441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to resolve gambling related wallet issues on: June 12, 2024, 02:32:16 PM
If you are already blacklisted then there is nothing to do about it, appeal to the website and see if they consider, essentially at their mercy.

If you are only starting out, then I suggest using a personal wallet as an intermediate stop for your coins before depositing them on the exchange.
One can also try using different exchanges that have a laxity in the source of funds. If this is the only exchange that your local country people use then you are out of luck.

Address hopping like someone else mentioned, seems to be the best method as of now.
442  Local / India / Re: Election results and impact on crypto policies in India on: June 11, 2024, 02:16:19 PM
Lol, sad to see your excitement ruining. Even I thought there would be a change in ministers but it seems that Modi wants to stick to the existing ones.
Either is too lazy to make a change or may be he already has a plan in place for the upcoming few years.
I am telling you all, they have a plan in place to continue running things like they were and nothing much is going to change. I have to file my taxes now and the humungous amount of tax that I have accrued over the last one years makes me wonder what all I could have saved if I did not have to pay them.

On the contrary, local shops dont give our receipts and downplay their taxes and get full pardon from the government, a system I can never understand why the authorities dont want to change.

Also seeing @Bitcoin Smith with a new signature made my day. Put some centering and coloring codes on them. Dont walk around naked mate. Cheesy
443  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which Casino and Sportsbook have the best UI? Which others can improve? on: June 11, 2024, 02:07:34 PM
The more UI elements you bring in the more clunky it becomes and more CPU use on the client side. Thus the UI should be just enough to keep the gamblers addicted to the colours and sounds while also allowing ease of operation and play.

You build the site for the players to start playing quickly and lose their money so the colour of the deposit button is important while withdraw button is not Grin

But jokes aside, some of the sites have overdone the UI and have eventually shaved it down after complaints. Now most of them just look like copycats of one another. Roll Eyes
444  Other / Off-topic / Re: Land Based Casinos in the Digital Age on: June 11, 2024, 02:04:29 PM
If traditional land based casinos don’t upgrade themselves, then the time will come when people will stop using them, and lots of people will divert to online casinos.
A hybrid mode of casino operation does sound tempting for the gamblers and is possibly the most future-proof method for any land based casino to continue their legacy in competing with the online casinos mushrooming everywhere on the internet.

Still land based casinos have their own elegance and indeed are tourist sites if visited. Again this touristy visits do not bring in good income for the casino itself and hence the regular users are the bread and butter.

To keep that group intact, a hybrid mode may be a step forward.
445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you successfully influenced someone to invest in bitcoin ? on: June 11, 2024, 02:00:38 PM
Actually I'm always scared of introducing my friends to this crypto investment reason is because most of them are not educated enough to read and understand how the market works, I'm always scared because they can go with it the wrong way and if anything should happen to their money I will be hold responsible. that is why I always avoid them, not everyone who can bare the risk mostly when it has to do with money they're always careful.
Most of us are scared when it comes to introducing others to bitcoin, you might get mocked by that group or they will be a A-hole and call you responsible when they lose money.

That is why I only tell others about crypto if they are interested to know about it with disclosure that it is a risky asset class to dive into. If the impulse for knowing about something comes from the opposite side, that is the best time to teach someone about that thing.

Still this problem will exist in future too because who wants to invest in something that cannot be felt or seen, they think its a scam in the first place, even though the price is high now.
446  Economy / Speculation / Re: The BTC stability on: June 10, 2024, 09:43:49 AM
People talk about whatever they feel like because free speech everywhere.

No it would be foolish to get money from or into your inheritance. Invest in Bitcoin this life and don't think about what you will keep for your next generation. Similarly inheriting it and it's legal implications we are not clear on this area, so better to avoid for now.

Although Bitcoin is a money for the future and we are hopeful and bullish about it, never go all in on one asset.
447  Economy / Economics / Re: Money addiction on: June 10, 2024, 09:40:18 AM
Matching the status to get cars, drink alcohol and rich food might be one reason why some are addicted to making money but you can leave out the first and still be frugal about spending.

The people who aim for a higher state of living should also be able to earn that big and not just dream otherwise they go for unfair means to make money which is bad

However savings and control over spending can save a good amount too. This is what most people find difficult to achieve.
448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you lost the money that you where supposed to withdraw from online casino? on: June 10, 2024, 09:32:54 AM
The site did not make you lose the money, you did so by playing again which was preventable. There are often examples of such mistakes committed by the experiences of gamblers. If you are in a net win situation even after these losses then good for you.

If you are not, then consider controlling your urgent to gamble because it was this difficulty that you faced which you could not overcome and thus the loss.

Being able to control the urge is important here and if you are able to do that, you will find yourself being able to control the gambling habit better.
449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What about low odds in sports betting? on: June 10, 2024, 09:29:22 AM
Your multiplier will be low in these cases. Like close to 1.1x and thus if you manage to get a big number of such wins you might be able to amass a good amount of money if and only if your capital is also big, like say 1btc on 10 such bets. You will end up with 11BTC or more In this example.

But this is risky because a single loss will reduce your capital by a significant amount.

