4422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2.66 BTC fee for one transaction on: July 25, 2021, 11:08:52 PM
Based on that transaction it has a large number of outputs including small BTC so I think whoever made it doesn't know how to consolidate the transaction.
He sent only 0.01088549BTC why he didn't just choose one output with that amount to send and pay the fee less than the fee from this transaction. It has 750+ outputs which is one of the reasons why he pays a large fee just to send a small amount.

I'm sure this is a newbie he doesn't know how to consolidate the transaction to get less transaction fee in the future.

The standard explanation for this is that it was a senders mistake. But it could be as well money laundering. If the sender is the miner or a person dealing with the miner it could be that this fee close to $100k was paid by intention to convert bitcoin from criminal activity into miners coins which are usually seen as innocent virgin coins.

I don't think that's the reason and it won't help to make your BTC clean and actually if someone mine that blocks with that transaction it's randomly distributed to the miners(from pool to miners). They can not control this to give the fee to selected miners and only pool operators can manually select what transaction they want to include on the block but by default most pools automatically choose a transaction with a large transaction fee.

Also, if you want to make your BTC clean you will need a mixer to convert your BTC(Bad) to BTC(Clean) there are lots of mixers and you don't need to pay a large fee for mixing like the mixer under my signature.
4423  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How do you view all your trade history in the Binance website? on: July 25, 2021, 06:14:50 PM
What do you mean it goes away? Do you mean that all of your trading history is gone?

Check the date they have daily, weekly, and monthly or you can set it to a specific date.

Look at this

You can find it in classic or in advanced trading at the bottom under "Trade History".

Maybe yours is set to 1 day that is why your trading history went gone after a day try to set it to 3 months.
4424  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Description field changes automatically on: July 25, 2021, 05:03:41 PM
Do you mean it shows like this below on the history tab after the sync?

Or you made the transaction on "pay to many" with a description but after you made the transaction you only have one description?

I think if it's in your history tab you can just manually edit it just right-click then edit the description. There is no option to disable it.
4425  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: site allowing the purchase with fiat currencies of a newbie to send to our adres on: July 24, 2021, 11:32:14 PM
I found some results using Google, but they are not very good[1][2] and I did not find many details about that site.

I don't know if it's a scam or not but one of the forum moderators(xandry) recommend this site

You can find the post from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5263013.msg56887761#msg56887761

So I guess Guardarian can be trusted.
4426  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium in-app sports betting on: July 24, 2021, 10:12:43 PM

Does anyone know any active representative or dev of mycelium wallet around the forum?

Leo Wandersleb is one of the active wallet developers on Github they mostly called it Gizmo I tried to search it here and found this account below.

So I guess it's him, base on his old posts?
4427  Other / Meta / Re: BAN APPEAL on: July 23, 2021, 11:54:37 PM
Next time give proper credit if where you copy them without it it will be considered plagiarism which is one of the forum rules and you will be punished(Ban forever).

By the way, what do you mean by "This is the Internet?"

He might be talking about the internet in their home, not the forum, or he may be blaming the slow internet.  Cheesy

4428  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Does anyone know how to define a custom fee (BATCH transactions) on: July 23, 2021, 11:16:29 PM
I don't see any parameter to add custom fees using RPC sendmany from here https://chainquery.com/bitcoin-cli/sendmany

However, you can change your fee by using the command below you can edit the 0.0001 to any fee you want.

Sample
Code:
settxfee 0.0001
Source of idea: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1006929.0

Use that command first before you make a batch transactions.
4429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Trading Bot to accumulate specific Coin - needed on: July 23, 2021, 09:18:31 PM
The Zenbot trading bot is another alternative for Gekko, but they both need some coding skills and technical skills for creating strategies.

If you want a trading bot that doesn't need coding you can try other trading bots like GunBot or 3commas or if you are looking for a big list of trading bots you can check this link below.

4430  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Chain cards do not work with Antminer S9i on: July 23, 2021, 05:47:11 PM
The kernel logs are not complete you must post the whole kernel logs so that we can find the issue.

If you can't post the whole logs here due to your rank and limitation you can use this https://pastebin.com/ and paste the link here.

Anyway, can you try to check the cable physically, and maybe one of the PSU or the ribbon cable is not well attached?
If that's the case just unplug and plug it back and check if it is well-attached and try to run the miner again. Only do this if the NotATether suggestion doesn't work.
4431  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: bitcoin Armory no longer functional after windows 10 updates on: July 23, 2021, 05:27:07 PM
Same here I also experience this issue but with other software, not the Armory wallet. However, I solved the issue by revert back or uninstalling the latest update.

So you can try to uninstall the update to fix the issue. Just go to windows settings(Windows+i)> updates and security> update history> uninstall updates. Find the latest update and uninstall it after that restart the PC and try to run Armory again.

Let us know if it fixed your issue.
4432  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How can I use electrum to receive payments on my site? on: July 22, 2021, 09:04:40 AM
I think if you are going to use BTCpayserver as suggested above you will need to implement API on NodeJS.

You can follow this guide below for installation.

Blockonomics is another alternative check the installation guide below.

Then check the Blockonomics API documentation here https://www.blockonomics.co/views/api.html
4433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin losing its importance on: July 22, 2021, 01:17:46 AM
I tried to search the Elon musk tweet but I couldn't find it.

Does it seem that you heard them from blogs, news, or articles? They already publish that news last month but that news doesn't have a big impact on the market.

