...the best thing to do when this things happen is to pack up stop and enjoy your winnings.

This is the problem to most of gamblers I know. They are thinking that it is their win, that they should stop and go home. I agree that they should stop but that is not their win, they are just taking back their losses. They took back the money they lost, how is that a win? You win bets maybe, but the money? It is not a win.

That is so true.

Although it might not be true to most people that are gambling still, people should just all forget that they are gambling to get those losses or to win more money since we all know we are bound to lose in gambling no matter what.
442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My view on Bitcoin on: November 15, 2020, 06:57:08 AM
From a currency to an asset.

In the past, my friend told me about Bitcoin and he said it as a cryptocurrency when I ask him and not an asset. He always says that in the future people will be using Bitcoin to pay their bills and buy things online and offline. Right now, it is more of an online asset that you need to hold and save for a period of time to generate a profit.
443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can people rebel against bitcoin? on: November 15, 2020, 05:04:22 AM
A lot of people don't like Bitcoin to start with.

There are a lot of criminals that used Bitcoin in their transactions, from drugs to this, they are just taking advantage of the pseudo-anonymity that it has. People are using it in scams, what I am trying to say here is that all they are doing is use Bitcoin, we don't blame it on Bitcoin, we blame the people/criminals for that because they done the deed.
444  Other / Off-topic / Re: Electricity, Internet and Mobile Network on: November 15, 2020, 02:56:13 AM
This is just sad.

I know that a lot of people need help but in this case, Electricity and Internet connection is not that needed, for me what they needed is Moblie Network as they need to communicate and also needed to be updated although in some places it is not available. Right now, what they needed most is food, shelter, and clothes.
445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is an entertainment? on: November 15, 2020, 02:14:33 AM
It should just be a way to pass time, a way to have fun without interest in winning a lot of money.

If you are serious with gambling, you'll never think of that as your pass time, less focus means less opportunity to win.

Haven't your tried to convince yourself to be serious in gambling?

Why would I want that?

I could just end up addicted. why would I convince myself of something that might be the downfall of myself? That is just absurd, right? Gambling can bring you a lot of money but that also means that you could lose a lot of money. Does less focus mean less opportunity to win? No, this is gambling we are talking about, focus or not, skilled or not you can still lose.
446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler living in England makes a $5M bet on Trump on: November 15, 2020, 01:44:42 AM
The gambler had chosen the odds with cent percent hope of winning. In the history of US election every Presidential candidate is being elected for two consecutive period as President. This is the first time a president is losing the election without continuing for a total of eight years. Maybe upon this fact the gambler could've chosen the odd for Trump.

That new info for me.

Never thought that it happened in the presidential election of the US but as far as I know, I've watched this video saying that they are kind of finding a new thing so maybe they are so fond of Trumps' word and they want a new one. This might just proves that the people don't actually like the idea of Trump leading the US.

That's definitely not the first time though, this article would give us the right information.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/how-many-us-presidents-lost-second-term-b1640998.html

Quote
The office of the US president was established in 1789, and out of all the men who have held office, only ten have failed to win re-election for a second term, when they have attempted to.

It's important that we know the real information first because we made a statement, let's avoid making statement that will mislead the reader.

Big thanks for that!

There's no official announcement yet right? this gambler still has a chance but as we can see Biden really has more votes than Trump unless they make it official this bettor's bet has still chance to win.

I think trump already lost.

Those states that they sued can't actually make Trump win as there are a lot of Biden votes that Trump had that even those votes were actually for Trump, it doesn't matter. I think he already lost his $5M.
447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is an entertainment? on: November 14, 2020, 10:53:11 AM
gambling is one of the funniest way for passing time. it's absolutely entertainment and not business (unless you are a poker pro player Cheesy )
people that doesn't realize this difference are just playing in a nervous way, without enjoying the pleasure of a bets.
I am glad to see the result of the poll Smiley it means that vast majority of players have the same idea about gambling

Gambling sites here in cryptocurrency must be a habit only to any players who will enter it. They shouldn't take it as one of their vice wherein the end nothing will be left for them. Remember, when you gamble your money 95% is the average of losing rather than winning in the games whether it is casino or what.

Not just here.

It should be the same as those land-based casinos and other gambling sites, not just with online crypto gambling sites. Another thing is it shouldn't be a habit, it could still turn to addiction as it is halfway into that. It should just be a way to pass time, a way to have fun without interest in winning a lot of money.
448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Indian boy committed suicide after losing money by Betting in IPL on: November 14, 2020, 09:33:56 AM
Even if i never knew this Indian boy my heart aches for his family and friends who are hurting because of his choice to take his own life.  To commit suicide is never the right thing to do and its so sad that nobody was able to help him.

The sad thing is that the generation of younger age now is so fragile.

We hope it is a lesson for the other young generation in all countries, not doing the same thing as what he did. Borrowing money for just playing gambling is too risky, especially if we are losing the money and can not repay that loan. In the end, many of the young generations will end or commit suicide when they can not solve the problem. It is not just for the young generation, but it is also a job for the parents to watch their kids and guard them not to make a mistake like that.

Borrowing money to gamble would be a lesson.

But suicide? I think it would stay the same. There are a lot of people that did suicide from a lot of things and it kept on happening over and over again. They never fear dying since in their idea, it would be the end of their struggles and problem not knowing that it is far harder for those people that they left especially their family and loved ones.

450  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to $100k in 2021 on: November 14, 2020, 08:21:52 AM
~
It doesn't mean that it will continue this way, but it also doesn't mean that it won't continue this way, either options could happen. I say there is as much chance of bitcoin going to 100k in 2021 as there is a chance it won't, they are 50-50% possibility in my mind, we don't know what will happen.