Hence I will not agree that the method is 100% accurate, but risky indeed

451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many Bitcoins do you own or have you collected until now? on: June 09, 2024, 08:59:17 AM
Nobody is foolish enough to answer this question honestly. Grin

Those who had collected coins back when bitcoin was in three digits have mostly sold and moved on but only being bitter at their past choices now if they are alive and kicking.

Much of the next generation is contemplating whether the buy or not buy. My take is to keep buying whenever the opportunity strikes and keep increasing that number but dont tell anyone about it.
452  Local / India / Re: Election results and impact on crypto policies in India on: June 09, 2024, 08:56:20 AM
The swearing ceremony will happen today and a lot of new face will get ministries. I am eager to see who gets the FM and IT ministry?
They will all be pawns of the current government. Either way whether we see improvements in crypto taxation system or exchanges being accepted as mainstream, remains a mystery for now which only time can demystify.

Keep your fingers crossed and continue to stack your coins on top of one another as bitcoin keeps rising.
453  Other / Meta / Re: Merit sources can join casino campaigns, it's a choice on: June 09, 2024, 08:45:31 AM
Being a regular in the Gambling sections, the quality of posts there is less as compared to other sections because most casino campaigns have a weekly specific quota for Gambling posts and thus we see churning out of similar posts and rehashed content in different ways of speaking.

Still I try to merit some of the posts that have some quality in them or actually discusses something that is on topic. But chances are low of me going to a thread and reading the 5*10 pages of replies and finding one post worth giving a merit to.
454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you really want from gambling? on: June 09, 2024, 08:40:15 AM
My main goal from gambling games is to be a part of the casino and earn from the players not waste money on their games. Its like the sly fox who works in the back. This can be in the form on investing and affiliate marketing, both of which I have tried in the past and the first one has been very successful for myself without much effort from my side.

Hence my goal from gambling is pretty much complete but it will run for long as I can sustain or the casino can sustain and I will also try to increase my portfolio of investments on other casinos in the future.
455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling increases computer education. on: June 09, 2024, 08:37:47 AM
In other words computer usage than education. That is at least something as compared to zero computer knowledge among the older population which is common even in today's world with the increasing number of tech-related scams that proliferate in many countries.

Although being able to use a computer might provoke that person to learn more about computers and eventually this might have even better outcomes than gambling only.

The first cyber cafes that existed in many countries meant that people would visit them for getting articles from the net or play games or some other stuff (ahem, ahem Grin). Same thing can be compared to this older generation in this manner.
456  Economy / Gambling / Re: How high is the probability of accusations vs. casinos in BitcoinTalk are true? on: June 09, 2024, 08:30:23 AM
I have seen scam accusations with dozens of replies, where only a handful are helpful where people are actually trying to figure out what happened and suggest ways to solve the case.
In most cases so many replies are not required. If the problems seems easily solvable by some common methods, and those have been tried, we as ignorant by standers can only contact the casino representatives on the forum and politely ask them to review the stuff posted in the thread and help the fellow user out.

Adding more replies only drowns the relevant ones in a cesspool and makes it harder for someone to read through and work it out.
457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't you think you should invest in Bitcoin instead of burning your money in fire on: June 09, 2024, 07:38:57 AM
People who are addicted to cigarettes get comfort when they smoke, they don't care if they burn money, but for those who don't smoke, they think that smokers are just wasting money because they don't know the pleasure of smoking, so in situations like this, don't blame each other, it's true that smoking is not a good thing, but don't immediately blame the person because in reality smokers also have the desire that one day they will stop smoking.
They are spending their money on buying something that is giving them temporary pleasure aka a Dopamine rush which is making them addicted to that same substance and also increasing the risk of many diseases to come in their future life.

What else you need to rebut your own claim? It is nothing "good" but all bad and the worse thing is that the companies that make these products never try to move their business to something else but to gimmicks that appear as safe, like e-cig which is even worse.

Protecting the next generations from these products is what every parent must go through. It is much better and easier to buy bitcoin with that or invest that money in any other place.
458  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Thai SEC approves first Bitcoin fund on: June 08, 2024, 10:03:41 AM
It is always a welcome news to hear about a bitcoin ETF getting approved, more attention means more price and gradual public interest in bitcoin as they keep buying it.

As per this website,

The average Thai individal earns about 2705$ while the maximum salary is 12041$ which makes the population rich enough to afford buying bitcoin ETFs.

Although I expect the Thai people to be investing in bitcoin directly more than buying ETFs.

I hope to pay in Bitcoin next time I visit honey 2  Tongue
Mate you are one horndog there. I wish you all the best! Grin
459  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's use the cryptocurrencies and blockchain techology for good idea on: June 08, 2024, 09:55:59 AM
The question is whether the holders of that "memecoin" or "token" have any rights?
Do they imply ownership of the company to some extent?
Do they impart voting rights to the owners?

These questions have remained dubious since the start of ICO days. On the contrary IPO launched stocks will all have these properties.

You have to promise something to the buyers to be able to sell your idea to them and then use the money to develop that vision. It is not that simple as we speak of it.

Donations are different, here the donator does not have any connection to the project after the money has been sent, the project owner can use it any way they want.

All these have legal bindings in them when it comes to the Wall street and stock markets, this is lacking in crypto's so called ICOs, one of the reasons why they all turned scam or bankrupt eventually.
