441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the difference between altcoin and bitcoin ?? on: November 01, 2019, 01:54:28 AM
I am a Newbie member, and my knowledge about this is still very low
What is the difference between Bitcoin and altcoin in more detail Huh
thanks admin

There is only one Bitcoin. Only Bitcoin is Bitcoin. Anything else that is not Bitcoin or has a Bitcoin in its name but is not Bitcoin is an altcoin. That is the most basic difference. That is why they are called altcoins because they are alternative cryptocurrencies. Alternative to Bitcoin in other words. Bitcoin is used as a currency, a mode of payment that can be used instead of fiat. Altcoins have different purposes. Some are used for their own ecosystem, some are made for the sake of privacy, and some are used for gambling.
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 32 ETH for staking?! on: October 31, 2019, 11:04:02 AM
the whole purpose of this ethereum 2.0 advertising campaign is to revive the ethereum project and pump it again. so with that whole purpose they have to force people to buy more ethereum in order to be able to participate in the free money giveaway called staking. 32 seems like a good choice in my opinion to server that purpose. and  in the end it is only benefiting the whales and the super whales such as Vitalik and the ethereum foundation that own about 70 million ETH among themselves.

There is this. Ethereum is doing this for the demand of ETH to rise. The stake reward is of course attractive but since the 32 ETH requirement is asked, it will be achievable only by the rich. 32 is not that big of a deal but it is not also one which is open to everyone who is interested. But I think this is not really to revive the Ethereum Project. There is nothing to revive with Ethereum because Ethereum is working pretty well. Developments are lined up on the project.
443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UPDATE CW at conference in London WTF? SCANDAL!!! What really happened? on: October 31, 2019, 10:31:53 AM
Crazy, insane, mentally ill people become Jokers. Somehow they make it out of their asylums and wreck havok on the city, then Batman has to come out and fix it.

Joker is much much better than Craig Wright. Joker has at least created a body of fans even if he a super villain. Craig Wright on the other hand has not a single fan, only haters. Craig Wright is not joker, but he is a definite joker. And the joke is that he is serious in his jokes. Everyone thinks he is joking when he claims to be the real Satoshi and Bitcoin SV is the real Bitcoin but he is not, he is serious about it. And that is the funnier joke.
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: So many altcoins on: October 31, 2019, 10:09:44 AM
the problem is that the community has changed from "wanting to see new projects that create a decentralized peer to peer currency" to everyone wanting a different thing "wanting to see projects that can give them the most amount of profit".

so if you look back, in early years we saw most altcoin projects be good or at least have some fresh ideas (i am talking about the first couple of years like 2010), but when you compare it with these days every project is only a money grab thing and people only want to trade them on exchanges. nobody even runs their wallets/nodes anymore.
Well things change and the community is now full of those kind of people.
After all they just get into crypto to earn profit they got interested when the price was flying high.
They don't really care about the project all they care about is the profit.

Indirectly though, people care about the project. Because if a project fails, their desire for money also fails. If a project acquires success and gains positive return, they will also gain profit from their investment. This is now the trend. The success of the project is being taken as a success for money. It is not being taken as a success for the product the project is promoting or the success of the world in gaining a new technology. The success for crypto to a lot of people is the rise in price and nothing else.
445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin SV strong push on: October 31, 2019, 09:46:29 AM
coins that I will stay away from despite the high rise. At the time of Hardfork I bought a lot of BCH to get this BSV coin, but in the end the price continued to fall and the CEO who claimed to be the creator of Bitcoin was also called a con artist. This trait made the CEO of binance angry and delisted BSV. Don't spend too long holding this BSV coin, if it's already lucky to sell it and move to another coin.

The decision of Binance to delist Bitcoin SV is due to the controversy created by the owner himself, Craig Wright. The name Craig Wright is so closely associated with Bitcoin SV that it is the name itself that will burn Bitcoin SV to the ground. And not only Binance that delisted Bitcoin SV. Kraken delisted Bitcoin SV. Koinex delisted Bitcoin SV. And many more. In fact, the moment Craig Wright claimed that he is the real Satoshi Nakamoto, every exchange should have delisted Bitcoin SV already.
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Different type of altcoins have their season which attract scammers be watchful on: October 31, 2019, 09:21:15 AM
I would use the phrase failed project because that's what is mostly happening.
How are so sure of what is happening behind the scenes? If there is no proof of the project being developed then its good to assume that the project had failed.