If I had to really make a case for why it could be 100k (which shouldn't be too hard) it would be companies getting involved could make bitcoin go higher and higher.

These are places that gets involved with hundreds of millions of dollars when they do and when you get that much money (assume one billion per month) you are increasing the price of bitcoin non-stop, and they will not suddenly stop and say "let's wait for it to go down" they are doing this 10+ year long term, so they could get in anywhere they want.

I like that perspective.

We may never know what will happen but if that is the case, where these corporations or people are involved, we could be there in no time. Although we never know if that is actually what they are thinking. There are a lot of them that don't want to be part of this community; a scam, a bubble that would pop in the near future usually is their idea about it. Maybe something is changed these past years.
451  Economy / Economics / Re: Government slowly open the economy, will it make the pandemic worst? on: November 14, 2020, 07:09:18 AM
It will depend on the people if the will follow the minimum observe protocol definitely the virus could not be widely spread. But if people will be more relax while government trying to open the economy then another virus break out  going to happen. However, I am thinking a different thing is that the virus had already spread to everyone and that only affected are those people with low immune system against the virus and most us did not feel anything after getting the virus because the virus is not tha fatal. Still, being careful even others are not is a good way to prevent getting infected with the virus.

Not just the people themselves.

There are still a lot of people that don't know how this virus is being transmitted from people to people the reason why they also need the help of the government. The government should not just depend on what the people need, they should also look at what will happen and what is needed to be done in the coming weeks and months. Right now, we are having this worst time that is like a nightmare. People are dying, people needed to be saved, I feel so helpless to see how bad this situation in Cagayan, Philippines right now. People needed help.
452  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is the secret to success in trading? on: November 14, 2020, 06:04:17 AM
have continuous monitoring of price values.

I think this depends.

It is true that there are a lot of people that wanted to see the price changes of Bitcoin but there are some, usually, the ones with weak hands, that I think have anxiety might make wrong choices. If you wanted to hold your investments for a long time, I think you don't need to check sites every now and then, it might just give you some scares that would lead you to wrong decisions.

454  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's the next Bitcoin´s NEW 2020 HIGH? on: November 14, 2020, 03:14:03 AM
This would be a better sight for the bitcoin and crypto community, maybe we will see the new ATH within this year, I am too excited about that but we should not be so serious with it because things can still happen unexpectedly, way back the month of halving before, we cannot see the huge effect of it and it didn't meet what we had expected so I think this thing might be the result of the post halving effect.

It could be.

But I think the most influential effect in this great movement by the price of Bitcoin is because of the adoption happening and the people trying to get in to ride the wave. I think we will not be able to reach the price of a new ATH this year but we never know, right? The price is still going strong so I will not be surprised if we actually have a new ATH this year.
455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PRIZE OF FIGHTING Boxing’s biggest contracts revealed on: November 14, 2020, 02:30:04 AM
This should start with Floyd Mayweather.

It is obvious how much money he earned from his previous fights including Manny Pacquiao and Connor McGregor. It is true that Canelo Alvarez has that great contract he separated so that deals off. From these contracts, Floyd is the high earner of all. As far as I know, Manny also has a great contract with Showtime, why is he not on the list?
456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How long until we can bet with bitcoin in real life casinos? on: November 14, 2020, 01:21:37 AM
I think Bitcoin only fits for online casinos not unless if you cash-in it for casino chips. I don’t think that real Casino gamblers will adopt Bitcoin in their gambling lifestyle due to its volatility and they might prefer to use fiat because its more stable or stable coin will do too.

That would be the case too.

They could just make their own coin that is based on USD, a digital currency that is centralized and can be exchanged or bought using the gambler's Bitcoin. I think they would accept Bitcoin but I don't think that it would be that easy. Another thing is that these casinos might walk some regulations about these cryptocurrencies before they even consider it.

UPDATE!!

I also have an update from my friend.

BTW, nabalitaan ko din yung pagsasara ng isa but I never thought na dalawa pala yun. So, yung sa friend ko ay diretso pa din and he said na nagkaroon ng pagbabago sa rules nila, na tinanggal na nila ang 100 turns to 300. But guess what, they increased the maximum limit of investment na pwedeng ipasok ng tao and base daw ito dun sa mga nasa taas, yup, "base daw sa mga nasa taas". Si GOD?
458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler living in England makes a $5M bet on Trump on: November 13, 2020, 11:24:04 AM
That's what I'm thinking if a user owns a huge pile of money I don't think this kind of losswould give him stress and frustration but maybe it would give him some small regrets maybe? but I think he wouldn't place bet if he can't deal with it on the first place.

We never know, right?

There are a lot of people that are so confident with their bet picks and you don't even know where are they getting that kind of confidence since, to be honest, we are dealing with gambling and we never know if we will win or lose. I guess he is just so into Trump and his words that he's so sure he will win while the seat is now for Biden so bye bye $5M.
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The bounty scam will gradually go away on: November 13, 2020, 10:52:19 AM
I think this still depends on the user themselves.

We don't know how all of us users are doing but we should be really knowledgeable and careful when it comes to the projects that we are investing our money into. As long as there are a lot of users that would invest in these scam projects and as long as there are people who are willing to join their Twitter, FB, Telegram and Signature campaign, it will never go away.
460  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's the next Bitcoin´s NEW 2020 HIGH? on: November 13, 2020, 10:27:27 AM
I agree that this is just going so fast.

I don't think it would be that much higher than the previous ATH if that actually happens but I think we would not be reached that place for now since the value is just appreciating so fast. A correction might happen in the next days or maybe in the next weeks? I never thought that it would be this fast after the news about a company and a platform accepting Bitcoin.
