4401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: July 06, 2022, 11:10:41 PM
The thing with Bivol is that he is tall, so Canelo has difficulty getting inside because Bivol know how to used his reach advantage. GGG obviously doesn't have the height, so this is going to be pure brawl, 12 rounds of full pack action, hehehehe.

Bivol is only 9cm taller, and has only 4cm reach advantage. I am not a super expert in boxing, but that isnt that advantage to be so dominant in their fight. GGG is also a bit taller than Canelo. Imho, in the Canelo vs Bivol fight, Canelo was aimed on a KO, while Bivol on gaining points. Good defence, speed in legs and little reach advantage beat heavy Canelo punches.

Bivol shows us how a pure light weight like him, with the height and reach or even the weight advantage can be dominant with the pound for pound boxer like Canelo. So I would say that he really uses all his toll. Canelo just hits his arm and can't get inside because he is taller and Bivol says that his arm hurts because of all the punch that Canelo throw, meaning it only landed below his face. And we can conclude that it is because of Bivol's height.

I am not following Canelos career so closely, but it seems that he has changed his coaches. From a guy that throws combos he has turned into a bull that is looking for one punch knockout (sort of a Deontay Wilder). Stepping in the ring with such tactics against GGG might be dangerous or useless.

He hasn't change coaches yet, Eddy Reynoso has been his trainer and Eddy's father and they have molded Canelo to be the best boxers we have in this generation. And I doubt that Canelo will switch trainer.
4402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If USDD is "overcollaterized", why did it lose its peg? on: July 06, 2022, 11:01:31 AM
Being richer and have more money in pocket are not helpful if he does not intend to save USDD and TRON. Do Kwon made a bad decision to choose one and leave another die and what he chose is simply a serious mistake. If he chose $LUNA, he should save it rather than kill both tokens. Terra Foundation Guard used their reserved to save UST and failed. In the end, they lost most of money and can not save anything.

Justin Sun from beginning of the USDD de-peg crisis chose a good way to handle it. Spend money and try to handle the crisis. At least now we can see USDD gradually reclaims its peg. It is supported by general market too. Personally I still feel unsafe with algorithm stable coin, not only USDD. We don't know how bad the market will be and company can not make over collaterization forever. It has limited capital in pocket.

Justin Sun better play his cards right for the good of the crypto/Blockchain industry. Otherwise, another collapse like Terra/LUNA will further diminish investors' confidence into cryptocurrencies as reliable, long-term investments. You can bet prices will further decline if something like that happened now. Last time I've checked, USDD's peg was restored so I guess Justin proved me wrong. Still, USDD is a risky algorithmic stablecoin so I'd proceed with caution just in case. With regulators paying close attention to crypto's latest developments, we might see investor protections further down the road. Who knows if USDD becomes the first algorithmic stablecoin to hold its peg for generations? Just my thoughts Grin

Yes, the risk is still there, I agree, even if he was able to restore it, doesn't mean that will not collapse as what happen to Luna. An I'm not sure as well if they are really over overcollaterized. Maybe they have surplus of reserves, but can they stay that long specially in the worsening market conditions? Besides, I think Justin has lost the luster of being the "shill God" of crypto. Specially the public meltdown between him and CZ.
4403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 06, 2022, 10:07:13 AM
Chet Holmgren looking like a good prospect. He put up 23 points, 7 rebounds, & 6 blocks (summer league record) along with shooting 4/6 from three point range. The Thunder might have themselves a good rookie on their hands. He’s going to need to put on weight but Giannis did it. With Chet’s size and skills he could be a very interesting player to watch as he starts his career.

Yeah, I saw the highlights, as he battle Tacko Fall and another 7'0 foot guy. And I would say that this kid has a lot of potential, he can shoot outside, like Dirk, has the moves like Durant as wall. Of course, the kid is very young, his body is not yet developed, so there is a lot of room for improvement as far as his size goes. But definitely, this is a good pick by the Thunder and hopefully they can developed him.
4404  Economy / Speculation / Re: 4hr chart! on: July 06, 2022, 08:12:41 AM
The 4hr chart shows bitcoin hovering around the upper level of the bollinger band. This has resulted in rapid dumping of corn throughout 2022, so now is not the time to fomo.

I think it's pretty obvious that we will see a continues dump this year, might not be rapid at it will take months, up to the end of the year at least.

As for FOMO? I think it should be opposite, smart investors should be accumulating at this point. No need to FOMO, it is only in bull market. Now is the time to buy cheap bitcoin and then just HODL, there is no simpler formula than that in a bear market.
4405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker claims to have stolen 1 B records of Chinese citizens, demands 10 BTC on: July 06, 2022, 07:34:54 AM
Just baffling though that the hackers is asking for just 10 BTC? Maybe he thinks that asking for me, the Chinese government or whoever agency is not going to pay him?

