441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: -- Bitcoin Transaction Fees to Sky-Rocket - Bank Takeover on: November 13, 2013, 11:38:52 AM
Bitcoin planned to be a currency, but it is not, as its price and market behavior acts more like a commodity.. wine is not water even if it was planned and named as water from the first, even if vlad2vlad still insists on calling it water again and again Wink
BTC is behaving more like gold than dollar, very obvious it is!
The only way to avoid those critical scenarios and save btc's ass is by developing adequate efficient offchain transaction models and implement them market-wise, but humans learn slowly experiencing tons of mistakes and failures before getting to the right point. There might come some new cryptos though, that eliminate those concerns, and serve the initial purpose of being a decentralized currency much better, future will let us know!
442  Economy / Securities / Re: [CryptoStocks][Bitcoin Arbitrage Fund]BAF lauched ! on: November 11, 2013, 12:34:16 AM
CryptoStocks site shows your verification level as "None", and this gets you nowhere.
I like the idea but unless you do provide certain provable ID documents to CryptoStocks and also to the public, the only people who may jump ahead to buy would be drunk or the newb fool. You should provide documents and full verification first!

443  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] MITOSYS: New Encrypted Communications Cryptocurrency on: November 10, 2013, 04:51:25 PM
A business plan should be introduced only after a whitepaper or a proof of concept has been worked out and reviewed.
444  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] MITOSYS: New Encrypted Communications Cryptocurrency on: November 10, 2013, 12:43:37 PM
I have been waiting for a realization of Mini-Blockchain scheme, following their two threads (which have been quiet for a while).
It will be great to see these two projects merge together for making a full functional new Crypto.. watching! Smiley
445  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Trading shares OTC on: November 10, 2013, 12:31:11 AM
Is it possible to receive shares-transfer without being verified in BitFunder? And if yes, how long can you keep it there, deadline?
And how will be the process to transfer your shares to other platform after that deadline?
Sorry to ask several questions, you seem to know these things based on your offering.
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TEASER] eMunie 0.9.6 Screenshots on: November 08, 2013, 11:51:48 PM
1. eMunie will be an open source after a short period of stabilizing after the launch, the only purpose of short-period closed source is to prevent the copy-cat..
2-Pre-Mined: I would rather not call it pre-mined. eMunie in my opinion is a POS model with the extra-built-in supply-demand to ensure economic stability and also preventing bump and dump, that is the way a CURRENCY (and not a commodity) should be. Of course Without placing an initial amount of coins in the system you can't implement the POS and an uniform Demand-Supply basement above it!
3-This POS like model with a soft supplied source of new coins, is provided with a fairer distributive way of mining. It will not be a hardware-Energy hungry Asic-armed race of mining all for the same straight line of blocks 0, 1,2,3,4,5..................

If this is a kind of POS model what is the initial distribution model of the coins I mean EMUs.
Will every user that joins the eMunie network receve 1 unit of emu to start with or how will the
distributed at the beginning?!

As I read in eMunie forum, there will be a fixed number, let's say 100K emus for initial distribution. Some small patches will be awarded to beta testers as promised, and the rest will be up for sale at a fixed price.
To get started with emu and get some, one can either buy at the early lower price, or start verifying transactions and receive interest (starters will receive what is abstractly called 0-balance interest)
Mining or better called verifying is very soft, works in multi-linear form topologically (unlike btc and all btc-derived alts with straight lined block-coin mining). Even a mobile can act as a verifying node and get emus.

If it's closed source, premined, it has scam written all over it.
I'd try taking it down myself if I had the resources.
2700 posts in just about 200 hours, WOW, how do you do that??
One does not need to read your posts for getting what you mean, your stats speak it nakedly! Wink

450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The State of Altcoins, A New Coin (and A Proposed Development Funding Model) on: November 07, 2013, 09:59:42 PM
You included interesting and somewhat advanced features that makes it look innovative potentially, BUT that is not enough to say I ll create a coin that will have this item and that item, and also some optional from the menu if you are eager for more..
You should introduce a schematic model with a cryptographic rounding procedure that has the minimum consistency as a Turing machine and then show us that this model can accept and include those features natively, and this is what a whitepaper or a proof of concept is for. Though I read a bit fast and hastily, I didn't see such a thing being included in your proposal.
Reputation is of less importance because:
1- having a Hero status and 2000 post doesn't guarantee anything (sockpuppets)
2- If your idea become known to be innovative, a lot of people will trust you intuitively (scammers are not that innovative usually )
3- Always there is a way of making a multisig wallet and a foundation controlling it to rule over the project development.
SO YOU FIRST NEED TO REPRESENT A WHITEPAPER!

