He believes the price of bitcoin will increase as the currency becomes more mainstream.

“It's only going to go up,” Suarez said.

I love the positive vibe about its only going to go up but I wonder how the media would write about this in case we see another crash like 2 years ago. We know for sure that bitcoin is definitely a hold for long term but yeah bad news is a great headline for the mainstream media

That's a real risk for the public funds but if it's just part of the diversification

Every investments are basically risk but it could pay off if you made the right decision. In this case it could be too late too catch the bull unless this is for a really long term investment .
4422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: January 19, 2021, 10:31:37 PM
For MU supporters it's bad, because their point difference will easily be overtaken Man City.

Its not that bad if you think about it. In fact its good enough because if you watch the game, you could see how dominating Liverpool was. Liverpool could have scored and win but they didnt so its good enough and getting 1 point is better than losing

There are still tons of matches though, Manchester City could lose to one of those so no biggie

A very poor match from Chelsea who has not had any tactics or put up a fight at Leicester ground. As Leicester win 2 goals at home and move to the top of the premier league albeit temporary.

Your post sounds like Leicester is a pretty bad team but in fact Leicester has been great this season while Chelsea's recent performances are far from being okay at the moment so its kinda normal to see Leicester win a home game. What would you expect on this match? Chelsea to win easily in an away game? thats not going to happen
4423  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Cryptocurrencies Really Money? on: January 19, 2021, 07:50:22 PM
2.   Are crypto currencies really money? The poll result was; Yes (79.9%) and no (20.1%)

Everyone that voted YES for this means they atleast own some cryptocurrencies otherwise they would have voted for NO. Majority of people would still think that cryptocurrency means bitcoin and only bitcoin which is lame

Cryptocurrencies are definitely money, and by money we mean something which we can use to prove our work and hence we can use it to get something of equal value in return from the planet.

What does money means for you? For the mass majority, it would means as a medium for exchange. That means unless you can purchase something with it, its not money for the mass majority. In some country, you can purchase things directly using crypto but in majorities of other countries you cant. Do you get my point?

Its just a matter of perspective
4424  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcointalk poker series #2 hosted by Betnomi on: January 19, 2021, 05:40:55 PM
1st: 40.1% of Prize Pool
2nd: 39.9% of Prize Pool
3rd: 20% of Prize Pool

The last Grand Finale prize distribution was 50%, 30% and 20%

I am in! Last Sunday evening was "empty" without poker game! I thought to enter some random tournament, but after a quick search I gave up... the ones I found interesting (buy-in, reward...) had 25 levels late registration...it was I need to play hours and hours...

Thats normal if you are a hardcore MTT grinder but if it is a bounty hunter tournament then there is an advantage with playing for hours before the registration ended. You could knock out few recreational players , build some good stack for a deep run and probably make it to the final table

0-12 players average= $750  finale
13-24 players = $1250  finale
25+ = $1750  finale

I think this is fair!

The previous series has 11.25 on average with 90 entries. We need 14 more atleast to get $1250 guaranteed prizepool for the Grand Finale. It would be great if we could have $1750 but yeah We'll settle with 15+ players on average for now

@johhnyUA : I hope you read this and will consider to join this series, buy in for the tournament is 15 euro or somewhere around $12.86  Smiley

Other original house game is being developed as we speak  Smiley

Every week new slots getting added to the site

More will come for sure !

I tried Street Fighter, I played it when I was a kid! Nice term "dead spins", I have like more than 50 spins and most of them were dead, and I didn't play more!

Lol yeah and the most disgusting thing when playing slot is when you hit the bonus round but most of them are dead spins, its pretty tilting. I knew about Street Fighter slot from the chatbox, otherwise I wouldnt even know this slot exist

Are we talking about the San Quentin? Bonus buy at $1 is $100, if you wish the better one it's $420! My last 5 bonuses were a complete disaster, and I was thinking to deposit and buy that $420 bonus! I didn't do that, but I am looking at it with a desire!

There is another one actually if you scroll down abit but you need 2000x just to break even. Basically this could really pay off if you are lucky but dang its pretty expensive even the cheapest cost $400 but imagine if you can land 5 scatters on a normal spin, that would pay a really massive amount for sure ( or land 2 other scatters from 3 scatters bonus round )

Me and Trofo had a decent chance with that last match Inter vs Juventus to potentially share the prize with 10th correct picks

Unfortunately You guys didnt. The other winner dai******n already had 11 correct picks before the Juventus vs Inter started so even if dai******n picked draw for that and Juventus ended up winning the match, he will still win with 11 correct picks.  Smiley

I actually prayed to the heavens

I never involved The Lord in any form of gambling though  Tongue

I learned that to win an MM, not only do you have to spend a few hours researching every game

Its good that it paid off for you, 75 mbtc is around $2600. I didnt research anything at all for the MM, I tried to mix it with few upsets and draws but it didnt pay off for me. Oh well, next round is definitely going to be better.
4428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 17, 2021, 11:04:56 PM
now this week is in trouble for me

But still a good week with upto 8 positions up in the regular season.

