Bitcoin Design (Units and Symbols)Satoshi (unit). It has a table of some proposed symbols but I don't like any of them. sat is like a under capitalized version of SAT ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) 丰 Reminiscent of the Japanese aesthetic, the closest character being 丰 meaning: "Bountiful - abundant, lush, bountiful, plenty, luxurious growth of grass" which suggests a vast amount of Satoshi are still left to mine. This symbol has been adopted by multiple Bitcoin services including satoshilabs.com (Trezor), SatoshiCap.net, pricedinbitcoin21.com, Thunderhub.io, bitcoinicons.com, thebitcoinmachines.com, and many more
里 In Japanese names, this character can (rarely) be read "satoshi". It is an uncommon Chinese/Japanese character on its own, and an infrequent radical (kangxi #166). It can be seen as a radical in the common kanji 理 and 量, used in meaningful words like 理想 (ideals), 理論 (theory), 理性 (reason), 理科 (science), and 量 (quantity). "Satoshi" is a rare reading; more commonly it is read as "ri" or "sato".
シ A Japanese katakana representing the syllable "shi". Note that this character is extremely common in Japanese, so it could cause confusion. Also, it can mean "death" in Japanese and Chinese.
㋛ As above, but circled to distinguish it from the katakana.
し As above, but this is the hiragana instead of the katakana. This is even more common than シ in Japanese writing, however.
サ A Japanese katakana represents the syllable "sa". Maybe it looks more reminiscent of a currency symbol than others. Note that this character is extremely common in Japanese, so it could cause confusion.
Haha interestind topic. Not a fan of most of the proposals, but maybe it just needs getting used to. I agree with Flexystar - a completely new symbol seems more appropriate than something lended from the Japanese language. These symbols are just too funny, though: ㋛ シ

I was like "1k for a goldcoin, that's crazy cheap", but it's actually gold plated silver. For one of the rarest (and most beautiful) Lealana pieces this seems more than reasonable, though. Can only go up from there. [...] I started looking for them after I noticed the hologram has a Monero logo on it which seemed odd for a Bitcoin coin. [...]
Indeed, what's up with this Monero logo on that coin's hologram? Quite confusing and out-of-theme.

[...] This can be done using invoice expires for a specific time, as the routing node allows for delayed payment as long as the validity of that invoice continues. This service can be for users who frequent the store or know them personally. Cheap, offline(!), DIY bitcoin lightning-network PoS https://github.com/arcbtc/LNURLPoSThat's a pretty slick creation right there. Amazing what is available if you know where to look. Any real-life experience with this LN-PoS system? Did a quick search for a bitcointalk thread but didn't find anything.

Really cool looking stickers. Missed ordering some. :s Given the fact they allow re-printing by yourself I wonder if there is a way to discern the original Greenpeace stickers from custom prints? See:

What do you guys think of the Golden Triumph paintings / prints that Peter Schiff partnered with the Artist market price to do. He’s also inscribing them onto Bitcoin ordinals. I kinda feel like there might be a unique collectors desire for them with in the Crypto community. Either signifying Peters capitulation with BTC or just being singed by 2 known ppl and put into the BTC chain. Link below to site. https://www.1marketprice.com/golden WARNING - do not visit this 1marketprice website! The link provided by OP immediatelly causes a virus alert prompt! Most scanners seem to not care about the site, but I was able to replicate the warning with Seclookup and Avast.

You make a great case for Bitcoin becoming UNESCO world heritage. The cool thing about it: Compared to other artworks, buildings, cities etc that are UNESCO world heritage already, there is no concern that the blockchain may be disassembled or destroyed in any way - no matter if it is recognized by any such organizitation or not. Your English is quite good, there are some things you could work on, most prominently "psychology" - the p is silent. The way you pronounce certain words does give away your native language I believe.
I enjoyed hearing about the parallels you see in Bitcoin in comparison to other sociological phenomena. Entertaining on a high intellectual level, well done.

