441  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Terrorist siege in the Philippines. on: June 06, 2017, 09:48:12 PM
If this is really true this will be quiet alarming for the citizen of the Philippines. To be honest Im not that too much updated on whats going on here as well even though I am Fiilipino I really dont feel.any terrorist act near on my area (Manila). Everything is still under control which still good knowing that there are terrorist who are trying to penetrate our country. Immreally confident right now because of the president that I really admire because of his intelligence and decision making. But based on the news there are some terrorist act happening near in some places of Phillipines so we still need to be fully guarded as well.

Don't worry, you are in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, we all know that if the terrorist hold the capital of the country, it is so frustrating because it is their most cherished place and as the capital, it must be really guarded. Good news is, just the last day, a group of people was sent to Marawi to recover the people who are stuck on the war in between. I am really proud of these people because they stood up in between these 2 camps just to save the residents.

People are stupid sometimes, just because Mindanao is under martial law, they think that the gunman in the resorts world incident is a member of ISIS. Please, for nth time, he is not a terrorist , he is just an addict of gambling according to his mother.

People just want to link every crimes to the terrorist group ISIS or everything like that be linked to terrorist.  Yes maybe because of what is happening right now in Mindanao.  Even the local news associated this act as made by terrorist.  I do not know maybe just to frighten people and make a bad image to the other country.  They want to blame the government maybe for negligence.  But as you said, it was purely done by a gambling addict.

We can't blame them, from what is happening here in the Philippines,  they will be really saying those things. Me, as a Filipino, after hearing it for the first time, I thought it is a terrorist attack, but I did not rant about it, I just watch and knew that it is not a terrorist attack based on the Police. Let other people say what they want to, because no matter what they've said, the officers will be the one investigating the incident not them.

A guy equipped with a  "baby armalite" fires at Worlds Resort Manila, He may be equipped by a rifle but he did not fired to people there making it a conclusion that ISIS is not responsible for these attack. A lot of carpets burned, alot of people died because of suffocation and many wounded. Stole $2.3M worth of chips but commits suicide afterwards, many was killed and wounded, I think these deaths was senseless.

A crazy guy, after giving fear to the gamblers there in the end he did suicide. That's what I'm saying, don't take gambling literally.

He is not crazy, he is just depressed on what is happening in his life. Having a big debt, losing your insurance and stuffs, that is really so depressing. We can't blame the casino or gambling, they are not the main reason why he is addicted to it, it is himself that brought his self to these. I think he is not ready to consequences that he will face because of his addiction.
444  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Manila terrorist was in a casino burning casino tables on: June 06, 2017, 12:07:40 AM
The Western media was using this incident as another excuse to blame the Muslims. But now it has been proven that the attacker was not even a Muslim. The media must apologize now.

We can't bkame them, they are media, they can talk whatever they want, nobody cares, but most of them believe it. If they are wrong then they can do better another time, and besides, they are just making some conclusions about the incident. Many people think that it is a terrorist attack because it may be, but it is not.

Earlier, the ISIS had actually claimed that the attacker was one of their members. And even now, the ISIS connections can't be ruled out 100%. What if the attacker was a convert to radical Islam?

Apparently the attacker is identified and not a terrorist. He is in debt of $80k = 4million php to a bank and his parents confirmed that he is addicted to gambling.

He is not an ISIS, he didnt kill any civilians he was shooting at the ceiling.

That is really funny how ISIS claiminh these attack was. They can bring panic very good, but they lie very bad. Sadly, the gunman was also a Filipino, and that is just more disappointing. He killed his countrymen and nothing was ever obtained by these incident but tear and fear. I just hope it stays as a lesson.
445  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gunman in Resorts World Manila on: June 05, 2017, 10:21:24 PM
Just saw the CCTV clips from Resorts World. Gunman burned those luxury tables and slots machines. This is the first time I saw what's inside the casino and Im really stunned with those luxuries. But all those things turned to ashes. At the end of the clip, the gunman I think was shot by a person that is standing on the fire exit where the suspect go just few minutes ago before the arrival of the backups. They both surprised when they see each other. Hopefully they have the CCTV of gunman entering the room where he burned himself so that we can know that this is not his double and he is really the one who burned.

