441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cyber attackers asking for $300 in bitcoin on: June 28, 2017, 08:46:40 PM
A cyber attack that is spreading accross the world

https://www.axios.com/ransomware-attack-is-an-escalation-of-cyber-hacks-2449233920.html

Attackers ask victims to pay 300 dollar in bitcoin after their hard drive is encrypted.

In your opinion can it cause governments to make the usage of bitcoin illegal as they can't prosecute peoples using bitcoin for illegal purposes?

Yes this cyber attack is spreading around the world and it has been terrorize a lot of people, I do think that is not the governments idea to make bitcoin illegal or to make bad reputation of bitcoin. It has more like advertise in a lot of people because when they attack happens it gain many attentions and people watching the news and people who got affected by the attack will think what is a bitcoin when they don't know what it is. Bitcoin got more attention around the world than making it look bad in other people because we know that the attack happen because of the terrorists acts but the truth is that bitcoin is just like money. When someone asks for a ransom the money is not the bad guy its the one that asks for the ransom. So for me this attacks is the purpose to make the bitcoin gain more attention on a lot of people and around the world especially the bitcoin price increasing everyday and of course the attackers are doing this also because the market price of bitcoin.
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do i get free coins? on: June 28, 2017, 05:32:56 AM
Often see some bounty post, how can I do to get free and have the potential coins, for example, in the bittalkcoin this forum on their product post, what is the request for my account? Activity quantity

There are many ways, some campaigns do bounties to make you do something and it depends on them on what it is, you can check them in the services "https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0". You can also join signature campaigns to earn some and there are a lot of it in the service section you just need to wait and always check it every time you have a free time. Also for you to join you need to check if you are applicable to join. There are some campaigns who won't accept newbies, most of the time they only accept jr.members and higher. It depends on the signature but you always need to check every time if you really want to earn coins.  Wink Hope it helps Wink
443  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think that you're addicted to gambling? on: June 28, 2017, 04:09:54 AM
As the title says, do you think that you're addicted to gambling? or you just don't realize that you're addicted Roll Eyes
If you ask me, i used to addicted to gambling but stopped after suffer big losses even though i'm still in profit.

For me I don't think my self as addicted to gambling even though I gamble sometimes or go to a casino and play slots and other stuffs in there. I don't see myself as addicted because for me I only gamble sometimes or when I'm bored and or when we go out with the family. Gambling for me is just a waste of money, casinos and betting site are just making your bank account empty, they are just businesses who wants our money so that they can be a millionaire and run their business with the use of our money that we lost due to our greediness and no self control. That's why whenever I gamble I always have self control because I always think that its like I'm just giving away my free money for nothing just to hit a bottom and just like that you lose your money but what I really like in gambling is the sounds and the events on the casinos thats what it counts. For me I gamble but I always have a limitation and when up to my limitation I'll just relax and get some little drinks and chill and watch the band or something. Gambling for me is not just playing its the fun that counts. So I think I'm not addicted I just enjoy the lights and events and etc. in casinos.  Wink
444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used by ordinary citizens? on: June 28, 2017, 03:59:23 AM
Bitcoin is usually used by people interested in technology. I mean, persons with a certain technical knowledge are interested in bitcoin.

My observations are that way. I think Bitcoin needs to reach larger quantities. Can use bitcoin in people who are not interested in technology?
Can people use the bitcoin in the profession group like tradesmen, teachers, housewives, firemen, butchers? Are we going to see the days that these people use bitcoin?

I think for now its still hard to know if they can be able to understand it and use it but I do think that I'm sure it will happen. First before ordinary people can understand and use bitcoin first, they need to understand the basic knowledge of it and what is the purpose of it. Many people don't trust this kind of scheme because they think this is just a scam of this is just nothing for them but we want to convince them and tell them what it can benefit them for their future. I'm sure one day they will surely think on it and what is it if bitcoin is spread throughout the world and when our governments invest on them. There is a highly chance that it will happen and when that day happen we all know that many people will invest on bitcoin like, tradesmen, teachers, housewives, firemen, butchers and other ordinary people around the world. we are in a blink of the future and me myself can't wait it will happen.  Wink
445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you need to keep your wallets updated? on: June 28, 2017, 03:40:54 AM
I read an article where it was stated that:

"To store most other altcoins you will need to download the wallets created specifically by their developers. If you’re collecting many altcoins this can be very time consuming and requires additional space on your computer to download all their blockchain data. You’ll also need to make sure these wallets are up to date in case there are major upgrades. "

It is the last sentance I am a bit troubled about:

"You’ll also need to make sure these wallets are up to date in case there are major upgrades. "

If you don't do this and keep the wallet updated, can you end up losing your coins?

