I hope there's a series betting online. Unfortunately I could not find anything like that on the bookies I'm using, they are more on per game better but with good markets.
There's hasn't been betting like that, this isn't NBA bro, so you can't expect something like that. Best chance to get a bet is through betting outside, or with your friends/officemates, they give better benfits to bettors as you don't have to pay for the commission.

Or we can have a P2P bet here among us like we used to do when harizen was still active, just post your proposal, maybe someone is interested to take the bet.

Back to the game, I think SMB has the edge on this Finals as they have Fajardo who is healthy and Boatwright who's outside shooting is dependable.

As of this writing, the spread has moved up to -3.5 for SMB @1.90, that's attractive enough if you are a fan of SMB.

Good luck to us guys on tonight's game 1 of the Finals.

The point spread might stop at -3.5. I also like the analysis about Boatwright, he is really a pain in the ass because he is very confident shooting outside. An to think that what made Magnolia having a hard time beating Phoenix is their outside shooting, the same could happen in this series but SMB is way more better and they have deep roster.

We might also see Romeo to playing for the Finals, if he'll turn back the clock, who knows, he might win a finals MVP again. Also, we have Tautua who was injured during the semis, hopefully he'll be able to come back so both teams will have a healthy roster.
442  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Patience is power on: February 01, 2024, 11:35:43 PM
Patience and proper investment attitude will create more power to make an investment work and succeed. Even with trading, patience should not be underrated. You will never make a good entry or a perfect exit while trading if you are not patient enough. Same with hodling, you will never experience those life changing profits if you don’t have the patience and the right attitude while holdling, as others might suddenly end up quitting when they see their investments are falling which may lead for their losses as well.

I'll also go with the Nuggets at ML here, I'm surprised that they are a huge underdog against OKC, maybe Jokic will play, maybe not, but I will put a line on them.
Thunder won with very narrow points, namely 105 - 100 and this was surprising victory because the Nuggets looked more dominant because they were favorites, but in reality OKC managed to recover and restore the situation which made them superior at the end of the match.
I don't take bets on this match because there is possibility that an unexpected surprise could happen, this is more difficult to predict.
FYI, they were not the favorites. Even before Jokic was ruled out, OKC was already -1.5 in the books, when Jokic was confirmed out, the line move to -6.5 favorite. Although the team looks close even without Jokic, but OKC manage to scape with a victory.

When SGA is unstoppable, which by the way he scored 34 points, the whole clud will be playing with high confidence, but actually it was Chet who save them, his dagger 3 gave them a good lead.

My bet last night, over 225.5 on games between the Bulls and the Raptors, too bad that in the 4th quarter, Bulls can't score a basketball and in the end, the totals for them is 225. My bets though on Knicks is an easy win as they are in a winning streak, the longest for now.
Bulls should be able to win quite easily and of course seeing how they compete will make it possible to win against the Raptors, but basically this match is win for the Raptors.
I think lot of bettors lost their money because what they bet on lost and the Bulls made some mistakes.

Yes they won but barely cover the point spread. It was -6.5 favorite but they only won by 7 points. Very close, some may even lose if they took -7.5 for better odds.
444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - February 24 on: February 01, 2024, 04:50:54 AM
The fight is back-on, new schedule is February 24. It was cancelled in November as Takuma Inoue suffered a rib injury. But he has fully healed now and has pushed for a February date with our very own Ancajas.

Do you think that the long wait might affect Ancajas in negative or positive?

Jerwin is still the underdog in this fight, almost 3:1.

I'm glad to know that this fight is finally happening again. About the chance of Ancajas, I think it's still the same, he knows how important this fight is, it's a championship fight and a win here is going to put him as champion again.