You are now on 2nd position for the Yellow cap. If this isnt a great week, I dont know what is lol I'll be happy if I can get over 15 points this week to maintain my position on top 10 atleast for now

Also what are currently rewards in $

If everyone paid already , it should be 48 * 0.0045 btc = 0.216 btc + 0.15 btc sponsored by sportsbet so it should be around 0.366 btc . A little over $13k at the currents rate. Lets hope the bull run continues until the end of the season lol

Actually alot more if you combine it with the weekly freebet for the yellow cap winners

I also got robbed of 0.5 point because of Sterling last goal.. I went with 3 - 1 for City!

7 others that guessed 3-0 for Manchester City basically robbed of 1.5 points  Tongue
4429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: January 17, 2021, 09:54:26 PM
Such a boring match between Liverpool and Manchester united both of the team where too cautious

Its not boring and its pretty intense if you are expecting Manchester United. I was expecting that and Manchester United ended up having to defend for most of the first half. The whole match was intense because I thought Liverpool gonna score any minutes but luckily that didnt happen

Overall it was a good match and a draw is good enough. Manchester United continue their unbeaten streak in Premier League and Liverpool continue their domination in Anfield, good results for both sides

I'm quite sure that Liverpool's focus was to get a win along with 3 points but Man Utd played like they will be happy with the draw

Nah, trust me Manchester United tried hard to win but they cant  Smiley . Liverpool is too good, I'll give them that

almost killed the Liverpool with two balls, Bruno and Pogba.

Sadly as Ariana Grande says " Almost is Never Enough "

-sniped-
Your up there on the leaderboard against the rest of the Sportsbet.io world.

Turquinito now has 8 correct picks on sportsbet's leaderboard with 1 person having 9 . Ajax and Besiktas won so Turquinito should have 10 by now , lets just hope the person that have 9 dont end up having 11 right now. You know there is always that 1 person that end up having 1 point higher than everyone else and it sucks if this happened to Turquinito

2 remaining picks from Turquinito, Liverpool and Juventus to win. Its not looking good because at this rate the match will probably end up as a draw.
4431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: January 17, 2021, 02:31:12 PM
I'm making really shitty picks of late. But I'll probably stick to it for a while more.

Dont worry, you are not the only one with those shitty picks. We are both on 2 correct picks after 8 matches lol and thats lame.

Some guys made very good results with 6 and 5 correct picks, and I am little pissed about match VfB Stuttgart - Borussia M'gladbach that ended as a draw in last seconds of the match with such a stupid penalty.

Ikr it sucks when it happens but for those that picked Draw would be happy because of the penalty. No matter how good you are, things might not be the same as you predicted it to be. I dont even look statistics anymore for the MM, I selected mine with only pure intuition hence the reason I only get 2 correct picks lol  Tongue

Someday I might hit it with my random picks
4432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: January 16, 2021, 11:10:54 PM
And it is hard to predict but I have premonition Liverpool win win. BTTS, too. 2:1?

Its probably wont be a BTTS, its either 0-1 for Manchester United or 2-0 for Liverpool. Im leaning towards 0-1 for Manchester United , yep Im biased but this is going to be huge. For the first time ever, Manchester United stands on top of the table ever since Sir Alex retired and we are not talking about rounds because we are literally on halfway for this season

This match is going to determine the winner for the 1st spot and if Manchester United cant win against Liverpool, that means we are not going to win the league for sure
4433  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi Poker Series $1000 (OPEN to ALL) on: January 16, 2021, 09:34:19 PM
If you mean the poker market, I think they have been doing extremely well unless you compare them to some big name. Lots of full cash game running 24/7 and some tournaments with over $10k guaranteed running with over 100+ players registered although most of them are probably recreational player that will jam all in with J8o  Tongue ( Ironically, I lost few times to such hands )

not irony, just the life of an MTT grinder. suckouts all day, every day! Tongue

Yeah I would shove that as well if I am short but most of those rec would shove it UTG position when they still have close to 50 BB. Its kinda frustating sometimes because you have some decent hands like QJs to play but then those rec would shove 50 BB then I feel like 50BB shove for QJs is not good enough

you make betnomi sound pretty juicy tbh. i haven't checked out their tourneys yet. maybe i should now that i've got a couple hundred bucks in my account...

If you are into MTT grinding, you should check them out. The guaranteed prizepool is decent and good with smaller fields if you compared it to ACR, stars or ggpoker. Its good but its too tilting for me sometimes because of those rec player. Some big tournament on weekend and lots of decent prizepool on weekdays

Also tournament tickets freeroll ( in case you are bored lol )almost every hour but these gets filled up like 15 mins after registration open.
4434  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi Poker Series $1000 (OPEN to ALL) on: January 16, 2021, 07:12:04 PM
People, what have we decided? As I understand it, we are not playing tomorrow?

