01:42:24 PM
Based on my miner output, it looks like the total outage time was around 10 minutes [5 minutes to trigger my alarm, 2 minutes for me to wake up and check it wasn't false, 3 minutes to fix].

Unacceptable. We need to reduce wake up time. 2 minutes is ridiculous. Smiley
451  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: May 28, 2013, 02:00:52 PM
Is BFL really scam or not? I need to decide whether to dispute my Paypal transaction...

If it is within the time frame, I'd dispute it. Not everyone is so lucky.
452  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 28, 2013, 01:53:58 PM
I'm expecting dividends to be delayed this week.

What a troll. BFL coming up empty making your ass hurt?
453  Economy / Exchanges / Re: bitfloor issues? on: May 27, 2013, 04:11:23 PM
Now he completely forgot about BitFloor and is just living a regular life. What crime can we call this? He owes us money and is just neglecting it...

At this point you wonder if he made a deal with someone.

Close up shop, and we won't prosecute you for anything bitcoin related. We want you shut down. Keep their money and we won't prosecute you criminally for it either. You can just take a few civil suits, declare bankruptcy and have a blast with all your cash.

That sounds pretty realistic based on the way he is holding everyone's money.
454  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Satoshi Dice -- Statistical Analysis on: May 23, 2013, 01:43:07 PM
Wow. That's when the conspiracy theories start.

I'll go first. The "secret" is being handed out to buddies.

See how crazy the profit line was in December and January?  The last two days are nothing in comparison.  <1000 and <2000 are high variance bets.  When someone starts throwing large amounts of money at them, you're going to see some wiggliness on the profit line.

But if you want conspiracy theories, I heard SDICE recent changed sysadmins.  The previous one probably had access to the secrets.

Lol, nice. I'm of course just kidding. But if someone had access to the secret and a tiny bit of technical knowledge, such a scenario would be possible. Make it look like a few bets here and there lose, but clean out the house doing so.

I'll stop cluttering your thread though. I watch this daily. I promise I'm not trying to derail. Just a couple bad days for SD.

24 Hour Earnings 1.56 on 54GH  Huh Theoretically 100% should be 2.42, which it was at before.

What on earth is going on, this is costing me big bucks Sad

PPLNS is having a terrible streak.
457  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 22, 2013, 06:27:09 PM

458  Economy / Exchanges / Re: bitfloor issues? on: May 22, 2013, 01:56:23 PM
guy probably deposited the million dollar check and is earning interest on it while he "looks for solutions"

In a savings account, best case scenario $1000 a month? That doesn't sound like too great of a reward for how much people are owed.

Soon more than 10,000 shiny little stones will be distributed international and quietly erupt blocks.

3 T hash in sexy usb drives. Awesome.

It's crazy to say that all of that addition is less than 5% of the network!

Think of it this way though, 5% of the network, cost at retail four million bucks. That's shallow cash for a government.
460  Economy / Services / Re: Apple iPhone Factory Unlocking - Best Prices - Fastest Service on: May 20, 2013, 11:13:18 PM
Purchased an unlock from wtfvanity this morning and when I got home from the office the phone was unlocked and ready to connect to the new carrier. Great!

Thanks for the fast, professional service!

Thanks for the review! Most of the time, these unlocks can only take a couple of hours, sometimes more. This one ended up being real quick.