As to the betting odds which he is the underdog, I think that's okay, it's justifiable since he is the challenger and the fight is held in Japan. Of course, I wouldn't be questioning that, I love him as the underdog as I'm betting on him to win. Good luck to him, hopefully we will see another Filipino champion soon.
445  Other / Meta / Re: Other Forum members are more civil than Legendary members, Why? on: January 31, 2024, 11:47:28 PM
That is only on a newbie perspective like you. But if you are going to ask us, legendary members are just trying to go straight to the point so that newbies will learn quickly and get the main point directly without hitting around the bush. If that would mean being rude to the new members, then I must say you are not embracing what the forum is all about. Not all members are kind and soft spoken, and probably that’s what they really are, but we are not after with their personalities but their abilities to share the knowledge to the newbies. At the end of the day, we are gathered here to share and exchange relevant ideas, not to criticize one’s personality and rudeness.
446  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are newbies afraid to comment on threads of highly ranked members? on: January 31, 2024, 09:54:20 PM
Still, are you afraid to engage in discussion? You have to come out of your fear of posting here. Beginners could make mistakes, but always research before writing to make sure you aren't spreading misinformation. To learn, you have to read more than you intend to write. Unless you create a spam post here, you don't need to be afraid here. Forum members are helpful here, and we will definitely help if your intentions are to learn.
Being fearful will not unlock your potentials deep within yourself. You can be a good poster in the long run but that will hardly happen if you cannot start your training as early as being a newbie. So never be afraid when dealing with superiors in the forum, remember they’re the one who will understand the newbies because they also started from a scratch way back then. But somehow, they chose to manage their fears because they have a goal to reach. That’s how a newbie should do. Learn to accept the challenge and the only way to learn fast is to dwell with the superiors in the forum through commenting on their personal threads.

We have launched our official thread for the Pilipinas community.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5483458.msg63582703

Great job team, we don't have a lot of gambling sites community in our local so hopefully it will give people another option for gambling. All they know is that Pacman endorses this gambling site, and that automatically bring popularity to the Filipino fans and gamblers. In the Philippines, the most popular game is basketball, I'm sure you have some NBA markets and PBA for local.

In football, insider trading could involve a player, coach, or other official using confidential information, such as team news, injuries, or other details about the match, to place bets on the outcome of the game. This could potentially give them an unfair advantage and compromise the integrity of the game.

Aren't team news, injuries, and other match details usually openly available on the internet and through sports bookies for gamblers to use when placing bets?. Also, do these officials typically place their bets through sports bookies or among themselves?

Did you ever heard about in-match-fixing there is some cases in my country that I don't want to proud of but here is the thing and the document CORRUPTION IN MATCH-FIXING WITHIN SPORTS: THE NEED TO REGULATE FUTURE LEGISLATION - https://scholarhub.ui.ac.id/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1023&context=ilrev

So basically it's possible to bribe A team and B team to make the goal or penalty or everything but this might cost a lot. and "Betting with inside information gives the knowledge holder an unfair advantage because they made a betting decision based on additional information that was not available to the general public." - https://www.armstronglegal.com.au/criminal-law/nsw/offences/summary/bet-with-inside-information/

So its like win win situation for insider and the broker

Match fixing maybe rampant but only the fall guy that are caught, or those small leagues are doing it but there has been a little impact on the global bets. But if you like to hear about fixed games stories, you can watch the interview of a controvertial refs in the NBA that was sentence and now has shared his story.

449  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie traders, work on yourself. on: January 30, 2024, 11:48:59 PM
Trading is not actually hard to learn if you are motivated to follow its process and do trading accordingly. But if you trade in an opposite way, puts high emotions whenever you’re trading, and you resort into being impatient when your trades are failing, then you are not training yourself to be a good and successful trader, but you are trading exactly what losers are doing.
Learning could be easy but the problem is in the application and decision-making which I certainly found hard, even old traders make mistakes.
However, as long as we don't give up and continue adopting the situation despite losses we reach the things we wanted to happen (success). Of course, it needs more focus and patience as it just comes.
We have to consider all the bad experiences and losses as a part of the learning process and so newbies must adhere. Otherwise, never do trading anymore.
For newbies, it could be very hard understanding trading due to its complexity. But as you go on acquiring necessary experience and knowledge, and building your own strategies, you will slowly develop your own potentials in trading and eventually sees trading as not that hard and complex anymore.

