4421  Economy / Speculation / Re: Know your time to HOLD on: June 13, 2023, 09:25:34 AM

We really can't do a hold carelessly, without paying attention to the market situation, and without paying attention to the chart,
of course Hold will be dangerous, if you don't pay attention to these points you will become a victim like investors or holders from FTT, LUNA or CEL,
this is why it's important Technical analysis.
It is for sure we are not talking about investing and holding shitcoins but we are talking about holding potential coins like BTC. Even if you are not checking on the chart, no TAs, etc, it is definitely you can never feel worries holding them because we believe that Bitcoin will rise, unlike these shitcoins. And we can't compare FTX and LUNA to Bitcoin as they are absolutely nothing to compare with in terms of usability and the community that supports Bitcoin. Because if you think holding is dangerous, then you also say that investing is nothing as it was meant for holding long-term or short-term.
if holding Bitcoin I have no doubts and even I'm sure many people will also have no doubts about Bitcoin which has the strength of the community that supports Bitcoin and also the past history of Bitcoin prices which have always been able to recover and even reach the highest price even though it's a little long but that's for sure and there is no qualm about holding Bitcoin for a long period of time.
unlike Altcoins, we must be observant in seeing all possibilities.
Bitcoin will rise before and months after halving, and so will altcoins, only that one should be extremely careful in the choice of their altcoins. Some altcoins will surely move better than Bitcoin due to their yet lower market capitalization and pricing, only that the assurance and safety of Bitcoin investment are surer. I advise anyone to do what seems best for them, this time might be the rightest time to start buying some altcoins, but they must be the top-rated and old ones, they are better reliable, and consider them as viable alternatives to diversify your investment.

Specifically, Bitcoin should be watched carefully with the economic data and technical chart, buying it at about $20,000 should be the perfect investment opportunity before halving.
4422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto another form of gambling? on: June 13, 2023, 07:13:28 AM
If so, then these British MPs should classify the stock market and securities as gambling.
I quite agree with you, because by definition, stocks and securities are gambling, even holding fiat in your hand or in the bank account is gambling as well since no one knows what could happen to its value in the next minute. Yet, I would want you to look at this from the angle of defence, those MPs were trying to back crypto rather than harming it, and that's why they came about it as "a form of gambling" to save it from more limitations through regulations.

They were trying to prove that crypto holders should be left alone to decide on their risk and fate rather than over-protecting them by regulations.

Your investment would be a gamble if you don't have any plans for it. Unlike with gambling, an investor could actually manage the risk such as putting a stop loss depending on one's preference unlike in gambling wherein once you bet n mount, either you lose or win.
You are making a very good point, and this makes it subjective. It's about how you own, use and trade your coin that would define it.

2. Take risky action in the hope of a desired result.

The second one seems to fit crypto best, so it's clear they know what they are saying.
They don't. If we take that definition by face value then;
• Investing in real estate,
• Buying any form of stock,
• Starting a business,
• Running for a political office,
• Even proposing to your partner.
All of the above should be considered as gambling and regulated as such.

They do not know what they are saying neither are they trying to understand it, they just want to slam some form of regulation on Bitcoin and are finding a way to justify it.
You are arguably right on this if we are going by the way of the second definition by the Oxford Dictionary which will go a long way in calling many other things, work and day-to-day activities of people gambling. I possibly don't know why it should go that far in the dictionary meaning.

If cryptocurrencies were officially regarded as a form of gambling and subject to regulation in line with that classification, restrictions or restrictions on cryptocurrency operations and investments could be introduced.  This could include limitations on trading volumes, registration or licensing requirements for exchange platforms, and measures to protect investors from potential fraud or financial risk.
That's on the contrary, and I believe it's because many of you didn't read the full story. The MPs are defending cryptocurrency so that government would not think of it as you stated above and regulate it with many limitations.
4423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: June 13, 2023, 06:37:22 AM
By joining Lionel Messi to Miami, it will create a passion for football there, of course it will have a positive impact on football there. Actually this is a breakthrough if a league wants to get a lot of attention, yes one way is by bringing in players with star labels. As before what Al Nassr did in Saudi Arabia, it was good for them.
as one of the countries that will host the 2026 world cup, messi's presence in the usa league will add to the impression of prestige, moreover messi and cristiano have the same star aura.  I can say the future of the USA league will be better with Messi's presence there, and people will start to look at the USA league and also the preparation of the USA as one of the hosts for the 2026 world cup.
Whether Lionel Messi will play in the next World Cup will be determined by his performance in Miami. But many hope that Lionel Messi can play the next World Cup. Another rumor is that Lionel Messi will join Barcelona after spending one season in Miami.