The article was here: https://cryptohustle.com/bitcoin-and-cryptocurrencies-for-beginners

Well for me I think yes, you need too but it doens't mean that you need to update it everyday. Sometimes altcoins will update their program due to many issues or etc.. thats why they need to update their program so they want you to update it too. You can just update it once a month or so if you have a free time to check if your coin is still there or if there is any changes on it and etc.. and if you really want to be in this bitcoin business you are really obligated to do it because you want to earn or invest something. You don't just leave it alone in darkness, for example like if you leave your wallet in a park and it has $5 then after many many many days you leave it there of course what will happen? It will disappear because someone will took it. It will not just increase its value because of course it real money and not a altcoin but you know what I mean?. Updating it once a while and checking it is not much an hassle and I know if you really want to earn you need to keep checking on it and if not. I think this is not right for you.
446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the ticket to heaven ... on: June 28, 2017, 03:29:32 AM
Bitcoin is just like a money if you think about it, many people also believe that money is also ticket to heaven because you can do all stuffs and buy everything you want on it. Before when bitcoin was not made, it is just the same logic. Bitcoin is not a ticket to take you to heaven but the same as money if you use it right and don't use it for evil, thats the same thing logic in real money many people use money for evil and some other use it for good but the truth is there is no tool or thing that will give you a ticket to heaven or vice versa it will always depends on you on how you will deal your life and if your going for a better good and evil. Eventually, we all people are still going to die and we die with nothing on use we can't bring anything. What we can do give memories for our future sons and daughters. So I believe that bitcoin will not be a ticket to heaven or etcc. this is nonsense.

449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: June 25, 2017, 06:45:56 PM
What's preventing Bitcoins from being accepted as mainstream payment forms? I'm working on a new blockchain and would like to learn what drawbacks of Bitcoin urgently need to be improved Wink

Bitcoin has still many flaws that's why bitcoin is still not a mainstream. Many countries do not see bitcoin as legal and not all people can acquire bitcoin unlike money many people can get hands to it, while bitcoin you need an internet connection and a computer to earn it and many countries has no connection on internet so it still hard for bitcoin to be a mainstream like real money. Also, bitcoin transactions takes to long, when you send something or buy something in bitcoin it will took maybe hours or days just to confirm that the process is complete. Another thing is that the value of bitcoin is still not constant unlike money, bitcoin can fluctuate over time and if businesses offers to accept bitcoin and the rates will be down of course they will be deficit. So there are still many flaws on bitcoin but for sure in the future it will happen because as we can see today bitcoin as gradually gaining popularity especially big countries and governments are looking at it. So today bitcoin has still disadvantages but sooner it will be all advantages.  Wink
450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: June 25, 2017, 02:45:51 AM
What would you do when you're talking to someone but then he suddenly talks about his hatred on Bitcoin, what would you react to it?

I've never actually experienced anything like this before, I just want to be prepared when it happened to me.

Well if i was in that situation what I will do is that when someone talks sht about bitcoin I will straight tell them the good sht about bitcoin and the facts about it. I know they may hate it because of something and etc.. but I also think that they should be biased on it. Not all things are bad in bitcoin and I don't think there are not much bad thing about bitcoin. Bitcoin has been a help and gets a lots of opportunity for people who are earning and want to learn about bitcoin. So I think if you actually encounter someone like that just tell them straight the good points about bitcoin, and I have not also experienced anything like that before but I have experienced on meeting someone who likes bitcoin too. It was so much fun having to talk about bitcoin and how it helps and benefits us in our society and generation today.  Wink
451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Many Casinos Are There in Your Country? on: June 24, 2017, 04:10:57 PM
How many casinos are there in your country, state or city? Any nearby ones that you frequent?

