4401  Economy / Economics / Re: Hedge funds with public ROI? on: April 08, 2019, 08:28:53 PM
I’ve heard about several good hedge funds in general, including Pantera Capital and Bit Spread, however recently came across Templar Fund and what I really liked was how they make all of their trading reports public even before registering, like you can see the ROI for every 10 days. Does anyone know any other hedge funds that do this? If so i’d love to explore them as well.
I am not aware of these hedge funds you have mentioned nor have i come across who could do that which which authentic in the crypto platform, i have dealt with fiat based in the past if you are not aware of the market, the risk involved in investing through the above mentioned companies are far greater as you never know when you are going to run away with the funds, nor you will end up in a profit, it is better to deal yourself unless you are dealing with millions of dollars, i would hire a financial advisor rather than trusting others.
4402  Local / India / Re: Small abuse the distribution of bitcoins. on: April 08, 2019, 08:12:25 PM
Hey, guys. I recently came across a video(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUnISxUl4vg). I decided to check whether this theme works, if you register multiple accounts and throw money from the promo code on one account.

If you register more than 4 accounts from one IP address, all accounts will be blocked. But 3 accounts can be registered and throw all the money on one account, you also need to play 2-3 games of roulette and you can safely withdraw.

Here is a purse where I withdraw 0.13 btc - 3FPRPzUw7k82kiwEitewsEEfweH4Qaa4EJ  Cool
What ever it may be, it is cheating their promotional offer by registering three accounts which is not the right way to do things in my opinion for a few bugs and if everyone starts doing that then which ever site you are using, it will not sustain for a long time which is not the way things have to be done, since you provided proof of your exploits why don't you sign in the message as Guvn0r pointed out  Tongue.
4403  Local / Press & News from India / Re: (04-04-2019) Indian entrepreneur implicated in $300 million Bitcoin - gets bail on: April 08, 2019, 07:16:40 PM
As previously reported by Hard Fork, Bhardwaj set up a series of Bitcoin mining firms, including GB Miners, Gain Bitcoin, and MCAP. As part of the scheme, he promised investors 10x returns for their money. Needless to say, none of his promises delivered and, instead, investors lost their hard-earned cash.
If he could accumulate that much amount of money and he was running a mining farm, i am not sure why he could not earn a profit and how come the investors lost their money, i am not sure how come he convinced people to invest this much amount into his scam.

India has seen its fair share of cryptocurrency scams in the past. In February, police in India‘s financial hub Mumbai booked a local resident for duping $250,000 out of 12 people in an alleged cryptocurrency scam.

Also in February, criminal investigation authorities in Gujarat accused five people of running a fraudulent initial coin offering (ICO) called Bitstrades.
Glad these scammers are busted and who knows how much money have being scammed in the past few years, these are the reports that have being caught, i am sure there will be many other cases to see the light.
4404  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When making a payment with Bitcoin how much extra to cover transaction fees? on: April 08, 2019, 06:51:04 PM
Hi, I've got some coin on Binance that I would like to withdraw to make a payment (for Gunbot)
How much % should I add to the quoted Gunbot price - to cover transaction fees?

(ok I looked this up  - and i ~think current transaction fee is about 0.5$ per transaction? I'm not sure if that sounds right.)
Since you are withdrawing from an exchange i am not sure why you are worried about your transaction charge as every exchange does charge some fees for their withdrawals and if i remember correctly they take 0.0005 btc to cover the transaction charges and that is their fixed charge but the transaction charge they input depends upon the network situation.
4405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion on: April 08, 2019, 06:35:05 PM
Pathan just missed a catch of Mayank and consider it as the match gone. KXIP need only 34 runs from 25 balls. It's not a big target and I am not feeling today that there will be any drama.

KXIP is winning it very easily.
Initially i thought the chase was well calculated but then they missed out completely in the last few overs and Rashid Khan always bowl economically and that took the game to the very last over and 11 off the last over made things interesting and the match went down like a thriller after that, a couple of good balls could have changed the match upside down .
4406  Economy / Economics / Re: Is small business ready to sell for cryptocurrency? on: April 08, 2019, 06:13:51 PM
Without government support on regulation, merchant must be afraid to accept crypto for payment. This will happen in near future and government will regulate cryptocurrency as currency
Even if there is no regulation regarding the crypto market the merchants can accept those payments, it all depends upon how much knowledge they have about the new market and nothing else, hopefully we will see merchants in tourist destinations that accepts it, so that we do not need to covert to local currency  when ever you need to purchase something.