Some people are retarded questioning how the gunman entered the building with a gun without them realizing that as soon as the gunman entered the building, he is already on attack mode exactly at the entrance. What do you expect for those people in charge, will talked to this guy? Good thing they run so they report it quick to the authorities.

If you are not familiar with RW Manila, then before you can enter, its still a long walk before the actual casino entrance. I haven't seen the video's yet. But If I'm assuming he used the main entrance, there are already security personnel there, frisking you checking your bags and even a metal detectors before you can finally go to the casino proper. Even if you used the second floor entrance, security was there. If they were able to frisk him and see that he has a gun, then the casualties can be lessen I think. I don't know if this is the worst casino attack on recorded history. Main thing though is that the security in front don't have guns. All high powered personnel was always in the outside. Its a casino dude, a lot of cameras, and those watching eye in the sky should have caught him and reported to the police and to the security personnel that have high powered guns. That is a casino for Christ sake, securities should be tighter than a bank. Again, I haven't see the footage yet but I think RW is to blame here.

And yeah, the gunman entered the building walking straight inside, he did not walk through the Metal detectors, if you ask me, he just entered like a boss, the security tried to stop the guy but she can't because she don't have a gun, then run to the casino where he sees another SG, but these SG didn't shoot because there are a lot of people around them. And that time, he started to run to the casino, burn the tables and steal chips.
446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a source of income? on: June 05, 2017, 09:07:38 PM
The good thing about Bitcoin is that you can use your free time when you are not at work and earn something extra. Like participating in signature campaign or freelancing for Bitcoins. This doesn't have to be your official second job but it's still good opportunity to make some extra money and you also don't need some special resources.
I also like to work for bitcoin to earn money because in this job I am my own boss and no one is a supervisor on me and at any time I want to work I go to do. It is the same as if a person start his own business and in that he work whenever he want without any restrictions on him.

I believe you have the freedom to chose when to work but that is what the job is packaged with but you are still not your own boss because at the end of the day, you have to submit your work, be evaluated and reach the minimum requirement that your employer wanted you  to do.  But I agree that Bitcoin open the gates of sources of income.
The employer will never pay for labor using Bitcoin. Only if a person is himself a Boss, that's another thing. If you work for yourself and earn Bitcoin then you are a rich and free person.

I don't get it, why will an employer pay for a labor? That is an employer, he works under the a company that means he must be paid for his labor. Bitcoin for me is just a way to earn extra income, I do not take it personally, but having a hobby of collecting some digital currencies is not that bad.

Nonetwork, the killing was very senseless! If it not and Isis attack then what will influence a man to go and curse the death of many people like this. We look at terrorist attacks as Islamic extremist and retaliation but what is the aim of this guy for Christ sake.

It is really senseless, and another one is how the gunman entered the building, a mews update was aired about these incident and the gunman just walked in the building, the Security Guard can't stop the gunman, there are even SGs that seen him but did not take action because many people are around that may be wounded or shot from what he will do. The question now is why the building has no good exits, from the deaths of the civilians, all of them died because of suffocation meaning they have no way to out and staying on one place.
449  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gunman in Resorts World Manila on: June 05, 2017, 02:02:30 AM
It's a good thing that the gunman was identified because as long as he is not named, speculations about ISIS involvement will continue to appear in the media.

Now, according to police reports, the gunman was identified as Jessie Carlos, a former DOF (Department of Finance) employee who is “heavily debt” due to casino gambling. His parents also confirmed that he was indeed addicted to it and was a frequent guest at the Resort World Manila.

Anyways, since it's finally over, I hope this case will be closed, and RWM management appropriately compensates the relatives of the victims. My thoughts and prayers go out to their families.

Yes, that is right, this case is closed, but it will be a forever lesson to securities and even employees working on buildings and casinos, we must be really alert at all times. Money can't fix the pain that these incident has made, they need more than their money, money can't pay one's precious life.

451  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins and Video games on: June 04, 2017, 07:07:44 PM
There are many games which offer rewards or game benefits in crypto.

Most of them offer decent rewards when they first release their game to the public. After that they become like a faucet where you have to be very active in game to receive a very small amount of crypto. Except they pay less than faucets do.