Yes, without a doubt, the fans of Inter Miami are aware that their team will be one of the best in the MLS , and this can lead them to grow the team and the League as such , but we all know here that the MLS does not have any player. it has made him reach the Top 1 , and Messi is clearly a player who will always be there, the bad thing is that MLS is seen as retirement for these players, and it is a calmer, more relaxed football, the fans there are not As in South America or in Europe , they are somewhat calmer , I think Messi went there to have more peace of mind,  he was not happy for 2 years.

Romeo Beckham ready to turn down chance to play with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami
Great stars will always be great wherever they go, especially the lesser team or countryside. Messi has been linked with many places in recent times, there are speculations that he is going to Saudi Arabia, a close relation claims that he would be back in Barcelona and now the USA claims are coming on board. Although this is not popular as I've never heard or read about it before. My guess is that Messi would find his part in either Barcelona or Saudi Arabia and you should know that the Saudi option would be for the money.

He would soon retire, so I believe gathering all the money possible is a very good and wise option now. The next world cup might also be his last, by then he should be 40-1 years, he can't predictably play in the next 2.
4424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 13, 2023, 06:11:15 AM
We don't know why Nagelsmann was fired. But the decision to fire Nagelsmann was not correct. Bayern Munich's performance further deteriorated after the sacking of Nagelsmann. They were eliminated from the Champions League after losing badly against Manchester City. Bayern Munich's performance in the Bundesliga was not good either.
Tuchel in Munich is not yet successful. Out of 12 matches, Bayern Munich has won 6 matches and lost 4 matches. We are not sure if Tuchel can strengthen this team next season. But Tuchel is experienced enough. Hopefully, he will be successful with the Munich team.
It has been stated so many times in the various articles that published by various reliable sources if naglesmann has been sacked due to the inconsistency with the club. He has been sacked when he was playing ski after he got a call from bayern's director.
That's why his case has become very popular case at that time. As far as i remember if bayern has 100% WR in UCL under him but tuchel wa destroying it in the first touch with bayern in UCL when it faces manchester city.
I remember how optimism tuchel to beat manchester city but it's ended with pathetic result.

That's absolutely one of the worst mistake that Bayern Munich did in the previous season, the club was very strong in the UCL and everyone was afraid from playing against them but after they changed the coach everything start running in another direction, it's true that the oppenet was Manchester city but the results and the preformence of the club in both matches wss very bad
If the Champions League Final was between Bayern Munich and Man City, the odds would have been high for both clubs as a fearful display would have been envisaged. But unfortunately, the mightiest ones had been knocked out before the final, I guess it was the lucky time for Man City. Talking about coaches, I will always say that those people thinking that professional and well-qualified coaches are the problem of a club at times are just being naive, what has Tuchel done in the club so far?

Let's see how the next season would play out with the guy and the club, it's too early for me to judge, let him start and complete a season first.
4425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We shall separate commercial exchanges from investment exchanges on: June 12, 2023, 05:01:48 PM
A normal exchange is a company which exchanges fiat currency with cryptocurrency, and vice-versa, taking a small fee in the process. And that's it. Nothing else. I believe these exchanges hardly need to be regulated, because they don't store any funds. You make a deal with them, and when it's over, the customer relation is over, everything's terminated.

Besides that, there are exchanges which offer margin trading, which propose lending and borrowing cryptos, and various other high risk activities. Those exchanges need strong regulations, to protect investors.
So because one exchanges your money and the other allows you to trade make them different in the view of regulation? Well, I don't agree with you, neither do I think any serious government will agree with you. Maybe the points below would change your view on this:

1. Have you forgotten that it's human beings you are dealing with? Crypto aside, it's a matter of time before they would hide under that to launder money.
2. When they are not regulated, how do they sincerely pay taxes despite making money from people?
3. What if they just disappear with the customer's money?
4. Even if they didn't disappear, don't you think they can still be cheating people when they are not answerable to anyone?