small business will not go crypto payment route as they have to look for profit as they will not be ready to gamble with crypto and i dont think everything should be associated with crypto.
Hope you are not aware that the merchants can immediately convert the coins that they accumulated to fiat currency instantly and there is no risk involved too, get the payment in what ever currency in bitcoin and use a processor that will convert your bitcoin to fiat.
4407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 236: Holloway vs Poirier 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: April 08, 2019, 05:51:47 PM
Max Halloway now had a chance for revenge against Dustin Poirier But I can see that this is going to be hard for him because of the advantage Poirier had, His experience and reach is pretty much a threat against Halloway, but this can be a great fight because both fighters would surely give their all in the fight, Like in my previous post I will bet for Dustin Poirier because of his experience in the league.
Max Holloway is the bigger man but Poirier has the reach advantage, but if you are counting experience, Holloway is the champion at 145 and moving up the division for his next belt and how can you neglect that and he is riding a 13 fight winning streak that dates back from 2013 and his striking skills are excellent, i go for Max to win the fight if he is healthy.

so I think it is better if you make 1 thread only for all UFC events instead creating many threads so all discussion related to UFC will be on 1 thread only. You only need to update the main post once there is new events so it can be tracked easily. Just my 2 cents
That is the best option rather than creating new threads for every events and now we have two threads for the same event.
4408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion on: April 08, 2019, 05:15:33 PM
I was trusting Warner after Bairstow gone. I thought he will hit the balls hard but he could not. He scored but the scoring rate was too slow. In the whole innings they were only two sixes and guys what, I also have a bet of most sixes for SRH. I am sure I will lose it LOL
I am not sure why Yusuf Pathan did not come out to bat as he is a hard hitter and i am not sure what happened with Warner, is it because of good bowling or he was not timing the ball well, i did not watch the match but i was looking at the score board every now and then and looking at Warner in the crease i expected them to score above 170 runs, it looks like Kings XI Punjab will win this one with the way things are going at the moment.
4409  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit "trading" - buying and selling Bitcointalk merit on: April 08, 2019, 04:53:58 PM
If any one tries to farming accounts and tries to sell or buying merits, and any way he caught by forum moderators, then he must get negative feedback.
Rightly said and hopefully is that not the reason you got painted in your account by other members?  Wink. If you try to trick the system you will end up being caught by members who are spending their free time looking to improve the forum, you can understand if you are misusing anything if you carefully monitor your merit history and posting patterns.
4410  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PAXFUL INC SCAMS NIGERIANS MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF BITCOIN on: April 08, 2019, 04:32:56 PM
The Economic And  Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has received a petition against an Estonia Crypto firm for defrauding lots of Nigerians of their bitcoin an allegedly arbitrary account closure without reservations.
Meanwhile, the country apex bank governor had once warned the citizens that the people buying cryptocurrencies are gamblers.
I am not sure how they can simply close down user accounts without giving a proper response and just citing just terms of service violation, it looks really shady from the information that is out there, but paxful is in business for some time and i am hearing about this for the first time, i personally never used their service, but closing down legit users with funds and never return them is insane.
4411  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has the market completely recovered on: April 08, 2019, 03:58:13 PM
If there are really rich investors joining, the market will continue to get better. They will continue to speculate and pump prices up in the near future, hopefully not bubbles.
There are investments coming in and during the price rally we saw a few days back, there was a huge investment from unknown sources and if there are huge investment from fund houses the market will shoot to the moon, hopefully we will see a big rally the next time around and the price holds up, the recovery process from the bear grasp is promising.

The next target of BTC I am expecting now is the next value in this bull race which should be around $7k by may ending, this is how we will keep growing till probably it reach its ATH again.
For the market to touch the all time valuation it might take a couple of years, we are seeing the recovery process but that does not mean that we will touch an all time high during this recovery process.
4412  Economy / Economics / Re: harmonization of fiat and crypto on: April 08, 2019, 03:10:23 PM
I guess they are both going to be used, but as time goes by, one of them will start to overtake the other, causing the other to disappear completely and winner will be most likely crypto.
I am not sure about anything over taking either one, they will co exist and the combination of both these financial structure will make things easy for everyone, no government will not get rid of their economic system to be decentralized and hence fiat will exist and bitcoin will be another mode of payment and transaction model for international trading.
4413  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: short term, cheap btc cloud mining??? on: April 08, 2019, 02:12:19 PM
short term, cheap btc cloud mining???
There is no short term or long term cloud mining sites that will guarantee you a profit and in that you are looking for a short term cheap one  Grin, if you break even then you will be lucky, i would suggest you to do something else or invest in some penny stocks rather than wasting your money in cloud mining, just have a normal search and you will understand about the experience of others who wasted their money for that.
4414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the biggest venture capital fund that human kind ever made on: April 08, 2019, 01:52:14 PM
The dislike factor of Bitcoin by some people:
1.Price volatility
It is a new market place and it is bound to be volatile, imagine how volatile the stock market was when it began, the price would swing just because of rumors in the beginning and that is what we are seeing in this market too.
Quote
2.High Price
Bitcoin has is limited in number and it is bound to have an increased price with more investors coming into the market.
Quote
3.Waste of Electricity
For a decentralized system to function you need to shell out some money and they are not mining at a loss and where is the wastage comes from.
Quote
4.Lack of supervision
As mentioned above it is a new market and there is a lot of things to be implemented and lack of supervision in what sense, i am not clear about that.
Quote
2.The Venture Capital that everyone can join. You can buy bitcoin with different methods, not only from exchanges, but also
by your credit card,by mining,by work etc.
The charges are really high to purchase using a credit card and the formality is high for the verification process and mining is not a feasible business model for everyone.
4415  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC now above $5k, seem like its not just a pump? on: April 08, 2019, 12:20:01 PM
I hope bitcoin could raised USD 10,000 and make all of altcoin price will grow up, I have tired waiting more than two years with bitcoin still lower price, by the way hope the same with altcoin could raised up to higher price again.
The market will rise eventually, the bear market is off the clutch but that does not mean that the price of bitcoin will soar again and touch the all time high valuation in the next few months, the market will recover along with the price of bitcoin, but there will be a time when everyone starts selling the rest of the coins and entering into bitcoin when the bull rally starts.