However, it takes time and patience to make the process work. And you could bear a lot of losses and failures at first before you can be successful in trading.
450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Confusion About Insider Gambling on: January 30, 2024, 11:58:21 AM
Sports gamblers who always place their bet a week or some days before the match are the ones in great disadvantage because players could be sold out to another team before the day of the match.

Just as Oshosondy said, if you are a sports gambler, it is better to place your bet a few minutes before the start of the game.

These are just rumors, just like when people are saying that games are rigged. Placing your bet few minutes before the game is good if you are a shark, but if you are just a casual better, nothing fancy here, just bet whenever you want and just do the right and the easiest thing which is to give yourself a time to analyzing the games you are betting.

Mafia, or whatever conspiracy theory we have, put that aside if you are not betting thousands of dollars to millions of dollars.
451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 30, 2024, 10:43:17 AM
Good matchup is Nuggets vs the Bucks. It's going to be Giannis vs Jokic, Nuggets will have the home court advantage.

I would choose the new Bucks here. Nuggets maybe a strong team at home but they aren't undefeated, and based on the last game of the Bucks, I am confident that it will not be an easy game for the home team as Giannis is sure to be unstoppable, even Jokic could not stop him. Lillard has to have an impressive game here, not sure if Middleton will play because last time he was just sitting on the bench, but even without him, I think Bucks are still capable fo winning.

If we are not confident them winning straight up, taking the handicap is the best bet for us. That's +4.5

Unfortunately the Bucks lost the game against the Nuggets, but as I have predicted, it's a very close match and it can still either go either in the last minutes. Bucks lead early and then Nuggets coming back strong, and in the last minute of the 3rd quarter they take a good lead with Murray's play. But then the Bucks make their own comeback, take a lead in the 4th. Nuggets though led by Jokic, another triple double trying to score and make a good separation. And when we thought that the Nuggets is going to win, the Bucks again, with 3's, Giannis hitting, to cut the lead to 2. But the Nuggets was able to play good defense and then score and it was the last straw by the Bucks as they lost this very close game.
It was a close game though but the Nuggets defense was good in the 4th quarter. Especially on Lillard's drive to the paint that was blocked by Gordon and the ball goes out to Lillard, that sequence was sick and the Nuggets were able to capitalize on the next position. Giannis also misses some important FTs he was only 6-11 this game, when the pressure is high, Giannis normally makes mistakes especially when up against a strong team.

They need to improve but overall it was a road game and they did well, just fall short in the end.
452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: January 29, 2024, 01:24:48 PM
Maybe game 5 we still have Phoenix +5.5.

They didn't change the opening line, it's still +7.5. I'm sure this will move down in the coming days as sure bettors will be happy to bet on the +7.5 after they beat Magnolia by double digits.  Watch out for the line movement but it's not wise to go against the trend,  the last 3 games belong to the Phoenix, you should bet on the handicap and moneyline.

If there's no adjustments that will happen with Magnolias game play maybe the trend will continue but knowing how good the system of Magnolia I have that impression that they will put this to an end, expecting domination from Magnolia this coming game 4 from both defense and offense, as they should not give SMB long time to rest while they are coming to finals with short rest.

Though just like what we pinoy always said "bilog and bola" the fate of the bettors are always in the hands of those players and coaching staff that will control the tempo of the game.

The problem with Magnolia is they are not good in making in game adjustments. It's on the last two games where they start strong, take a big lead going to the 2nd half but the Phoenix Fuel Masters makes an adjustment that Magnolia can't make. In terms of strenght, they are now 50/50 as Phoenix were able to match the physicality of Magnolia, well that's there style but Magnolia gave a does of their own medicine.

