I am going to hodl from now on guys. Cant predict this price anymore. BU is screwing my mathematical calculations all over today. Rip trading, it was fun while it lasted. Huge profits but also huge losts like today. Now i only have my good old cold storage. I will dump more fiat money in it and keep hodling. Rip easy trade days.  Roll Eyes
Yes for the haters: i got rekt today like you hodlers get rekt earlier this month. But i have to go trough all the stress and switching to shitty altcoins and fiat like some crazy idiot. And for what...

Who sold at the bottom? I saw this mini dip from a mile away. Switched some coins to ethereum. Old story; bitcoin drops , ethereum pumps. Switch back, now i have some more btc and dumped my centralized ethereum token.  Smiley I am glad this trick still works.

Did I miss something?

I'll post here one last time just to give you guys warning. This is going to happen, I pretty much saw it already in my dream.

First of all, there will definitely be a fork. If I'm wrong and there is no fork, Bitcoin will lose the vast majority of its marketshare to better crypto, at that point BTC will be left in the dust, permanently, and nothing on this forum will even matter anymore.

But most likely, there will be a fork. During the ensuing chaos, and mass sell-off wars between the two sides, Bitcoin is going to drop into the double digits... this will be a great opportunity to pick up artificially incredibly cheap coins. Probably the last opportunity, ever. And the price will almost certainly shoot back upwards immediately afterwards once people realize they're a bunch of idiots, and either core or BU emerge victorious.

After the fork is done, and BU emerges the victor by killing off the minority chain, all the marketshare that has flowed into altcoins over the last 2 years will flood back into BTC like a tidal wave as people regain confidence and trust in bitcoin. BTC will shoot up like a rocket ship into the multiple thousands. Of course, this would have happened already had Core not stifled growth with the 1mb artificial blocksize limit.

So if you buy in the double digits then it goes into the multiple thousands, well, I think it goes without saying it's a great opportunity...

I'm 99% sure this is going to be how it plays out, I saw it in my dream, they do tend to come true - most of the time.

Make sure you get yourselves into position. This will be my last post here for a while, I am going to sit back and wait for events to develop. Adios.

You could be a real comrade and give us a date  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

---mad----

Firstly, I'd calm down as aneurysms aren't fun. Secondly, most of the mods in my experience don't really moderate, but just respond to reported posts. This is why it is so inconsistent. Also, "off-topic" is banned no matter how insightful, but if it is "on-topic", murder is condoned, so to speak.

(And yes, I know I'll be receiving a pm in my inbox pretty soon....)
No, at least from me you're receiving no PMs.
But thanks for taking the time anyway.

I have this crazy perspective about the Core vs. Unlimited BTC. The miners saying that their BTU will be the winner is a lot of wishfull thinking IMO. Just because they process the blocks they now somehow own the system??? They're hired help. That's why they get paid to do their job.

If we get the fork with two competing currencies, which one will be the winner? The market will decide, sure. Specifically the buyers. People giving their $$$ in exchange for BTC, not the miners. They really should take a step back and figure out they're not the bosses and they can get fired if they go too far...
I also have seen a interesting article about firing the miners. Maybe thats the final solution to make bitcoin healthy again?

Do you have the link for this article?

All these advocating for a hard fork are clueless, they have no idea how mercenary the miners are due to the amounts of money they are outlaying continuously on electricity and other costs. The profitability calculations includes chain difficulty and price.

Cut that bullshit, chinese miner! We all know how cheap it is to assemble an ASIC in china and how cheap is electricity there. Many steal power instead of paying. Go away with your disinformation!
451  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 21, 2017, 12:16:19 AM
At the end of the day, the Chinese Mining farms will put BU into action should they so decide to. Regardless of how we all feel in here either way about it. If they did create the longer chain.... hence, to keep or have just one BTC coin only, do we really have a choice at that point other than to get onboard with it? ... just thinking lol

unless of course some want 2 coins  Huh lol

I also don't think should the worst happen, it will be the end of Bitcoin either  Shocked

And here we can contemplate the voice of chinese miners!

NO, MY FRIEND!

I know you miners already started threatening and making a lot of noise, and I know you will do even more noise, but the truth is that WE ARE NOT TRADING OUR DIGNITY FOR PROFIT!
Bitcoin is far more an investment, a currency or whatever. Bitcoin is FREEDOM.

WE ARE NOT TAKING IT FROM CHINA! You can fork, you can have all your Buttcoin ruled by the greedy miners, this just WILL NOT BE OUR CURRENCY!

