Yeah it is possible that the price is $10,000 over 10 years but the price can even be higher because we do not know what will happen in the mean time. I am worrying about that later because I like to focus on the present at the moment. |

But even then, you're talking about e-money in a form controlled by the government. Our economy and banking system is largely electronic already, but the control of the supply is still down top-down, from the Federal Reserve and the banking institutions it oversees. That is the reason for bitcoin cannot be a future for paper money,at least that is my theory. It cannot be,because bitcoin isnt controlled in anyway,by anyone. So goverment would not let to erase the paper money,to get some crypto-currency,that they cannot even control in any way. Yes it will be tough. But btc will surely minimize the use of paper money. Coz it has many benefits over paper money. The govt won't let it happen and that's why it won't full replace paper money The future of paper money is always the same, maybe the designs are going to change but the use of it is going to be there. And even the bitcoin is going to the trend. It is not going to change the use of paper money. Because paper money is being controlled by the government unlike bitcoin government is not going to control it. Paper money is going to keep existing for a while because I think that we are just not ready yet for money to be only digital. In the future they are going to make the change but they do not have to rush things. |

If the US Dollar crashes then the Bitcoin users who like to sell of the Dollar have to find a other currency to sell there coins for. Not sure what the solution is going to be but it will be a real problem. |

Bitcoin is a long term project. Therefore is makes sense to save small parts over a long horizon. Do you save Bitcoins for your (grand) child or children?
For those who do not have (grand) children (yet), would you save Bitcoin for them if you would have (grand) children?
It can be a good thing but I think that it is way better to make money with Bitcoin and leave cash for them behind. You will never know what it going to happen with Bitcoin in the future maybe it will disappear. |

I use it as a currency to get what I want right now.
Maybe that will change in the future but that is what my standard is for now.
I also use it as a currency because you can buy all kind of things with the bitcoin and they are mostly also cheaper. As example you got some games here in digital goods that are way cheaper than on steam. I make use of Bitcoin as an investment and not as an currency if I want to buy something I will use my credit card or cash. It is just a waist to me to be spending Bitcoin when the value can go up. |

That is hard to predict you cannot predict the price of Bitcoin that is ahead of you that is just impossible to do. The halvling is coming pretty soon and the only way we can come behind the answer is to wait it out and see for our self what the price is going to be. Not sure what the price is going to be like after 3 months but I hope that the price has risen because I want the price to be $1000. I am somewhat excited for the price after the halving because the halving has been hyped up fro some time now. |

i think that in 2016 we will reach a new all time high because of the bitcoin halving
I predict that after the halving is price is going to reach $800 because it almost happened but now it will happen. Maybe at the end of 2016 the price can even be higher, I think that the price can reach $1000 at the end of 2016 if not then it will happen in the beginning of 2017. I think that it is possible for the price to reach $1000 at the end of 2016 but if it is going to happen that we have to see. I think that the price is going to reach at least $800 I am pretty sure of that without a doubt. |

If I answer you no then I'll be lying. Even though my hope is for us to see 1 btc equivalent to 1 btc some day with the price of fiat mean nothing to us, the current movement of the price still gives us the indication in how well accepted btc is and its demand. I do agree with your reasoning but until the I will still closely follow the btc price movement.
The Bitcoin price is super important because that is hat is attracting most people whether they should buy or sell their coins. The price and the fact the you can use it as an investment is what is making Bitcoin so popular. |

You need to buy the Bitcoin it self and hold on to that for some time and try to sell it later when the price is higher and you can make a profit.
That is the way to make money with Bitcoin and not buy stuff with it.

There is no way how to gamble in a smart way because you are not going to up your chances of winning that is just not how it works. You will have to play by the casino there rules and there is nothing you can do to change that. |

I don't think this year we won't experience steep increase similar to that happened few weeks back. Gradual increase might continue to keep the price high and profitable.

The price of bitcoin is 653,52 USD after halving right now. I don't know is the price of bitcoin will increase again or not, but i hope it will increase.
I also hope that price after the halving is going to rise because I am really waiting for the price to be around $1000 so that I can finally sell some. I do not think that the price is going to be $4000 after the halving we need more time for that to happen. |