He'll get arrested by Chinese police long before he sees a sat from this.

He knows that BTC is banned in China, I'm not sure who in the country would want (or can) pay him.

Yeah, for sure the Chinese police are on the manhunt for this guy and maybe just a matter of time. The question is if they are late, maybe it was already in the dark web and some entities are willing to pay him with 10 BTC, so it's a bargain that anyone is willing to pay. And this could be the reason why this asking price is not that big, not even million of dollars are the current rate. So that he can get rid of the data and will not touch the ransom money for a long time and wait till we are in a bullish season again and obviously, that amount will grow as far as fiat value goes.
4406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: July 06, 2022, 06:57:04 AM
Looking at the current odds:

ML
Alvarez - 1.21
GGG - 3.95

So that is a huge disparity as far as the odds goes and they seems to really favoring Alvarez here. Maybe the age factor is what this bookies are looking at, GGG just won his last fight, while Canelo lost to Bivol. I think it's a great odds for GGG supporters this early as it is very attractive.

Agreed but do you not speculate GGG to be very underestmated for this fight? Canelo has only recently lost to Bivol. It was on a higher weight division, yes, however is Canelo ready for this only months after the loss? Bivol has also showed everyone the style on how to win vs. Canelo. Also, do you see this fight to reach round 12?

Definitely, GGG is underestimated here against his arch-nemesis. There fight has been so close that others argued that it could be GGG 2-0 or GGG 1-0. But we all know that Canelo has been given special treatment and even after coming from a humiliating lost, they still call him the favorite in this fight when that huge odds in the beginning. I will just be basing on their last fight, those lasted full 12 rounds, both have a tough chin, so yeah, it will reach 12 rounds in my book again.

Hehehe good to have my thoughts in agreement with yours. My only only wish for this is the sportsbooks begin offering the odds for over or under rounds betting on 7.5 rounds. This would imply that they might be expecting the fight to be a knockout victory for Canelo. GGG might use an intelligent jab similar to Bivol, however. Canelo bettors, you might develop post traumatic stress disorder after watching this heheheheh. It will not be easy for the middleweight champion.

The fight is still very far though, we might see the over and under odds once the fight gets closer. No sure if it will be 7.5 rounds, might be higher I reckon.

The thing with Bivol is that he is tall, so Canelo has difficulty getting inside because Bivol know how to used his reach advantage. GGG obviously doesn't have the height, so this is going to be pure brawl, 12 rounds of full pack action, hehehehe.
4407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 06, 2022, 02:24:35 AM
In the voting, four votes have already been cast for Magsayo, I also bet on his victory on stake.com it remains only to wait for the fight, in any case, I hope for a spectacular fight. Smiley

I wanted to wait for more options, but I have pulled the trigger with the ML as well; (missed it when Mark is 2.x)

But I will still go with the knockout or the range of rounds for Magsayo. They will definitely listed this, maybe 24 hours before the fight so for those who want to bet on that, maybe a little patience is needed. But if you don't have like me, hehehehe, ML with some decent bet will do for now.
4408  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: July 06, 2022, 01:50:20 AM
So heto na nga yung pinag uusapan natin dati sa Jazz, si Rudy Gobert,  Sources: Utah Jazz trading star center Rudy Gobert to Minnesota Timberwolves for four first-round picks. Na trade na nga sya papuntang T'Wolves kapalit ng

Quote
Jazz receive: Malik Beasley, Patrick Beverley, Walker Kessler, Jarred Vanderbilt, Leandro Bolmaro, a 2023 first-round pick, a 2025 first-round pick, a 2027 first-round pick (all unprotected) and a top-5 protected 2029 first-round pick

Madami dami na ring updates pala, Zion W. 5 year max rookie extension na aabot sa $231 million over 5 years.

Si Garland naman $193 M 5 year din extension sa Cavs na pede rin umabot sa $231 million.
4409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 04, 2022, 10:18:54 PM

Warriors have proven that they don't need Durant to win, so there's no reason they will trade their young talent in order to accommodate Durant. Also, that will affect the legacy of Curry as with Durant, his production might be limited since during the seasons that they won a championship with Durant, it was also Durant who is the Finals MVP.

They have proven it last season when they won a championship, so this team does not need another superstar to improve their roster as the big 3 is already enough to win a championship. Besides, there's no news yet that Wiggins will be traded, so they might keep him and they are still intact even with some new players will be filled for the players that has already signed with other teams.
I think that's one big question mark when Durant left them, if they can win and Steph has proven it. Although they have lost a lot of players already, GPII is one Portland now, JTA signed with the Lakers, and Otto Porter with Raptors, Damion Lee with the Suns, Nemanja Bjelica is also gonna leave for his beloved Turkey.

They have gotten DiVincenzo though, so he has a lot to fill with the Warriors. But still the core remains and hopefully Wiggins and Poole can stay as well.