Is Bitcoin the final form for humanity? Decentralization has long been dreamed by all different social models, is there another step to be taken? Can humanity (humans) learn to hang on and manage their finances? Or is Bitcoin an experiment to show that we're not capable of managing our own belongings and do require central authority?
If I understand your question correctly, you wonder if the idea of Bitcoin may be doomed to fail, because humanity could continue to require centralized authorities. I don't think that's the case. There is still a chance, decentralized solutions will fail. The reason being, those in control are not willing to give up their power. The next years and decades will be full of turmoil, old-power-structures vs new-freedom-seeking individuals. Who will prevail I don't know. But one thing is for sure, we do not require central authority, especially in regards of sound money. Maybe there will be a long phase of transition, where some central authorities are inevitable. But at some point of technological and educational development they will become obsolete. Although Bitcoin's technology may be a century too early for that, yes.

This is not the first time bitcoin is experiencing price drop, it only needs few time; months or years to correct and hit another ATH. Few years back many investors took the loss and cashed out their money, believing that bitcoin settled for lesser price. Don't be in such a hurry to move out your investment; bitcoin is falling in price so that it can rise up again. Below is a tweet of a bitcoin investor 12 years ago, that should encourage people to hodl and hope for the best in the market. I know some will never sell, when it hits a high price, but for profits purposes there's no gain in withdrawing an investment now that the price is below or slightly above the amount you bought in the market. Unless you depend on the funds for survival or for other important dispute, keep holding on. Tom only had to wait for 6 years to meet the 2017 pump; a long time indeed! Isn't the wait worth it? ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fpbs.twimg.com%2Fmedia%2FFyqGCTdWwAE-GUp%3Fformat%3Djpg%26name%3Dsmall&t=663&c=twEoGgzazTbDYQ) Photo @RizzoOne image can speak louder than 1000 words. (even though this image contains words) I really enjoy your reference. I guess millions of people have "suffered" from similar thinking and actions. It's generally the same story: - you are in Bitcoin for quick gains and get cold hands as soon as things don't pan out the way you imagined. Because you don't understand the tech, you are likely to become a victim of buy-high-sell-low-action. - you came here because you swallowed the orange pill. You are intrigued by the technology, you are intrigued by how the fiat world used to fool you and by how Bitcoin can help us overcome the dependency on central institutions, including banks and governments. You will hodl and stay relaxed when Bitcoin drops by 66% for the second time within a year. To sum things up, try to get really educated about Bitcoin. Education is key to not lose your money because of stupid, uninformed decision-making.

UPDATE: Releases Blue Wallet Version 6.4.5Blue Wallet official download link: App Store | Google Play
7 May 2023, Blue Wallet released version 6.4.4 and on 12 June or two days ago, Blue Wallet again released the latest version from version 6.4.4 to version 6.4.5 which was announced by @marcosrdz on github.com. On version 6.4.5. Blue Wallet added support multiple accounts from Keystone hw wallet and fixed about 5 items as I quote below. - ADD: support multiple accounts from Keystone hw wallet (closes #5281) - FIX: un-cache refill onchain addresses on cold start. - FIX: sync ar-SA, it, sv, ar, fa, he, id, jp, sv_se and ua languages - FIX: fix errors in RU language - FIX: wallet->receive->qr share as an image - FIX: Watch complication name was "BlueWallet" - DEL: rectangular accessory from iOS widgets - REF: electrum (more public servers; better batching support) I am slightly confused. Is bluewallet supporting lightning again? https://bluewallet.io/sunsetting-lndhub/ <- I thought they shut down their service. However their website still advertises as a "Lightning Wallet with zero configuration". See: https://bluewallet.io/lightning/

Am I wrong or Binance has left some market before and after fit some regulation they came back?
I think there is a good chance they will try and find solutions to offer their services. However it all boils down to how much licenses costs and if it is worthwile for a tiny market such as the Dutch market. They discontinued their support for privacy coins in some EU countries, including Italy, France, Germany and Netherlands - This could be a step towards fully leaving these markets, too.