Yeah, I better choose faucet sites than these games, in faucet sites all I will do is just click, answer some captcha and claim some satoshis, with these games, if you lose, you will be watching an ad everytime you lose to continue the game which is pretty irritating sometimes. I prefer faucet than these games.
452  Other / Off-topic / Re: Young people should go all in on bitcoin on: June 04, 2017, 05:54:21 PM
I cant still go all in sorry lol. I am not really a high risk taker person but i do save some so nothing to worry more. Not all the young people here uses bitcoin because they just wanted to but instead it was for a living

I think many people now are doing that, with the price of bitcoin changing every minute, you can always see a result after an hour, it is a good short term investment. And yes, that is right, young people must not go all in to bitcoin, they must go all in in their studies not focussing on these digital currency. You can take these as an extra income, but don't say it was for a living.
453  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Manila terrorist was in a casino burning casino tables on: June 04, 2017, 05:02:50 PM
They just released footage of this terrorist in the Philippines.
That is some unbelievable things he did and for what?
All for robbery.
People has to die so that he can steal casino chips?

How did he expect to cash them out?
At another casino?

I guess he realized that he wouldn't be able to since they normally would need to be redeemed at the same casino that distribed the chips. They are tokens after all with the name of the casino where they came from. Undecided
And with the serial numbers on them i think he figured out he wouldn't be able to do shit with them and they are worthless. Tongue
So all that carnage and chaos was for nothing. Embarrassed
And this is probably the reason why he killed himself after being cornered by the police forces. Roll Eyes

These incident is not an terrorist attack but a robbery. And from the news update, these man is a Filipino whose lost a lot of money through gambling and he's even banned on the casino. I think he knew these even before doing the incident, he is a gambler after all, and these topic is also started here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945502.0
454  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gunman in Resorts World Manila on: June 04, 2017, 07:40:39 AM
UPDATE:

The Resorts World Manila gunman has been identified as Filipino Jessie Carlos, 43, separated, and a former tax specialist of the Department of Finance with known address at 1663 Felix Huertas corner San Lazaro St., Sta. Cruz, Manila.

NCRPO chief Director Oscar Albayalde, who ruled out speculation that the attack was an act of terrorism, said that Carlos had an outstanding debt of P4 million and was addicted to gambling. Carlos was described as a "high roller" and had been banned by PAGCOR from gambling in at least 4 casinos in Metro Manila.

Presented during the presscon were Carlos' parents and wife, who expressed their apologies and sympathy to families of the casualties of the attack.

Carlos, according to a 2014 article published in The Philippine Star, was found guilty of grave misconduct and neglect of duty for not declaring his house and lot in Manila in his SALNs from 2003 to 2006, his Toyota Innova SUV in his 2007 SALN, and his business interest in his 2010 SALN.

Following the decision, Carlos’ civil service eligibility was canceled, his retirement benefits forfeited, and he was perpetually disqualified ffrom reemployment in the government.

It's clear that this man is full of debts. No he is not related to ISIS. ISIS can claimed whatever they want to make a hype.

Then he is really mentally disordered man. Without these informations, I think we will be staying in the idea that he is not a filipino. I think the deaths of many people there is really senseless, that is a selfish way to kill yourself. And yeah, ISIS claiming these incident as theirs, it is really funny.
455  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gunman in Resorts World Manila on: June 04, 2017, 02:10:25 AM
I heard that news that i thought it was a terrorist but the suspect was die with him self..
I just heard that news at youtube when i open up its trending too fast in youtube..
But the problem about the casino why they are not let people to run outside they are too crazy life is important than chips..