Here in Canada I think there are 212 casinos here in whole Canada but in our province there are 67 casinos and in our city near me there 2 casinos. I always go to one near me like just 15 mins away from our home and I have always been playing there for a long time but I don't gamble alone because that's to boring. I always play with someone and sometimes I just go there to chill and just stay there for a drink and just watch the live band. There are many different games in there slots, poker, cards, race tracks and many other else that you can play. There are also free drinks and many entertainments in there so I think casinos are fun and I know many people go there to have fun and also I see some other people who play there to make income. I don't know how but they stay their until midnight and play.  Wink
452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: June 24, 2017, 03:43:54 AM
I've been reading through this forums for the past few weeks and all I see is "this coin is dead" or "everything is a shit coin". Is there any alt coin with potential to invest in or is it only bitcoin? I don't mean like a few here and there, I mean over 100 coins.

Yes there are many coins that are dead and shitty but if you did you research right you will know which ones to invest but if you don't have the guts and try the risk to invest the coin that you chosen, you don't belong here don't come and ask some questions that which alt coins that are worth buying there are many alt coins out in the market so researching your own is your best option because each one of use has different perspectives and interests so do yourself a favor and write down on what alt coin you want and what do you think on it. As you said there are 100s of coins so there are many options to you to choose on which alt coins you want. Wink
453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future? on: June 24, 2017, 03:25:12 AM
Yahoo was the first (?) search engine at the time when Internet started.  It was the pioneer in its field.  In the late 90's its market cap reached to a high closed to $120B.   Three and a half years after Yahoo started, Google came out and gradually took away market share from Yahoo.

After 22 years, Verizon bought it for $4.8B.  Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future and got beat up by new competitions?

What do you think?  Please provide your reason(s) to support your view.

There are possibilities that as you said that it will happen, there are no impossible in this world we live in but in my opinion bitcoin is different many people depend on bitcoin and bitcoin was the very first that cryptocurrency that came out. It is hard to predict if that will happen but there is a possibility on it but the chances are low because as we can see in market cap other coins are increasing but not as like as bitcoin, ETH is incredibly increasing but so as bitcoin so its hard to know if it will happen or not and when it will happen. For yahoo, yes it was at highest point when google was still not discovered but yahoo and google are search engines they are not cryptocurrency that many people can invest on them. Unlike bitcoin many people can invest even if your not rich and high but we don't know the future and who knows what will happen we just gotta wait see.  Wink
454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: June 24, 2017, 03:14:42 AM
Bro to quit gambling entirely, there are many ways to do, for example you can go get a hobby like play sports, go on travelling, go build a mining reg or something. There are tons and tons of ways to quit gambling, if you are addicted on going in the casino you can request them to ban you in there so they won't let you go in or you can invest on something instead so you won't go gambling. You can earn more than losing more in investing. Another way is to spend it in other things like paying your bills and debts go find something that will make you life happier not miserable just because you losing something on gamble. Go have fun with your money don't make other people benefit it because you work hard on it and you deserve it. Go enjoy on a vacation or save for your future or future kids but in the end of the day it depends on you how you are going to handle it there many ways but its up to you on how you going to use it. In our generation today there are many ways to earn more money than losing it in gamble so think about it deeply and Good luck  Wink

456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to spot a gambler addicted? on: June 24, 2017, 02:58:21 AM
I think for me on how to spot a gambler addict is that when someone plays for a long time and gets easily aggregated when being asked or talked when they are betting or gambling. Gambling is really highly addictive and many people now are staying in casinos or on their computers just to gamble. When they get tired they always frown especially when they lose. I do think to spot a gambler that is addicted he/she is constantly playing and also non stop talking about it, its not hard to see if he/she is addicted on gambling. Sometimes they also lie just to gamble and whenever they lie that would be hard to identify and if you actually discovered that he/she lied that's the point were you need to tell them that they are addicted and they need to stop until they will use all of their money and go broke but in your example I see don't you don't play for a long time and you only play on your free time. I don't see that as an addiction but as long as you don't go overboard on your bets, its hard to lose but you need to accepts it and move one. I see gambling as a waste of money instead of gambling go somewhere or save your money for a vacation that can benefit you and not give you head aches.  Wink
457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: can gambling give you lessons in life? on: June 24, 2017, 02:44:45 AM
Yes of course can give you a lot of lessons in life, in terms of financial losses that can teach  you how to value money in a matter of time. Because thar time you are engaged in gambling is you are not thinking to earn money for your family and the only thing you aim is to win and not lossing. If we generally analyze the whole idea here, you didn't expect to loss and yet you really loss because gambling always make's you loss rathen than winning. Having a bigger lossea that cannot be recovered by playing again will certainly give you a nice lessons that will also give you the principle of not joining gambling bets anymore; life will be change as well.