I prefer seeing Bitcoins Market Cap falling to less than 1 billion (that will never happen anymore, just saying) than having it in hands of people worse than my government.
452  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 20, 2017, 11:55:21 PM
You are literally complaining that bitcoin is so successful than people other than internet nerds are becoming interested. This is Good News™.

Are you the new worst commenter on the forum?  The entire point of bitcoin is "decentralization".  To mine things like gold you have to go through the government itself and get permits and also deal with entities like the EPA, yet even with all that bureaucracy, gold and silver mining is still more decentralized than bitcoin mining is.  This is not a good thing when "decentralization" is it's entire selling point.
Welcome to the real world. Other people have Agendas. This was never not going to happen.

Please make a comment that makes some type of sense.  You first said I'm "complaining that others besides internet nerds are interested in bitcoin".  LOL, they are not interested in "bitcoin", they're interested in inserting themselves as middlemen and extracting usury and seigniorage fees from you.  The exact thing that bitcoin is supposed to prevent.  If bitcoin developers themselves can't even mine the coin they develop for and have to pay tribute to some cartel, I'm not sure there is much point in this because this thing has clearly gone off the rails.

THIS!!!
I could not put in words the actual state of Bitcoin better than you did.

Quote
According to the statement – backed by Bitfinex, Bitstamp, BTCC, Bitso, Bitsquare, Bitonic, Bitbank, Coinfloor, Coincheck, itBit, QuadrigaCX, Bitt, Bittrex, Kraken, Ripio, ShapeShift, The Rock Trading and Zaif – the exchanges would list the BU asset under the BTU or XBU tickers in the event of a network split, which they collectively say "may be inevitable".

That's some really great news!
The big exchanges would list BU as an alternative asset in terms of a network split!
So even with less hashrate BTC keeps being BTC.Awesome!

Will it be possible to mine BTC with GPU again?
454  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 17, 2017, 03:44:10 AM
I have a theory why the ALL the alts pump massively just before bitcoin gets dumped (this is not the first time it has happened) and FUD attacked, bear troll shill brigade shows up etc.

The banking groups that are trying to get into cryptos are known to have large positions/interests in at least ethereum, ripple, stellar, lisk and probably others. And they are known to always be on the look-out for the latest money-laundering wheeze.

Modus operandi is this;

i) deposit dirty fiat in altcoin exchanges where regulations are low to non-existent
ii) buy up alts on altcoin exchanges (especially pump up ethereum bankster coin to undermine bitcoin's supremacy network leader position)
iii) crypto transfer alts into bitcoin (no effect on bitcoin-fiat pricing which would be counter-productive to price perception manipulations)
iv) dump bitcoin back into fiat onto regulated AML/KYC exchanges, unleash the FUDsters ... dirty fiat laundered and bitcoin trashed in fiat pricing, bankster alts pumped up artificially

current volume is $1 billion per day, works for good sized laundering quite well for them.

That's a good point. I work on the bank system and know how it works, it's not impossible. Actually it's very feasible.

$1130 is cheapest price possible, nice buying opportunity Smiley
Sorry, it's already 1119
457  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 17, 2017, 03:22:10 AM
Went from 1170 to 1132 in less than 1 hour  Shocked
Last 24 hours the selling pressure is weirdly strong.
It makes me wonder about if there's an agenda behind it.
I may be wrong, but the fact is chinese control mining. Is it possible they're dumping their stash on US and EU exchanges so we have a lot of valueless cryptomoney and they have green dollars?? A smart way for changing cheap electricity for DOLLARS. Actually it makes no sense (at least for me) to discuss hard or soft forks when it seems china is cheating on West and polluting the world as change.
They make cheap cryptomoney and we buy it for more than 1000 dollars. When it's over, what's left?
The idea behind Bitcoin is great, we could have freedom from banking system and averything, but what about this price of literally send our hard-earned money to china we are likely to pay?
Of course there was 2010/11 when we could all have bought BTC very cheap, but those market moves dropping the price $100+ in less than 24 hours scare me AF!
Is China coming at us at all?

Where's the bottom for this dip trend? Back to 3 digit?
459  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN]CONNECT-An open source P2P encrypted messaging & onchain bitcoin wallet APP on: March 16, 2017, 01:33:16 AM
You guys must be kidding. It crashes taking the avatar picture. Couldn't login since I installed. You should have performed more tests before launch it.
Actually after seeing so many flaws I started to consider the hypothesis of this app is a scam, even a ransomware.
Community should be very careful with this.
460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin #1 in Top 8 Tech Trends for 2017 on: March 14, 2017, 12:06:31 AM
Bitcoin needs a price increase more than ever, it is the only way for bitcoin to survive on the incoming dump.

Please elaborate this theory.