I can't wait to see the game 4, people say Magnolia will end the young Phoenix, but I say, no, not yet, we need to see a game 5 or do or die game. If the series will extend to 5, SMB will be greatly benefited here as they will go in the Finals well rested, well that's the benefit of ending the series early.
453  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share Your Thoughts on the Recent Crypto Price Drop on: January 27, 2024, 07:26:46 PM
What we have seen is just a price correction, from $39k and now it’s back again into $41k so for obvious reason, bitcoin is not yet at its long price dips or a bearish market instead. However, if you decide to buy at the current price, I can still say it’s a good time to buy since we are not yet at its peak price. And as long as bitcoin halving is not happening yet, then accumulating bitcoin through DCA is still highly advisable.

Bitcoin price remains unpredictable all throughout its process, so if we can see an edge to buy, then buy. As long as our aim is to hold it longer, then price drop or temporary market crash should not bother us.
454  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time to buy BTC NOW? on: January 27, 2024, 06:35:46 PM
If you believe in the potentials of bitcoin, regardless of its current price, then now is the best time to buy. Don’t wait for any price drop or correction as it is because no one actually knows when it will be possible. But one thing we are seeing now, bitcoin is currently experiencing a price decline so if you can afford to DCA, then do it now.

Although I can’t tell exactly whether the market is going bearish or bullish, but as long as you believe in bitcoin and you’re up for a bigger profits when bitcoin bull run comes, then now is the perfect time to buy bitcoin.
455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: January 27, 2024, 02:05:20 PM
I don't see a chance Phoenix will even win one game. however, if we are betting, we have to be careful as they have been covering the handicap on the last 2 games.

We never know, they always make it close but collapse in the 4th quarter. Maybe in their do or die game this Sunday, they will get a win and Ginebra as well. Schedule was set well, it looks like they already planned it well because Ginebra is the last game which starts at 6:30 PM, and you know, the Ginebra Fanatics will likely be present to support their team in this situation.

Phoenix and Ginebra wins, series will be extended, but if there's only one team that will win, i'm sure it will be Ginebra.

It would be shameful if Coach Tim Cone will be swept. It will create a rumors that he was only good because of Brownlee, without their best import they will not be able to return to the Finals again. SMB is really a strong team, even their 2nd unit looks like a starting unit in the other teams, and that is even without Terrence Romeo playing. Import vs Import, looks like SMB has an edge, and getting that confidence he needed in game 2 makes him more confident in game 3 which is a do or die game of Ginebra.

The first game was close but the 2nd game wasn't in the 4th quarter as it ended on a SMB win by double digit.
That's on the import. he doesn't have a good outside shooting unlike Brownlee. And compared to the locals of SMB, you can see how good their locals are especially JMF who are very healthy now and is on his MVP level. Ginebra have two big men but only C. Stand plays at a high level, Japeth is not playing his usual game and it looks like he already past his prime. How can they stop the SMB's offense and defense when this season they signed two good defensive and offensive player which is Jeron Teng and Don Trollana, their line up is stuck with talent.

Actually Ross was still scoreless just like in game 1 but his presence on the floor is huge. Ginebra were able to limit Perez but their import was unstoppable with 38 points.

That's his value to the team, he can play defense without scoring, and due to his experience, everything looks easy for him. Anyone can criticize him that he doesn't score , but take him out in the equation and we will see SMB will struggle.

456  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: January 27, 2024, 01:32:34 PM
I believe Duelbits will adopt on this kind of bet offers if there’s a good demand on it. Political betting is really entertaining because this is an event which everyone pay attention because it’s a national matter. If top casino offer this kind of bet then Duelbits will surely add one in the future once the demand is already there.
I don't know how about political betting whether any of you have bet at other casinos what about the odds given is still blurry in my mind. Cheesy
Duelbits will not be left behind if there is a good demand they will definitely adopt faster if there is a lot of interest in political betting, but IMO until now there is little interest and even bettors do not care about the politics of their own country.
It would be very interesting if this was on duelbits.