Of course gambling will give a lot of life lessons, especially when you don't have any luck in your side but for me gambling is more like a entertainment. The enjoyment and chatting with friends/families the live music and etc. are the important things that matters and the experience on it. I know many people gamble for income but that doesn't really make sense and I know I will not get an income in gambling because I know myself that in gambling there is more chances on losing than winning. Gambling sites or casinos are also businesses who also wants your money to pay their workers, their rents, land, and etc. so they would actually make you lose more than winning because they want your money. I gamble before and I know how it sucks to lose big time when you just win it like 5 seconds ago. Gambling should just be fun, but its really up to you or the people if they want to waste their money or invest it on something that you know you will truly earn on your investment that betting on your luck. The Life lesson here is that don't waste your money if you don't have a lot. Invest it and save it, time will come that you will have more money and soon you will be able to gamble again not for income or because of you need money but just because you just want to have fun.  Wink
458  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this right time to buy bitcoin?? on: June 24, 2017, 02:35:43 AM
After seeing some post regarding bitcoin legalized in india (link will be given below)  spreading around facebook and other social media lots of my friends asking about investing in bitcoin is this right time or 1)it may go down till that can we wait and buy  or 2) it will take off booming then we cant touch because of overprice . Please could somebody give clear picture Link: https://cointelegraph.com/news/suddenly-bitcoin-to-be-officially-legal-in-india

Will many people believe that bitcoin will go down and some are also thinks that bitcoin will increasing overtime but for me, in my opinion the right time to buy bitcoin was like last 2-3 years ago but past is past so we can't go back to it. I do think now is the time to invest and get some bitcoins, because right now bitcoin is still in the middle of the process, we are in the generation were we will discover more and more going to the future. I do think that investing now will be a good move because for me I think the bitcoin price will increase more and more, by 2018 I think it will hit $3k or more I don't see bitcoin going down as we see right now. So invest now and save it for the future, you will thank me if you follow me but its really up to you if you want to wait and see or don't wait and invest now and watching your money increasing everyday.  Wink
459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquiao VS Horn (Boxing) on: June 23, 2017, 07:39:47 AM
In my opinion this fight is just nothing really, first of all Pacquaio retired then come back to play again because of money, and his opponent is much younger than him, I think Pacquaio is getting slow and his opponent has a chance to steal some of his belts, Pacquaio should have retired and continue his legacy and stop fighting and just teach the new generation or young one (filipinos) to make them good. Not like keep playing until you die. The point is if Pacquaio doesn't retire after this he will surely lose everything he has. He should be resting and chilling than fighting someone younger but still I will vote for Pacquaio but who knows what will happen.  Wink

460  Other / Archival / Re: Do you agree with idea "Bitcoin bank" ? on: June 23, 2017, 06:47:20 AM
Recently, i often see discussion about Bitcoin Bank. More and more people come here and ask about bitcoin bank & surprisingly i see few user agree with this idea.
So, i would like to find out the percentage of user who agreed with this idea.

Honestly, i think this idea is stupid and worst idea that i've seen in my life. What do you think?
p.s. we don't talk about bitcoin debit card OR any centralized service which only ask name and email address.

Well the idea of people asking and discussing about bitcoin bank is that because so that when the time is right and the rates are high people can withdraw their bitcoin into cash that's why there are more and more people who asks  about bitcoin bank but I do think that in the future it will soon happen I do actually approve of that not because like other people ideas but to encourage other people and advertise people about bitcoin. Bitcoin is just not ordinary currency now its big now and a lot of people and businesses are investing on it. We want all people as possible to get the knowledge about bitcoin and what is it all about and I know bitcoin will do more and help us in the future. So for me I would agree with the idea of having a bitcoin bank.  Wink
