Not so much big brother but more the issue of tech companies exploiting all possible holes. Seems to attract people that are a little less connected to people.
Data is just to important these days for them not to try exploiting us.

Problem is not with companies doing this but government letting companies doing it :/
442  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Islam a religion of Peace? on: February 12, 2016, 01:39:52 PM
Yes it is, the same with christianity and other religions, what matters is how the people help each other and depends on individual perspectives.

Please stay on topic.  Christianity and other religions that is all other topic all together.

Pay attention.  We don't need diversions.

Post why do you think Islam is (or not) a religion of peace.

Thanks.  I agree.  This alone is a very interesting subject because of the huge apparent gap between the repeated claims of "Islam is peace" and the reality.

People claiming "Islam is Peace" are probably good people so bad islamists ^^

Most people saying that religion is tolerant and peaceful (whatever the religion) are per se bad religious people! Because sacred texts are always extremely violent!!!
443  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drugs fuck you up, man on: February 12, 2016, 12:22:50 PM
From what I've read there aren't any conclusive studies that would show marijuana to be harmful. I'm not pro drugs but still it's interesting that there is so much propaganda for something that has not been proven harmful.

The studies claiming brain damage all stem from the 60/70 and are prooven fraude.... They gave mouses weed smoke, but nothing happened to the body or brains, nothing bad that is. Yet when they increased the dose, meaning a mouse would get no air but only smoke for a WHOLE fucking minute, which means that the braincells die from lack of oxygen....

For years doctors concluded that weed killed braincells, while it simply was oxygen deprevation, do your fucking research peeps....

Problem being we lack objective studies on drugs!

I'm pretty sure most drugs aren't as dangerous as they want us to think. But as no scientific study has been made, it's hard to get a correct opinion on that.
444  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Islam a religion of Peace? on: February 12, 2016, 12:21:43 PM
it is not peaceful and can never be made peaceful, the koran is god's final revelation to mankind and nothing in islam is allowed to be changed or modernised. when moderate muslim leaders try and bring progress to their countries for example afghanistan, iraq, libya, syria, they are taken down by traditionalists.

And so were Christians 700 years ago...

Again just a question of maturation, so your "can never be made peaceful" is irrelevant.

Christianity was finally transformed, but it took 1700 years to do so.
445  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Islam a religion of Peace? on: February 12, 2016, 12:20:29 PM
This is the debate topic.  Is Islam a Religion of Peace?  I am not starting a poll, because I want the matter determined by clear logic, not by numbers.  And not by quotes of old books.

Thank you.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ee8f8nWVWZA

The answer is rather obvious.

No religion never ever is a religion of peace. They all explain how you must kill/murder/destroy anyone not of your religion ^^
446  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoins safe? on: February 12, 2016, 12:19:31 PM
Yes, the bitcoin is a very safe method for payments, plus its also fast.
The only thing you need is a secured wallet, use blockchain or something.
Preserving your bitcoin is safe but if you want to ensure what you have has price, I mean ensure from not decreasing value then bitcoin has some risks.

Indeed, very good aspect of the question.

Bitcoins are safe, you're not going to get ripped of your btc. But btc might still lose a lot or all its value, and nothing protects you from that that's right!
447  Economy / Economics / Re: Trade house for 1 bitcoin on: February 12, 2016, 12:18:05 PM
even in 100 years you can't buy a house with 1 btc Wink it is impossible even if bitcoin price are growing the houses price grow with it

Not really, house prices are much more tied to the traditional financial markets than to bitcoin. If bitcoin grows, you can buy more house with your bitcoin. If your fiat grows, your house price grows with it.

It is not likely that you will be able to buy a house with 1 btc in a developped country any time soon. In cheaper countries it might be realistic in 10 years. Best to stock up say 10 bitcoin so you can buy a house in 10 years in any country.

Yeah it's all a question of what you call a house and where you want it!

Currently some houses are free, just because the owners want to get rid of them. But gotta look at the house xD
448  Economy / Marketplace / Re: idea for online bitcoin shops on: February 12, 2016, 12:07:04 PM
hi,

just had a small idea: what if bitcoin shops had this feature: buy this item if its cheaper than XBTC?
this would include BTC/USD conversation and product price changes.

the customer could deposit the money (and maybe withdraw it in case that after some time when his target isnt reached he doesnt want it anymore)

IMHO this should enable shops to plan better which should lead to cheaper prices (well at least for big shops. not sure if there are any atm)

please share your opinions ;-)

That's.... A good idea!

Didn't think about that!
That's right it cool be a good feature for a bitcoin shop indeed. And not too hard to put in place I bet!
449  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Iran Mocks Saudi Offer to Send Ground Troops to Syria on: February 12, 2016, 11:59:48 AM
The Saudi claims are laughable. With all the advanced weaponry supplied by the United States, Canada and the other NATO nations, the Saudi Armed Forces are still getting their asses kicked by the Houthis in Yemen. Now remember that the Houthis are armed with just AK-47s and RPGs. Imagine how they will perform against the well trained regime forces in Syria.