Yeah they can replace those players you just mentioned.  If they keep steph, dreymond, klay and Poole and Wiggins the rest of the team just has to play their role.  They got to resign looney too.  Warriors will be another tough out next year already.  No need to bleed the team just for Durant.  I could see if they got knocked out early but not with this squad.

Of course, players win championships for the organizations, but the Warriors has a system that it's like so perfect that they can replace those players again as if nothing has change, the well oiled machine is going to play again no matter who the driver is.

And it's good to see those players getting a better pay specially Payton, he really played well in the Warriors uniform.
4410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kazuto Ioka vs Donnie Nietes II on: July 04, 2022, 11:41:01 AM
I follow you with your opinion, I also see the same maybe because of age Nietes will not be the same as he was but with the discipline and proper trainings before this rematch, the chance of him winning again is very possible, he and his camp though needs to review every fights that Ioka have and see what particular edge if there's some part that they can still gain the advantage.

Though, home-crowd may affect Ioka's performance and he can be more aggressive, which Nietes needs to anticipate and follow in the

right strategy to counter Ioka's attempts.

After some thought especially the place of the event, why am I thinking that Nietes is more likely to lose if ever the fight goes to score card?  I don't know but I have a biased feeling that Japanese judges would declare their boxer winner regardless of the ring performance.  So I think for Nietes to get the title, he needs to floor the champion or else there is a huge possibility that Nietes will lose the fight.

Depends on situation because if we see Nietes knock off his opponent well maybe the judges will  struggle to find some loophole to make their favored fighter to win so Nietes need to score more solid punches or much better score a good K.O to seal this fight. But I'm confident that Nietes will get this match because seeing how good and still his in good shape we can say that he's still have advantage to take the win on their match up.

Nietes though is not known to be a knockout artist, even at his prime,  he will put a clinical display that's why he was able to stay as the champion for a long time. It's his technical skills that will beat the opponent, by just frustrating them and maybe majority quit before the final bell because he is that good. OF course, we wanted to see a highlight knock out agains the champion. But if that is not achieved, perhaps he can win in the judges scorecard with this boxing skills.

What is it that everyone turns out to be a CIA Agent in crypto world? It's this Plan B's plan b? Lol, when his S2F model fails then we need some shills and spread the news that he is indeed a CIA agent to distract everyone from him?

So yeah, I don't believed anything that the OP says here, it doesn't make sense at all. Let's just admit that the model was good until it didn't work as the price didn't reach $100k obviously.
4413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is for big bag holders on: July 04, 2022, 10:00:04 AM
After this experience I believe gambling is for the big bag holders, if you're in urge of making a win. Very much disappointed, because it is the last few dollars I had as a cryptocurrency holding. If I had more funds I wouldn't have encountered this big loss. Martingale once again a failed strategy when you don't have big bag of money.

I guess you are just too emotional, same here, when I played, I wish I have more capital so that I can wager max bet every game or even in every slots. But it is what it is, we have to take into consideration our budget and we have to play around with it. Specially if you have sort of experience better betting huge because you have big capital back then. But as time goes by, we need to adjust so that we can continue and play. As for the Martingale, it's a hit or miss strategy, it is still have some element of luck in order for this strategy to work.
4414  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to 30k Range again on: July 04, 2022, 09:29:14 AM
It seems that the bearish trend is still happening again and many experts believe that the market will rise again in August, if this happens there will be a trend in 2021, the price of dropping in June and last July began to rise in August, so I preferred to buy.

It is not seems, the Bitcoin market had already been in a bear market for months now.  Some vlogger thinks that some good thing will happen in September but without him giving a proper backup and proof, I doubt that.  I think we won't be seeing Bitcoin at the $30k range until next year.  I hope I am wrong but that is what most news and market sentiment feels like nowadays.
That $30k would come anytime soon but since we are already in a bear trend the chances that we'll see it again is far from the reality yet. Maybe we'll get close to $25k or lower than that since we are in a bear market, I think $30k would be a dumping price of the other holder who's just waiting to see an opportunity. This month would be a long day to be thinking that Bitcoin would break and pump but it will take some fomo if the market want to pump. Whales will do pump them once but we don't know yet when would be that time.

Yeah, it's either $13k or $30k for us at least at the end of the year. So for now, we really don't know what the price will be, and even if we reaches $30k, we are still going to be in the bear market. So might see some sell-off again if we reach that price, pushing the market into another bloodbath. Nevertheless, if will be good though, at least the market is going to be active, there will be sellers and then corresponding buyers. It's not that we will see selling as the majority of the volumes.
4415  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: advice for who are witnessing this market for the first time. on: July 04, 2022, 08:57:50 AM
Any advice from those who have been in crypto for a long time for those who are seeing this market for the first time?

