Dogecoin rules  I have a question about the mining, is it better to mine with GPU or CPU? and is it worth mining? I mined for a few minutes until my video card got at around 65 C, only got 1 share  is that even worth anything, how long does it take to get a block? and is it better so solo mine or in a pool? GPU is the way to go using cgminer. What video card do you have? 65 o is fine. Cards can go 80 o+ with no problem. Mine in a pool, don't worry about getting blocks just shares and yes you can still make DOGE. |

You need to tell CGminer to use scrypt like this: That should get you going. What video card do you have? You can get more hashes by tuning it. As for the work restart, don't worry about that. Watch the top right in cgminer for something like this: A:2231 R:53 HW:0 WU:291.1/m The A is shares accepted and the r is rejected shares. As long as you see the A# go up your in good shape. ive got a vtx3d 7870 black (tahiti LE) thanks for your help. its saying the same as before but now has messages like this. Accepted 0caed0fc Diff 20/19 GPU 0 A:178 R:17 HW:0 WU:13.9/m only thing is gpu doesnt seem to be kicking in getting less hashes then i did with the cpu, only 16.19k/14.40.  I have a MSI 7870 too. Here's my settings and getting about 300Khs and a lot of accepted shares there right now. cgminer --scrypt -o http://altpool.pw:19348 -u xxxxxx -p xxxxxxx --worksize 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 -g 2 --intensity 12 -Q 0 You may have to adjust your gpu clock and memory up a bit. Just watch the heat. 7870's run a lot cooler than the 7850 I using at the moment. EDIT: You may have to log off and back on or restart your computer. I don't know why, but for some reason cgminer really slows down after restarting it a few times with P2Pool nodes. Mine does the same thing. |

i can mine with cpuminer but can never get cgminer to work. is anyone here using a cgminer.
What does your cgminer.conf or .bat file look like? this is what i have for cpumining minerd --algo scrypt -s 5 -o altpool.pw:19348 -u DSNJ49NdZM4KjLHfPSYEGWKRn7wSC4bWqi -p x to get cgminer to run i changed it to this cgminer -o http://altpool.pw:19348/ -u DSNJ49NdZM4KjLHfPSYEGWKRn7wSC4bWqi -p x tried 3 different versions of cgminer keeps saying stratum from pool 0 requested work restart? - pool 0 difficulty changed to.
