4422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many bitcoin address you have right now? why you have more than one? on: November 29, 2015, 10:33:07 AM
When whatching some videos about bitcoin i came to know there is lots of address can be made for bitcoin almost unlimited. So creating many addresses doesn't seem to affect bitcoin network.

I have around 3 address 2 of those are cold wallet address and 1 main everyday hot wallet. I have Cold wallet to store in safer place and stop me from spending madly in gamblings.

How much bitcoin address do you have and why you have to create more than one address?

>100. Because I can not imagine how you keep track of things with just a single address. For every deal (except low value) I generate a new address and usually for long term deal (e.g. sig campaigns) a new address monthly. When I see an incoming payment on the address I labeled with "vanitygen Quickseller x 20" I know who paid me for what. How do you do this with just a single address?

The other thing is, with the high number of addresses its difficult for someone to know how much bitcoin I have in total. If you just have a few its pretty easy to find them.

You used this address in the past.
Can you sign a message from that one? Or to put it in other words:
Is this another exchange address or an address from one of your wallets?

Yeah this is one of my wallet address too. How to sign message this address, plz let me know.
Thank you bro

See my thread redsn0w linked. If you need help or you wallet is not listed feel free to contact me. If you use a service chances are high that you can not sign a message because the private keys are not actually yours.

i want 1Venessian or 1Venes, how much for it ?

1Venessian with exact case - cant do it
1Venessian without exact case - could do it, but prefer not to. Price would be 5.9645 BTC and it would take a year or two, more likely two.
1Venes with exact case - 0.00031 BTC
1Venes without exact case - "donation"

When I look at the modlog, I see 100+ entries of the following
Delete reply: Re: CannabisCoin [CANN][X11][Official] Developments & Discussions in topic #827998 by member #654747

Question: Why are individual posts getting deleted, instead of the user being banned?

Self mod thread. The account in question is a new account. I assume they constantly post the same post. At least they just had a lengthy one deleted. Something something "BEWARE" in big red letters.

4428  Other / Meta / Re: Should there be a limit to how many times you can post a day? on: November 28, 2015, 09:08:51 AM
[ b]And when I say that, this is a proposal where the site has automatic scripting where the website just simply refuses to let you post a certain amount of times per day. [/b]
-snip-

Its already in palce. I can at most make one post per 4 seconds or 21,600 posts per day. A newbie account would need to wait 360 seconds between posts so a max of 240 posts per day.

Its spam, in spam threads. Shit in the toilet is still shit.

Would you vote on off-topic being taken down? After all, you want the site to be only about Bitcoin, right?

No, off-topic has more than just spam threads and even those are fine as long as you dont post the majority of your posts there.

The user linked by OP made 87/100 posts in off topic.
4430  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin Vanity Addresses! on: November 28, 2015, 08:47:52 AM

I am looking for 20 addresses with the above set of prefixes.

Any or all of them? Because combining different prefixes only helps so much. It lowers the difficulty, but it usually only means that the "easiest" ones are found first while there is no time wasted for the most difficult only. E.g. 1panthers59 has a predicted 50% time of 1 year. Its very unlikely that it will be found.

Would you be willing to compute 20 (with a single public key, so you could just leave it running) for .055BTC?

Not a straight answer yet, just noting that I just tested that and yes it will keep going until it finds a key for all prefixes given a single pubkey. There are two possible modes, -k which just keeps searching for the same prefixes until I stop it manually. This will probably result in dublicated prefixes. Which is a given anyway since you want 20 addresses, but have less prefixes. Without the -k flag it will strike a prefix of the list until it has found all.

If that is too large a risk for you (due to potential variance) then I would be willing to buy computing time on your computer (to generate as many vanity addresses as possible with the above prefixes), and would be willing to pay .055BTC for the following amount of time: ([estimated amount of time to generate one address from the above address]*1.07)*20 // In other words I would be willing to buy the amount of time it is estimated to find 20 addresses, assuming 93% luck.

The thing is there is no 100% time. It could take me 100 years to find an address with the prefix '12', its just very unlikely. From a quick test on the CPU the times to reach the next "step" behave like this.

Code:
 %  stp ttl
50% x   x
75% x   2x
80% x/3 2.3x
90% x   3.3x
95% x   4.3x

There is no further prediction above 95%. I managed to get to 98%, but never higher. Would be incredible unlikely anyway. I usually calculate with 75%.

Either way, please provide a PGP signed address to send payment to, along with confirmation of the exact price/terms of sale (if something needs to be adjusted price wise, that is no problem).

Will do lets iron out the details first.

