I seen few sharks in the gambling forum with something like this "names like Stunna and Dooglus", There are as well some like operators of big exchanges like coinbase and circle "with whole teams getting paid for doing BTC-related jobs", as well as 1 or 2 employee's in smaller exchanges.
442  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you still believe in bitcoin on: September 05, 2016, 04:28:02 PM
I am already here for around half a year and I believe in bitcoin the same as when I first understood how great of a system it is, I think it and the blockchain system can change the shape of our economy as a whole, I have no reason to stop believing in it now.
443  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you do with your btc? on: September 05, 2016, 04:25:50 PM
Hold it and wait for a price improvement as well as day trading it against USD mostly and sometimes with an against other cryptocurrencies, also sometimes I buy stuff online "nothing illegal though", I also use it as a payment system in my little new faucet..
444  Other / Off-topic / Re: what you like best in Bitcoin ? on: September 05, 2016, 04:23:50 PM
I like the fact it's an open network, Where everyone can conduct transactions of any size with anyone without restrictions or limitations like with the traditional payment methods, I also like the speed of sending "instant" with no exceptions.
445  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can i promote referral links? on: September 05, 2016, 04:15:42 PM
You can promote these in your signature, You just need to reach at least the rank of Jr.member to have a click-able link, You can't post any referral links in the forum itself as far as I know "check the forum rules sticky".

447  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How signature campaign actually works? on: September 05, 2016, 04:08:16 PM
I guess it's a little bit early for you and you shouldn't be putting it as your sole purpose from your start with bitcoins, Anyway it's really simple, The site running the campaign want better publicity and therefore buying your signature:
-You are either paid by post or a fixed rate "depending on campaign"
-You are paid depending on your rank "Mostly at least Jr.member".
If you have a specific question, just mention it. There are plenty of topics about signature campaigns anyway.
448  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many bitcoin wallets do you have and why ? on: September 05, 2016, 04:05:14 PM
Nah I don't think you need more than one wallet "specially in you case, a newbie", Just download a good wallet "the original if you can handle it or Multibit/Electrum if you can't", People using more than one wallet are mostly doing so because they are enough skilled and it's more convenient to them "Armory being more secure, Electrum fast etc...".
449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who are the richest Bitcoin users and how much do they own? on: September 05, 2016, 04:02:41 PM
I know Satoshi is claimed to possess 1.1 million BTC (which would be an insane amount)

But who are the other really large holders and how much do they own? Roger Ver? Gavin Andresen?
I remember someone claiming that Ver owns about 300.000 BTC, is there any place where this is confirmed?

I have checked http://www.bitcoinrichlist.com but they only show adresses and we cant know with certainty which of those are connected.

Are there any confirmed large holders, who openly talk about the amount they possess?
There are just few who are talking openly about there bitcoin holds, I recall theymos opened a thread selling some of his personal coins "and changed his mind" and it was around 1000 BTC. Some members like dooglus seem to have quite a sum but not sure about the exact amount if they ever mention it clearly though.
450  Other / Off-topic / Re: du you spend coins on real life. on: September 05, 2016, 03:59:59 PM
I occasionally complete deals on forums, I once had a physical peer to peer exchange between cash and BTC, but haven't physically spent it yet probably because there aren't any stores accepting it here and even if there was, I would like to see the manager trying to explain it to cashiers or employee's if they don't know about BTC as well.
451  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to motivate women to use Bitcoin? on: September 05, 2016, 03:58:12 PM
The trick would be to motivate the general population as a whole to get more involved with bitcoin, and in that case women would also be interested in it, it's a little harder than males because they are the primary users of the internet while females are not that much into it "and bitcoin can't exist in someone mind without the internet obviously.
452  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcointalk is a good way to get information about Bitcoins? on: September 05, 2016, 03:56:30 PM
I guess its's an excellent way rather than just good, in the beginning I didn't know what a bitcoin address is, Now after around a year I can easily engage in a conversation regarding brain wallets or any intimate topic and make decent comments, one of the best bitcoin panels out there.
453  Other / Off-topic / Re: If Bitcoin price would fall to the bottom, what would you do next? on: September 05, 2016, 03:52:49 PM
I would be buying a bunch of them if I deem the fall in price without reason, if it's just the buy-sell hassle then buying a bunch of cheap BTC's and wait for BTC to recover, if it's something fundamental "which I highly doubt" then I would just keep looking and waiting for it to improve.
454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Make bitcoin?impossible? on: September 05, 2016, 03:51:14 PM
There are allot of complicated terms about "fork" if that what you mean, You generally can't let that pass under the bitcoin network and the best thing that could be done to fraud the network is double-transactions but these never confirm, Therefore you can't cheat the network directly as far as I know.
455  Other / Off-topic / Re: bitcoin affects life a lot on: September 05, 2016, 03:48:36 PM
huh, That's not so bad IMO, of course you should maintain a decent degree of real-life and social activities but getting to know and learn more about bitcoins can never be bad, it's probably just a hobby that can be quite profitable and give you a better view of the world imo.
456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If no one spends bitcoin what might happen? on: September 05, 2016, 03:46:57 PM
I doubt that is happening right now if it didn't happen before, Now there are established businesses and sites using BTC and therefore BTC is prone to be spent, Before early 2011 and 2010 that might have been a real issue, since there where practically few places where you could spend BTC.
457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is big problem in using of bitcoin on: September 05, 2016, 03:40:50 PM
Nothing actually, I wouldn't be here if I think the system is flawed in anyway, I don't like it when Bitcoins is used for things that considered illegal in all aspects but I think that's not the fault of BTC, I also sometimes want a "dispute/complaint" button, But you just get used to escrow.
458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: September 05, 2016, 03:37:52 PM
Bitcoin has the potential to change how economy works, How we deal and use money, but I'm not sure about the bank system. I think it has advantages itself in funding the smaller merchants and giving relatively hassle-free interest to the depositor, I think there may be bitcoin banks in the future although that might affect the decentralization part of bitcoin.
459  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why would customers use Bitcoins? on: September 05, 2016, 03:34:59 PM
You pay more overall if you use a CC IMO, you pay interest, fees, annual taxes and your privacy is nil, you pay 3 cents per transaction "voluntarily" and get a hassle-free no restrictions transaction, and there are no hidden or additional fees plus a decent degree of privacy "even if it's not absolute".
460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: September 05, 2016, 03:32:47 PM
Bitcoin is a currency and an exchange system, it wouldn't help poor countries directly (although there are plenty of charity works taking BTC) but it might help the residents and those living in poor countries in getting money and sending it. Therefore indirectly helping there countries.