Regulation is not always bad, it helps the economy and protects the assets and rights of people. And every company dealing with money are entitled to be regulated, not otherwise.

4426  Economy / Economics / Re: I thought there was an egg shortage. on: June 12, 2023, 09:13:28 AM
I thought there was a global panic over egg supplies. Not so long ago they were rationing sales. This morning I bought some boxes of 6 big and fresh eggs for just 21 pence. The normal price is £1.40. It just shows how food prices and distribution is being manipulated to rip us off. That is if we aren't aware and exploiting the situation for our own benefit. The eggs were on sale at a m ajor Asda supermarket in Hampshire, England.
Who is ripping you off? Is it not the same country where you got the notion of an inflated commodity that you bought the same eggs? Well, you should know that countries' economy is dynamic, what you bought cheaply today might not be so the next day, and vice versa. It's you that should be conversant with the market reality and also consider the location. Locations have different prices, and you might need to ascertain if you are buying at a wholesale outlet or from a retailer.
4427  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: One or more trading strategies, which one do you prefer? on: June 12, 2023, 07:59:05 AM
Are you referring with the trading plan or just the trading indicators?
It's clearly stated, it's not directly a trading plan but your trading strategy. And this strategy could be through the use of indicator or other means whatsoever that gives you a clue on the path the market will follow for a period of time.

TBH, I'm really curious about the way you combine the strategies. Is it really possible to combine trading strategies?
According to my experience, each trading strategy has its own target/goal. So, the way to trade between one strategy and another strategy will be a bit different. I'm not sure if it is really possible to combine them.  Huh
How do you use a combination of strategies in trading?
I just know this, never heard this before and I never did this way.
It's simple, strategies are for different purposes, so you might blend them together to form a complete pathfinder for you that would be stronger than if you use just one. You might use two trend indicators, one overbought/oversold indicator and one breakout strategy to form your trading strategy. And everything must agree on a safe direction before taking the risk on that direction.

It is dangerous to rely entirely on one method. Markets are dynamic and ever-changing, and a strategy that works well in one market scenario may not work as well in another. Traders might possibly profit from diversification and lessen their reliance on any particular technique by mixing various tactics. Furthermore, as you indicated in your experience, combining methods might aid in better filtering trade signals. When different techniques corroborate the same signal, it can boost the trader's confidence and raise the likelihood of success.
The problem with this is that now you require a trader to have several successful strategies they can use perfectly, a very difficult thing as most traders do not even have a single strategy like that, however even if they had them those which have traded the markets before know that different strategies can give opposite signals, so what would you do if one strategy tells you to buy while the other strategy tells you to sell? This will only confuse traders even further and reduce their effectiveness.
To me, this is about your choice, traders use one or more strategies without issues. Just ensure that the one you are using is very effective in its function. All you need to do in addition is to manage them right and everything would be fine. Also about the confusion, strategies vary, some could lead and some could lag, but with your training, you know the perform ones for the job and you should never open a trade unless all the strategies agree on one decision. By this, it would have filtered off noises and you would be just fine.

4428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 12, 2023, 07:25:19 AM
Tottenham are always in a bad situation, that's normal for them  Grin
As for Kane, it seems that he told his teammates that he wants to move to Real Madrid, but since Tottenham wants absolutely unreasonable money for a not young striker (who has only one year of the contract left), Real doubts the expediency of the purchase. Or did I miss some news?
Levy was making it even worst. Levy has signed ange as the new head coach for totenham. Ange was even making so many promises for all of totenham supporters.

It's a bit joke by replacing conte which has so many good track record in the european competitions with ange. Here's his profile https://www.transfermarkt.co.id/ange-postecoglou/profil/trainer/11929

Levy was again signing garbage coach to handle totenham. I don't even know when totenham will able to take EPL trophy. It seems like that this club will never win it forever.