451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WTB] 2000 PTS (ProtoShares) on: November 06, 2013, 02:02:44 AM
.1 BTC for 2000 PTS => $25 for 2000 PTS => $0.625 for 50 PTS

It takes about 8-10 hours of CPU time to get a block. Assuming a 500 Watt PSU, that's 4-5kWh per block. Electricity is about $0.15 per kWh or about $0.60 - $0.75

At best, you're willing to pay the electricity cost of getting the protoshare.

I don't think you're going to get anyone to bite until it's at least 10x that.

Right now people are buying with electricity which will push the difficulty up until a market price is found.    People are paying Digital Ocean prices which are about 3-4x the cost of buying hardware.  So I would venture a guess that the price will continue to rise.  Not that I am biased or anything Smiley
Now I see where this project is going to, good luck, my buy offer is declined!
Because of Charles there I liked to join this project once, but Cunicula is ultimately right about the ponzi, I see it now!

What do you mean by that Huh ?

452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Innovative Alternative Crypto Currencies on: November 06, 2013, 01:58:27 AM
Where is BitShares on your list?
Bitshares is an obvious ponzi scheme!
The way you try to bump the speculative price of your recently released routine POW coin Protoshares and advertising its potential value, since it will be replaced with a 1:1 ratio by the yet to come after six months bitshares (let's put aside all other serious economic debates on how you are going to pay certain dividends for bitshares disregard the market condition while you also promise BTC=Bitshare too) is a very obvious example of a ponzi..
2M protoshares now under mining and bumping will be just 20% supply of the total 10M bitshares that is yet to come by your decision and in the way you choose them to come in future. Even a kid can see what is going on here, yet greed blinds people, that is a fact of human life!

Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=303898.0
Nxt uses brand new software, it’s not a fork of Bitcoin source code.  Nxt improves different features of Bitcoin, removes some disadvantages (e.g. bloated blockchain) and resolves a big environmental issue. Mining is 100% proof-of-stake, Coins are earned solely by charging transaction fees.
Time between blocks is one minute. Also the colored coin feature for decentralized security exchange purpose will be natively coded and available in Nxt from the day one!
It has the plan to be launched at the 5th anniversary birthday of bitcoin in upcoming January.
PS: just here to introduce another, as I did it for other interesting new altcoins in progress before. Use your own brain to decide whether to participate or not.

Well I offered 0.01 btc for super3's 50 PTS, but super3 expect 0.035 btc for each PTS  Shocked
There exist ridiculous bids and asks at the moment Cheesy
I am to buy some 200-500 PTS at some reasonable prices, pm me your offers Smiley
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WTB] 2000 PTS (ProtoShares) on: November 05, 2013, 10:45:01 PM
I would like to buy 2000PTS for 0.1 BTC (I am also willing to buy smaller amounts if you don´t have 2k)
Pleas reply if interestet.
Also, would apreciate it if you would reply with the amount you have and your asking price (should you not exept my offer).

Yeah I pointed a small computing cluster at Protoshares, and have about 1000 PTS. I'm not going to sell that off for $20.
I will sell 1 PTS for ~ 0.035 BTC each since the Protoshares will get you DomainShares, BitShares, etc later on.
I suspect Satoshi is running to you for buying all your PTS at that price Wink
Irony of the midnight, Cheers!

459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin on: November 03, 2013, 05:06:36 PM
I didn't mean you do all the things yourself but rather: make a giveaway (thread), offer people some satoshi (well not too small) for spreading the word of Nxt to different places (provable) and ask them to publish their efforts with a btc address. You, or another guy in charge, can every week once review all the efforts of that week and pay proportional amount of micro btc to the effective ones. (still was better if you could assign a source of nxt to giveaway instead of btc, since this will increase the user-base as well, but you say that's not possible)
Also a bit later at early December you can place some bounties for making video and things alike to push it even faster.
460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin on: November 03, 2013, 04:31:40 PM
You need some heavy advertisement and/or marketing this two months: a coindesk report, reddit/twitter/facebook colorful presents, some videos..
You may decide to pay people some satoshi to spread the words, or their corresponded nxt coins (this you said not possible before launch)
Anyway without good media/press coverage and +1000 users pre-launch, you ll be left with a well featured crypto yet obsolete coin because of the lack of enough adoption and/or marketplace. You should start..
