Still here. ^

I wonder at what price we start to move to the other stages? I would have thought this would be enough for them to at least start beating the (propaganda) drums of war.

I can't wait for live multisig and bulletproofs.  Game changers.

Checked your browser lately?   Lips sealed Tongue
What do you mean? Small measurements will be present

All the browser based monero miners would be part of that unknown total.

Monero is the state of the art in money.  Nothing better expresses the qualities of money better than Monero.  After Bitcoin has gone to zero for its political deadlock and unsuitability for use, Monero will still be money.  So yeah, but not for long: By the time it passes 0.1 BTC it will be poised to rapidly surpass 1.0 BTC, then eventually 10BTC, 100BTC and perhaps even 1000BTC, depending on whether or not a settlements network can be salvaged from the ashes of Bitcoin.

That is both a bold and somewhat frightening prediction.

I am curious of peoples views of the emerging blocksize/fee issues bitcoin is facing, as well as the attacks on BTC currently - particularly in regards to Monero value, both from a speculative investment perspective as well as a project.

My own views here are just forming.. and frankly I am a bit adrift.  Not sure where I see things going...

Is Monero transmuting itself to keep up with Verge?

Lord, we can only hope so!  Verge is SOOOO advanced.

The predictions paint 3 EXTREMELY positive scenarios and everyone is shitting their pants.  Lol.

Such impatience.

Much learning opportunity.

Memory of the 2014-2015 bear market has left us seared with scars, wounds only recently healed.

Oh... I was here.  I remember that time.

The good news is we will never have to live through THAT bear again.  Wink

Creation of fiat is neccessary because they amount of goods, services, and people are constantly growing. If there was no new fiat, fiat would be deflationary and then nobody would spend it - only hoard it like bitcoins.

this

Does anyone remember computers? You used to have your money set aside to buy a computer...you go to the store and buy one, then a month later you find out that the same computer money has more value now, the computer you have is worth a lot less and you could have something better...if only you didn't spend that money on the computer and waited.

I guess the ad geniuses didn't think that through when they came up with those gizmos.
Yup, and that why so few of them are selling.

I hate to burst your bubble but this is probably going down.
Proudhon is so much better at this...

Fees are getting a bit better. Of course they would be much better if Coinbase and others used Segwit.

As soon as fees clear I am going to move every single bitcoin I have in cold storage to segwit addresses.

Any idea what is driving this selloff and volatility ?

Started tanking right after Adam admitted Blockstream employs an army of full-time paid shills.

You seem to think the price is tanking because of a tweet from a person you disagree with?

Well, no. I merely pointed out the time correlation. I said nothing about causation. What's the problem - reading or logic?

Nice ad-hom.  But to your question...  I reasonably thought you were implying causation as any logical person would...  If you were not implying causation then you are admitting to just being a full of shit troll.  Thanks for playing.

Newest:

So, I'm without a computer, in this word. Who will illustrate - I will be grateful.

So here I see further options:
1. The giant triangle from 20k to 10k (+/- maybe a little lower) - with a further exit under 70k. Well, or some kind of consolidation - a flag, a wedge, a pennant ... A month or two

2. The classic output bitcoin from the bear trap is bluntly up. At 70k. Up to a month

3. Deep correction to strong levels 2-5k. A few years. And up to 100k +

In any case, we must look at the weekly candle - how it will close. If 10k will stand on a week level, if it does not hit the previous week bottom - the price will soon recover and popret further.

Take a peek into the inner workings. Technical discussion on address format is strangely compelling.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2624630.0

Are addresses going to be longer because there is a concern they can be cracked with quantum computers within the next 10-20 years?  I think I read this somewhere.

I like how casascius (Mike Caldwell) jabbed Core fees!

"Neurotypical users will probably applaud having the transaction fees back under $1 before they give accolades for typo correction.  Core will lead the way in most efficient usage of pixels in a QR code, while economic forces make winners of the alt coins that don’t charge $30 in fees to do a simple transaction."

Did you happen to also notice who he said would be interested in the lower fees?

Seasons greetings

Seasons greetings... Are we in such a pc culture that nobody can just say happy kwanzaa any more?

Merry christmas bud.

Merry Christmas you lot.

Happy Hodledays

Now the price has flown from the daily top BB directly to the lower deviation. Somewhere from 11,000 and below buy all 100500% safe.

At the very least, we will return to daytime MA20, and then in general we will cut this fall to the level of 62% of Fibonacci.

Who understands this - what are you waiting for? (the song is called Chance)

Sounds to me like he's saying we bounce here...

My partner just mumbled something about "I guess I should buy at these prices".

I consider this a bullish sign.

An eagles cawing is heard echoing across the desolate plains. The water buffalo perks its ears.

Some day I would like to buy you a beer. Wink

If not for Ver, it would have been another drama to fuel the drop anyway

Nice rationalization.  And true.  Here's another one:  I am glad we are having this now as opposed to having it from 30, 40 or 50k.  We have a chance not to see a 3 year bear if we show strength near this level.

BUT THAT DOESN'T MAKE VER RIGHT

These things done as intentional sabotage are both wrong, and wrongheaded.  I am sorry innocent people are hurt by these actions.

You seem to think the price is tanking because of a tweet from a person you disagree with?  That's cute.

Powerful bitcoin organizations waging a war of words or ideals is not really going to affect the price.  Yes it might currently fit your narrative but you are wrong.

On the other hand someone spamming the BTC blockchain "for the good of the space" was indeed a key factor in this correction.  There is NO DOUBT.   Someone saw a potential fire and so they PURPOSELY blocked all the exits.  So we can all learn a "valuable lesson".

But yeah... it was probably the tweet.