It seems that he was successful with Celtic, but the Premier League of course is a completely different level and everyone expected the appointment of a coach of a different caliber. But I don't even know if Tottenham could have attracted a more eminent coach? If they hired him at the same time buying Mbappe + Casemiro + Bellingham etc. it would seem strange, but Tottenham seem to have chosen a coach for their (modest) ambitions.

Nobody really knows what else is going on. Did Conte actually get sacked or is there a mutual agreement that he will leave the club? It is not impossible that Conte himself has already been negotiating with other clubs and expressed his intention to leave the club.
What transpired between Conte and Tottenham is not far from being fetched, I believe the management has been noticing his style against the team and was unbearable to them after he called his team selfish after a match. This, of course, can't be the only reason, the internal issues with the players and the management which are not obvious to the media must have added to it. And as for Kane, his transfer is long overdue, Tottenham is not a fitting club for his personality anymore.
4429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $90,000 all in bet on: June 12, 2023, 07:00:38 AM
Today, I am going all in on a bet I am very confident in.
FRANCE LEAGUE 2: GRENOBLE - GUINGAMP
How I wish I saw this post before you made a ridiculous bet, I would have advised you against it. See, it's a thing to know how to gamble very well, but it's another to be responsible and managerial in your gambling. Without the last two, you are nothing and will always be susceptible to losing everything.

UPDATE: A MISSED PENALTY AND A LOSS. BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD.
This might sound hurtful, but I congratulate you on this loss and going back to the drawing board with nothing. At least, it would teach you a lesson that you should use your sense while gambling. It's a lesson, take it in good fate, but next time, learn how to divide such a big fortune into at least 10 parts (1/10). By this, it would have greatly reduced your risk exposure even if greed is dragging you.
4430  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is ahead is very dangerous on: June 11, 2023, 11:11:36 AM
I bet what's ahead is very dangerous, you will have to connect your wallet and that is where all your assets will be moved out automatically, Be cautious out here.
Thanks for this warning. I got the same warning when I tried it out. It's now been obvious for everyone to be careful with the coins, tokens and NFTs offer these days, many of them are not genuine but are just there to steal your money.

Albeit, it will be foolish of anyone in this internet age to connect their account with an unfamiliar website. Such shouldn't happen no matter how trusting they could appear, especially when what they are offering is too good to be true.

Be wise!
4431  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] Members who support newbies - Thanks! on: June 11, 2023, 08:24:00 AM
Of course, some members are not genuine, so surely some of us will make mistakes when we are sending merits to some of the newbies, so there might be a bit of a gambling component in considering the extent to which some members are going to be trying to improve the quality of their participation in the forum...
I assume you are talking about alternate accounts. Yes, it's quite difficult to distinguish between a newcomer eager to learn about Bitcoin and a "newbie" who is actually an experienced member but still has a short posting history.

I was not referring to any particular kind of account - except just not being able to be sure if the member is being genuine or not based on the short posting history... and sure, your suggestion that some members might be more clearly genuine, but some of us (including yours truly) have been tricked by bot posts, too.. (or plagerism), they seem to be good posts (well written) but then the post (or moreso the member) ends up having issues in regards to a lack of genuineness... and maybe even a lack of a brain that thinks for itself beyond stealing the work of others or posting the language that was mostly (if not completely) drafted by a bot..

OP, thanks once again for updating this list (and I'm glad I caught it in my feed before it got buried).

Wow....I used to actually have a rank each month, but I've dropped off completely since I started pretty much exclusively handing out merits to people who request post history reviews.  I'm not sure if that's a case of me not reading as much, or being lazy or what but it isn't good.  My goal with the offer I made to the community was to help members rank up, but I rarely get members at Newbie rank PMing me.

Is it too late to make a new years resolution?  Yes, and I'd probably break it immediately if I were so foolish enough to make one.
I stopped the last few months myself. I got tired of finding out a lot were just looking for merits and fake accounts trying to hustle signature money.

Yes.. another good point..