That's why i said the appropriate word to use is failed project and not scam projects, I have read stories of projects returning the fund of ICO Investors back to them or buy back the tokens when their plans towards the project couldn't be achieved. The market is a very competitive one and when you don't have the funds or marketing team to compete, hardly before your project will get notice irrespective of how genuine it's which might result to such project failing that doesn't mean it was a scam.

Many of those projects that failed are not returning their investors' funds. Many are in fact not admitting that they failed. Instead of facing their failures and get back to step 1, to the very reason why their project was made in the first place, to the very problem they wish to address, they instead pursue their project even if they lack the funds, the supporters, the bright ideas, just to keep the money with them. They know that they will fail in the coming weeks or months after their launching but they just won't return the money because they want them. It is only a very tiny percentage of all failed projects that returns investors' money.
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't let Margin Trading make you poor! on: October 31, 2019, 08:58:16 AM
If we consider the benefit involve margin trading is good but if we look at the depth of the risk involved margin trading is not good for every trader (both experienced and inexperienced). Besides, margin trading is not even the right option now since halving is around the corner and people can easily earn enough just by holding.
It is an advantage for day traders, experienced traders already knew the risks involve, its also good for people who doesnt have a large fund they can use this to multiply their small fund.

The advantage is as high as the risks so it is still a 50:50 for me. Margin trading and its leverage opportunities are double-edged sword. We all know this. It is both an opportunity and a curse. It is a way to get big money out of small capital but it could also be a way to lose big very quickly.

You are right. If you are not an experienced trader, better stay away from margin trading. It will kill your wallet much earlier than you probably know.
448  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Whales Are Selling BTC Before Market Crash: Peter Schiff on: October 31, 2019, 08:35:17 AM
Well it isn't a surprise anymore ,
I have been thinking about it for so long and I believe that it's true,
The whales could manipulate or make the market move so they would always be first in line when the price moves.

Well, anybody who knows or predicted that there is going to be a bearish day ahead will naturally sell their coins. But you know what, this is actually the reason itself why there is a bearish day. It is because people react to rumors. And who is Peter Schiff by the way? Do we have to listen to this man? This man is almost always Craig Wright when it comes to sanity. They both appear to have lost them. Peter Schiff is a Bitcoin hater. We should not even listen to him.
449  Economy / Economics / Re: Africa - Hidden Treasure for the world and bitcoin on: October 31, 2019, 08:14:05 AM
When we hear about Africa most of us assume about the poverty or unemployment but honestly the kind of natural minerals they reserve they could be one of the richest nation but the problem over there is that neither government nor the citizens get benefited by their natural reserves due to warlords occupying it but do you think if government takes stern step and utilize the resource in the appropriate way and accepts bitcoin as a payment mode for exports then Africa can bloom again and this will help bitcoin if those products can be purchased using bitcoin so it will increase the trade which will benefit them in their GDP and will increase the demand for bitcoin thus triggering the price pump.

The condition of the African continent is really pitiful. More than just Bitcoin or even blockchain, the Africans should try to revisit their very basic personal values and cultures. I don't think Bitcoin or blockchain can address the most pressing issues of the land. There is widespread poverty, corruption, wars, illiteracy, lack of basic needs, warlordism, and many more social, political, and economic problems. Africa is blessed in terms of natural resources but look at how they fare in their daily lives. They should learn to unite and move forward as one blood. Right now, the foreign companies and governments are exploiting their resources indiscriminately without even improving the lives of those people around.
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need your advice! on: October 31, 2019, 07:52:43 AM
I have mentioned a project called Sessia (kicks). The project offers something like incentive. After each purchase, you get Cashbacks, and your friends can see your receipt in the Feed. What's more, you get kickbacks from all their purchases in the same shop.
What do you think guys about its future. I need your advice that should I invest in this project? Kindly suggest me.
https://www.sessia.com/

