The m30 is more future proof than the L3+

but is costs more. (as most believe it is better for the next 24 months )

I like both and own both and will continue to mine both.

You can spend 7000. get 100 L3+ and 1 m30 cost = 7200 yeah I got you over budget.

You will make good money on the L3+ for 60-70 days after that it gets murky (due to ½ ing)

The m30 will take a long time to get initial money back.

But right now 1 m30 burns 3200 watts

4 L3+ burn 3200 watts

zero power cost

a 98th m30 makes 98 x 7.5 cents  and 7.35 a day ½ in over 240 days earnings may drop  with ½ ing

4 L3= make 4 x 1 dollar  so  4 a day  ½ ing in 60-70 days earnings  may drop  a lot with ½ ing

So that higher cost builds in the the 2  ½ ings and charges more for the m30.

I am trying to blend your risk by adding in a m30.

your cheap power pushes you to the l3+
your low cost and 7000 budget pushes you to the l3+

all good but being diverse helps I suggest an m30 it does fit your budget for 1.

I have taught of this seriously and I began to have a biased concern to bitcointalk if any signatures campaigns in bitcointalk can affects the existence of bitcointalk if they commit a crime that leads to government investigations. Secondly do we believe that bitcointalk can  be obstructed by government if their is a noticeable crime by the management? From my understanding it seems to me that bitcoin existence is different from the bitcointalk forum and without the existence of bitcointalk forum bitcoin will continue existing, what's your take on this.
This idea came to me through what happened to the site of bitcointalk few days ago which I couldn't logins my account for sometimes, I wasn't happy when the incident occur. Please I asked this few questions because I want to know what I don't know, and if my question is not ideal please don't crucify me.

I think the forum could be punished for breaking laws. Laws differ from place to place.

No saying what could happen to it in the future. Also chipmixer was a big payer of bounties here. No telling if the forum faces issues down the road on this.

T15/s15 do not have much support or no modded firmware support if I were you instead buy a used s9 because it's more flexible you can use other firmware like Braiins OS and then use auto-tune to set it mine at that power.

no not if you have 220-240 volt power.

the s15 set to low  on stock bitmain firmware.

destroys the s9

20th at 900 watts low s15

9 th at 720 watts low s9 with special firmware.



one is under 50 watts a th the s15
other is 80 watts a th the s9

Now you must have 220-240 volt power to do this.




Edit an old s17 set to low will do 1300 watts and 40th

see below 39.76th and 1330 watts braiins+  BTW you could drop lower like 1200 or 1100 or even 1000

The psu fans are a bit loud on this unit  but it would likely work for you.

It looks to me like the current danger is still the head and shoulders pattern that would take the price down 30% to $20,000.  Will it happen?  I wouldn't consider it more likely that a breakout upward, but we are still trapped in this consolidation range from $26K to $30K that we've been in for over 2 months now.  Lately we have been pressing against the bottom of that range, and falling through likely would mean completing the head and shoulders pattern.  So if you're a leveraged trader, I wouldn't get too far from that sell button.  If we drop below $26K it could get ugly fast.

Just put in a 14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23  ladder and do not look for a month.

whether it is

 10 x 100 = 1,000 usd buy
 10 x 200 = 2,000 usd buy

or even a

10 x 1000 = 10,000 usd buy

you are good to go. And no worries.

Hello,

I want to start a bigger mining farm exploiting my cheap access to electricity. Which miner is most profitable at 0.01 usd/kwh? I mean, where you get most bang for the buck.


I have been looking at buying 100-200 L3+ miners, as i found them to be more profitable than the newer s19 machines for example for the same amount of money.

For 100 L3+ miners, my costs would be 0.01 usd/kwh + 300 usd/month (Cost of housing them) + 700 usd/month (Electric) all amounts are approximate.

I estabished contacts with a big reputable Chinese seller and after a lot of discussion back and forth, we agreed on 6000 usd for 100 L3+ miners. Every machine will be tested before sending it, shipping costs will be about 800-1200 usd, cheapest and slowest option. Is this a good deal? Or would you guys propose another miner?

Something that worries me a little bit is how the profits will look like after LTC will be halved, that is going to happen soon. And Im worried if this will make my setup unprofitable?

Maybe there is another miner out there, that is quite cheap right now to buy due to high watt usage, but which can be profitable at low electric costs?

The forever question for cheap power is how do I blend my gear to make good money.

A) accept perfection of your choice to be impossible.
B) determine how much power you have
C) determine how much cooling you have.

100 l3+ = 100 x 800 watts or 80kwatts that is about 275000 BTU.

I can assure you there are downsides to doing 100 of them
1) they take up space
2) they take time to manage.

I suggest a blend of gear.