No, it should be on 24th January if everything is still right on track.

I disagree with you, because I am sure that thanks to the forum, at least 100 regular customers have joined Betnomi

I think the purpose of this series is to spread awareness to people that Betnomi also has poker running on their website and also to get more players for the series. Well we get some new regulars like you and Teethow but lose some probably because some lose their interest to play but its all fair

and if they are determined to conquer the lion's share of this market, then they will need a lot of patience

Same here about the bet and I'm confident that Wolves will play even better in the second half *cross fingers* Tongue
\

I think you jinxed it. West Brom scored two goals and the score is 2-3 at 58th minutes.

Wolves 2-1 WBA at half time. I’m bored today so just going to watch football all day. It’s started off well, tgis is a really entertaining game. I can’t believe WBA got a draw at Anfield. Have they lost every game since  Roll Eyes

WBA was trashed by leeds and Arsenal after the draw in Anfield but it seems they might win today. The most entertaining match would be Liverpool vs Manchester United for the 1st position. All I ask for in this match is lots of solid attacking from both sides and Manchester United ended up winning the match with some lucky penalty  Tongue
4436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: January 15, 2021, 10:52:33 PM
It looks like Chelsea and Arsenal have to try harder to maximize the strength of their team in order to win every remaining game. Only a win will take them to the top 5, they need a good team performance.

Wait what, are you kidding me . Even if Chelsea and Arsenal win their next match and every other team on top 5 lose their next one, Chelsea / Arsenal are not getting in the top 5

Wolves , Leicester, Spurs, Liverpool and lastly City. All of those combined gives you 9.98 so basically 10 odds, put 1 in and get 10 back, that is one hella of a deal and none of the games are that weird neither

Thats a funny one because you listed Liverpool there. Liverpool is going to play against Manchester United for the 1st position. Its definitely not an easy match and let me remind you of this, Manchester United currently stands on 11 unbeaten streak in Premier League so far. The boys are definitely not going to let Liverpool win just like that
4437  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi Poker Series $1000 (OPEN to ALL) on: January 15, 2021, 09:04:01 PM
So maybe we should decrease buy in a little? Like 15 $

The previous series buy in was $15 flat with no additional fee. Maybe you would want to consider joining the next one  Smiley

Perhaps everyone who expects to reach the final should just make a one-time payment? 5 * 8 (No matter how many games you play in a poker series).

The issue with bundle payment is that it might drive some new player off. The issue that we have right now is the number of player participating in the series is low compared to what Betnomi offered as the Grand Finale Prizepool so if we can get some new blood in this series that means the issue will be solved by itself. If the series is held on swc, it will be easier to convince few regs to join the series but I dont think that most regs on Betnomi poker has bitcointalk account

Decide to stick with my usual pick of Manchester United to win. Im not going to deny that Liverpool is the heavy favourites for this match and they are pretty good in home game but who cares  Tongue. Another big upsets, Huddersfield to win against Watford and so far everyone seems to go with Watford to win the match

I find it difficult for them to keep staying on top after their performance against Burnley.

I'll be honest and say that Im totally agree with this but as LFC_bitcoin wrote

If we can’t get up & motivated to play Man Utd then we don’t deserve to win the title tbh.

Same goes for Manchester United. If Manchester United cant win then winning the Premier League would be nothing but pipe dream

Arsenal game just kicked off. Gone for a narrow 1-0 on that one.

That narrow 1-0 didnt pay off. I went for the the same pick as well but didnt expect that Arsenal couldnt score. So bad, I should have stick with my first prediction for the draw

So it seems we are still stuck with the curse of one unique winner every round again. Stephencurry333 is the winner for round 18 with only 9 points. Got myself back up to top ten and Tomahawk9 still stands strong on top of the table

The next round is going to be interesting, there will be 15 matches unless some matches are cancelled so few might end up getting more than 20 points in this round
4440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ✅ SwC Poker ♣️ Player Lounge on: January 14, 2021, 06:49:25 PM
They dropped the ball and lost their domain name and still got people to come back, which is crazy when you think about it.

Its not when you realize that they are probably the only decent poker site left that only allow bitcoin deposits. Not to mention that the prizepool for some tournaments there are pretty decent with far smaller fields if you compare them with other poker sites. That alone should be enough reason for some people to keep coming back

I've moved on to different platforms. Wasn't feeling the environment anymore, and not running our series there made it easier to cut ties.

I have withdrawn 95% of what I had there. When they lost the domain, it kinda feels unprofessional and that its not safe to leave my funds in there. Left some small balance there in case efi wants to start the series again lol

Because that has happened atleast twice now.

Thats dirty
