4401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: April 25, 2019, 06:28:01 AM
In absolute amazement watching the Warriors lose at home again to the Clippers!
The Warriors were in control after the 1st Quarter but then just gave up.
It will be interesting to see how they rebound and if they can win 1 of the next games on the road.
4402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC or ETH, what good to own now?? on: April 25, 2019, 06:25:23 AM
If you ever find yourself in the position where you are debating between one coin or another, just go 50% on each.
Diversifying is very important part of your crypto portfolio and clearly you have chosen the top 2 you are interested in.
Anyone who is claiming one is better then the other is trying to persuade you for their own personal gain.
4403  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it possible for us to hack some gambling sites? on: April 25, 2019, 06:21:35 AM
The online casinos spend a lot of money on security to prevent even the best hacker's from accessing their information.
I have never heard of a gambling site being hacked which is kind of surprising considering sites like Mt. Gox and Cryptsy were hacked.
It must be easier for hackers to bypass the security of exchanges since we dont hear about gambling sites being hacked very often if ever at all.
4404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with bonuses only on: April 25, 2019, 06:18:12 AM
Even if you were to go from casino to casino strictly collecting bonuses, you would eventually run out of free bonuses.
If you did this at 5 different casinos each day, if there are 100 casinos, this strategy would only last for 3 weeks.
4405  Bitcoin / Press / [2019-04-22] You Can Now Shop With Bitcoin on Amazon Using Lightning on: April 23, 2019, 01:17:43 AM
https://www.coindesk.com/you-can-now-shop-with-bitcoin-on-amazon-using-lightning

Bitcoin spenders can now use the lightning network to shop at e-commerce sites like Amazon.

Crypto payment processing startup Moon announced today that any lightning-enabled wallet can now also be used through Moon’s browser extension. Before this lightning feature, roughly 250 beta users already used Moon to spend crypto on e-commerce sites by connecting the browser extension to exchange accounts like Coinbase.

Moon CEO Ken Kruger told CoinDesk:
“[The extension] will pop up a QR code and it will have the lightning invoice, which you could also copy and paste if you can’t use the QR code for some reason, and you’ll be able to pay with your favorite lightning wallet.”

To be clear, Amazon itself never touches bitcoin. Kruger declined to specify which traditional financial institutions are helping convert the bitcoin to fiat on the backend so that Amazon merchants actually receive fiat currency for their wares. However, Kruger added that by 2020 the lightning-enabled feature should work on almost any e-commerce site, regardless of whether that platform accepts bitcoin directly.

“There’s no direct merchant integration,” Kruger said, clarifying that Moon also manages payment channels and merely offers a simple interface for sending payments.

“We’re integrating with the Visa and Mastercard networks and we get a cut of the interchange fees that merchants pay every time they receive a credit card transaction,” he said.

Moon was founded in New York last year and grew to a staff of three people with just $100,000 invested by the Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator. The accelerator’s managing director, Murat Aktihanoglu, told CoinDesk he sees Moon as one of the “anchor” crypto businesses with lucrative potential over the next five years.

“We invested in Moon as a long-term portfolio company,” Aktihanoglu said.

In the meantime, Kruger said his startup is looking to raise a Series A in 2019 and continue learning from user behavior.

“There’s a lot of opportunities to help solve some of those usability problems and getting people onto the lightning network, increasing adoption in that way,” Kruger said. “We’re going to engage with other folks in the lightning community to see what people are doing, what they’re working on and if there are any significant gaps. We’d love to step in and help whenever possible.”

UPDATE (April 22, 14:10 UTC): The extension’s lightning network functionality is still being reviewed by the Chrome Web Store and is now anticipated to launch on Wednesday, according to Moon.
4406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crawford vs Khan on: April 23, 2019, 01:10:59 AM
Well I didnt see this match ending up as it did and surely many people are not happy with the way Khan went out.
I thought it was going to be over when Khan was knocked down early on but he showed the pride of a champion.
This is not how someone quits in the sports as some outlets are reporting.
Khan wanted to continue but his coaches had seen enough.   Khan will return you can be assured of that!
4407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason mining was banned in China on: April 23, 2019, 01:06:46 AM
With all the coins being mined over in China I reckon it near be impossible to ban all mining.
I know the Chinese government thinks Bitcoin is wasteful and would prefer to do without.
Note to mention that just because it is illegal it does not mean people in China will suddenly stop mining especially if they have been earning profits doing so.
4408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gives new Cryptocasino with no deposit Bonus? on: April 23, 2019, 01:00:46 AM
I must not be the only one confused by the original question in the title.
He asks for 'no deposit bonus' but he wants a 'free bonus in cryptocurrency'.
Must make sure you understand the rules before you expect a nice a large casino bonus.