Your grammar is bad, though yes, it was not a terrorist but a mental disordered man who lost his money on gambling on the casino. The video is viral on social media too, not only YouTube, you can also read some articles about it so you can update yourself. The reason why the people cant get out is because the people are terrified, with a lot of gun shots inside they dont know where to go, where to hide, or where to run, some floors are on fire so they dont know where to go, that is why they find a safe room or place and stayed there.
456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What type of wallet do you use? on: June 03, 2017, 10:56:08 PM
I don't know what a lightweight wallet is, but I am using an application in my mobile phone named Coins.ph. It is really efficient and I can pay bills and load anywhere in our country, as long as there are internet that is. But I also want to store Ethereum in these wallet, the problem is, Bitcoin is the only Digital Currency that is available in these wallet.
457  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gunman in Resorts World Manila on: June 03, 2017, 09:33:33 PM
The police haven't release any video's yet. Just clippings from the CCTV of Resorts World. It was said that he was yelling that he was ISIS before firing but the police haven't verified it yet. Looks like President Duterte has visited the wake of some of the victims specially 2 who is still unclaimed. The wake of the most of the victims is also near my place, and tonight when I was about to go home, roads were closed and re-routed and a lot of police around. Didn't bother to look though as security is very tight and a lot of media as well. Travel bans coming from USA and Australia if I'm not mistaken was already release in the Philippines. This will put the country in bad light again, damn frustrating and disappointed as Filipino.

So frustrating, we've been making our country beautiful again by eradicating drug users and starting to have a good relationship with other country leaders. From what happened, President Donal Trump banned people traveling from Australia from what happened. What's more frustrating is that, they can stop one man from doing these incident, there would be no dead people if the security is always ready to these kind of attack.
458  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why God exists in all people mind? on: June 03, 2017, 02:11:48 PM
Why God exists in all people mind?

this is a pointless question without specifying what exactly is meant by god.

It's impossible to give one, unique, definition about God, because different people and religions have different understanding about nature of God.
For some people, God is just energy or heaven.
For others is absolute, omnipresent being, creator of everything.
We also can't agree about definition of human mind, if spiritual world exist or not etc.
So, try ro answer this question based on your own understanding what is God.

God is someone that makes us put our faith to Him, we don't know if He's or not, but we all feel that He is there looking at whatever we've done.Giving us conscience, fear, knowledge, strength and courage and many more. Without god, we might have  hard time governing ourselves.
459  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Men and their weapons on: June 03, 2017, 01:14:59 PM
Weapons, words that one might call a tool for battle, but now the weapon for fighting men is money.  Grin

Weapons are just mere tool to fight other men, but I think these tools are useless, it may be made from gold or sillver, diamond or other else, but the important weapon a man has is what they are fighting for, without these goal, weapons are useless.
460  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gunman in Resorts World Manila on: June 03, 2017, 12:00:53 PM
I have just noticed that the ISIS has claimed responsibility for this attack. But the identity of the attacker is not known as of now, and the cops are denying that Islamists are behind the attacks.

http://edition.cnn.com/2017/06/02/asia/manila-philippines-resort-world-isis/index.html

I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that the ISIS was indeed behind the attack. Even previously, they have specifically targeted facilities which are popular with the tourists. The attack on Reina nightclub in Istanbul is a perfect example.

To be fair to the police, they'll be having a hard time identifying the charred remains. I'm surprised they haven't really released the CCTV footage yet. Or at least, I haven't seen it in the news.

I think so too, but the question is, why did he do these, why would he go to Worlds Resorts Manila with a gun, he stole chips but he didn't use it and just commit suicide, it's making no sense. And just so you know, the gunman burned many parts of the casino, with the smoke and the fire, they can't use the camera because it didn't caught anything.

I saw some still from a CCTV footage on FB. It shows him sitting on the stairs in the fire exit, with what seem to be a small bag in hand. Apparently the guy is a foreigner (looks Middle Eastern to me) though as expected, still not a lot of details about him.

Maybe that's why their trying to keep mum a bit. Whether they label this as terrorism or not, it could spark panic, or worse if the guy is indeed Muslim or at least Middle Eastern. Christians here had been pretty quite tolerant, despite some bombings here in the capital, you don't see them mobbing mosques like in America.

It's a bit different now though. As the past election has shown, people have become quite intolerant of things that don't agree with them. Just look at any FB page and you'll get a taste of the vitriol Muslims and Christians are shoving down each other's throats after the siege in  Marawi.

I've seen the clip too, but there are no useful information that can be worked out in that clip. We can just guess the nationality from that video, though we can't have a solid proof what's his nationality. If we can compare the activities of terrorists to these incident, there is a huge difference, if this is a terrorist attack, these will be the worst and most bloody incident these year.