I know that you are just shilling for this project. But assuming you are not and you are really asking for an advice, just let Sessia (kicks) develop into whatever it potentially is. Hold your investment and observe for a while. There are many projects that are very active and full of life at the start because they have yet to earn the trust of investors and users. But once they got them already, they will slowly exit and be gone. And I have a suspicion that Sessia (kicks) is one of them.
451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People are to be blame for what happened to them on the internet on: October 31, 2019, 04:07:37 AM
When it comes to money people like trying out things the way they see fit, try first learn later is the rules of newbies and thats why they always get scammed easily, HYIP, Pyramid Scheme, as dangerous and alarming these two are people still join them till date, both crypto and internet is not the evil here, people are to be blame for what happened to them

Why are you blaming the victims rather than the criminals? Are you one of those people who are saying that there are no scammers if there are no victims? That is wrong. Put the blame on the criminals themselves. There are no scam victims if there are no scammers. People are greedy, naive, innocent, susceptible to too-good-to-be-true offers, but this does not mean that they can be scammed or the scammers are free to make trap for them.
452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Moving on to Other Things on: October 31, 2019, 03:46:06 AM
"I’ve moved on to other things" could mean a lot of things. And we can only theorize and create speculations on what those words actually mean. It could mean he has moved on to focus on other things he is fond of. It could also mean that he has another project to start. It could also simply mean "I won't have to be over the Bitcoin project everyday for the rest of my life." Or it might signify retirement. Satoshi might be somewhere detached from the busy world right now.
453  Economy / Economics / Re: What should I convert my money into? on: October 31, 2019, 03:25:17 AM
Is there a need to convert your money into USD? If there is, then go ahead and convert some. Only a little portion will do, just to support your day to day needs. If there is none, then I would recommend that you choose Bitcoin instead. USD is no better than any other fiat in the sense that all of them are going to depreciate. Bitcoin is going to explode in value. So if you are looking for something where you can store your money and will make profit in the long term, it is going to be Bitcoin.
454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Key players in the crypto industry on: October 31, 2019, 03:04:24 AM
Bitcoin Cash is not a key player. It is a player that has become some sort of a key player because it is made from the ribs of Bitcoin but not because it offers something new, innovative, and unique. Which makes it not really a key player but just a mere shadow. The crypto industry is started by Bitcoin, developed into a wider field by Ethereum and Ripple. What has been contributed by Bitcoin Cash? Nothing except the efforts to bring Bitcoin down.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading or Marketing/Promotion on: October 31, 2019, 02:39:23 AM
I must say a very big thank you to all forum members because I have learnt a lot from their different opinions however, am still not stable on the part I should actually stick to Trading I ask about most of the responds are discouraging about losing funds high risk and all the rest in Marketing aspect I find out that most of the IEO/ICO turned scam in most cases. The question is I really picked interest in Trading but my intention was to work as marketer/Promoter and get paid in the crypto industry but based on different opinions and some research I can't really tell which of the above will be suitable. I really need opinions here thanks.

You can do both if you really want both. You can trade at the same time market a certain project or product. I guess marketing in this sense is writing articles about it, or creating an informative or educational video or a sort of a guide about a certain product, or even meeting people and discuss the features or details of a project. I think you can still have time left to pursue trading if you wish to. It is all about time management. We can always jumble things the way we want it.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Another Shit Coin Up 155.54% (24H) Today on: October 31, 2019, 02:16:02 AM
That's normal pump and dump even the shittiest project can do better than that. Thats why everytime we look at the coinmarketcap we should double check everything if the data is credible. We can't judge all of them are useless project it just happen that pump and dump are normal game in unregulated market.

But you need to be cautious when a shitcoin is pumping and dumping. They are looking for victims with that scheme. Some people will notice how such shitcoins are making spikes every once in a while and they will probably get curious and join the pump and dump. They are lucky if they are able to ride them perfectly. But if not, they will be caught in the middle and lose. At times, a pump is intentionally done by the team themselves to make it appear that their coin is still alive.
457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin SV strong push on: October 31, 2019, 01:52:53 AM
Bitcoin SV is up 15% in the last hours. Still predicting to go up today or am I late to the party?