I am pretty confident that all major bookmakers will add betting around the US presidents election. It is one of the events of the year and during last elections, a lot of casinos offered this also. We are still early in the race but when the candidates are fully set in stone, we will see bets popping up.

There are lots of money on political betting, and since Duelbet is a popular and big sportsbook, I would not be surprise if they will add a popular election, particularly the USA election.

Just checked how much money entered during the 2020 election.

Bettors Have Wagered A Record $300 Million On Trump vs. Biden With $500 Million Expected

Sportsbook would not let that huge bets pass without getting a share. That figure was on fiat sportsbook only, how much more if they had included bets from crypto sportsbook. So chill out guys, it will be listed soon.
457  Economy / Economics / Re: Save while young better than wait on: January 27, 2024, 08:43:10 AM
Look, you can be old and rich or young an poor, but being old and poor is bad shit.
~snip~

I would rather be rich in my youth, or rather in my best years, even at the cost of having much less or being poor in my old age. When you're young, you have far more needs and things you need to accomplish, and for that you need a lot of money - and when you get older, your needs decrease more and more and the only thing that matters is your health.

Therefore, I would emphasize that we should be more careful in our youth about the way we live, because alcohol, cigarettes and fast food will only come to pay in old age. I have a saying that says "old age will ask you where your youth was" and there is some truth in that.
Being rich at your early age does only mean one thing, you need to save and invest at a very young age, but not compromising your youth’s needs and wants as well. And because of that, your family is responsible to teach you how to save and spend money by focusing only on what’s necessary and ignore those that are not actually helping you at all.

Being rich do not happen in an instant, so if you wish to get rich at your 30’s or 40’s, you need to start the process 10 years earlier. And that’s one thing that I regret. Although I don’t have enough means to save, but I believe regardless of your monthly income, it’s still a must to save even just a small amount.
458  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Playing crypto for many years without holding Bitcoin. on: January 26, 2024, 09:41:37 PM
Hodling bitcoin is not only the safest option to gain profits. Of course, it’s undeniable that some are actually making 5x to 10x profits from buying random altcoins in the market and trade them for short term. And even others are taking risk in shitcoins or meme coins because they are also showing promising profits. But at the end of the day, when these strategies don’t work anymore, bitcoin hodling remains the safest option. However, it’s always a choice for every investor to focus on bitcoin or altcoins to hold.
459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Prepare for the Next Dip before the Real Bull. on: January 26, 2024, 08:54:54 PM
You are right. The market is giving us opportunity to buy again so we can perfectly prepare when the real bull run hits. Through DCA, it will help us to achieve our goal on accumulating bitcoin as much as we can. Don’t be too naive to wait for the next dip, otherwise we will lost again the opportunity to buy at its cheap price while waiting for the perfect time to buy. Now is the best time to buy, not tomorrow nor the following days ahead.
460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another question? Tell me your average amount per bet and your monthly income? on: January 26, 2024, 03:31:22 PM
You know kabayan in our country, the minimum to average salary and that's why many do gamble a lot in thoughts of earning more with gambling instead of going to work. I am not that type of person as what those that I've mentioned but if I allot budget for gambling, the average don't usually go that much. So, if the payday in most of the companies here in our country is like every 15th and 30th of the month. A good 10% from each of those or just one when I need to budget more for our needs. It changes at most times but it's like that range is what the majority is taking from the incomes that we make.

If a person is only earning a minimum salary then I believe it's not enough to live a comfortable life, and therefore he is no room to gamble at all. Gambling is all about fun and it's thrill that it brings to us, so having a very low salary, can it still give us a thrill if we spend 10% of our salary to gamble?

I know the minimum wage in the Philippines, and I have friends who earn that low but they don't gamble much on sports betting or any casino games on a regular basis. They gamble but on a lottery when they just have to spend less than a dollar a day and hope they'll hit a jackpot.