(l3+)(m30)(l3+)(m30)

this would be 20 m30 and 20 L3+

or 20 x 3300 = 66000 watts for what's miner
and 20 x 800 = 16000 watts for L3+

same power only 40 units not 100

and the L3+ act as coolers for the m30 gear.

cost is more 20 x 1200 = 24000
and 20 x 75 = 1500

maybe 25500

if not acceptable

bump the L3+ to 40 say 3000
drop the m30 to 10 say 12000

15000 total outlay


much better way to play the game.

those times can be off by 20 seconds or more.  Ie block could be 35 seconds not 15. But empty blocks have happened for years nothing new here. As rewards half in 2024 it will be a bigger deal

by the time we are at 2032 we will have rewards of only 0.78125 btc if fees are running at 0.78 at this time an empty block will be an issue. I wonder if anything will be done by then.

From how I see it, it's not even the miners that are the cause of this transaction few hike that currently determines the period or duration for any transaction to be completed. It's rather the senders of the transaction that are determining which transaction the miners should attend to immediately by the amount of fees they attached to their transaction.

Just like the invisible hand of market that's exactly the case with crypto transaction delays and fast transacts right now. It's no fault of the miners.

Me as a miner can pick one of them but they set the tx they white list not me.

viabtc 9%

If I don’t pick one of them I could go days with out income.

Your gripe is with the pool owners not the miners.

only viabtc offers a free push for a stuck tx and you need to have done at least 12 sats or maybe 10 sats a byte. to push it.

So as a user of btc you need to know when the mempool clogs and then be sure to make a tx of 11 or 12 sats and then use viabtc to push the tx.

also if you think you know btc how bout the guy that spent 400 sats to rush his tx you want to fuck him or her or he she or it .

You should be asking why doesn’t every pool over 20eh do what viabtc does.

Then 82% of the blocks made could be pushed for free if they paid 10-12 sats a byte.


Wait a few ½ ings this will be worse unless LN is done perfectly.

This question triggers many things. Bitcoin mining is profitable and really good passive income. Mining depends on your situation, first you need a huge amount of money to buy the rigs and start mining. Secondly you need a continuous supply of electricity and the electricity needs to be cheap. Third and one of the important thing is you need a cool place to set up the mining rigs, because these bitcoin mining rigs heats up real good and can make so much noise.
If you call mining passive income, then you do not understand what mining is. An example of passive income is investing in stocks or renting out real estate for a long time, and you do not need to work daily.
Mining needs to be constantly monitored, and containers with ASICs need to be guarded and ASICs should be monitored so that they work correctly.

Thank you I was going to mention this as I get so fucking angry when someone calls it passive.

Friday I drove to the mine with my partner buysolar. Car ride is 1 hour 5 minutes.

We tore down the racks  and redisgned the room for cooling in the summer.

We worked at that from 2pm to 10 pm and then drove back home getting home at 1120 pm. So just about 10 hours if you count the driving.

The room is hot and loud. Plus it is dirty even with filters it gets dirty.

We finally came up with a few good cooling ideas as the room is very difficult to cool. We will be driving up next week and spend another 8 hours to fully fix it.

Plus I check all the gear in the morning remotely and at bedtime remotely. time spent on that is about 30+30 = 1 hour a day.

So passive it is not.

No own hardware. We rent the hashpower on nicehash for our Blockparty Runs.
You can add your miners on nicehash or you can rent a lot of power in different algos.

it is gambling odds are a bit against you.  Ie return on your money is about 90% if you use a nicehash rental.

Great, now that Russia has become the second largest crypto miner in the world, the western countries and their allies will want to push down even harder on crypto with more regulational nonsense and sanctions. Not that they did not want to do exactly that in the first place, but now they have found an excellent reason to stay on their course with an even higher rate of speed.

China dominated BTC mining for years, I am not talking about second largest or 20% or anything like that, it was 60% at best, at one point, Chinese mining pools had pretty close to 90% of the total hashrate, with more than half of that hashrate physically located in China, that is worse than Russia becoming the second largest BTC miner as far as the west is concerned.

Also, I don't think the West (mainly the U.S since that's what the west is all about if we are going to be somehow honest) are that stupid, they know and see the future of BTC, and they probably don't want to be left behind while other countries move closer to adopting BTC.

Or they will want to pivot to LTC/Doge with the aid of Musk.

I only wish I could  be 30-35 to see how this sha-256 vs scrypt ends up. Around 2060 (I would be 103)

So far BTC has not solved scaling and fees for the lower block rewards that are around the corner.

2060 blocks are  0.00610351 >>> this makes me think BTC will be a bridge coin to something else


Everything I come up with for btc by 2060 is pretty much a fail for worldwide currency.  You would need a perfectly done LN node for things to work .

Scrypt is far easier to do  this due to 2 LTC block and 10 DOGE blocks every 10 minutes.

Obviously Many moves will be done with east vs west or left vs right or communist vs capitalist as the 'players' making moves.