Let's be honest, no nation has been able to successfully invade another since ww2 apart from China no?
USA tried many times but always failed and got their debt bigger and bigger and the pockets of weapons manufacturers fuller and fuller ^^
Define successfully. We (the US) invaded Iraq successfully.
Wow. I think you're the first one I ever met who dared claim that US successfully invaded Irak xD
450  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Islam the Cancer on: February 12, 2016, 11:40:04 AM
The cancer of calling science theory fact, is more subtle and penetrating even than the cancer of Islam.

Smiley

For sure. I don't know why you keep calling your three scientific theories facts or laws cause they're nothing more than theories.
451  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate islam? on: February 12, 2016, 11:38:51 AM
No this is not a panic. This is possible threat for security of people.
This is not some cow disease and if strikes you , bad luck..
This is matter of security of citizens of EU!
Definition of every constitution  begins with //to provide security and order!

It's exactly like a cow disease. It's just a bunch of few people trying to set the world on fire. No organisation and no broad goal.

Stop them before become majority in all European countries..Than they'll try to use european laws to create their state and independence

Too late for that. Western Europe is already lost. Most of the Western European nations will become Muslim majority in a few decades time (perhaps with the exception of Italy). Eastern Europe is the only hope (Poland, Belarus, Slovakia, Hungary.etc). Even if there is zero immigration from now onward, the already existing Muslim population will start multiplying at a rapid pace to drown the natives in the Western European nations.

France is one of the highest Muslim countries in Europe with 8% of Muslims... It was 7.5% in 2009, WHAT AN INVASION!!!

Can we really say Europe is lost and Muslim will become the majority in a few decades? xD

France has had one of the highest Muslim populations for a while, as you noted. I seriously doubt the percentage is only 8% now. It'll be some time before we have accurate post-invasion figures.

But France needs Muslim immigrants. They shoot the cartoonists/Jews/concert-attendees that the French won't shoot. It would be a great loss to the multicultural fabric of France if such shootings went unshot.

The important part in all this is that the amount of Muslims is far from becoming "a majority" as lots of you guys keep saying.

You don't like Muslims? You'd want to kill them all and the blacks with them? Fair enough I don't really give a fuck I hate all humans equally. But don't give false facts or flawed reasonning. Just say what you are: a bunch of people refusing to give a fuck about others. You got the right to, I don't even care. But you're not the "righteous army" you pretend to be.
453  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are you going to do if Donald trump become president? on: February 11, 2016, 06:42:55 PM
Same thing I'm doing with the current clown we have in the White House; continue serving my country and being proud to be an American. The Presidents, past and present, do not completely define us as a nation. And truth be told, he certainly can't do worse than Barry Obama.
you are wrong. trump will be the worst president if he is elected... not obama..

US needs a good manager to clean up the mess.  Why do you think a businessman will be worst than a lawyer?
Just because of what he says?

In 1988, Trump was saying the same thing:

Bankruptcy 1: The Trump Taj Mahal, 1991

The first bankruptcy associated with Trump was perhaps the most significant in terms of his personal finances, according to news reports at the time. He funded the construction of the $1 billion Trump Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City, which opened in 1990. By 1991, the casino was nearly $3 billion in debt, while Trump had racked up nearly $900 million in personal liabilities, so the business decided to file for Chapter 11 reorganization, according to the New York Times. As a result, Trump gave up half his personal stake in the casino and sold his yacht and airline, according to the Washington Post.

Bankruptcy 2: Trump Plaza Hotel, 1992

Trump acquired the Plaza Hotel in New York for $390 million in 1988. By 1992, the hotel had accumulated $550 million in debt. As a result of the bankruptcy, in exchange for easier terms on which to pay off the debts, Trump relinquished a 49 percent stake in the Plaza to a total of six lenders, according to ABC News. Trump remained the hotel’s CEO, but it was merely a gesture -- he didn’t earn a salary and had no say in the hotel’s day-to-day operations, according to the New York Times.

Bankruptcy 3: Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts, 2004

Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts filed for bankruptcy again in 2004 when his casinos -- including the Trump Taj Mahal, Trump Marina and Trump Plaza casinos in Atlantic City and a riverboat casino in Indiana -- had accrued an estimated $1.8 billion in debt, according to the Associated Press. Trump agreed to reduce his share in the company from 47 to 27 percent in a restructuring plan, but he was still the company’s largest single shareholder and remained in charge of its operations. Trump told the Associated Press at the time that the company represented less than 1 percent of his net worth.

Bankruptcy 4: Trump Entertainment Resorts, 2009

Trump Entertainment Resorts -- formerly Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts -- was hit hard by the 2008 economic recession and missed a $53.1 million bond interest payment in December 2008, according to ABC News. After debating with the company’s board of directors, Trump resigned as the company’s chairman and had his corporate stake in the company reduced to 10 percent. The company continued to use Trump’s name in licensing.