Well, we cannot still say that we are safe and bear market is over. We have a strong resistance at 5400$ and once we cross it only then we can confirm that bear market phase is over.
We will break every resistance in the next couple of years before the bull run, earlier the resistance was around $4200 and now the next level of resistance and hopefully we have a good support at $4200, the bear market is over, but we will see a range bound trading till we see a bull run.
4416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: April 08, 2019, 11:53:01 AM
Okay let's not make this post talking back and forth about the popularity, who play and who do not play types of arguable comments. In this forum, the cricket community is very small. Honestly speaking there are only few of us. I think I can count them easily and call their names however I am sure there will be more in the future. Let's enjoy the matches and move on.
It was just a small banter to keep the communication going buddy and it is nothing personal nor never intended to hurt anyone's feelings, sure it is a small community of cricket lovers here and let the conversation continue. Wink

Quote
To me, the popularity or anything else about cricket does not matter. I love cricket, I go crazy when my team wins, hit sixes, hit fours, takes wickets. That's matter for me. And I will be doing whatever I can do in my power to give my time and wealth to this sports.
Cheers :-)
Now a days i watch cricket when ever i get time, there was a time when i used to watch every ball being bowled and i remember almost all the matches i watched and a time where i used to spend the entire day in the cricket ground playing all day long but with time and age some things change for the better and that is life. Smiley
4417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I think the bear market is over for some coins on: April 08, 2019, 11:04:47 AM
in my personal opinion the best dahulualtcoin still belongs to eth and I am still confident and believe that with ETH it will be more developed and advanced as the best altcoin
If you mean that the best coin will be the coin with the most market cap, then ETH will be that altcoin, since you are talking about development and advancement, they are trying hard to have more transactions per second which is a good thing but when it comes to privacy, i would prefer other coins .Every coin moves only if the price of bitcoin moves and the market is showing signs of recovery with the help of bitcoin.

@sirminesalot i still did not understand what you mean by dahulualtcoin   Tongue
4418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can REGULATION Really Be Beneficial to Bitcoin? on: April 08, 2019, 10:29:12 AM
Regulation not yet have benefit for bitcoin, just giving bitcoin limited and hard to get higher price, always give bitcoin space for price is on higher or lower, when price of bitcoin lower we can buy but when higher we can sell.
Regulations alone will not impact the long term price of bitcoin, but we will see more investment from the financial fund houses and it might increase the price, we need strict regulations when it comes to collecting funds and running of exchanges, but that does not mean that it will affect the market altogether, it just restrict the scammers to scam easily like they did in the past, with every security feature we are loosing our privacy and there is nothing that can be done.

@Royse guess you are talking about this post?

@eaLiTy you might wanna Click this
Yh this was the post. Thanks bud.
@eaLiTy, feel free to read those references. Cricket is not only popular in India but in the whole world. Over 2 Billion people loves cricket. Not a small number :-)
What i was trying to tell is that the huge popularity of the sport is because of the huge population in these countries, like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and their combined population will be around 1.8 Billion, add Srilanka and Afghanistan combined you will get over 2 Billion people  Cheesy, it was just a jab i intended in my last post, the reality i know is that i have being to some European countries where they have not heard about the sport of cricket, it is very popular in common wealth countries and only these countries are playing cricket in international level too, in layman terms which ever countries the British conquered during their reign, they play cricket Cheesy, i did not dispute about the popularity of the sport and i know very well how popular it is in Asian countries and GCC where you will see many tournaments on a weekly basis.

@JSRAW, cheers mate.
4420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Cardano Replace Bitcoin in 10 Years? on: April 08, 2019, 08:32:16 AM
If Cardano manages to successfully launch PoS, and it really gets so decentralized as Charles claims, I think in the next 10 years Cardano can surpass Bitcoin, not just as a utility but as a marketcap and a store of value.
Nothing is going to replace bitcoin and the brand it has become is really hard to be replaced by something else, people will be using the best service or transactions platforms but to surpass bitcoin is just a dream, Cardano might be a good project but only time will tell how successful they will be.
I would like to see whether Cardano will be in the top ten list in the next ten years, we have seen many coins coming up and going down in due time  Tongue.