The market is trying to decline but there is strong support on $29k-$30k. My bad I set my stop limit on $30k and it triggered and sold
I lost 8%-10% just now I thought that it won't bounce back. I look at the 1-month chart it's pretty stable playing at $29k to $35k just like what franky1 said above.
4434  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Hello does anyone knows how reedem casascius Bitcoin? on: July 22, 2021, 12:26:37 AM
If your casascius coin has a sticker on the back with a mini private key you can redeem it with Electrum.
You can download Electrum wallet from https://electrum.org/

And then use this format below when importing the mini private key

Code:
p2pkh:Your mini private key
4435  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Ledger and Electrum addresses don't match on: July 21, 2021, 11:58:52 PM
It's on Ledger Live, I only used Electrum as a tool for signing because as you say, you can't sign with Ledger Live.

what if I copied the address from Ledger Live instead of Electrum I wonder?

Is there possibly another method of proof of ownership of the wallet and address?  I wonder if a physical printout from the receiving address in Ledger live and a signature would work?

Ok, so it's in your ledger live.
Do you have any funds in your Electrum(Your current wallet)?

If you don't have funds in your Electrum you can proceed to recreate your wallet again with your ledger nano but this time set it to a different derivation path.

Choose p2sh-segwit - m/49'/0'/0' and then let see if you can find the address there

This is another alternative just to find the exact derivation path of the address from your ledger live I don't know if this one will work but just try this.
If you already made some transaction on this address or if the address that you want to make a signed message has current funds this method might be work.

Here's the method

- Open the Electrum again
- Go to wallet then information
- Copy the master public key
- And then paste it here https://blockpath.com/wallets/local/101?action=appxpub

That tool will scan all possible derivation paths and find any used addresses if the tools find the exact derivation path set up your Electrum wallet again and use the derivation path that you scan from that tool and let's hope that you can find the address that you want to sign message.
4436  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Ledger and Electrum addresses don't match on: July 21, 2021, 12:09:07 PM
How else can I prove ownership of the address?  I assumed that once I signed and verified the address via the Ledger Live/Electrum method (which was successful) that I needed to send those details (address, message, signing hash) to the person that needs to verify it for proof?

This in theory should be a simple task but I'm on it for two days now.

You can't able to make a "sign message" on Ledger live unlike the old ledger app so you can only make a sign message on Electrum.

Just to make it clear is the BTC address you want to make a sign message is in your Ledger live? or in Electrum?

4437  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Ledger and Electrum addresses don't match on: July 21, 2021, 10:57:37 AM
So you are using bech32 or segwit address that starts with bc1 it won't work on https://tools.bitcoin.com/verify-message/

But there is a way to make it a valid bitcoin address when pasting it on that tool you have to convert the bech32 to a legacy address to make it valid.

You can find the guide from here "How to verify SegWit signature with Brainwallet?" this method works for me

No one yet develops a tool to directly convert the Segwit address to a legacy address so you will need 2 more tools to decode the Segwit address and paste the decoded data to another tool to convert it to a legacy address.

Most of the addresses on Ledger Live start with 3, even though, the addresses still don't match up to the addresses showing on Electrum.

What exactly are the addresses from your Electrum wallet is it starts with 1 or bc1?
4438  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Okex vs Binance on: July 21, 2021, 10:08:47 AM
they are offering a referral program but only afther you bring  10 active affiliates

You can still earn from trading fees if your invitees are actively trading on Okex.

Read this

2. Once you have 10 referrals who've claimed $10 rewards for buying crypto, you can become an OKEx affiliate and start earning % of your invitees' trading fees. In that case, you're no longer eligible to receive the referral rewards.

For the first 10 referrals, you both receive $10 after the invitees successfully purchased crypto but it's limited to 10 referrals.
However, you can still earn from trading fees from your invitees so if you have more than 10 referrals you can still earn from trading fees. According to them, you can earn up to 50% of their trading fees compared to Binance that only offers "up to 40% commission". The good thing about Okex referral is you can earn clean $10 for each referral, unlike Binance.
4439  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Ledger and Electrum addresses don't match on: July 21, 2021, 09:37:30 AM
I guess the ledger wallet you mean is the ledger live.

According to this "Receiving address changed" every time you receive a transaction from your Bitcoin address(Or bitcoin-based assets) from ledger live it changes to a different address. So maybe the address that you see from ledger live is different from what you see on receive tab on Electrum.

Can you try to check the addresses tab on Electrum? If you don't know how to find the addresses tab check this image below.

Click that "Show addresses" it should show new tab "addresses" click that and try to find the address that you use from ledger live. If you can't find it it might be on a different derivation path.
4440  Other / Off-topic / Re: Don't trust anti-viruses for your security on: July 20, 2021, 05:20:43 PM
The big mistake here was he didn't notice the domain or URL of the website why would he blame antivirus for his mistake.

Look at the details of the domain

Code:
Domain:myewetlhervwallet.com
Registrar:NameCheap, Inc.
Registered On:2021-05-08
Expires On:2022-05-08
Updated On:2021-05-08
Status:clientTransferProhibited
Name Servers:dns1.namecheaphosting.com
dns2.namecheaphosting.com

The domain is pretty new that's a 2 month's old website so I think the antivirus only puts a red flag on the website if they only receive reports but since the domain is newly registered and no one reported it yet they shows a green flag.

I hope that man learns from his mistake, always check the domain URL before you log in.

Actually, google also has a mistake here in accepting fake websites they should manually review websites before they release it to the public as ads.
I'm sure those people who made the phishing site abusing the Google ads weakness they also giving free ads credit for new advertisers.
