One question, I don't know if it has been answered,
Would the mechanism of prediction be similar to that of Augur?
Do you have to buy share in prediction to gain profit? Do users have to invest to predict the outcome?
It is somewhat similar in concept, but the implementation is much different. While in Augur the reporters will be loosing REP's in case they don't report or change their report in the middle of process, we specifically designed WINGS to avoid any loss of tokens. The way WINGS works is that anyone that has WINGS can make a forecast of how much a project will raise in funds, and also what are the chances of achieving predefined milestones (we will add more variables later but starting with this simplified model). That allows people to use crowd-sourced data to value a project, as well as perform risk assessment of achieving milestones, again based on crowd intelligence. Participants who make forecasts then earn a portion of the fee that a project pays to the DAO. This portion set according to how close they are to the result (say I forecasted that wings would raise 2500 btc and it raised 2500 btc), their historical Forecast Rating (FR) and the amount of WINGS tokens they hold. Their FR also increases and decreases following how close they were to the right answer. Will the project deliver the new self-driving car in milestone 1? Will the car fly to the moon to unlock milestone 2? Over time the people who are better at this get rewarded. But the bigger consequence of this is that over time anyone participating on a project that has not launched with WINGS is operating with a lot more risk. By reducing the participation risk, we open the gates to a lot more people participating in funding projects who aren't professional crypto enthusiasts living breathing crypto for breakfast, lunch and dinner. |

I think Wings team get some basic things wrong, No signature campaign during ICO funding, using the term donation instead of investment and keep referring to the way Ethereum did their own ICO, there is no two similar projects and people have been scammed and want to protect their investment first before anything
I guess you are a little bit misinformed or did not have time to read the OP . Signature campaign was done in pre-ICO . 4 months running. I think what he is saying is that why do a pre-ico campaign and decided not to do any during the campaign. How many wings signature badge have you seen on this forum recently compare to Chronobank signature that flood every thread you visit now Yeah, that was a bad decision. Maybe, they thought people won't remove their signatures in ico period due to referral system. Wings appears to be more promising than chronobank for short term. But when chronobank launches fully in 3 years it can provide higher profits. i was going to run it at first, but then someone pointed out that after running the sig campaign for 5 months, practically anyone who would have clicked and signed up would have done it already, and we have them in our database. regarding profits.... who is more profitable in the world today? VC's and investment bankers? Or guys running staff outsourcing services? |

Got very little for signature campaign, based on exchange 1 egg = 2 wings. I did not know it would be on end of fundraising.
It is around 1 egg =1.85 wings at this time (if all eggs are converted). Many are trying to get eggs. There are some translators who would be getting more eggs. But I expect that it would end up being greater than 2 wings/ egg . Many of Bounty hunters would would forget to exchange eggs to wings. The Bounty hunters who aren't active on Bitcointalk may forget about it. The email of wings was automatically sent to promotions label in my Gmail. I check out promotion rarely in my Gmail. I think there would be many more like me. However, I know about it because I'm active on Bitcointalk. Yes we think it will be higher than this, but that is the worst case scenario. Right now only about 200k eggs have been sent into fly.wings.ai I'm going to do an email tomorrow highlighting things from last week, so I'm sure that will add some wave of people. |

[/quote] as far as I know our families and friends don't know much about crypto. i keep on trying to get my mother to buy some bitcoin but she get frustrated just by learning how to store a private key! we've got translations of the blog consistently in about 8 languages, and there was a lot of eggs given out for twitter follow, facebook like, newsletter sign ups, signatures, twitter retweet, twitter likes, making an online course, etc. Over 6 months that stuff all adds up. Just to give you an idea I think we were around 450k eggs in August. Just doing the announcement or white paper translations got people a few thousand EGGS each, you can see there are probably 25+ translations of the announcement, which alone accounts for about 5-10% of the 800k. |

Most likely not until the ICO is over. As each egg is a share in the 1.5m wings and not a fixed amount, we wont know until eveyone they know how many eggs needs to be converted. Of course they could add an estimate, either based on the total number of eggs, or the number of eggs converted so far (like they do with the other coins). just FYI there are about 800,000 eggs that have been awarded over the last 6 months so assuming everyone turns theirs in then it is about a 2:1 ratio. however note that people are still doing translations of the website, whitepaper, and so on. As well as a few doing articles or videos. For translations it is 125 Eggs per 500 words (rounded up). 300 Eggs for articles (must be published on a legit blog or news site; steemit is okay as long as the quality is good and it is not some copy/paste job). 100 Eggs for videos (youtube, etc) - apparently the Russian community loves making explainer videos, would love to see that in some other languages. whether the bounty program for blog is still open sir?? yes you can continue to translate but all claims will need to be submitted by January 4th to allow for enough time for review |