Market works in cycle: bulls and bears. In bull run the price is going up, majority of the coins are going to reach their all time high. But how can we earn more profit in bull run? Then the answer is that when the price is really down in the bear market, that is the time to buy because they are very cheap and just have the mental toughness to hold and wait for the next bull cycle.

So if you are seeing this market for the first time, don't be discouraged, on the contrary, take this opportunity to accumulate.
4416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 04, 2022, 08:26:40 AM
....But the argument is, can he get this team at least to the NBA finals? Although Jamal Murray and then Porter Jr was injured, but if both or at least one of them play next season, I'm expecting the Dallas to make a run to the championship.
No if it's just him and some role players.
No again if one of the trio is missing.

Not to devalue the competition in the East but we're talking about the Western Conference here. Each team needs at least three guys to contribute on a consistent basis if they want a higher chance at getting to the Finals.

Yeah, but we have seen Luka doing it in the West beating the top seed Suns. In the beginning they are doing good when Porter Jr went down. But yet they still manage to win the playoffs.

And with Jokic's caliber, and some of their role players, Perhaps Jokic + Porter Jr, or Jokic + Murray might be good to contend in a very competitive West. Of course, they need to be complete, but at least someone who can complement him is needed to get past the 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs.

And then we have a shift of the odds again, very strange, I thought that Magsayo will remain the favorite, nevertheless this is where the Stake.com odds are:

Magsayo - 1.97
Vargas - 1.81

So somewhere, this is a huge money suddenly going into Vargas when they saw him being the underdog. So this is another great opportunity for Magsayo's supporters, because his odds went to 1.83 (still good), but the current odds is much better.
4419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 03, 2022, 11:59:19 PM
There's no doubt he is the best fighter now in the bantamweight division, and I don't think he will have a hard time beating Butler if both will agree to unify their belts. I'm already seeing a massive favorite on the side of Inoue as Butler although a champion is not ranked at the top compared to Inoue who is a pound for pound fighter.

Butler's record isn't impressive, with 2 losses and less than 50% KO victory.  And I think Butlers also suffered a KO on his 2 losses so I don't think he is tougher than any opponent Inoue has met.  Butler was floored by Zolani Tete on the eight-round when he was hit by two consecutive left uppercuts.[1]  So it is highly likely that Butler will kiss the canvas if these two fighters meet in the boxing ring.

Speaking of Zolani Tete, he will have a fight against another British fighter, Jason Cunningham in an undercard of Joyce vs Hammer. The fight will be contested on 122 lbs, we all know that Casimero knock out Tete to get the WBO belt.

https://www.dazn.com/en-PH/news/boxing/jason-cunningham-vs-zolani-tete-date-fight-time-tv-channel-and-live-stream/1n7o9m3w9jgn31n7msgues080a

This fight didn't last as Zolani Tete blasted Cunningham from the beginning to score a sensational 4th round knock out.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lH8JIyygP60

So he puts his name again on the map as could be the challenger for a world title. Cunningham is good no doubt about it winning the Commonwealth title, but Tete is on a different levels and hopefully he is ok because it seems he was knock out cold.

He was able to bounce back from an unexpected loss from Casimero, but unfortunately, Casimero has not come back yet, don't know if he can still have a big fight after he wasted his opportunity to fight Inoue but some bad decision making. Maybe a rematch for Tete and Casimero, that would be an entertaining fight for sure.

But Tete has move to a higher division in this fight, super bantamweight division at 122 lbs. So if ever they will have to face again, Casimero might have to move up as well. Well we have been talking about him not making the 118 lbs anymore (he was caught using sauna's to remove excess weight, strip of his belt).

Maybe for the last time Casimero will fight at this weight and target Bulter to get his belt back. Or if extended, fight what we all have been waiting for, Inoue.
4420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meta (facebook) launches NFT display options on Facebook. on: July 03, 2022, 11:42:55 PM
Will facebook users will still have the option to use metamask or facebook will develop his own wallet?
As a start, they can/able to simply connect the address with the current popular web3 wallet, that seems the reasonable thing to do even after it's been established, noting Twitter also does that. It gives both the user and the company not much of a hassle since the targeted users are already familiar with it.

I am not a facebook/instagram user myself.
According to this article, users will be able to connect Rainbow, Trust Wallet and MetaMask accounts to verify NFT ownership.
https://www.socialmediatoday.com/news/meta-launches-new-nft-display-options-on-facebook/626428/

Maybe it those wallets are going to be hacked, then obviously, you personal details might be exposed as well, so there is a privacy risk. I mean privacy risk is always there, regardless if it is Facebook or not. The problem lies on how they as a company going to protect our data. And they have the history of selling it right?  Facebook sued over Cambridge Analytica data scandal. So I wouldn't be confident with them, or the contrary, I will not take advantage of any NFT that they are going to advertised.