4409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with bonuses only on: April 23, 2019, 12:57:14 AM
I think the rollover system for casinos is difficult to understand and for this reason people end up with problems.
For example I dont recall which one it was but 1 casino had a 20x rollover.
So someone has to win 20 times multiplied in order to collect bones.
This is horrible odds and a joke for punters to get hooked at the casino.
4410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: thinking quiting after lose on gambling. on: April 23, 2019, 12:55:21 AM
Over the weekend I didnt think MAN U would lose 0:4 or did I think Arsenal/Crystal Palace would score so many goals  Angry
So it goes without estimate that I lost some hard earned money that I wish I never bet in the first place.
Hoping MAN U is more impressive this week or I will be taking a break from gambling.
4411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with your Parents on: April 21, 2019, 10:54:48 PM
I play fantasy sports with my father who likes to gamble a lot more then me.
I could not imagine sitting at a poker match with him and watch him lose his money so fast.
4412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have experience betting in a spider fight? on: April 21, 2019, 10:40:28 PM
What is this country?  If you post some pictures like the thread with those ant fights it would be nice.
I think there is much interest for all surts of insects doing this.
4413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC FN 149: Overeem vs Oleinik Prediction and Info Thread on: April 21, 2019, 10:37:46 PM
^  'Destroyed'?  Nah...  Overeem had to get thru a lot in that first and only round imo.  He was just one grazing punch over the head before getting reemed.  Lololol.
Agreee that this was not a walk in the park for overeem.
Fight could have ended at any time but yes the end result was a destruction

4415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does convince people to enjoy gambling is a wrong idea? on: April 19, 2019, 06:27:36 PM
No I dont think if a adult wants to gamble then its a wrong idea.
The same thing can be said about having a few beers at a bar and encouraging your friends.
Its all about self control and if youre able to gamble in moderation I dont see it as a wrong idea.
4416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao Sign Up with Rizin Fighting Federation on: April 18, 2019, 07:17:09 PM
Since Mayweather also fought in Rizin and Asian public likes freak matches, maybe Manny should fight Mayweather by MMA rules ? Cheesy
Best idea yet  Grin
I say they do it in Dubai and are each paid 450million Euros
This is a big joke,  money is coming only from the revenue of the event and I don't think the usual supporters would appreciate watching them do this.
It's a big loss from the promoters side if they will pay this kind of huge amount.

I disagree with you that this is a big joke.  If there are wealthy people willing to pay, participants willing to compete and plenty of money to go around then no one will be laughing at the revenue generated.
There has been many fights like this that have happened in Asia over the years (think Muhammad Ali) as the Asian culture appreciates side shows like these.
4417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on an insect fight? on: April 18, 2019, 07:14:16 PM
LOL my oh my I would never bet my money on a insect fight.
Now I would not have any problem if children wanted to partake in this activity.
Reason being that insects arent pets such as cocks and dogs are.
It is difficult to build a emotional relationship with a ant,
Funny topic please post some videos of possible.
4418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you gamble? Please voice your opinion! on: April 18, 2019, 07:12:25 PM
Well the main reason I choose to occasionally gamble is the rush that I receive just knowing at any time, I can hit a jackpot.
If I am playing slots for a say 15 minutes, I am content if I only lose a few bucks and even more happier if I win anything.
Anyone thinking they can gamble daily and constantly win needs to check basic math.
4419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Start a Bitcoin Casino/Sports Gambling Business (Checklist) on: April 18, 2019, 07:10:06 PM
Very informative post and starting a casino/sportsbook is a very expensive business practice to become involved in.
It is to no surprise that I can see why most of the casinos offering ICOs have done so poorly.
They needed the proper funding they didnt have when they started their project.