Sometimes it can be frustrating if some of us get the sense that we have been duped.. and we might ONLY have so much time that we can try to figure out if the member is seeming to be up to no good.. in terms of actually not even intended (or perhaps not even capable) of making a meaningful and substantive forum contribution.
There is no perfect rule, no perfect system and no perfect justice, just do your own and leave the rest. I'm always glad when I see the updates from @Coin-1 mentioning my name as helping some newbies with between 1-3 merits within months if am correct. It would have been more but I don't give attention to them only because I'm not a merit source. But many of them deserve it, especially in a forum where disparities and biases linger.

If you think too much of an account being an alt, I can assure you that you will do more evil than good, many genuine and original posters must have been discouraged because of this and left. While you make the forum thrive for alts simply because they with the alts must have understood the forum better, and whether you give them or not, they get it elsewhere. Is that justice?

Take me as an example, I am no alt, but I would have left the forum in the first 5 months if not for @The Sceptical Chymist, his support encouraged me. @JayJuanGee is another good and random reviewer who I wouldn't have known if not for the merits he sends to me. How many people do this? My discouragement at that time is about the lack of appreciation of what I contribute, it goes a long way.

Mind you, Injustice is everywhere in the forum, and if you look at some local boards, you would be amazed about what is happening there. Some underserving accounts could get as much as over 300 merits in a single month, all local. This is simply because they can speak their language, many might have alts there and continue to build it for money, is that justice?

I implore anyone God has given the grace and privilege to hold a position of power to help regardless of discouragement by anyone, JUST BE YOU. It's not so difficult to read posts insightfully and psychologically to know who deserves merit and some suspected alts. That's at least for me.
4432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 11, 2023, 07:36:43 AM
Congratulations Man City this is as I expected. But my wrong prediction was the number of goals. Only one goal, initially I thought there were at least two more goals. In addition, the second time I saw Lukaku become the savior of the opposing team. Inter had good chances but they were unlucky. Indeed, the two teams looked more vigilant. They are not very open during the game. But one key to Pep is patience. Man City seemed very patient, they played more waiting for opportunities. Rodri's goal was also very good, choosing a plesing ball in a tight area. Inter are also good, they managed to make it difficult for the Man City midfielder to make attacks.
Congratulations to Manchester City for winning the UEFA Champions League trophy for the first time. First the FA Cup trophy, then the Premier League title and finally the crown of European excellence, Manchester City has had a great season.

Manchester City's final match looked like they might be playing a normal match as they played with a lot of patience and caution and this patience and caution may have helped them to the UEFA Champions League trophy.

I was worried when Kevin De Bruyne left the field in the 38th minute with a suspected injury because Manchester City's match is not that easy to win without this star but in the end Manchester City did it. Manchester City fans will undoubtedly remember the 2022/23 season.
Manchester City have been able to create one of the best history in the last few seasons. Expect this club to perform more like fire next season. In addition, the coach of the team, Pep Guardiola, has become one of the best coaches in the world today.
Sorry for those who bet against Man City in this Champions League final, I warned some and I hope they yielded to this. Although it was a tough task for them this time, Inter Milan didn't let them achieve it as easily as many expected and thanks to the blue side for not letting the game lead to a penalty shootout. It was a great season for them as they won their first UCL ever, and also a season where they won FA and EPL.

For this, I am sure that Pep Guardiola would never forget this year, and perhaps the best year of his career life. I hope this would be replicated next season.
4433  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: June 11, 2023, 07:13:43 AM
Saving a third of your monthly income can be a realistic goal, but it depends on factors such as where you live and your expenses. If you earn $3,000 per month and have moderate expenses such as rent, food, utilities, phone bills, travel, and occasional entertainment, it's possible to save $1,000.

