441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | Nxt | Blockchain Platform | Proof of Stake | Official on: April 29, 2018, 03:04:56 AM
Nxt community, hello and good evening from the Burst community. I am here to ask if there are some old NXT members left who has a good reputation and know the history of NXT and Burst.

I want to ask them this question.

With Burst being a fork of NXT, what are your opinions on its roadmap and technical direction by creating the ability to have a layer off the chain called the Dymaxion?

Dymaxion whitepaper in case you want to read it. https://dymaxion.burst.cryptoguru.org/The-Burst-Dymaxion-1.00.pdf

Our community needs some support, and with a larger community like yours, maybe you can give us a hand. Ty.
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Announcing the PoC Consortium Stage 2: The Burst Dymaxion on: April 29, 2018, 02:40:57 AM
Hi rico666, I have another question that begs an answer.

Some people in the community are maybe under the impression that the PoCC has contacted the exchanges about Burst's pending hard fork. If you already did, then did the exchanges express support for the hard fork and will we be expecting an announcement from them soon? Just double checking lol.

With that said, I saw Bittrex's announcements and support on Syscoin's blockchain 3.0 hard fork and Tron's mainnet launch coin conversion. I am assuming that they will do an announcement about Burst if they support the hard fork.
443  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin in developing countries on: April 28, 2018, 04:41:41 AM
at present, bitcoin is becoming known to people around the world, especially in developing countries. the majority of bitcoin is introduced through news on television and on the internet. Therefore people are starting to want to know what bitcoin is and if it appeals to them, they will invest instead?
Well the government should not be silent on bitcoin, they think bitcoin is disrupting economic stability and there will be inflation in the country.
Do you think that bitcoin will disrupt economic stability and there will be inflation due to bitcoin in a country?

Be honest with yourself. Bitcoin will not be used by people in developing countries in a manner that will move their lives forward by developing tools for it. Its the way it has always been. All they will do with it is buy and hold as an investment, which they should because the price might go higher. But it will not disrupt economic stability if it is being used that way.

I dont think you know what inflation means. Explain why BTC can cause inflation in a country.
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can someone lead me to the progress in MEW dns issues? on: April 28, 2018, 04:29:21 AM
I thought this was Google's fault? The problem was on the DNS server and not on MEW. There was literally nothing they could do to avoid this attack.

Actually, they always warned everyone to always check for the SSL green text before the url (even before you access your wallet, there is a small tutorial that says the same thing). And if people followed their instructions, nothing would have happened to their coins. Or even better: download and run MEW locally. Bam! No way someone can DNS redirect you to a fake website.

Everything should be ok now.

Yeah the problem is not in MEW's code but the DNS servers. Besides running it locally, you can also use a hardware wallet and use MEW to access your ETH or ETC wallets. Your private keys stay in your hardware wallet and are always safe, but remember to confirm the address you are sending to in your hardware wallet's screen and MEW are the same.

Stedsm, you should take some time reading about the facts. MEW is still a good wallet.
445  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Great New Trading Course on: April 28, 2018, 04:12:31 AM
"Trading courses", whether in book form or instructionals are usually scams. Why would a profitable trader sell his secrets and tech it to the public?

The course will be nothing but a basic introduction followed by an intermediary course in technical analysis that you can have for free from the internet lol.
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Burstcoin [BURST] Price Speculation on: April 28, 2018, 03:26:21 AM

90% of nodes are for the PoCC's plans and so are most of the miners. The update to PoC2 and dynamic nodes will happen through a hard fork without creating a "Burst Classic".

mmmmmm...
ok for the hark fork, but if it will be, there will be two chains for sure.
Maybe the old one, i mean Burst Classic, will have a value near zero, but there will be for sure!

Yeah but 90% of full nodes already are supporting the hard fork, more miners are supporting the hard fork and as far as the community is concerned, Bittrex, Poloniex and all the small exchanges that have Burst support the hard fork.

Its coming and no one can stop it. But if some of you dont support the Dymaxion upgrade, then you risk being left behind holding a worthless coin with no team of developers behind it. Dawallet and the rest of the old team are now part of and supporting the Proof of Capacity Consortium.
447  Economy / Marketplace / Re: A tool to avoid scammers on: April 27, 2018, 03:44:05 AM
Those persons who were listed on that site seems legit but not all, i really know that not all the crypto they introduce or they follow has a good potential since we cannot prove it just by believing but the most important is to check and review clearly, and not all those persons introduce crypto by free, some of them is shilling for sure but not all, That site introduces person who has great influence when it comes to crypto industry, and knows a lot. However, this can be a good guide to beginners but, always, investing must be upon our decision to take the risk. by the way, Thank you OP.

That "tool" to avoid scammers can also be used as a tool for scammers. Who is to stop the scammers from manipulating the upvotes on the site? The scammers can control the site itself by paying the owner a good sum of money.

If banks can pay the rating agencies as they did during the 2008 financial crisis, then smart scamming con artists can also easily pay the owner of the site.
448  Economy / Economics / Re: Half of Russian ICO Money Went to Pyramid Schemes in 2017 on: April 27, 2018, 03:25:16 AM
The ICO scammers used all their funds to invest in a pyramid scheme to be scammed themselves? Maybe thats really their exit scheme lol. The pyramid scheme might also be controlled by the ICO scammers too as a way to make all of us believe that they lost the funds.