What push are you talking about? Bitcoin SV is down more than 5% today. You are neither early nor late in the Bitcoin SV party because there is no Bitcoin SV party happening. Bitcoin SV is going to fall in the coming days because its owner itself is falling down in the eyes of the crypto communities all over the world. Craig Wright, by being too desperate to be acknowledged as the real Satoshi, is just pushing himself and his coin down.
458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? Solved! on: October 30, 2019, 04:23:44 PM

Great documents in here. Very interesting findings about Satoshi.

Quote
Q: Why are you searching for Satoshi Nakamoto?
A: Contrary to mainstream information available, Satoshis exit from Bitcoin was not planned or scheduled. Anyone who has read the detailed posts, actions and timelines would conclude that it was unexpected and abrupt. The only way to know Satoshi was 'safe' and 'ok' was to find him. Anyone involved in the world of activism would understand this

If so do you think the government is watching him then in order for him to get away he just self destruct his computer and walk away like he is no part of anything?
Its really a mystery why all of a sudden that without saying anything that he is leaving and then vanish.

British Asian could really mean he is a Japanese/Chinese and studied in England.

Satoshi Nakamoto did not just vanish all of a sudden. In his posts, he was clearly hinting that he will not be around for so long. He is saying that to the public and so people have already the idea that Satoshi is going to vanish in the coming days. In fact, Satoshi even prepared everything for his demise. He entrusted everything he left to the right people.
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Tide Lifting All Altcoins Boats on: October 30, 2019, 03:35:40 PM
BSV is just a junk coin that blackmails its investors. Doing a BCH hardfork just to take as much profit as possible.
BSV was even delisted by Binance because of the attitude of Craig Wright who declared himself as Satoshi Nakamoto (inventor of Bitcoin). Craig Wright is also called a con man by many people because of his claim. Anyone who opposes the claim will be legally sued. very crazy. I have never touched BSV after knowing this.

I never even thought about investing into it as soon as I found out Craig Wright was involved. You can take one look at that dude and see how full of crap he is. I figured that the project was doomed from the start with all the stuff he had going on. He's just all around shady. That's why that court told him he had to pay $4 billion in Bitcoin to the Kleiman estate. Don't trust that dude.

Craig Wright is not only involved with Bitcoin SV. He is the center of Bitcoin SV. If the apple is rotten at the core, there is no way it will retain its glow. Look at how foolish Craig Wright appears to the crypto community. He looks desperate and like a kid who is short of attention. Does anybody think the real Satoshi is as desperate for attention as this man? What will you expect then from the project this man is owning? I am even wondering why Bitcoin SV is still in the top 10 when it is clearly a shitcoin.
460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ✅[ANN] DeepOnion ONION New Private Currency ✅ Own ONION Now & Discover Privacy ✅ on: October 30, 2019, 03:19:32 PM
Bringing ONION to #Venezuela achieved 100+ accounts on this thread https://deeponion.org/community/threads/bringing-onion-to-venezuela.41881/
Now we are going to start interacting with those accounts on Twitter, for expansion, chances are Venezuelans can start using ONION for their daily transactions, this will help them to get out of their dictator!

We will use #ONION2Venezuela + other powerful hashtags!
Find this task at #VoteCentral

But do businesses in that country accepting Onions? The possibility that the citizens of Venezuela will be resorting to cryptocurrencies as their main mode of payment is very high. But the problem is that there should be users both in terms of buyers and sellers. The market is made up of those two players. If Venezuelans will buy Onions, will they be able to spend it in their stores there? And I can see that Onion is falling down in prices. They might be caught in a similar scenario with their fiat.

As we know, crypto is totally different than FIAT, there is no point of comparison!
Once people understand the power of cryptos/ONION they will start using ONION, because of all many benefits, one important benefit is that people can take power off their presidents if they want, just by using crypto instead of FIAT!!

But first people need to educate themselves in crypto personal finances! and that is the challenge of the DeepOnion community to help to educate others!

Not totally different because crypto is money, or at least it started originally as money, an alternative to fiat. And even with the goal of replacing fiat with crypto, that is already admitting that crypto is designed in such a way that it can replace fiat's place, that it can be a better money in a way. There are several points of comparison.

Great plan indeed. Education is the first step. Adoption will come later.