However, it's important to consider the cost of living in your area and your personal financial obligations. It also requires budgeting and the discipline to save consistently to create a viable savings plan.
spending to meet basic needs is a very important thing to pay attention to and if it has been fulfilled then saving is something that must be done regardless of how much income you get per month and if expenses are higher or just barely with your income then you can't be silent, you have to get out of it and look for additional income to be able to save.
saving is very important for future life and if someone knows the benefits of saving then he will do anything to be able to fulfill it, the important thing is there is a desire to save then it won't be difficult.
Not hard to say but hard to do. Everyone's income is different as well as their needs are also different. It's hard to start saving, let alone saving from a third of my income every month. What happens is that sometimes my income for one month cannot meet my needs for the next month, so I have to borrow money to just survive.

maybe in the future I will try to manage my finances and set aside some of my income every month to start saving. And trying to find additional income to add to my savings. to answer future problems such as unexpected events (accidents) and to prepare for old age.
I was also concerned as some people believe that saving 1/3 of income is not hard, I believe this is personal as income varies. There are people that would not be able to spend up to 1/10 of their income in a month, while it will be difficult for some to save anything in a month. Just like you, there are times you borrow to survive, which is why I believe that the answer to this question will always vary in relation to an individual's income and responsibility.

I included responsibility because some people earn more than enough but their responsibility is too much for them. This might be a family person or someone that the extent family depends on him.
4434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 10, 2023, 08:25:56 PM
Inter Milan survived the starting minutes of the game and were able to disrupt Manchester City from finding their rhythm in the game. Manchester City will play a better football in the second half and Inter Milan need to be ready because the coach of Manchester City is very good tactically and is able to spot errors that the team makes correct them in the dressing room for them to have a better second half. One noticeable way that Inter Milan have played is to quickly switch the ball to the wings which has caused Manchester City problems. With the way Inter Milan players are playing, very aggressively, they will need to keep up this performance if they will win, because if they slow down and relax for the slightest moment, Manchester City can score.
Inter Milan only looks so good because Manchester City is playing badly, or other they are not playing the football they normally play. For example Gündogan do anything special and Haaland has only one good shot on the goal. I think Grealish go out soon and Julian Alvarez came into the game. Bernardo Silva do it offensive okay, but also not good yet. It looks like City doesnt want to go any risks, Pep Guardiola wont like that. It goes on, lets see how the next 20-30 minutes will be played.
Of course, what Man City is playing now is not expected by me, they didn't want to be aggressive, but for how long? It might be late in the end with the approach they are using, maybe they are saving the striking moments till later, I hope it won't backfire on the face of Pep Guardiola. It's 64 minutes already, this is tougher for Man City than I thought, they are disappointing me at the moment and I hope the careful approach of Pep Guardiola will not cost them this Champions League.

I expected offensive moments now like they always do, being too defensive shows how too much they care about winning and it might be a weakness rather than a strength when it gets into their heads.
4435  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria SEC tag binance operations illegal on: June 10, 2023, 01:32:34 PM
I see this news as another hypocrisy, it's not today that Binance has been serving Nigerians but our SEC didn't say anything about it specifically until the US is dealing with it and Coinbase. Binance has been so clever this day, I don't believe they have any office in Nigeria, they only have agents. This, of course, is not good for the Nigerian government despite the company making huge amounts from Nigerians, which means the government is losing taxable income.

But for SEC to come out again today is nothing new, it can't be as scary as what CBN and banks did in the past, yet crypto dealings continue in Nigeria. Still, a special warning to those who have big money there, it might be time you distribute your assets to many exchanges. Binance is always in the business of seizing money because of "risk management."

In case you don't know, measures to counter panic withdrawal are part of it.

how do think the market or Nigerian investors will react to this?
Binance has been pressured already and it also drags cryptocurrency with it. This news will not have much effect on the market, if any, since it's not a lawsuit or a penalty, it's just a declaration of what is already there.
4436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 10, 2023, 09:45:02 AM
I can't say that last season the Red Devils had a much worse result than this season... They got a place in the Europa League and didn't do too badly, but they lost to the reigning champions, Sevilla... Chelsea have had a really bad result this season, and if they qualify for the Champions League next season, it can probably be called a good result... Man U, on the other hand, are playing at an average level...
comparing the two Man united teams with Chelsea it is clear that last season Chelsea experienced a very bad decline in performance when compared to the previous season but Man United had a normal performance that did not have a decrease or increase last season.
I don't know what caused Chelsea to experience a decline in performance since the old coach was sacked and replaced with a new Chelsea player's performance did not experience any improvement.

it will be Lampard's responsibility to improve the performance of Chelsea players even though there are rumors that the Chelsea coach will be replaced again by Mauricio Pochettino.
To me, Man U and Chelsea could be arguably compared together, after all, they are rivals, and if you could remember, Man U was facing exactly the same thing Chelsea is facing now years ago and was able to move out of it in about a year ago while they still have a lot of work to do. Chelsea however is in the woods and coaching might not be the major issue now but moving in and out of players to almost completely change the narrative and the orientation/psychology of the dominant ones.