Uhhh, amazing art piece, I've never noticed the wooden box before. For sure a lot of heart, work and silver (!) was poured into this project. Good luck with the sale.

Amazing coin, good luck with your sale. I guess this will find a happy new collector here soon. However if it takes longer than expected, would you consider offering it on Stacks Bowers auctions?

I found it quite funny that the United States crypto coin sold for so much when you can find many on eBay for under $100! Clearly a lot of uneducated buyers getting into the space which I guess is good overall for the market.
Yeah, mixed feelings, if the buyer finds out later on and cares much about money it could lead to negative feelings regarding crypto collectibles. My guess is these are mostly very wealthy bidders and some of them just throw a few (hundret) bucks at the "smaller" items listed while also bidding on some of the big Cas and Lealana coins, so probably no harm done. Seeing all these rare and partly unknown items on Stacks Bowers always makes me quite happy. Finally some more recognition!

This is a dangerous path. Anything that's in centralized hands but seemingly makes using lightning or any Bitcoin tech easier to use can be harmful for newbies. The email idea is appealing, but at the same time you put all your trust into a centralized entity - not worth the tradeoff at all. https://walletscrutiny.com/android/flutter.android.LifePay/ - less than 100 downloads to far and no rating. I would assume it will rate very low, though, if tested.

As much as I liked the first crypto stamp... with the 2.0 things went downhill. Quality wasn't en par (paper only) and their obvious cash-grab tactics made them become less and less attractive to me and many (crypto) stamp collectors I know. It's kind of sad to see, the initial idea was cool and with some real innovation and good designers this could have turned into an amazing yearly series. When I look at this CS 5.0 all I see is an ugly design with probably way too high of a mintage.
Agree with you....I just do not like QR codes taking up so much space on the front of the space....if only they were smaller and lees intrusive...plus of course a much better design it would help like these created by AI! https://www.creativebloq.com/news/ai-qr-codes ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.talkimg.com%2Fimages%2F2023%2F06%2F13%2FAWT15.png&t=663&c=jED7zA-Muz1U4g) These ideas/examples do look great, but are not scannable in this format. You could either extend the QR-code algorithm to allow fancy designs to be scanable - problem is, older software will not be compatible. Or you could integrate the QR code more intelligently into the full design but it would still keep its typical look. Regarding the crypto stamp from Austria: The first one was designed by an artist. Still a matter of taste of course, but from 2.0 on it was just some designer's work, missing the heart of CS1.0 - generic design combined with this massive production for such a tiny country. And imho the design got even worse after that. The Lichtenstein and Swiss CS at least had some good looks to them in comparison. Just my personal taste, though.

Bits is good but to honor Satoshi Nakamoto I think we should stick to Satoshi's....thats just my two Satoshi on the subject ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) I am also so used to using SATs that it would confuse the heck out of me to go back to Bits. you can have both. 1 sat is .00000001 BTC and 1 bit is .00000100 BTC Yeah...I have used both Sats and also Bits on my loaded items...but I think I prefer Sats as that is what I use to conduct certain transactions. Yes, agree with you on that. I think Moonbits used "bits" as a reference to the BTCC chips. My own mind definetely works in sats and 1.0000000 BTC, not in bits, though. If Bitcoin ever reaches the masses, maybe the official term for the lower denominations may change. I will always refer to the (currently) smallest unit as Satoshi or sat. It's unique and shows respect where respect is due. Just my 50 sats on the topic, though. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Okay, now this is intruiging. I (and I think a lot of folks) don't just have so much time on their hands to just watch all the videos. Unless you veto this, I'll first watch your final video, "the bigger picture". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxXG62R6gSwIf I enjoy it, I may schedule some time to also check out the other videos. Do you actually draw any conclusions regarding Satoshi?