What I can offer is 20 address with any of the below 12 prefixes (with a combined difficulty of 229,244,582,148) with out exact case for a total of 0.0998 BTC.

Code:
1camnewton
1superman
1elevenno # not 'zero'
1superbowl
1suprbowl
1panthers1
1panthers59
1nolosses
1lukeeeee
1lukeee59
1tochdown
1winnerso # not 'zero'
1runtable

Since that is almost twice your price I can offer you the same deal but with '1panthers' instead of '1panthers1' and '1panthers59', so 11 prefixes with a combined difficulty of 145,206,698,550 for 0.0312 btc.

4435  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Wallet Seed Question on: November 27, 2015, 01:38:21 PM
Hi everyone i have question about wallet seed hope anyone will answer my question.

Im using Electrum as a wallet on my pc but my pc has broken so Electrum wallet and keys are gone. But i have the wallet seed so that i can restore my wallet back. So no pc anymore and im using wp 10 and i have Copay wallet im planning to import the wallet by its wallet seed but its not working it says invalid seed whats the problem? Will the wallet seed can only be imported on Electrum only(Not Tested)?

No you need electrum, unless you have the raw master private key which is also working with mycelium (same source).

4436  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: What should transaction fees be set to on Electrum wallet on: November 27, 2015, 11:51:46 AM
thats awesome thx so much!

There is no fixed answer as this changes over time. If you use the current version of electrum you can enable dynamic fees.

Tools -> Preferences -> Transactions -> check Dynamic fees.

4438  Economy / Reputation / Re: Vod you are an asshole! on: November 27, 2015, 11:26:34 AM
You left me negative feedback stating I am trying to steal as much as possible?

Vod who are you to judge me?

Welcome, you must be new here. Let me give you quick intro. Vod is part of the "Default Trust" Network. As such their ratings matter more than that of others. You can change this if you want, but only for yourself.

You are simply using your trust position to enforce feedback and abuse this system,..

It does not look to me like Vod is trying to enforce a feedback, they are simply giving you one. This is not an abuse of the system. Thats the way the system works.

Feedback system is suppose to be commented after a deal between users,..

No. It is also used as guidance for new users or as a warning mechanism. In some rare cases it is even used to make an opinion heard.

I never dealt with you,..

Does not matter.

I never ever stole anything in my life Vod believe or not I don't need to steal,.

Does not matter and its just words anyway. You have no way to prove this.

My family and I have more money than you think you asshole , you really insult me,..

Sounds like a problem with your pride.

I said this many times I don't operate CryptoBoost for profit only for fun,..

Does not matter.

I created a platform for people here to earn profit from each other,..

Does not matter.

and they do, many of my players making good profit on CryptoBoost and I even helped many times by topping up the game wallet,..

Good, so Vods rating should not influence those that make an educated decision to play your game.

are you going to give me good feedback now for giving BTC to people?

I cant speak for Vod, but I would assume the answer is: No.

no , you don't because you are so far up your arse with your ego you just couldn't live with it,.

I honestly feel sorry for you Vod

Enjoy your time here.
4439  Economy / Services / Re: forgot password to wallet, corrupted wallet files. Let me try recover them. on: November 27, 2015, 09:32:07 AM
Now, not to sound like someone who is out to scam people, as I am not. here goes:

I had 4 wallets on my system that I had completely forgotten the pass phrase for. I also had some corrupt, a few of mine and a pals .dat file. We tried for what seems like an eternity and finaly managed to recover a good protion of keys so could recover the funds. Sadly, it wasnt really the main keys I wanted to recover buy, hey it was still worth a try, took us bloody ages tho.

Well im sure you all know how bloody hard it is to get them back, but if you are stuck and want someone else to try, let us. if we recover them then we tale 20%

Im sure im going to get loads of incoming here as people may think im here to try scam someone or take what is not mine, but if you cant get it what do you have to loose.

Worth a try.

Rhys

Interesting, how did you recover the corrupted wallet?
4440  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Easiest way to sweep into Electrum on: November 27, 2015, 09:29:56 AM
Hello,

I have some bitcoins stored on a paper wallet, that I want to sweep into Electrum. What's the easiest way to do this? I have a webcam that can read QR codes.

Many thanks

#1 Get private key to computer (via webcam)
#2 On electrum create a new wallet (ctrl + n), name it and select "Restore a wallet or import keys"
#3 Put the private key(s) where you normally would put the seed
#4 (dont) set password, let it sync etc.
#5 send to your main electrum wallet that is covered by your seed
#6 (delete temp wallet)