Thanks for the data.
The problem being that if you run a country, you can't go bankrupt then create a new one xD
454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are so many cryptos good for the world? Or is it better to have only a few? on: February 11, 2016, 06:33:55 PM
Hi Guys, since the day I have entered in to the world of crypto currencies, I was shocked to see the numbers of available currencies.
According to Coinmarketcap website, we now have 674 crypto currencies of various types which is more than the numbers of fiat.

Every now and then I am seeing a new currency is being introduced. I think this way we are harming the security of crypto currency sector. If this continues, government will have to intervene someday just to stop the free distribution of money (power) in to the society.

Also I see that the total crypto currency market size is 6,823,585,068 usd as per the above mentioned website and this huge amount of money is getting divided among these 674 currencies. The more people are moving to newer currencies, the lesser amount of money is getting circulated in to the established crypto currency trading, which in turn is decreasing the price of those currencies.

I think around 10-12 currencies are better that having 674 different currencies and it will not threaten the existence of crypto currency world.

What do you guys think?

674 Cryptos? xD

Didn't know we had so many!!!
Well in reality it doesn't matter that much. Of those 674 currencies, I'd say 600 of them don't really exist, they're not even mined or just enough to make a few tx. And all the coins are hold by the dev behind it.

Of the 74 remaining 50 are "local" or "special" coins such as the Franc which are created and supported by a cultural aspect. Coins for Germans/French/Green only ^^
Those are not made to be big but they do have a small community. Why not? It's not bad at all and brings some diversity!

Of the 24 remainings 23 are important coins. They got a purpose or a goal, something that makes them different from btc and a bit unique (except LTC, ltc is a mistake). They're all important because it gives innovation process in crypto world and force btc to be innovative too!

And the last one is our beloved btc of course, the one the best <3

So no it's not better to have 14 cryptos, the ecosystem is good as it is! Wink

456  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Proof that God exists on: February 11, 2016, 06:19:45 PM
...

The greater complexity has more order within it.
...

Chaos can be quite complex.

Chaos Theory can be complex. There is no real chaos. Everything acts according to the laws of nature as cause and effect dictate. Chaos, like randomness, exist only in the minds of people who can't see (understand) the reason why.

Smiley

So now you are going to dismiss reality because it is conflicting with your ancient world view.

Cause and effect shows that there is no real chaos. Chaos theory is not necessarily about chaos.

Chaos theory is theory; it has not been proven to be true. Cause and effect is truth. In fact, cause and effect are the basis for scientific examination and discovery.

Why are trying to turn reality into fiction and fiction into reality?

Smiley

Could you just do ONE thing so we can settle this whole discussion?

Define how YOU decide a theory is true. Then we'll be able to discuss. Cause all you're saying is "the laws that makes my point are true, the others are just theories".

I don't and can't decide a theory is true. If the proposal in the theory is true, the so-called theory is not a theory. Rather, it is a law.

This doesn't mean that people know that it is a law. Scientists may not have figured out that it is a law. Maybe it is complex enough that they will never figure out that it is a law. If this is the case, it will always remain a theory in their understanding.

This doesn't meant that it is a theory in reality. It may be a law in reality. But because scientists haven't determined that it is a law, they will always have to consider it a theory... at least until they can prove that it is a law.

If you mean, how do I decide if a theory is a theory, well, I'm not into formulating theories. I simply take their word for it when they say it is a theory.

In addition, I am not simply saying something like "the laws that makes my point are real laws." What I am doing is stating the laws so that anybody that wants to see that they are laws can, once he has confirmed that they are laws, start calculating for himself that they prove the existence of God.

If you are really that interested, you need to do a little research... but not all that much.

Smiley

Which is why we all ask you this question: how do you make the difference between a true proposal and a false one?

Because for scientists, the proposals of the laws you say are true are less proven than the ones you say are wrong!

My question is about this sentence: " If the proposal in the theory is true, the so-called theory is not a theory. Rather, it is a law. " how do you determine the proposal is true?

Here's a quote from shorena from 2 weeks ago (I cut the excess non related comments to this thread). After that I did checked and monitor the site for couple of days and would like to confirm that certainly there's no demand (at all) and it would have been a great way to earn few bucks though.

Doesn't surprise me. I don't really see why it would be used. Most people in need for such modelisations have the hardware to support it behind!

Today you have many radical followers, this is very great number of them.
And many of them are willing to suicidal attack on Europian people..
We dont talk about few hundrets people..

No we're talking about few dozens of people...
There is nothing in Europe, terrorists attack make maybe 200 deaths a year! In whole Europe!!!
Seriously more people die from cows than from terrorist attacks!!!

But no everyone is here totally crazy "maaaaaaaaaah we're going to diiiiiiiiiiiie I'm so scaaaaared!!!"
459  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The internet of things: how your TV, car and toys could spy on you on: February 11, 2016, 09:39:38 AM
Yep! Your computer is the biggest spy. I disabled cortana in Windows 10 a while ago, as this contains a keylogger, and automatic cloud saving services. Despite several unrequested updates, Windows hasn't re-enabled cortana, so I guess the important routines (for them ) are outside cortana.

Pfff, they just don't need only Cortana. Anything else in this OS is spying on you...

And if you're using Google Chrome it's like 10 times worst xD