449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Positive light on Cryptos on: April 27, 2018, 03:19:31 AM
i honestly don't think anybody has changed their minds about bitcoin and if you hear some CEO is saying something positive about bitcoin then they have been saying it all along. the only difference now is that the media which is basically the  crappy bitcoin news sites are now publishing the positive news more than before. just like the way they have been publishing the negative news and the FUDs when price was dropping.

Yeah, not so authentic news all around. All of it is designed to manipulate the sheeple to click and log on their websites, to view the ads and collect visitors' browsing profile to sell to advertisers.

We are the product, not the audience lol.
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Burstcoin [BURST] Price Speculation on: April 27, 2018, 03:09:41 AM
right now, i do not understand if there will be an hard fork.
i read everywhere "no hard fork" but i'm not sure.
Anyway, POC Consortium seems doing a great work!
time will tell

The will be a hard fork but the difference is it will not happen if it is a contentious hard fork. If the hard fork happens with all the miners and 85% - 90% of full nodes agreeing, then this should be considered more as an update than a hard fork.

90% of nodes are for the PoCC's plans and so are most of the miners. The update to PoC2 and dynamic nodes will happen through a hard fork without creating a "Burst Classic".
451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A case for Burst's Proof Of Capacity on: April 26, 2018, 04:45:19 AM
Are there Chinese miners running an ASIC mining farm in the forum? Its a good time to start learning more about Burst and Proof of Capacity as a more sustainable way to mine coins.

Some of you must know deeply within yourselves that mining with hard drives, with Proof of Space, Proof of Space and Time, or Proof of Capacity is the future.

452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Burstcoin [BURST] Price Speculation on: April 26, 2018, 04:23:00 AM
Burst might have already hit its floor and it might be going up from here. Does anyone who is good in charting share their thoughts? I know it still looks weak, but it is also showing the signs that the selling has stopped and some build up is already starting.

unfortunately, i this market, i mean the cryptocoin market, it is not adeguate to do charting, if for charting you are meaning technical analysis.
The volume is too low.
Maybe could be ok on BTC or ETH, but not in other alt coins.

Totally agree, who the hell is still doing technical analysis on this kind of market when there are not hundreds thousands of dollars worth of volume? Came on guys, dont be so dumb.. Burst is a good coin, but it still need some time to provide a huge return.

Ok then what trading strategy is the best to use? Buy low and keep holding until it is BTC.0001 per Burst?

By the way, POC2 and dynamic nodes are coming maybe in the next 3 months. Pump it lol.
453  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need help looking for a VPS that accepts BTC on: April 26, 2018, 04:11:45 AM
Ty. I will check it later and see how cheap the prices are compared to the fiat only VPS. I am planning to run a node for a long time so I am trying to find the best deals that accept BTC.
Have you checked them out https://vpsserver.com/  ?
From my personal experience, they're cheap, reliable and great at customer support.Been using them for 3 months without any issues.First month is billed after you have used the VPS for a month.Overall a good service and sets-up within a few minutes.

Okay, I will try to take a look at that too. Ty. The cheaper it is with better specs, the better it is for my node. I am willing to spend only up to $25 a month for it.
454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: April 26, 2018, 04:07:52 AM
hi,dev, i have change the nexdefault.propertity, other computer still can't connect to the wallet, is it the same as i just open each wallet and just change each wallet's ip ?

There are developers always online in /r/burstcoin on Reddit. Be specific with your problem and what you are attempting to do. From your post I assume you are trying to access your node from a local area network?
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: April 25, 2018, 03:37:19 AM
Does anyone know how long it usually takes to download the block chain with the new burst wallet update ?

A legendary member loke you should already know that it will depend on how fast your internet is, unless this is one of those hacked or sold accounts that more and more people in the forum are complaining about.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Burst weekly report! The future is bright! on: April 25, 2018, 03:34:04 AM
The symptoms of a price burst, pun intended lol, are falling into place. Increased mining capacity, increasing number of nodes, increasing members in the community and from the weekend's hackathon, meet up and planned future conferences will take place.

Good update Vermalen. Ty for taking the time and helping me.
457  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need help looking for a VPS that accepts BTC on: April 25, 2018, 03:26:46 AM
I've been using Vultr[1] for more than a year with zero problems whatsoever. Check it out.

[1] https://vultr.com/

This. I've been also using Vultr for almost 4 months now without any issues or hiccups. Price is quite competitive depending on the specs that you'll gonna get and in that 4 months of usage, I've never experienced any downtime from them. They will also email you 7 days before your contract expires with them so you'll have enough time to settle your bill.

Ty. I will check it later and see how cheap the prices are compared to the fiat only VPS. I am planning to run a node for a long time so I am trying to find the best deals that accept BTC.
458  Economy / Service Discussion / Need help looking for a VPS that accepts BTC on: April 23, 2018, 03:16:59 AM
I am looking for an affordable VPS to run a Burst node. My two choices are Digital Ocean and Linode but they dont accept BTC. I saw a site with a list of BTC accepting VPS but I dont know if they are trustworthy.

Can anyone help? Ty.
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: We as a community must boycott Coinmarketcap.com on: April 23, 2018, 03:10:11 AM
This is nothing more than a smear campaign from Coinmarketcap's competitors until there proof that those accusations have happened or are happening. Why dont the accusers declare their identities in public and own up to the libel charges if they are proven wrong.
460  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency Career Opportunities - Especially With Markets Being Down on: April 23, 2018, 02:54:17 AM
Another important fact to know is, as a developer, you should choose a project that would enhance your resumé, not smear it. For example if you worked on Bitconneeeect, that would be one embarassing information to put in there. If you dont include it, you risk your employer finding out during the background check.