As for Lampard, I don't know why the guy would be ridiculing himself, his contract is only till the end of this season, it's too short for him to even breathe not to talk of making impacts. Lastly, it's not a rumour that Mauricio Pochettino is coming to Chelsea, the guy has signed 2 years contract already and will resume on the 1st of July.

I've always known that it's a matter of time before the crypto space is regulated more, it's the talk of the town and no matter how we view it, regulation is necessary since the US and many others are not banana republics. But they should only ensure that the regulation is not anti-people, that's my main plight.

People have rights, they have the right to own whatever assets and properties they want and where they want it, and crypto is part of it. If the US and their agencies are making it unbearable for people and businesses, then it's the country that would be boycotted, cryptocurrency would continue to thrive even without the US, especially Bitcoin which is truly decentralized.

@EarnOnVictor if Juventus were not guilty they would have fought it but instead they accepted the punishment which shows their guilt hence now there’s no point in crying over spilled milk. Furthermore they should now focus on the upcoming season and start planning well for it otherwise we’ll see them drop out of the title race very soon like we witnessed in the previous season.

I think they did try to defend themselves and that is why it was advanced to a higher court. But what I think still is a problem is the fact that this was the Italien court that made a judgment, but Juventus could still be facing penalties from the UEFA if I understood all the circumstances of this case correctly. I think if there is anything else to come for Juventus, it should happen soon because it isn't helpful for anyone, not the fans and not the clubs, if those judgments can happen way in the future. So for now it is still up to the UEFA to also sanction Juventus. Let me know if there has been any update I overlooked.
I don't know about the pending case of Juventus with UEFA, it seems all is related or mistaken for the case in which the penalty was given by an Italian court. This is basically internal in the Serie A but if UEFA wants to escalate it, then good luck to them. My plight is that Juventus can never be exonerated in this, they should have known better and false accounting and financial irregularities are not something that can just be cooked by overseers.

They are only lucky that an appellant court helped in reducing 5 points from the penalty. Let it be a lesson to others.
4439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Is Crypto another form of gambling? on: June 09, 2023, 03:17:15 PM
I was kinda surprised when I read the news from Financial Times that the cross-section of the UK's MPs that seems to see it as needless to regulate cryptocurrency suggested that it should be viewed as "a form of gambling" and be regulated as such.

Without relying on my own understanding of "gambling," I quickly used the help of the Oxford Dictionary through Google, and it states;

1. Play games of chance for money; bet.
2. Take risky action in the hope of a desired result.

The second one seems to fit crypto best, so it's clear they know what they are saying.

Now, do you agree that crypto should be seen as a form of gambling? And if this eventually comes through, what should we expect as the constraints it might still bring to the crypto space?

It sucks to use that exchanges seizes customers funds and can't even tell them the reason if their actions. This means that the moment you sign up with them and keep your coins in the custody,it is no longer your coins because they can do whatever that they like with it and you don't have a voice on your own funds.

It is much better to deal with decentralized exchange like bisq, which it quite safe, than giving your hard earned funds to exchanges who are not trusted and can freeze your access due to their own selfish interest. Too many nonsense reason why a customer funds should be freeze  Not your keys not your coins
Don't be surprised about this pal, as long as it's a custodial arrangement, they can do and undo it if they want. However, I am surprised about your defence of Coinbase, do they have such integrity and review that much? I say No. They might be careful with the Yankee people though. For the avoidance of doubts, take your time to investigate with more people both offline and online, you will realize that they are not worth defending.

Some assets might not be legal, and they will use the opportunity to blackmail the owner to seize it, but do they declare it? That's the point. While some would be legal but might want to do more investigation or even scare the owner if they can reap them off.

This approach is not new in the world of trading and investment, and even in banking and other financial institutions.
